A Tangy Christmas Kiss Allyson R. Abbott is a captivating christmas romance. It is a short read but it hits all the marks. It is a sweet story that was entertaining and engaging and will make you laugh. It really was a comedy of errors from start to finish.
Mel can’t say no to her mum and this is where she finds herself on a trip of a lifetime. Or is it? Tired, different countries, a different language and a menagerie, yep, she is in over her head and anything that can go wrong definitely does.
Looking for a little something to relax for a few hours then grab a copy and enjoy.

I give A Tangy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott, 4stars.
Mel’s mother calls right before Christmas and talks her into a big favor — to go to Spain to help out her aunt who is having surgery. She agrees, but little does she know just what she’s in for. After too many days of travelling, and too many layovers, she misses the ride her aunt provided for her. She is alone and helpless in a country where she doesn’t know the language. Relying on the help of strangers, she finally makes it to her aunt’s. But it is nothing like she remembered as a child. She now has a lot to take care of and and she doesn’t even know where to begin. Can she do this?
This a nice, fun little Christmas romance book. Not very long, it can be read in one sitting. Mel is a good main character, trying to deal with things she has never encountered before. The story itself is new and interesting too. Being out of your element, especially at Christmas, is quite hard. But she endures because this is family. This story will make you laugh, cry, and everything in between.
If you like fun Christmas romances, this book is for you.

I love this time of year (November & December) because all the delightful Christmas stories come out.
A TANGY CHRISTMAS KISS is the perfect blend of tang and sweetness. This sweet holiday romance is filled with humor and courtship. It’s a short story that can be absolutely read in one sitting. This is one of those stories that I could see being made into a movie on one of those channels that run sweet movies all holiday season long.
I always enjoy Allyson R Abbott’s stories and this one is no different.

A Tangy Christmas Kiss By: Allyson R. Abbott 5 out of 5 stars
The story A Tangy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is a wonderful romantic holiday book. It weaves a story that has you laughing in some parts and feeling the magic and romance in others. The importance of family is highlighted. It a book I loved reading and didn’t want to put down until I finished the last page. I loved reading about the character of Mel. She is on her way to Spain, which is a last-minute request from her mother to watch her aunt’s home while she is in the hospital. From the very beginning things begin to happen in which causes her frustration and with the jet lag, she feels like she just wants to lay down and sleep. The lack of her speaking the Spanish language is another hurdle that she has. She does find herself being helped by a very handsome man who was seated next to her on the flight. While she may not know what he is saying she can’t say no to his assistance. How far will this stranger go out of his way to help Mel? What happens when she finally gets to her aunt’s home? Will she continue to see the attractive man that has assisted her? Read this story to find out. Mel goes through some very overwhelming situations. I could empathize with her and the situations that she finds herself in. This story had me with a smile on my face and with a heartwarming feeling. Christmas is a magical time of year and when reading about Mel I couldn’t help but hope it would be that way for her. This is an amazing story with wonderful characters. I highly recommend reading it.

This is a Christmas romance story that warmed my heart while at times heartbreaking. This is a story about a woman who travels to Spain to take care of her Aunt’s house, in the process she meets Lucas. Their story kept me engaged and I enjoyed the creativeness of the story itself. The chemistry between Mel and Lucas is strong and they are sweet characters that made the story flow. I highly recommend this sweet-warm Christmas story.

A Prickly Christmas Kiss By: Allyson R. Abbott 5 out of 5 stars
The story A Prickly Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is a wonderful holiday romance book that I loved reading. I found myself lost in the pages and feeling the magic and spirit of Christmas. I loved the character of Emma Louise Fallon or aka “Elf.” Elf’s plans for the holiday are changed when her girlfriend suddenly is not able to come to the cabin they were going to vacation at. She decides to still go to the cabin as planned and spend time on her own. What she doesn’t expect is how much work it will be in order to keep warm and maintain. When she stops in town she believes and has suspicions as to who a couple is that she meets and then there is Rudi, the part-time veterinarian, and cop, who she finds very attractive. What does this Christmas season hold for Elf? Will she spend it on her own or does the magic that comes along with the season have different plans for her? Read this book to find out. This is a story that is perfect to read around this time of year and had me either smiling or laughing out loud in some parts. I love when an animal is written into a story, so I loved reading about the stray cat that decides to keep Elf company. I would highly recommend this book.

