Fools Rush In (Interstellar Rescue, #3)Fools Rush In by Donna S. Frelick
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Fools Rush In by Donna S. Frelick is the third book in the Interstellar Rescue Series. Each of these books can be read as standalones, although there are characters that appear in all the books. All the books in this series are exciting and fun to read.
One thing that I have come to expect from reading this series is that the author knows how to write great characters. The exact is the same for this book. I loved the main characters and how instant their connection was. It really added to the overall story and how gripping it was.
The whole book kept a great pace and was brilliant to read. I am excited to see what else there will be to come.

The Flood
By: Meghan O’Flynn
5 out of 5 stars

The story The Flood by Meghan O’Flynn is a psychological thriller. It is a book that pulled me in from the beginning and I found myself lost in the storyline. This is a story that had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. It is like being on a rollercoaster ride that doesn’t end until the last page. I enjoyed reading about the many characters that are introduced in the book. Some of them I grew to care about what happened to them, others seemed to have their own agenda and plans. This is a story that asks the question “How far would you go to survive?” The characters in this story face a shortage of food and water. Then there is the feeling that everything that is happening is not as it seems to be. Are they part of some sick game? What does the future hold for them? Read this book to find out. This story has times of conflict and also emotional moments. The world that these characters find themselves in seems to spiral out of control and turn upside down. Don’t miss out on a thrilling story that you won’t want to put down until the final page. I highly recommend reading it.

Regency Love: Reflections of a Young Lady by TL Clark – Review by Angela Hayes

Regency Love: Reflections of a Young LadyRegency Love: Reflections of a Young Lady by T.L. Clark
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Regency Love: Reflections of a Young Lady by T.L Clark is something a little different from what I have read from her before, and I have read most of her books now. This is a regency/historical romance, which paints a vivid and accurate portrait of life in the Ton- and the expectations, responsibilities, and duty that were placed on a proper young lady’s shoulders. We see how women were treated, what society and families expected- and how everything could ‘come off the rails’ with the wrong word, a look, or a scandal. London of the day came to life- painted in rich detail with the author’s clever word-smithing.
Ms. Clark writes beautifully, and in this story she does so in a style and language that is within keeping of the times. The ‘proper’, ‘formal’ prose has a bit of a poetic style to it- which gave the book a little more ‘personality’ than I had initially expected.
Lady Anne is the daughter of a Duke and is about to make her Debut into society. She’s graceful and beautiful- and not too thrilled about having to do her ‘duty’. She dreams of finding true love and real affection- not entering into a “match’ of status and wealth. We follow along as her story unfolds….

Thank you, Ms. Clark!

Regency Love: Reflections of a Young Lady
By: TL Clark
5 out of 5 stars

The story Regency Love: Reflections of a Young Lady by TL Clark is a historical romance book. It is a story that pulls you in from the beginning and doesn’t let you go until you have read the final page. It is a book that takes you back to a time when there are grand balls, courtships, young ladies have their “coming out season”, and all the rules that go along with it. It is a time when society dictates what is acceptable and in order to avoid scandal one must conform. I loved reading about the character of Lady Anne. It is her first “season” and a marriage match is the goal. Anne is strong, intelligent, and tends to say what she really thinks. Who will catch Anne’s eye and win her over? What does the future hold for Lady Anne? Read this book to find out. This story has heartbreaking as well as heartwarming moments. My emotions went up and down with each chapter that I read. I grew to care about Lady Anne and wanted her to find happiness. This book will draw you in and I found myself getting lost reading about all the different characters and their interactions with Lady Anne. Most characters are either family, friends, or helpful to Lady Anne. There however are those that have their own selfish agenda. Don’t miss out on a book that will transport you to another period of time and have you glued to the pages. I highly recommend reading this story.

