The Cool Thing: A Dark Comedy. Or Not. by Robert Rife. This is my first read by this author but it for sure won’t be my last. It’s a crazy read but so fun. It starts out with a crazy couple who will do anything and I mean anything for cash. When they find an abandoned UFO they begin to sell it part by part. When they get caught they realize they are in more trouble than they bargained for. There is also a crazy Dr who has a lab full of messed up specimen. Unfortunately they don’t all disappear some never die! This crazy read will take you on a sci fi, alien fueled, monster bash. You will be turning pages late in the night trying to figure out what all these crazy people are doing. I’ve not read a book like this ever but I’m ready for the next one. Do yourself a favor and pick up this dark comedy with aliens, monsters and people that could pose as monsters!

What a great book, it was the dark, late night, steamy read I was looking for and definitely has me floored to read more!
Lindsay Murray did a great job bringing these characters to life with not only interesting back story’s and supporting characters but also with how in depth and raw she got with them. I felt myself relating to both Alice and Reuben at multiple times through out this book. Alice is.. wild to say at the least, a real BRAT but rightfully so after she’s been abused by so many, why should she believe that it’ll ever be anything different. Rueben on the other hand is a perfect example of a tortured soul, wanting what he believes he cannot have, things that won’t fit perfectly into the little box that he’s carefully created to store his world in.
There’s so much depth to the story and the trauma an healing that takes place, I laughed and cried more than a few times. I Found myself angry at times and also trying to read faster to see how things pan out at the end. I Couldn’t put this book down that’s for sure, also, did I mention how STEAMY it is.
This book is not for the faint of heart(if you know what I mean) it definitely touches on some rough (to some) topics, and the spice is for the seasoned reader looking for something to kick things up a notch, and the characters? Made for you to fall madly in love with. Can’t wait to devour more from this wonderful author!

While this is the first book I have read from this authors Omegaverse world, it won’t be the last. This is definitely not the authors first book for this world, but it cam definitely be read as a standalone. The character development was fantastic. The dynamic between the two main characters was almost perfect, and the plot was just complex enough to keep me on the edge of my seat. So if your looking for a great new wolf story make sure you pick this one up today.

This is the first book I’ve read by the author. Stitch by Stitch was a great read. The characters are relatable and you’ll have a hard time putting it down.
Elizabeth is a newly divorced mom of two. She’s got an insane amount of debt piled up. She needs to find a way to get by. So she signs up for what she thinks is an easy deal. This is another fantastic read by the author. This is the first book in a new series. Ritual Obsession is a fantastic read and I can’t wait for more. This is the first book in the Blood Obsession Series.
Bobbi is new to the team and has to make an impression on her partner. She impresses her so now she should be good. Right? Well not really. Now there’s someone out there killing girls that look like her. The quote I chose for Bobbi is: “I also bet there are a lot of things I have to learn. I’m looking forward to new experiences.”
Max is a police vet and has been with the station for 15 years. He notices Bobbi on her first day and can’t seem to get her off his mind. The problem is there is now someone killing girls. What makes matters worse is she doesn’t listen to him. The quote I chose for Max is: “Bobbi, I’m sorry. Look, about three years ago, I ended a serious relationship. We were engaged. Carole was very special to me. Friday night when I got home from the bar with Dave, there was a message from her on my machine. She’s back in town. This is the first book I’ve read by the author. Blood Sector is a fantastic read. It had me hooked from the beginning. I had a hard time putting it down. This is the first book in the V-Clan Series, but can be read as a standalone.
Kieran is Alpha Prince and is shocked when Omega Princess Quinn shows up on his territory. After playing her game of hide and seek he’s ready to claim his mate. Only problem is that something isn’t right with her. The quote I chose for Kieran is :“Hello, Quinnlynn. This game of hide-and-seek is growing tiresome, don’t you think?”
Quinnlynn or Quinn is the Omega Princess of Blood Sector and in order to keep herself safe she makes a deal. Only she doesn’t plan on sticking around to fulfil her side of the deal. The quote I chose for Quinn is: “Didn’t you just say it was a mistake to expedite my healing? Won’t shifting do exactly that?”
Highly recommended for Paranormal Werewolf lovers.