Abbott – Review by Jenni Bishop
5 out of 5 stars This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Abbott but also the first book in the Christmas kiss series and I really enjoyed this short love story that had me laughing and rereading certain parts. I loved the setting and the small town that looks after their own and has amazing trust. The way Ms. Abbot descried the rustic setting and the isolation was perfect. The characters where well developed and the story line is amazing. This story starts off with Emma Louise Fallon, aka Elf on her way to meet her girlfriend for a Christmas get away. Anything scape her well-meaning family and her ex-boyfriend. Now she on her way to a cold isolated cabin when she gets a call from said girlfriend informing Elf she won’t be-able to meet her after all. Elf decides to head to the cabin and makes one more desperate wish: Can she please learn how to build a fire before she freezes to death? The solo rustic life is becoming all too much for her. She’s convinced that a stray cat, who has decided to keep her company, has magical powers, that the local shop owners are secretly Mr. and Mrs. Claus, and nothing can stop her from laughing when the hot local Martian /come cop /come veterinarian introduces himself as Rudi. Elf has sworn off all men so when she meets Rudi she feels things that make her act and talk crazy and by defense Rudi provokes the craziness as they fight their attraction for each other. Will Elf give into her attraction to Rudi or will she stand by her no man rule. Will Rudi show Elf that she can rely on him to help her start the fire? Will Elf get burned or will she get the happily ever after with Rudi. I really enjoyed this short funny read and can’t wait to read A Tangy Christmas Kiss book two of this series. Tracy Manderson

An English Rose: A Mother’s Love, A Love Inspired is a short story by Allyson R. Abbot and it is my first encounter with this writer! When I started out on the journey with widowed 85-year old Rosemary “Rose” into her daily life, I was not so sure about where it would take us and whether I would like the ride. I absolutely loved it! Reading her story it brought me back to my first time in England 20 years ago, staying in an over hundred years old cottage in Southern England, drinking tea and eating biscuits … Rose reminded me of the old grey-haired (at times blue haired) ladies I met and chatted with, the way I saw them counting pennies and enjoying a strong cup of tea with some Victoria sponge cake and … It also reminded me of my own grandmother, staying with her in the countryside in the farm, her teaching me cooking and baking … making silver dollar pancakes on the wood burning stove … It was a very emotional read, listening to Rose’s internal rumbling and fears and the loneliness … I loved her attitude and simplicity, her afternoon naps and her friendship with Bill … I loved how she managed find a new lease on her life, her determination to be there for her family and live as long as she could! No longer a grumpy old hag waiting for the death to come! Dear Ms Abbott, thank you for this sweet and real story that will remind us of the importance when it comes to our relationships with our elders!

5 Stars (Only because there’s no million stars option)
WOW, I do not think I’ve ever been so sad seeing the words The End in a book as I was when I saw them in this story.. This is my fourth or fifth book by this author and it left me wanting so so much more. I could have read 1000 pages about Rose. She is officially my new favorite book heroine EVER!!
The way this story was written was so so real, I felt like I knew these characters and while reading it I felt deep inside everything she was feeling, I’ve myself thought of my later years still to come and this story did nothing but give me hope. I swear I smiled throughout the entire story and laughed out loud a few times as well;
….Are you sure you can’t stay for some gassypatch soup? Your so funny, Mum. No, I can’t stay for gazpacho soup, but thanks for asking.
Then comes Bill on his scooter…I loved loved loved him!!!
I just can’t say enough about this story, or this author. She is an absolute favorite and an immediate one click. Everyone should read this book, it was written so beautifully and I’m still completely upset that it’s over.
Thank you Thank you Miss Abbott for a brilliantly written story that just plain made me feel good.

I thought this was a wonderful short novella! I loved the characters and it was so true to form about how sometimes things in life happen that you have to work through. I think that the author did a great job with the storyline but would have liked some of the scenes to be a little longer. At times I felt they were hurried and cut off what could have had just a little more feeling to it, if that makes sense. Over all this was an enjoyable read and I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Jill and Tom are spending Christmas home alone, no family, no kids, just the two of them . Tom has been out of work for two years and it has put a strain on not only their finances but their love life as well. Both are missing the intimacy that they have shared and wonder if it will ever come back. Tom has a new job to start and with it has bought a new found confidence that he has been sadly lacking the last two years.
They have decided to only spend five dollars on each other for Christmas presents and little do they know that they will be the best presents they could each have received at a much needed time.
I really enjoyed this book. This is a lovely story about two people rediscovering each other in more than one way and realising their love for each other is stronger than ever.