The Flood by Meghan O’Flynn – Review by Angela Hayes

The FloodThe Flood by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Flood is the latest release by Meghan O’Flynn- and what a mind-twisting and intense read this has been. Ms. Flynn’s books always leave me looking over my shoulder with their sinister and creepy tones- and this one was certainly all that and more. I don’t know quite how to categorize it, as it has a little bit of everything from psychological thriller, to suspense, and mystery with dark, twisted, gruesome, and nightmarish developments and situations that had me scrambling to stay on top of everything that was happening. There were so many scenarios running through my mind while I was reading, and I was trying to piece everything together and figure out what exactly was happening. But there was more going on than meets the eye, that’s for sure- and things become clearer little by little, as the story unfolds. I was left guessing, and I was never quite sure where Ms. O’Flynn was ‘taking’ me. As expected, Ms. O’Flynn has spun a brilliant web of intrigue and it’s certainly one story I won’t forget any time soon.
I did have a little trouble connecting with Victoria especially at the beginning, but as the story progressed and details were revealed, she grew on me more.
Another well-spun tale that made all the hairs on the back of my neck stand to attention, and will definitely have me looking over my shoulder for a while to come.

Thank you, Ms. Flynn!!!

The story Not So Wrong (Love Grows Book 2) by Renee Regent is a contemporary/new adult romance book. It is a story that will pull you in from the beginning and won’t let you go until you have finished the final page. It is a story that is entertaining, romantic, and have you glued to the pages. My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Deadliest Sin Series by Gwyn McNamee is a series to get if you love romantic suspense books. Ms. McNamee does a wonderful job with her descriptive writing. She is able to paint a picture you can see in your mind’s eye. Surviving Wrath is the last book in the series. Ms. McNamee held my interest from the first page of book one, Wrath to the last page in Surviving Wrath. Her characters are fully developed and personable. There is a roller coaster ride of emotions and with some twists and turns in the plot. There are sometimes when I am engrossed in a book that I start taking to my kindle. One lesson I learned from this series is that Wrath will find you wherever you are because it is one of the deadliest sins.

I just can’t decide which of these books is my favorite. Trouble in Mind, Unchained Memory, now this one! I think I know but then I don’t. This book was such a good book. Suspense from start to finish. Rayna and Sam are such focused and strong characters it’s almost impossible to see this ever working out. The perfect blend of Rayna and Sam’s story with the reappearance of characters we’ve already been introduced to makes this story hard to put down. You won’t be sorry you read this one.

Regency Love: Reflections of a Young Lady by TL Clark – Review by Karyn Taylor

Regency Love: Reflections of a Young LadyRegency Love: Reflections of a Young Lady by T.L. Clark
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Regency Love: Reflections of a Young Lady is a very enjoyable historical romance from T.L. Clark. This is a genre that I do not usually read but I really liked the blurb and it came highly recommended. I have to say that I really, really enjoyed this book.
Set in Regency London we are told the story of 17 year old Lady Anne Frithringham. It is her ‘come out’ season in London where she has to attend many balls and events in the hope of finding a suitable husband. As the daughter of a Duke, there are many constraints on who would be considered suitable.
I warmed to Lady Anne as a character straight away, enjoying the many thoughts going through her head. I loved reading her exploits as she meets the many men who vie for her attention. A very mixed bunch indeed, from young and handsome to older and arrogant.
I also loved as the story progressed once Anne was married, It was interesting to see how she coped as a wife. It must be said that one of my favourite scenes takes place on her wedding night. I won’t give anything away but I found it hilarious. I also do not want to mention who became her husband as that would spoil much of the story.
I would definitely recommend this book to others, even if this is not a genre you normally read.

Tails Always WinsTails Always Wins by C.A. King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Tails Always Wins by C.A. King is the first in the Chasing Tails series. I was excited to see a new series from this author and I was not disappointed. Brodie has always hidden his second nature from society. What started as a simple ban on several breeds of dogs has grown to causing some to become extinct. The ban has even progressed to infringe on the rights and lives of shifters. Does Brodie join the fight or keep himself hidden?
This is a great story which draws parallels to events which are taking place in society. I really enjoyed the story and the struggle which Brodie goes through. Tails is a great character also and I want to get to know her better. I am glad to have found this new and interesting series and look forward to the next book to come.

September Breeze (Cinnamon Bay Romance Book 2) by Nikki Lynn Barrett – Review by Karyn Taylor

September Breeze (Cinnamon Bay, #2)September Breeze by Nikki Lynn Barrett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

September Breeze is the 2nd book in the Cinnamon Bay Series by Nikki Lynn Barrett. Each book in the series can be read as a stand-alone as each contains a complete story. I had not read any work by this author before but I was intrigued by the blurb and thought that this book would be just my type. Thankfully, I was right as I loved this book.
The one thing I loved so much about this book was the characters. Not only the main characters Brian and Tess (who are both awesome) but Brian’s 2 daughters Tatum and Alice both totally stole my heart. Added to these are the aptly named ‘trio of trouble’. You will love the bowling alley scene (not giving anything away but this scene is hilarious). I loved that the characters were down to earth, ‘normal’ people with everyday lives, making the story much more realistic.
This story grabbed me from the very beginning and didn’t let me go. It took me on an amazing roller coaster journey. There are moments which will make you cry, laugh, scream and go through every emotion possible. It is a beautiful romance novel that I would thoroughly recommend to others. Having read this book I’m eager to read more of Nikki Lynn Barrett’s work.