**This book comes with a trigger warning for violence against women, sexual encounters, and murder** Ritual Obsession is the first book in the Obsession series and centers around a rookie detective (Roberta, or Bobbi) who is placed into a prominent case. There is a serial killer on the loose, targeting beautiful hazel eyed, brunette women. He is leaving behind no clues at all, and is stumping the detectives at every turn of the coin. Bobbi, who looks exactly like his targets, decides to go undercover to try to lure out the killer, against others’ advice. I really liked that this book has a female detective as the main character, as opposed to the broody males in most other books. Romance thrillers are not typically what I pick up but this one seems very well balanced and not TOO much smut, or focusing only on that. There was also quite a bit of “filler” material, I think, or things that felt like it wasn’t necessary and just kind of rattled on. This wasn’t frequent enough to have me give up on it, and I am glad I pushed through. I also love stories that have multiple POV so you can get the “whole story” and not one character’s take on a situation. I wasn’t thrilled that the book ends on a cliffhanger (no spoilers!) but it has enticed me enough that I will be picking up the second book to get the rest of the answers!

Beautifully written, the characters were wonderful, and the connection between Anna and Philip is precious. The only thing that I would have to say is I did find the story itself to be a bit long-winded, but that is likely because I have been reading shorter novels as of late. The storytelling that this author weaves together within these pages is something fairy tales are made of, and I really would be very happy to be able to read it anew over and over.
I very much look forward to reading the remainder of the Fair series, as I hadn’t fully noticed that it was one of many in a series, and am very glad to have discovered this after finishing this novel. I absolutely adore Anna’s character, as I do believe it’s quite important to be who you are regardless of what anyone else thinks. Our dear Philip is quite the character, so much depth despite his inability to shine for the majority of his life, thank goodness these two grew together. Overall, certainly worth a read, and I’ll be looking more into this authors written works in the near future!

Ritual obsession is a romantic suspense but from the book description I was expecting more of a ‘scary’ ‘cultish’ type story and it only barely scratched the surface of that with the crime they were trying to solve. If you are in any way, shape, or form sensitiveto rape, abuse against woman, etc., I would absolutely heed the content warnings here. Rose wasn’t my favorite character but I see why she is the way she is in the field she was in ms I think having Bobbi as a partner ended up being good for her. I was really rooting for Max. Overall, I enjoyed the book although the first couple chapters were slow it did start to pick up and hold my attention through to the end.

I have always been intrigued by the ABO verse, so when I saw this book, I had to read it. Add the fact I love several books Lexi already wrote. This book kept me entertained. The struggle between Quinn and Kieran was just what my angsty heart needed. The chemistry between the two was straight fire. It is worth a read.

Let me start by saying that I have made it my mission to devour anything written by this author. Her ability to make something a little more dark so intriguing is astounding and I just cannot get enough. It has the magic that is needed to bring all my senses to attention and I am not ashamed to same I may be a little addicted to her writing style. If this doesn’t entice you, I don’t know what will.
This specific novel introduces us to the V-Clan world, and to Quinn (my favorite name,) and Kieran. Quinn wants nothing but to make the world, her world, a better place, and has to make some questionable choices to do so. Kieran wants what is promised to him, and in turn, wants to help her in all that she strives to accomplish. More than that, he wants to make her his, in every way possible. Yes, you will get the tingles from the intimate scenes within these pages. Immaculate character development, world building, and all around just a wonderful read. Highly recommend!

This author is firmly up there with some of the best I have read. Each and everyone one of her books I fantastic and I don’t bother to read the description before picking it up. This book is easily one of the best of them all too! I loved it from the moment I started reading and I could not put it down. I made the mistake of starting it thinking I would just read a couple of chapters and ended up losing a few hours, finishing the whole book in one sitting. I love how descriptive her writing style is. I can imagine everything so vividly. I loved the characters in this book. They were very much their own and yet worked so well together. The storyline was exciting and fast paced. I honestly loved everything about this book. I am already excited about whatever work comes next from this author.

I honestly think this series just keeps on getting better and better. It wasn’t a series I was sure I would like but I can definitely say it is one I am thoroughly enjoying. Each book is exciting and well written, with this one being just the same. I was pulled back into the authors way of writing and the characters being put before us on the page. I really become fully captivated by the story the author is telling. It is so easy to imagine and I feel like I am there. With each new book I cannot wait to start reading to see what else is to come. This is a fantastic book and a brilliant series. I would highly recommend it.

Emma is back and with her trusty team of investigators and they are as busy as always, we start with her and Jeremy chasing bank robbers across the country on the railroad, however, when the train crashes, the pair are caught up in the casualties. As they try to extricate themselves from the wreckage, they are working out where they are and how help can be arranged, so Emma goes off to find someone and when help arrives, the local town help to catch the robbers.
When they eventually arrive home, the whole family are there to greet them, but they cannot rest for long as Emma is on the hunt for another case, she consults the local newspapers and finds something that doesn’t ring true, it is about the possible murder of a woman and the disappearance of the husband at around the same time, but it is more all encompassing than she thought and has to bring Jeremy in again to help her on her other case. The other case centres around the industrial district of Chicago and the possible sabotage of one of the factories there and the more that Jeremy sees, the more he is appalled by the reactions of those around him.
As the research is ongoing and the investigations continue, Emma and Jeremy lean on each other as they are affected by their cases, they both realise just how perceptions can change the viewpoints of those around them, but will they be able to stay safe and solve the cases? This is another exciting mystery where nothing is as it seems and every corner turned brings something unexpected, as you follow along with these intrepid investigators.

