Oh my goodness, this is another winner for this author! I am a fan of her paranormal books. This one carries a little of everything in the story. I loved the storyline. The world is up against creatures of the night..but the world has magic. The story has adventure, romance, fun (for me), drama, and a badass young woman who falls in love with one of those creatures and tries to change things. You must read this book. I recommend it. This author doesn’t disappoint with her stories.

This first book in the series is a captivating historical fantasy romance with plenty of action, adventure, danger, and murder. The reader is pulled into the heat of the story right away and there are plenty of sizzling romance scenes. Anna is a strong heroine who can overcome unimaginable horrors to save the lives of her friends and family. The author made the story line and the characters come alive on the page!

This story briefly touches on things such as graciousness, thankfulness, and spending time with family. This is a unique short story that is creative, a dash of the unexpected with an enjoyable time. I would recommend this book to younger children. It is an adorable read.

Zoe has been training to rid the world of monsters for her whole life and her whole family are dedicated to the cause. Her life is set on its course. So, what happens when she falls for in love with one of the creatures of the dark? And what does the black mist have to do with it all? This is well worth the read to find out… As expected from Ms. King, this is a very imaginative, original, and well written story. The author has a very vivid storytelling style- with detailed descriptions, rich & vibrant scene setting, and wonderfully crafted characters. Through her words a whole new world opens up to us as- offering a very intriguing read. I would definitely love to read more about Zoe’s adventures as well as other stories based in this ‘world’. A Mountain In the Air trilogy by Laura Koerber is a fairly quick and easy read. It contains 3 short stories which have interconnected elements. They cover quite a lot- with dystopian details, magical realism, paranormal elements, dramatic developments, messages on climate change, life & death, emotion, and more. The trilogy contains: -Coyote’s Road Trip -Raven Woman’s Tavern -A Mountain In the Air This trio offers original and interesting stories with many thought provoking elements. And, as Ms. Koerber always manages to do, she weaves her story in a way that takes the reader on a journey, while also giving them pause for thought. There’s always more to her characters, and storyline, than first meets the eye- as you will discover in this trilogy. Happy Reading!

This book was well written and captivating that I felt like i was reading a book like someone life today. This book was so amazing that it was like I was actually there watching everything unfold in front of me and seeing everything so detailed. This book is extremely fast paced but easy to follow, and I couldn’t put it down. The stories inside were so amazing and interesting characters from shaft shifters, ghosts, talking trees, animals was all the bit captivating in their own little way. this book really brought the other books together and highly recommend reading them.

This story was well written and I couldn’t put it down! Cristy and Adam were amazing characters that I was rooting for from page one.
Cristy is no stranger to the paparazzi. They love running a story about her…good or bad. So, when she joins Balefire on their tour, she knows that the paps will find a way to make a story about anything. But, she likes it that way…because if she controls the narrative, then they don’t delve too far into her past to find one of the most hear-wrenching stories of all.
Adam is mesmerized by Cristy the first time she steps foot into the room. He has been enamored with her music for a while, but seeing her in person is like an arrow straight through the heart. What starts off as hormones and adrenaline quickly turns into real feelings. But he can tell Cristy is holding back…and he is determined to find out why.
This story was like reading a movie…I could see it all running through my head. The details really painted a picture. Adam and Cristy’s story is one of lust, love, heartbreak, and acceptance. It is a reminder that when you find the person that loves you unconditionally, you can weather any storm that comes your way. I loved all the references to pop culture musical artists. For a while, I forgot this wasn’t a true story! A great book that I enjoyed every second of!

