Caging Grace (Grace Series Book 1) by Carsen Lane – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Caging Grace (Grace Series, #1).Caging Grace (Grace Series, #1). by Carsen Lane
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is book one of a series. It’s also the first book I’ve read by this author but I have to say I enjoyed it!

Grace is a fighter, in more than one sense of the word. Grace is determined and she’s doing everything she can for her family. Grace is fierce and independent and when she gets the chance to go pro she puts everything she has in it. Grace has to do everything she can to take care of her family. This story is about life and everything that comes with that.

I really enjoyed this story. I couldn’t get enough of it. I also liked that Grace, as the main character, is a fighter. You don’t see enough strong women doing something that is typically male dominated. I couldn’t put this down and can’t wait to see where the series goes next.

Everything to Me (Playing for Keeps Book 2) by Lauren Fraser – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Everything to Me (Playing for Keeps Book 2)Everything to Me by Lauren Fraser
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is book two of the series. This book can be read as a standalone. I read this book before book one but I’m definitely going to have to go back and read it because this one was great!!

Kendall has been in love with Pete forever. The only problems with that are he is her brothers best friend and he doesn’t feel the same about her. Kendall needs somewhere to stay while she’s in town and her brother suggested staying with Pete. She figures this is her chance to get him out of her system once and for all. She didn’t count on the chemistry to be out of this world.

I really enjoyed the banter between Kendall and Pete. She definitely walked onto the scene letting him know what she wanted. She definitely had a take charge attitude and it was refreshing! Pete is sweet and doesn’t seem to realize it too often. I enjoyed his character. This was a quick read. I didn’t want to put it down!

Reigning Hearts: The Complete Series (Books 1-5) by KG Fletcher – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Reigning Hearts: The Complete Series (Books 1-5)Reigning Hearts: The Complete Series by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This box set is the complete series. Five full length books! Each book is a standalone about a new couple and this box set is full of swoony heroes and strong women!

Each book in the series offers so many emotions and all the ups and downs you could need. There’s drama and twists and you’ll be on the edge of your seat. The great thing about the box set is you can still read out of order if you’d prefer.

I don’t want to give too much away about any of the books but I will say each book is well written and all of the characters are great! I think you’re going to have a hard time picking a favorite because I definitely did.

Unabridged (Smart & Sassy in the City, #2)Unabridged by Melinda De Ross
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this book. At the very least I’d get some laughs as it was described as a romantic comedy. Not that I had any doubts, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Angelina had a secret. It was the reason she ended things with Blade. She made a sacrifice for him because of her love for him. The only problem is, she didn’t tell Blade the reason. Why is that a problem you ask? Well now Blade is her boss and he still thinks she’s cold hearted. Will these two rekindle their love now that they spend time together again or is all hope lost?

I enjoyed this book. I got a few good laughs! The characters were great and I loved their interactions. If you’re in the mood for a light romance with some laughs, this is definitely for you!

Saving Marvel (Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #4) by Manda Mellett – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Saving Marvel (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation Book 4)Saving Marvel by Manda Mellett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is book four of the series. Due to some content, it may not be suitable for young readers.

Marvel loves the mismatched family the Mac created. While he is part of this family, he’s not quite the same. Everyone around his is building their family but Marvel doesn’t feel that same pull. His world was torn apart once and he’ll never give a woman the power to do that again. Virginia didn’t see the betrayal coming and didn’t expect to be blamed for something she had no part in. After hiding out to avoid the world, she never expected Marvel. Can two people who’ve been broken and betrayed, fix each other?

I really enjoyed this book. I’ve enjoyed every book I’ve read by this author. It just gets better and better! I loved the characters! Marvel wanted nothing to do with any woman and it was nice seeing how meeting the right one can change things. It was a good read!

This was such a sweet romantic comedy. It was a shorter read but I loved it.

This story is of a couple quite unlucky in many ways but definitely in love. They don’t see what fate has in store for them but as we follow their journey, they’ll figure it out together.

This story was well written and it really pulled me in. The characters chemistry really added to the story. The characters were relatable which added another great aspect to the story. All in all it was a great read!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book one of the series. It’s also the first book I’ve read by this author but boy did I get sucked in.

