Could you imagine that your first date with a fellow is your actual wedding date to him? We all have our reasons for getting married- love, money, happiness, position in life but what is yours? For Abi, she married for the money to pay off her sister’s incredible medical bill from cancer treatment. Finn married to rehab his reputation. Will these two find romance or are they strictly married for their personal reasons? Not only being married but being married on a Hollywood production and having almost every moment of their lives filmed, critiqued, and questioned?
Such a great read and so intriguing! No spoilers here of course but I love both of the main characters with all their flaws, reasoning, and baggage that follows them into their marriage. The story is told from both of their perspectives and it’s very interesting to be able to hear their inner thoughts on the matter. The characters are well developed and so it is easy to fall in love and then fall out of love with these two. Can I just say that some parts of the book had me yelling at Finn and Abi for the dumb way they handled things or for making such crazy decisions. A must read if you like romance. And the steamy scenes are definitely steamy!

Finn McCarthy is on his way to being an A-lister actor when his image and trust are destroyed by a conniving ex. Finn’s agent has signed him up for a reality show in hopes to clean up his image. Could Finn really pull off the biggest role of his life and not fall in love?
This was a great RomCon. It really makes you think could you be in this situation? Could you marry someone at first sight?? I can’t wait to read more from this series.

This book is the first in the series and will have you wanting to finish it in one sitting. This book takes you on so many twists and turns that you won’t even know what to think or what to feel. This book is well written to where you will feel the same feeling that the characters are feeling. It is an absolute page turner. The steam in the story is really tastefully done that it fits in with the story line. The steam seems valid like you can actually picture it happening the way that it does between the characters. There is a lot of dialogue with the characters in this book but it doesn’t feel overdone it gives you, the reader, further insight to what is going on and help builds for the action pact sequences that follow. There is a bit of everything in this book that will appeal to all readers. You have your paranormal elements, action packed scenes, steam from a budding romance, and characters that are handling major things and still coming into their own. It is an easy read and you will constantly keep turning the pages just to see how things are going to end up.

YES! I absolutely loved this reverse harem. I was hoping the angsty portion would be a little more prolonged, to really squeeze my heart, but it was still enough. The story flowed nicely, the characters were easy to fall in love with, everything was perfect. I really loved watching all the characters interact with Gia, and that they were all so accepting of her. Katherine is a real piece of work, as was, James. Some people with money are just so slimy and greedy, while others are loving and generous. I look forward to reading more curvy girl reverse harem books from this author!

I have worked for 8 years in healthcare, and I LOVE when I find a great medical romance novel to read! Romance books are my absolute FAVORITES to read and this one just made my list for ones that are my go to list to reread when I cannot find another good one to read. The way the author wrote this story had me sitting on the edge of my seat. The absolute chemistry between the characters was written expertly and I was captivated. This was a very great read and I cannot wait to find more great books by this author to read! My friends will for sure be reading this one next as I cannot stop thinking about this book. It is playing in my head rent free while I should be working.

My Pearl Heart is a short contemporary romance that follows Jasmine and James. It was an easy story to follow but I did struggle at times to connect with the characters and their relationships, especially Cadence. The rest of the storyline was entertaining enough to keep me vested until the end. The author’s writing style and imagery was spot on, so I will definitely be checking out some of her other books.

Just loving this fun cover 😍

I’m not the biggest fan of Hollywood romance but I’m both grateful and thrilled to have been given the gift of Abi and Finn ❣️

Now where start with these two endearing souls ….

Abi is the girl you can’t help but love , she’s found herself in a rather precarious position where’s she’s in debt but of no wrong doing , the debt was incurred for her sister’s cancer treatment and now the big mountain in front of her is how to settle her debts and it would seem her answer is a show away …

So Abbi joins the show and she has to spend time with Finn, her now new husband and if Cupid is kind she gets her very own HEA and her debts are settled or she simply walks away with her debts settled , sound like a win win but is it really !?

Finn is your typical bad boy celeb and he has his agent killing fires all over the place and I’m sure sis agent has aged prematurely 🙈😂 his favour with fans is dwindling and desperate times call for desperate measures and so he joins the show ….