Loretta’s Caterpillar was a cute story of how caterpillars become beautiful butterflies. Loretta woke up to no more butterflies flying around her garden and she got quite upset. When she went to investigate, she saw many little eggs on leaves. She started to look after one of them that she considered her pet. She saw the egg hatch, as a caterpillar, change colors, build a chrysalis, and become a beautiful butterfly. The author always takes Loretta on an adventure teaching the reader along the way about nature. Even as an adult I learned that caterpillars always eat their shedded skin and if the butterfly has black dots that indicates it’s a boy! The author always provided a summary at the end about the subject which is a great teaching moment.
This book was a first for me by author Glenn Maynards but I was definitely intrigued after reading the synopsis. I mean who hasn’t heard of Lizzie Borden and the axe murders. It is intriguing to wonder if there really could be a gene passed down that makes you predetermined to be a serial killer or monster. I mean there are genes for every other disease including psychological ones, it definitely could make you lose sleep at night.
Troy witnesses things in his lifetime that no one should have to, including the abuse of his father and death of his mother. Even though he could sense it was coming it just became another dark notch in his life. He decides not to call the police and instead keep his father alive and locked up in the house. Then enter Veronica with another life twist for Troy, she is pregnant with his baby. With such a small town and the dysfunctional family life of Troy, Veronica decides to do some research into Troy’s past and what she finds terrifies her. Can Veronica protect their baby from the evilness that is passed down in Troy’s family? Can Troy break the cycle or is he doomed to follow the same path of his ancestors?
The book is a well thought out, well written psychological thriller that will keep you turning pages to find out what happens next and may make you not want to sleep at night. The characters are well written and the storyline is easy to follow even though there sometimes seems to be several strands to pull until everything is unraveled. After reading this book I am intrigued to read other books by this author and cannot wait to see what other journey I can go on.

An introspective read by an extroverted introvert…
Emily is a high functioning person with anxiety. It impacts every aspect of her life from work, friends, and relationships. Maybe that’s why she’s 38 and still single. Or maybe she truly hasn’t found “the one” just yet. She frets over things that haven’t happened yet but also won’t back down from a challenge even though her inner self is screaming to run.
This book is very relatable on so many levels. Emily’s life isn’t much different from mine or many other women that I know. The fact that this author has sprinkled a mixture of truth of her own story into the telling of Emily’s story makes this a much more inspiring read. While this is a work of fiction, there is a lot of truth and lessons that can be taken from this narrative.

This is a fun children’s read about Caspian’s UnBirthday present, hot chocolate socks and the adventures they lead to. Caspian can’t seem to find anything good in getting brown socks as a gift until his grandpa shows him what the brown hot chocolate socks really can do.
This is a cute, imaginative story that has very colorful and appealing illustrations that help the reader travel through Caspian’s adventure along with him. This book has magic, adventure, and even shares knowledge in such a fun way that most won’t realize they are learning simultaneously. I truly enjoy and love this series by Lois Wickstrom about Caspian and his family. These are short stories that will spark most children’s imaginations while having a lesson hidden in them. The only thing I found remotely bothersome about this book is that grandpa lets Caspian skip school to go on an adventure because it’s his unbirthday. Do special days need to be celebrated? Yes, but it needs to be said how important school is as well. Definitely a series worth checking out though.

A Mountain in the Air: A Trilogy by Laura Koerber. This is a trilogy in one book and its very important you read them in order to totally understand. I really loved it. Its a dystopian, supernatural trilogy with shape shifters. Its the story of Coyote Jim who is a shape shifter and he spends most of his time in human form. His home has always been the desert but when climate changes destroys the desert he sets off to find a new home. On the way he meets all kinds of characters. He finds all kinds of stuff out about himself and others. Love, life and self discovery. In Raven Woman’s Tavern we meet Rachel the Raven woman who is a shape shifter and lives among survivalists. In the 3rd story we meet Jim the musician who chose to disappear in the mountains not wanting fame. This trilogy is written so well that you feel as if you are actually in the desert or mountains. Its full of mystery, magic and shape shifting. It will keep you reading late in the night.

Savage Start (Hidden Valley Elite Prequel) by Isla Vaughn. I loved this book and can’t wait to read more. This is about Riley who has had to travel from town to town because her family and more specifically her mom is always on the run. She’s been born into a family of female cons. When they move to Santa Monica Riley realizes she’s in a new world. Riley is walking along the beach and comes upon a party and decides to join. She’s a pure girl and is picky about who wins that. She meets a hunky guy that is perfect and he kisses her. Now all she can think about is him. She doesn’t even know his name. Cole’s life seems perfect on the outside but his dad’s cheating is embarrassing and pretty much ruined Cole’s life. This new girl is just the right thing to take his mind off it. Will Riley give what’s she’s been saving herself for just the right guy but is Cole it? Read this fast paced romance with dark secrets and see what happens!
This prequel leaves you so intrigued! It’s a bully romance unlike any that I’ve read so far. There is so much going on that leads to so many questions and no answers…I cannot wait for Savage Lies. Cole and Riley are going to bring so much more angst and hopefully some answers. I know their story is a duet so I will be (im)patiently waiting for each book. This was my first read from this author but definitely not my last.