Deacon is back home in his small town and sure enough so is the girl that broke his heart. Deacon and Olivia, after some tension, have a second chance? Can they move passed the hurt or is it too much to get over?

This book has a little of everything. Racing, motorcycles, love – what’s there not to love? The characters are great and so well written. I was so immersed in the story!

Unchecked: A Steamy Love Triangle Love Romance by Carina Alyce – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Unchecked (MetroGen Downtown Kiss and Tell, #1)Unchecked by Carina Alyce
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book one of the series and as a warning, it does end on a cliffhanger but that is noted in the blurb. This book brings us some steamy romance and a good heaping pile of drama.

Stella’s younger years were a bit wild but now she is sober and crushing it as a surgeon. Stella likes to keep things interesting with her love life and juggles three very eligible bachelors. Could one of them be the one she settles down with or are none of them the perfect fit? Stella thought she had time to figure it out but life doesn’t always go as planned.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a nice change of pace to see Stella know what she wants and not be afraid to play the field a bit. The characters were great.

Bottom of the Chains - Prospect (Grimm Wolves MC #2)Bottom of the Chains – Prospect by D.M. Earl
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book two of the series. It can be read as a standalone. This is the first book I’ve read from this author but I enjoyed it.

Bullet never had a real family until he met The Grimm Wolves MC. But now he’s let them down and he is struggling to feel like he’s found his place. He has a lot of guilt and he’s working through along with dealing with nightmares from his past when he meets Clementine. Clementine is feisty and honestly a good match for Bullet. Will Bullet and Clementine give a relationship a fair chance or is there too much in the way?

I enjoyed this book. It’s very well written. I loved Clementine’s character. She really gives as good as she gets and there’s a lot of sass there. It was fun to read.

This book is a companion novel to book one of the series and is told in Diego’s point of view. This is the first book I’ve read by this author but I am definitely going to go back and read the other books in this series.

Diego isn’t exactly having the easiest of times right now. His divorce is getting messy and nothing is going his way. Diego agrees to take over for a fellow teacher as she goes out on maternity leave. This is how he meets Cassie. It’s after some one-on-on tutoring sessions that he is beginning to fall for her. Of course that’s a no no, she’s a student. They are drawn together and Diego can’t help but wanting to be close to her.

I really enjoyed this story. It was so well written, I just got pulled right into the story. I am definitely going to read the other books in this series.

Love’s Full Circle by Cherry Christensen – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Love's Full CircleLove’s Full Circle by Cherry Christensen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was a sweet second chance romance. I enjoyed this read. It was a nice change of pace.

Kayden and Liam have a past. A past in which Liam was quite a jerk. Kayden is happy with her life. She’s happy with her career. She can help people have the happy ending she didn’t get. Liam knows he messed up. It’s his one regret. Now that they are working in the same city, this is his chance to work for forgiveness and get Kayden back. It’s not nearly as easy as he had hoped and she’s not willing to trust him after their past. Will Kayden find it in her heart to forgive Liam or is the past too much to overcome?

I really enjoyed this book. Liam really was a jerk at first but I think he did well at redeeming himself. Forgiveness isn’t easy and Kayden was entitled to her pain. This book was very well written and I’m glad I picked it up.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was such a cute read! This is not the first book I’ve read from this author but it was just as good!

Lara loves her role running the bakery in her small town. What will happen when a new bakery threatens her place in town? Graham needs out of the big city. His bakery is much more than a bakery though. It’s a bakery with a side of love. Who can compete with that? Will Graham and Lara be able to co-exist in this small town romance?

Lara is so sassy and I couldn’t get enough of her banter with Graham. I also really enjoyed seeing Graham leave a job that made him unhappy to follow his dream with the bakery. It was refreshing to see that kind of vulnerability. I definitely enjoyed this book!

This book is the first book of the series. It’s also the first book I’ve read by this author. I’m glad I picked it up! This book was such a cute read.

Sophie and Gil have finished up filming their movie. Boy do they have chemistry both on and off set. Sophie and Gil both have their obstacles to work through. Sophie is used to being alone and Gil is afraid of commitment. Will these two be able to make it work off set? Is that even what they want? Gil talks Sophie into taking a break and going to France with him and his family. Maybe this trip is just what they need to figure things out?