Regency Love: Reflections of a Young LadyRegency Love: Reflections of a Young Lady by T.L. Clark
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Regency Love: Reflections of a Young Lady by T. L. Clark is a great story for those who are fans of historical fiction, Jane Austen, or the Regency era in general. Lady Anne Frithringham, daughter of the Duke of Hesford is of the marrying age and is scared about her prospects. She is heading into this search without all the notions of romance but of the importance of finding a suitable husband. I love this period because as far as women have come there are still some common factors between the periods. Parents want a good match for their daughters, men are not always the most uprights, and fortunes can be won or lost overnight. This story is well written and was a quick read for me. I like that Lady Anne is reasonable and not a flighty female. She has her head on straight but must navigate her role as daughter and wife in the eyes of society. I am going to keep this author on my watch list for further books in the future.

Regency Love: Reflections of a Young Lady by TL Clark. This is the story of Regency London and Lady Anne Frithringham daughter of the Duke of Hesford. She is about to enter society, beautiful and elegant, taught all the proper things but scared to death. She is ready to get married and be loved but also scared of what it entails. Lord Felsenworth is trying to prove himself worthy despite his lower rank of Earl. Lady Anne is struggling between her head and her heart as she picks a partner. When she finally thinks she has one picked out she realizes he’s not all he says he is leaving her more confused than ever. She learns not all relationships especially marriages are not always created equal. This story is such an enjoyable description of courtship and marriage in the era of Regency London thru Lady Anne’s eyes. You realize some things haven’t changed at all today and some things are radically different. Such a good book!

Truck Stopped by Manda Mellett a five-star read that will make your engine roar. This is number eleven in the Satan Devils MC series and it’s my favourite of the series so far. Truck and Allie have an emotional story to tell, and Manda Mellett does a great job showing us those emotions and getting them onto the page so well, you can feel them in your heart as you read the words. It’s a beautiful journey they take us on, but not beautiful in the traditional sense, beautiful in the way that the words are created and beautiful for the fight the show, Beauty in the tears you will shed while reading and beauty in the smiles that will grace your face as you read.

Lorelei, Aiden, and the group they now call their family are happy in Sanctuary. That is, until they learn of a potential plan that may have tragic results to all shifters. They meet some opposition from the other residents, but they know they cannot just stand by and let it happen. So they travel back into the city where they will have to face some of their worst fears and enemies. Will they be able to succeed or is it doomed to fail?

I have greatly enjoyed this series and this book just added to my pleasure. The book weaves a wonderful tale of love, hate, action, and the extremes some people will go to. It also does a wonderful job of tying all the books together, bringing back characters we have met in previous books, as well as introducing some new ones too. I was completely engrossed in this book and could not put it down until I was done.

If you are a fan of shifters, romance and action, this book is for you.

Once again C.A. King does NOT disappoint! I couldn’t put it down, especially near the end.
In this story, the world is a dangerous place. This is especially true if you are born different or with abilities that normal humans do not trust or understand.
When Tails meets Brodie, their adventure is not all what they first thought it to be. Alliances are made; trust is shattered. Everything that Tails has been working for has been a lie. After explaining the situation to Brodie and convincing him that her quest is impossible without him, the two embark on a journey that could lead them to death, freedom, or maybe even love.

This book is a wonderful portrayal of love in the Regency period. Thoroughly researched, the author takes strides to make this story as authentic as possible and she does not disappoint! The book reads just like a Jane Austen novel. The historical introduction is insightful and sets the mood of the story. Anne is a character the reader cannot help but fall in love with. Her longing for love and companionship conflicts with her sense of duty. I’m a sucker for Regency romances and this one is a must read for romance fans!