I must be honest I didn’t like Finn too much I. The beginning but be patient with him remember a diamond starts as a grain of sand and if Annni can do it so can we ❣️

This is the first book I’ve read by Sara Chislon. I absolutely love reading about Fae so I had to give this one a try and I was not disappointed. While it is about Fae, it is also a mystery. Jessa hears plants and flowers whisper to her, but she must block it out because being fae-touched can get her taken away. Her aunt gets a letter that seems to upset her and she needs to travel to her friend who lives near a crossing. Jessa talks her into taking her along. Can she control the whispers and help her aunt’s friend, or will she lose control and expose being fae-touched? If you enjoy books about fae and mysteries, definitely pick this one up! I can’t wait to read more about Jessa.

Whispers in the Waters is the prequel to the series Blood of the Fae. This is a Fantasy/Fae that I enjoyed reading and look forward to reading this series. This is a new author to me and I’m definitely looking forward to reading more from her. Her style of writing and her attention to detail along with fully developed characters that are relatable and fun make for a wonderful story. I had a hard time following at times but I think its because there’s a lot going on . Jessa has abilities that she keeps hidden because she fears what might happen if they were to be revealed. Get ready to be taken on quite the ride as we follow along with Jessa. I recommend reading this short story to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

While this book started off somewhat slow it did pick up and managed to capture my interest. The characters are well developed and mostly likable. The storyline has some twists, turns, mystery, and fantasy. For a prequel I found this a great beginning and look forward to reading the next. While this author is new to me I very much enjoyed her writing style. If you like fantasy and Fae novels this series is for you.

This is the second book of Madame Chalamet and let me say I was not disappointed! I loved that this time Elinor is supposed to be on vacation to attend the Winter Revel with her friend Charlotte but she seems to be unable to stay out of trouble. When the king falls ill from mysterious circumstances, Elinor takes it upon herself to figure out who is the true culprit. Not to mention she helps the living with spirits of the dead holding on or vice versa. I am a true foodie at heart and loved the descriptions of all the courses of food from the top chefs’ competition. I can’t wait to read the next installment of Ghost Mysteries.

This book helps to introduce the main character Madame Chalamet for this six-part novella series. The time period reminds me of Bridgeton where there are lords and ladies, castles, and dinner parties. The way that Madame Chalamet communicates to the dead is clearly explained at the beginning of the series and more pieces throughout. With a recently deceased body, she is able to grasp key information for the police. Due to the sensitive nature of the case the duke de Archambeau, Tristan Fontaine decides that she must remain at his residence until the case is solved. The twists and turns of the case are fun and made me unable to put the book down. There is still the underlying mystery of who killed her father to figure out but she is able to get another step closer by the end of the book.

This is the collection that is worth every page. When you begin each book, it’s impossible to put it down. Every story has its place within the series and adds a much needed element tying everything together. If you want drama, action, romance, suspense, and unpredictability it’s all there. There is someone for everyone and once your engrossed you will question how you waited so long.

This second collection of the series blew me away! I was more invested , involved, and edge every time I picked up my book.
Stone Sober was my absolute favorite. Sexy, intense, and erotic. Stone and Nora take you to unbelievable places.

Building Storm was emotional and heartfelt. I felt everything all in one with this emotional ride. As with her first collection it all tied in perfect.

Collection 3 I wanted to go on forever. I enjoyed every moment of my journey to the ending but did not want it to end. I felt each characters happiness, frustration, determination, adrenaline, and more. These characters became like family and the author deserves and applause for the amazing story she wove.

This Novella gave me a taste of Jessas’ world that makes me want more! For the book being so short I found the detail and mystery that Jessa solves to be engaging. Jessa is relatable in her instinct to protect her family and others around her. I loved the touch of magic added. With the fae-touched, I found it similar to how ladies were prosecuted back in the day for being mentally insane. I can’t wait to read the first book in the series Tattoo of Crimson (Blood of the Fae series).

I typically steer away from these rom-com genre of books, since my past experience was that the writing in these types of books was sub-par compared to darker and more intense reads. I’m thrilled to report that my assumptions were incorrect regarding this book. I was initially drawn in due to the plus-size main character, Stella, and the kink that accompanies the unique relationship she falls into. I was so pleasantly surprised to really connect to Stella and the other characters in the book. The writing was very well done and kept the reader thoroughly engaged throughout the story. Each character had a well developed personality, which added to the plot. This book was a fun, steamy, and entertaining read.