An original trilogy with an intriguing storyline, the book consists of three connected novellas, set in a near future, dystopian world. In this dystopian fantasy the world has been ravaged by climate change, and this world has been brought vividly to life through the descriptive narrative. The story is full of unique characters, such as coyote shapeshifter and guardian spirit Jim. Jim is forced to leave his home due to the heat and drought, who travels through the Pacific Northwest searching for a new home.
Meanwhile, Rachel the Raven lives and runs a tavern in a dying timber town. She helps to protect the small community around her, a group of elderly survivalists. Then there is grunge musician Pete, who used to have a local following before disappearing into the wilderness of Mt. Rainier forty years ago. Feeling lonely he starts to reach out to people, in their dreams. This is an enjoyable and engaging read with interesting characters all of whom have a story to tell. The trilogy kept me hooked from start to finish, and I would definitely recommend it.

I enjoyed this new adventure with Caspian and his grandfather. This is a cute little story and I think many kids will enjoy it. This author has developed a fun world where Caspian and his grandfather have many adventures and this one was fun. I recommend this author and this story to anyone who has children that love to read and love adventures.
I enjoyed this novel, as it completes the story of Coyote Jim by combining three novellas into one book. These stories have a very spiritual message. I really enjoyed the book and the message from the author. The author has developed a very interesting landscape and characters. The message is important and I think many people will enjoy the story.

An enjoyable and engaging romance with a paranormal twist, which I really enjoyed. Maddie, Charlie and Cole are childhood friends, teenage crushes and then lovers, the only thing is, it’s all in Maddie’s dreams. However, her dreams seem so real that it can’t just be a fantasy and when she comes face to face with Charlie and Cole in the real world, she then has a choice to make. Charlie and Cole are both very real and have been meeting Maddie in her dreams for years, both loving and pining for her. Not being able to hide their feelings any longer they decide to confront Maddie, and convince her that they are indeed real and both in love with her.
Thinking she will have to choose between her two soulmates Maddie is confused, but she soon learns that the three of them are meant to be together. Just as their relationship is developing an unknown danger looms over the three of them, but Charlie and Cole are determined to protect Maddie, even if they risk their own lives. This is a fairly short read but it is full of romance, drama, the paranormal and plenty of steamy scenes. The characters are likeable and realistic and the chemistry between the three of them really sizzled off the page. The storyline had me hooked from start to finish and I look forward to the next book in this series.

I really loved this book! The story flows and the romance moves right along. The book kept me engaged and I could have read this in one day but I had to break it into two because you know…life. I enjoyed the characters.
Kayla and Evan had a hard time getting together. Multiple things stood in their way or jumped in their way as the story moved along. I was rooting for them the while time. That first kiss!!! WOW! It gave me chills! Soo Sexy! There is nothing better than a good first kiss. It grabs the reader’s attention.
The ending seemed kind of rushed to me. I was surprised neither of the MC had a problem with the way things went down. Feathers ruffled at least. I wish that could have been fixed earlier then time could have been spent on the suspense part and not doing both together.
Overall its a wonderful and enjoyable story. Filled with a lot of lightheartedness, suspense and fun characters. I look forward to more in the series.

Having read the first book I couldn’t wait to get into this one despite having read the first book my attention was grabbed by two relatable things , suicide and farming ….,
Having lost someone I loved to suicide I could identify with Grace and Ryan on an emotional level and with Grace and the family farm I identified on another level as I’m married to a farmer and we live on the family farm and bought the farm over from my husbands parents ❣️
Grace’s hand is forced to a degree to buy her folks out when mom gets ill and she has plenty of ideas to rescue the farm and it’s looming downfall but that also means facing “demons” when she has to take hands with Ryan and to a degree he’s a reminder of what she’s lost and in the same breath it couldn’t have been easy for Ryan because of the bon his sister shared with Grace , maybe I’m just too emotionally involved but my heart did bleed and rejoice at the same time because I felt this on so many different levels …..

This book give such a raw and honest look at the author and her inner thoughts. But it also goes much further than that. It forces the reader to take a look at themselves too, taking you on the journey the authors goes through. Even if you don’t relate to every one of the struggles portrayed in this book, every person will relate to at least one of them. The emotions are present throughout this book too. You experience them all as you read through this story and each one is effective and powerful. From the description I thought I would enjoy this book, I just didn’t expect to enjoy it quite as much as I did. This is definitely one everyone should add to their list!