I couldn’t get enough of Gil’s family. They were so crazy but it was fun! This book was very well written and was such a good read. I didn’t want to put it down!

This is the first book I’ve read by this author but holy cow was I sucked in. This was a fast read but I couldn’t put it down!!

Jeremy and Regan have chemistry galore! These characters are so well written by the time the story is over they feel more like friends than characters in a book. I felt connected to them and was really invested in how their story played out. I couldn’t stop reading because I had to know what was going to happen next. The whole book is well written. There is plenty of details to really pull you into the story. There’s some twists and turns to keep you engaged, which wasn’t a problem at all with this book. I highly recommend!

Road Rage (Outlaw Series Book 4) by Karina Kantas – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Road Rage (OUTLAW, #4)Road Rage by Karina Kantas
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the fourth book of the series but can be read as a standalone. There was a lot to unpack with this book but once you get sucked in you can’t help but keep reading! I couldn’t put it down.

Gem hasn’t had it easy but now she’s playing it safe. That is until she meets Shep and his MC. Everything is fine until it starts taking a turn for the worst. So much happens, it was hard to keep straight at first but you definitely get sucked in and have to keep reading to see how it plays out.

Gem is a great character. She is tough and you can’t help but root for her and her happiness. She’s an easy character to relate to. There are some tough subjects that are broached but I think the author did a very good job touching on them. I am definitely going to have to read the other books in the series.

Doctor D’s Orderly Affair (Doctors of Eastport General) by C.A. King – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Doctor D's Orderly AffairDoctor D’s Orderly Affair by C.A. King
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was a quick read but I couldn’t put it down!

Dr. Desmond Danielson, or Dr. D as he is often referred to, definitely has a reputation and it’s only good for one night. He knows what people call him and he catches the glances he gets at the hospital and he’s not totally comfortable with any of it. That is until he sees Emily and she doesn’t spare him a second glance. He is instantly intrigued. Emily has heard about Dr. D but doesn’t put too much thought into the hype. She’s not sure it’s all that it’s cracked up to be. When Desmond shows interest in her, she’s surprised to say the least. Not so surprisingly, once she gives in, Desmond disappears. To say Emily is disappointed is an understatement but she knew what she was getting into. Will that be the end for them?

I enjoyed this book! It was a good read and I really liked Emily’s character. She’s strong and independent and that always makes for a great character. I’m glad I picked this one up!

The Worry KnotThe Worry Knot by Mary Evanson Bleckwehl
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book I’ve read by this author but I was pleasantly surprised. This would be a good book for middle school kids. This was a good read!

Rourke has many worries just like the rest of us. He feels like he has so much to worry about including making sure his older brother isn’t being bullied but also regular worries like whether he will make any friends. I think as adults with our own worries, we forget how stressful it can be as a kid. This would be a good read for kids too so they can see that they aren’t alone and they aren’t the only ones who struggle. I think this would be a good book for any kid to relate to.

Power Play (Astoria Bay Thunder #1)Power Play by C.J. Cartwright
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is book one of the series. I absolutely loved this second chance romance!

Brynn and Levi have a past. Because of Brynn’s meddling mother, they went their separate ways. Now post divorce, Brynn’s life is a lot different than she thought it would be. After setting her dreams aside for far too long Brynn decides it’s time she do something for herself. On a whim, she wins tickets to a hockey game, never imagining coming face to face with Levi. Will Brynn and Levi be able to use this second chance to their advantage or is the past too much to bare?

I really enjoyed these characters. Brynn is resilient and I really enjoyed that about her. Her whole life changes and she just rolls with it as tough as it is. I really enjoyed her and Levi together as well. Can’t wait to read more of this series.

Wildcat: A Steamy Firefighter Romance by Carina Alyce – Review by Angelina Frazzini

Wildcat (MetroGen After Hours, #1)Wildcat by Carina Alyce
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book one of the series. I couldn’t put this book down!