This is the first book in a paranormal romance series about shifters who are fighting for equality. Shifters are shunned and stripped of their rights because the humans believe they are too dangerous. The chemistry between Brodie and Tails leaves the reader cheering for the 2 of them to the very end. I feel drawn to Tails not just by her unique abilities but also her courage in the face of danger. The author keeps us waiting in suspense for the second book by adding a bonus chapter at the end. Did I mention how beautiful the cover is?

The Flood by Meghan O’Flynn – Review by Shannon Fowler

The FloodThe Flood by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This story is crazy good. With a big emphasis on CRAZY. The prologue of this story leaves you squirming, a little uneasy and completely under O’Flynn’s control. The story continues like the eye of a hurricane. The calm is there but you know something big is about to happen.

I didn’t like Victoria at the beginning. She acted as if she had little feelings, almost as if she was better than everyone else, certainly didn’t like her husband anymore. Through the course of this story, though, feelings are brought out and explained. Victoria has her reasons as do the others stuck in the bunker.

O’Flynn’s stories leave you a little leery of the world around you. What sinister things could be waiting to happen, either in real life or in O’Flynn’s mind?! I recommend this book for a little escape from the romance of life.

Tails Always Wins is the first book in the Chasing Tails Series by C.A. King. This was the first time that I had read any of this author’s work but, having heard good things about the author, I decided to give this book a chance. I’m glad I made the decision. It is a fast paced paranormal thriller that had me gripped from the very beginning, right through to the very end.
In this book shifters and humans are at odds with each other. There are people who are experimenting on shifters to see what other powers they may have. Brodie and Tails are determined to do something to stop this.
This results in a great story that I really enjoyed. There was a great deal of suspense which had me totally gripped, wondering what would happen next. The story is fast paced and full of action which keeps the reader engrossed in the story.
I loved the characters of Brodie and Tails. Brodie just wants a quiet life and not to be dragged into a battle whereas Tails is so vibrant and full of life and can’t wait to get into battle.
I loved that the author ended this book with The End…or is it. This gives me great hope that there is more to come from Brodie and Tails.

Regency Love: Reflections of a Young LadyRegency Love: Reflections of a Young Lady by T.L. Clark
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Regency Love: Reflections of a Young Lady by T.L. Clark is a period romance story set in an era where young women come out to the Ton of England and are paraded around to find the best husband that is deemed worthy by their fathers. Where reputations and gossip are rife and women have no say. It is a story where you hope like hope you don’t get a husband who is too old, or to violent towards you. It is a tale of those who can only hope to be fortunate enough to actually find love and be treated like a lady. I am not a lover of period pieces, as I get to caught up in the ways women are treated but T.L did a good job and I found myself drawn to the story and the main character and how her life became. We take a journey back in time where vulnerability is not to be discussed and snobbery and licentious behavior are a given.

Lady Anne is of age to come out to society and find a suitable husband. She is young, naive and beautiful and finds the road to finding the one is filled with troubles, lies and deceit and heartache. Will she be made to marry someone who cares not for her well being and only in duty or will she indeed be lucky enough to find true love?

If you like period pieces then Regency Love is certainly one to grab.

This is a story of werecat shifters. Tawny is a werecat but has no clue. Her father disappeared and now there are a bunch of people looking for him. Werewolves and werecats are the two main shifters here. I like the idea of this story but it seems unsettled. There is just something about this that doesn’t seem to flow. The conversations or the actions of the characters. I felt the “mate” situation need more time to grow. There were harsh words/actions between the two MC’s. Then the next page all is lovey dovey.

This isn’t my first book by this author. Normally I enjoy stepping into her world and seeing what she creates. I love reading shifter stories but this was just fell flat for me.

I loved this story! It is one of my favourite genres and this author absolutely did it justice! I lost myself in the story so easily and was transported to 1800’s Regency London! The authors writing really was excellent, I was fully invested in the story from beginning to end. I could tell that she had really taken the time to make sure what she was writing was in keeping with the time period and she did it perfectly in my opinion. I have read a lot of stories that take place in this time period and I think this is probably one of my favourites!
I loved the character Lady Anne! I thought she was great! I loved the way in which the author chose to write the story – for me it gave me a real insight into Lady Anne’s life and her story – I felt really involved in what I was reading!
Regency Love: Reflections of a Young Lady was a beautifully written story – one that I loved reading and would absolutely recommend to others 100%!!