This is a great collection that ties together three novellas. They are really well written and detailed, the authors interest and passion clearly coming through on each page. Although they are all short stories, they are fast paced and have the right amount of suspense for this type of story. The author has created some truly interesting characters. They show shape shifters from a different perspective and really get you, as the reader thinking. They are likeable and relatable. These books felt different to others I have read by this author and I found them thoroughly enjoyable.

I love myself a good MC and it’s been a wee while since I’ve heard the purr of a Harley so this really was a treat 🫶🏼
So Storyteller finds a book and his conscious bothers him and he’s determined to find the owner and return it ( I’m already in love ❣️📚😂) but in doing so he stumbles into a rather precarious position and said owner of the book , Sheri is in life threatening situation both he and Sheri are fighting for their lives but end up walking away from the traumatic experience….
I know bikers are big and bad but there are those that just draw the line where innocents and trafficking is concerned and that speaks volumes of their character ❣️
A few years down the line and Sheri again finds herself in a frightful position and again it’s Storyteller that comes to her rescue 🫶🏼and they do get their HEA but there were moments where I had my doubts and held my breath with great anxiety!
An absolute pleasure to get lost in between these pages !

It is February 14th and it is Caspian’s Unbirthday and every year, his Grandpa gets him a mysterious gift and when Caspian wakes up, this year is no exception, he finds his Unbirthday box and sees a note within “Enjoy your hot chocolate socks” but when he just sees brown socks, Caspian is disappointed.
When he is asked about it, he answers “What is good about brown socks?” but his Grandpa has a smile on his face and so when he pours some hot chocolate on Caspian’s socks, he is unimpressed until he starts to float in the air! His Grandpa soon joins him in the air and passes Caspian a broom while grasping a mop, but where will they go on their adventure?
This is a fun filled children’s book with a good message and beautiful illustrations within which can be enjoyed by all ages with its upbeat story and wholesome content.

This is the 3rd installment in the Benoit and Dayne Mystery Books; however, it can be read as a standalone (I did) without any pertinent information being missed. I was hooked from the first chapter and this was just escape I was looking for this weekend! I couldn’t put this book down and I was on the edge of my seat. We follow the story of Elizabeth Benoit, who’s now the county sheriff, and Lila Dayne, the Deputy Detective who also happens to be the girlfriend of a 25-year-old murder victim’s brother (very important to the story :)) This is a fast-paced, action-packed story that kept me turning the pages long after I should have been in bed.

This is a collection of three books. Coyote’s Road Trip, Raven Woman’s Tavern and A Mountain In The Air. Each book is beautifully unique and the authors writing is so beautiful and descriptive that you feel drawn away into the world where magic and real life exist. I do recommend reading the books in order you can fully understand the characters as they do repeat and appear in each story. The author deals with subject such as climate change and how our future could look. In the last book you see the completion of the previous 2 books with all your questions being answered. For me the last book was a very emotional read as it dealt with death but it was still beautifully written. If you would like to read a tale which could be a glimpse of our future written in a way that will transport you with beautiful words then these books are definately a good read.

The Man in Black was such a pleasant surprise! I don’t tend to enjoy westerns, they just have never really been my kind of stories. However, the blurb for this one was so intriguing I figured I should give it a shot, & I am so happy I did. Beautifully written & artfully crafted, the reader feels truly involved in the lives of these men. Simon is truly a little cinnamon roll & I really adored him, along with the delicious jalapeno popper that is Monty. While this book is looong & slow, I was so interested & emotionally invested it didn’t feel tedious. There were some surprisingly spooky things in Simon’s dreams, a few heart pounding scenes, & unexpectedly heart tugging moments in both lovely ways & awful ways. I teared up multiple times throughout this book over small spots of big love. I did have to put it down a couple of times to take a breath or 2 because I’m highly sensitive to triggers involving children, but there are clues that lead up to those parts so anyone else like me can either be prepared or choose to skip over them. They aren’t overly detailed or gratuitous or anything, it’s just me being HIGHLY sensitive to that specifically. I also put the book down toward the end, for almost a whole day, because I was so mad lol. But that is a sign of a very good book! And when it came to the last word, everything that happened really did fit & make sense to the storyline, if not my battered heart. Truly worth the bittersweet read.

I thought this book was straight to the point. Lovely Jo is the maid of a wealthy family. When her boss is found dead, everyone blames her and she is on the run. This is set in the old Western times. An African American maid accused of killing her rich white boss. She knows she cannot be found or it will not be good. Will the one person she goes to for help, risk it and help her or turn her in?