This was my first book by this author and it did not disappoint! I wasn’t completely sure what to expect, but I found a delightful story filled with fantasy mixed in with mystery. The author did a great job of creating a magical world where fantasy creatures blend in with the real world that rejects them and anyone touched by the Fae. We meet Jessa, a young lady, who is well bred, but has always wanted to walk a different path from her much loved older twin sisters. When her Aunt Caris, who lives with them, is summoned to a faraway town, near the OtherWorld, Jessa jumps at the chance to go with her. Soon after arriving, they find several mysteries, and despite multiple warnings, Jessa can’t help but start investigating, along with her cat, Jade. The author did a wonderful job of providing vivid descriptions in the story, as well as well round characters. This shorter story was a prequel to the series and was a great starting off point. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

The second book in the Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries set, fully composed of six books. Elinor Chalamet, crime fighting medium, returns for another round of ghost banter and mischief. I would recommend reading book 1 (Ghost Talker) before this one, as it builds on previous character development and helps to establish the momentum into Delicious Death. I really enjoyed that the story continues, but is not dragged out extensively. We find ourselves in a new location with a whole different array of ghosts and characters, and of course dilemmas to deal with! I did find this book to be a change of pace from book one, and a LITTLE slower, but still a fast and easy read that I highly enjoyed. Byrd Nash knows how to engage the reader and keep the pages turning, and I am looking forward to the next one.

Jessa has been raised within a proper family and has been taught that it is unacceptable to be different. She has been told that proper etiquette is to act timid and always remain ladylike. To silence the whispers that only she can hear Jessa turns to her drawings. As an herbalist she already knows that she is different from her two older sisters who are proper ladies.

When Jessa’s aunt receives a letter from an old friend of hers in another town who needs her help Jessa offers to accompany her aunt. Jessa’s aunt’s friend owns a mill near an Otherworldy Crossing where there is the presence of fae. Someone or something has been sabotaging the mill and it is up to Jessa to figure out who is responsible. To do so she must embrace that part of herself that she has kept hidden and risk being taken away by the vigil.

This book was refreshing, light and mysterious. I loved the element of magic and the special abilities that Jessa had but was forced to keep so well hidden. The character of Jessa was well written and showed the restraints that were placed on women in that time era. As the story evolved Jessa really started to develop as a person and come into her own. A great read that was hard to put down.

Would it be easier to just get married on the first date versus the awkward getting to know you questions? That is precisely what Abi and Fin are about to find out as they meet and get married on a reality TV show. Fin is convinced he needs to do this to save his career, while Abi sees it as a break from her tiring life of three jobs and endless debt. Will actual sparks fly though? Can love really start this way, or is it just going to be one awkward encounter after another?

Morgana Bevan has written a gem of a book here, with realistic characters that you want to cheer for. I love how we got a mixed pov and we’re able to get more insight into what each character was actually thinking and a more in depth look at their lives through their own eyes/ thoughts. This modern day marriage of convenience, contemporary hollywood romance was definitely a fun fast read. The characters’ entertaining often sassy banter mixed well with the awkwardness of being forced together, and helped the story flow really well. I love the strength Abi, the main female character, shows throughout as she deals with one thing after another. It was also nice to get to know Fin and see why he made some of the choices he did. To know him was to fall in love with him! I definitely want to read more in this series and recommend this book.

This is the first book I have read by Sarah Chislon; the title and cover are what drew me in. I love all things Fae related and this book was no different. Jessa is the youngest in her family with older twin sisters Ada and Ainslie. Unlike her sisters Jessa doesn’t worry about socially acceptable things, or marriage, she is drawn to nature, to plants.
It has been four years since their mother has passed, the sisters live with their father and two of their aunts. Shortly after her passing Jessa heard the whispers the first time, but her father chocked it up to stress of her mother’s passing. Now the whispers are back but stronger, the imaginary cage of thorns in her mind is getting harder to contain the whispers. One morning their Aunt Caris receives a letter, Jessa notices how she reacts and knows something is wrong. After some time, Jessa takes her aunt some lavender tea to help only to learn that her aunt plans to leave first thing in the morning for Milburn. With some convincing and permission from her father Jessa goes with her aunt on the long journey. Jessa has one main issue or fear, that others will think she is fae-touched, and the Vigil will place her in an institution as they have with so many others. Her mother loved to share stories about the Otherworld, a part of Jessa longed to be near or to at least see the world outside of her town. In Milburn there is a string of increasingly dangerous attacks, but Jessa must give into the whispers if she hopes to protect her aunt and the townspeople she has came to care for.
What will happen when Jessa finally listens to the whispers? Will Jessa be able to save the town in time? Can Jessa protect herself from the Vigil? The characters the author creates is one of proper ladies, but Jessa breaks the mold, she is more Intune with nature and her studies than with finding a husband. Her world is both one based in reality but has the mystical under the surface hiding in plain sight. I couldn’t put this book down and look forward to seeing where the world goes next in the first book Tattoo of Crimson officially out now.