Leslie is bold and unapologetic. She gave ballet up for firefighting and definitely feels she should be able to act like one of the guys as she sees fit. That doesn’t mean she doesn’t have to work hard for every bit of respect. After a one-night stand with Trevor, the last thing she wants or needs is a distraction. Trevor doesn’t want only one night with Leslie. He’s got a lot to focus on with football but he’s determined to get another chance with Leslie. Can they work it out between them or will they be too reluctant to distraction?

I enjoyed these characters. Leslie is tough and is such a great character. I wish I could be more like her!

Imperfectly Yours (Titans of Manhattan #2)Imperfectly Yours by Anise Storm
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is book two of the series and can be read as a standalone but the books are so good you’d only be missing out.

Elsa and Anton seemingly have it all but yet can’t wait to fill the missing piece in their lives. More than anything, Elsa has wanted to get married and have kids. What they expected to be easier ends up being difficult and a little tragic. Will their marriage sustain this blow or will everything be destroyed.

The author did a great job with these characters. Outside of their elite status, they were relatable as was their marriage. They had real struggles that many couples face and overall they were very well written. This story was emotional but you can’t help but get sucked in.

Unlikely to Stay (A Parker Lake Novel Book 3)Unlikely to Stay by Ashlie Knapp
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book three of the series and can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend reading the whole series because each book is fantastic!

Colleen is Parker’s only hairstylist. She’s not had much stability in her life and lacks confidence so she really tries to steer clear of many people. Brant has never had any ties accept for his adoptive mother. If he can stay in Parker for three years, his school loans are free and clear. He’s sure he will walk away after three years no problem. Best laid plans and all that. Brant and CC meet after an auction date is purchased for CC. Both of them have baggage that weighs them down. Will these two work passed the demons of their past or will it all be too much?

I really enjoyed this book, much like the others in the series. I couldn’t put it down! CC struggles with confidence but works to help everyone else feel great about themselves. She’s so selfless. I really enjoyed both CC and Brant as characters. I highly recommend!

If romantic suspense is your thing, you’ll definitely want to give this book a chance. I was on the edge of my seat and couldn’t wait to finish this one.

Lexi’s career is on the line and a lot of things factor in to that but she is determined to bring justice to Arthur. Xavier is brought on to determine if Lexi is capable of doing her job and doing it well but Lexi is not privy to that information. Xavier doing his job could very well compromise the case Lexi is working on to serve justice to a child murderer. I don’t want to say too much so as not to give anything away as the suspense is part of the experience. This was such a good read. I definitely recommend!

This book is the first book of the series. It is a historical romance.

Historical romance is not my go to trope but I’m glad I grabbed this one. I’m not sure what I expected but I’m sure it wasn’t enough. This was an enjoyable read. Mail order brides and train engineers were new for me but boy did it work!

These characters were great! Cora is on her own but she doesn’t back down. She’s so strong. Jace is a hard working family man. He’s loyal but he couldn’t help but falling for his brother’s intended bride. He tried fighting his attraction to Cora for the sake of his brother.

I’m not going to say too much so I don’t give anything away but Kirsa and Brock were best friends until something gets in the way. Brock, as a way to deal with the apparent betrayal, sets out to make Kirsa miserable.

The characters were great. I’m glad Kirsa had Rylan after spending so long not having anyone. I’m glad Brock came to his senses but he was pretty awful for a long time. Kirsa is so strong. She shouldn’t have had to be but she is a force to be reckoned with. I devoured this book!!

Embracing Jared (Thrill of the Chase, #3)Embracing Jared by Anna Paige
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is book three of the series and can be read as a standalone. If you want a better understanding of the other characters and their bond, you should read the first two books. I didn’t and wish I would have.

Jared has expectations for his father’s care and when he feels that Madison isn’t meeting those he decides to confront her in person. He doesn’t expect to find his father being well taken care of and even talking! That really is the start of his intrigue with Madison. Madison is so caring and passionate. Jared isn’t perfect and I love that he isn’t portrayed as some rock god.

I really enjoyed these characters. Madison is sweet but she’ll put you in your place quicker than you would think. Jared has his demons and struggles but at the core of him he cares so much about his family. This was such a great book to read!