5 Big Fabulous Bright Stars!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I have to say I LOVE book 1 of this series but I LOVED with all my heart and soul this book 2 of the series! Marley and Max…….their story from beginning to end was wonderful…a spicy beginning with no attachments to long lost love’s finding their way back together.

Marley and Max met by chance on a beach…..after Marley departs from a wedding that she was part of due to not wanting no more part of it…..and meeting Max and some champagne and flirty banter it was an evening they both never forgot…even though they never knew each other’s name. Marley goes back to New York to her life as a event planner and Max goes back to Quimby Grove to his bar that he owns.

A few years later, just by some chance….Marley and Max meet again…under different circumstances and event planning for an upcoming wedding…and Marley now has to come clean to Max to becoming a parent that he was not aware of.

Between trying to figure out how they fit into each others lives and also trying to raise children together…..Marley and Max held a flame for each other since their night on the beach. As they are trying to piece everything together…in the beautiful town of Quimby Grove..someone or something is lurking in the shadows causing a bit of chaos of break ins and crime. Will Marley and Max be safe…..

I loved this story and totally devoured every page. I highly recommend reading book 1 as characters from book 1 are also tied into book 2. I am praying for another book to this series…

This was a nice easy read! Of course to have a love story there’s a happy ending but I wanted more, I felt like something was missing as I read. I dont know if it was more back story but the story felt very forced. The characters were great but more development could have been for both! This is book two in the Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries by Byrd Nash. The author most definitely did not disappoint. I absolutely loved every aspect of this book, the characters are so easily to fall in love with, and the main plot is excellently woven, with a great complimented sub-plot. Madame Chalamet has been invited to The Winter Revels, a royal arts and skills competition the King throws every year, this year the main competition is cooking. In attendance is most of the nobility and a few commoners, including Mysir de Archambeau. Competing in the competition is her favorite Chef from the Crown Hotel. Madame Chalamet and Dr. LaRue have already found trouble before they even step off the train and they must absolutely help Lady Tulip Langenberg. An attempt on the King’s life makes for an interesting mystery; who in a house full of people want the King dead? Both Mysir de Archambeau and Madame Chalamet must get to the bottom of the assassination attempt, while Madame Chalamet is balancing trying to help Lady Tulip, and also has been called upon to help an older Widow let go of her husband who has been dead for five years. Will they be able to help everyone who needs their attention? What if they cannot uncover who tried to kill the King? Will the person try again? On top of these mysteries, the relationship between Madame Chalamet and the Duke is strengthening and seems to be more than platonic, at least I hope it will be! Cannot wait till I can read book three!

If you are looking for a mystery with some fantasy, then this quick read is for you.

Whispers in the Water by Sarah Chislon tells the story of gently-bred herbalist Jessa Caldwell as she goes on a journey to help her aunt. This seemingly secret journey her aunt is taking her on takes her away from home to a town near an Otherworldly Crossing, which runs the risk of having dangerous interactions with fae. Will Jessa be able to help her aunts friend and townsfolk by solving a mystery that can expose her own secret?

This slow burn was extremely well written and full of well thought out characters. Even though the book was short in length, it was full of descriptions and story building. I look forward to continuing Jessa’s story and can’t wait to see what mysteries she will be solving next.

Salvatore is your mafia leader, focused on his family and the family business. After an attack on his family he has to make some tough calls to keep everyone safe and make sure everyone knows no one messes with the Larussio family. Adrianna is a doctor working at the Larussio resort and wants to find out which member of the Larussio family killer her father.

The story was interesting, there was conflict, drama, passion and tons of emotions but some of the language was repetitive, and the way some of the drama unfolded didn’t sit right with me.

Overall would still recommend and will be looking at reading the next book.

This was a great book. I loved both characters. Abi isn’t afraid to stand up for herself. Finn had legitimate trust issues and while I usually don’t enjoy stories where the conflict can easily be solved by a simple conversation, in this case it made sense to me what happened, the sequence of events, and why each reacted the way they did. It actually made sense. I was pulled into this story and had a hard time putting it down.