Roberta “Bobbi” Wallace is a socialite and has been for her entire life, that is until she discovered that money doesn’t solve all problems and because of this and a dare that she wouldn’t get through basic training, she decided to become a police officer and has been slowly gaining experience and rising through the ranks over the last couple of years. Max Buckley is a detective in the NYPD and is working in a team of officers who have worked together for a while and have a companionship which involves banter, gentle mickey taking and sometimes annoying each other just for the fun of it, but that changes when the newest member of the team walks in for their first day.
The moment Bobbi walks into the NYPD office she is about to become a part of, the first person she comes across is a male detective who tries it on as soon as he claps eyes on her, but she isn’t interested and instead rebuffs him and goes to meet her new partner. Meanwhile, Max is determined to make a good impression and so plays Bobbi down to the rest of the team, that however, causes them to band together to rip into his misinformation, but this stops as soon as the Captain walks in and makes the introductions.
As Bobbi is learning the ropes and the ways of those around her, she is thrown into the deep end when a murder comes in, the victim is a hazel eyed and brown haired victim who has been brutalised, stabbed and left in a bathtub in a hotel room, thus the killer is named the “Bathtub Murderer”. She is thrown together with Max as part of the duty allocations and cannot deny that there is an attraction between them, despite trying hard to deny it, but Max has no such qualms and keeps plugging away and wooing Bobbi in order to convince her to let down her walls.
As the leads are getting them nowhere and the victims increase in number, it is decided that Bobbi will go undercover as she matches the description of the victims, however, Max and Bobbi are slowly becoming inseparable, but fate intervenes and others actions try and tear them apart. Will the team be able to work out the identity of the “Bathtub Murderer” before Bobbi becomes their next victim and will the relationship between her and Max survive the undercover operation? This is a thriller with a lot of adult themes and is not for the faint of heart, or weak of stomach with plenty of action and graphic scenes throughout as the you follow along and try to solve the case yourself.

Where Quinn expects him to be angry and brutal…Kieran is actually comforting and willing to do what is necessary to help Quinn heal. When he learns the real reason she left, he is understanding. However, the sector is not as forgiving and she must earn their trust while becoming their Queen. However, we learn that everything is not quite as we think it is…and there seems to be some other factors at play that make her question her reasons for being on the run for over a hundred years! This was interesting story that drew me in from the beginning. I am intrigued by the Omega/Alpha world and this book did a great job explaining different concepts. I was engrossed in the story and wanted to see how it would play out. The end sets us up for the next book and a continuation of this world.

Blood Sector is the first book I have read by Lexi C. Foss and I greatly enjoyed it. Quinn has made her betrothed, Kieran chase her for 100 years. When he finally tracks her down, he puts a plan in place to make sure he can hold on to her for good. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Kieran and Quinn. Quinn was (understandably) frustrating but Kieran was an absolute gem to her. They were great together. I really enjoyed the plot. This book is steamy and action-packed. A very fun read that pulls you in.

I enjoyed listening to this suspenseful story. I enjoyed being pulled into the story by the characters. I also enjoyed how the narrator brought to the story as well. The narrator’s change in tones for the characters has me coming back for more. This is an easy book to listen to as it is fast paced and engaging. This is a story about Cady and how life throws her some unexpected situations that change her. She is now faced with standing her ground and murder, will these two cross? The question remains will she run or stand her ground for justice. I loved Cady’s character. A great supportive, connectable person. I really enjoyed what she brought to the story. A great audiobook by a great author. I highly recommend this audio.

I enjoyed reading this dark paranormal story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her yet. I enjoyed her writing skills and her attention to details that bring her stories to life. This book is no different. This is a well written story about a tough Alpha Prince and an Omega Princess. Their story is one that you won’t soon forget. This is a story that is full of a little bit of everything. I enjoyed how the characters pulled me into the story from the start. They are strong, engaging and relatable characters. This is a fast paced, hard to put down story that you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend this book and this author.

The police find her friends in the SUV they rented, all stabbed with a screwdriver, and find no trace of the kidnapper, believing Angie murdered them and is delusional about having been abducted. Following further trauma while being held in jail, Angie goes silent and is transferred to a secure psychiatric facility. While everyone waits to see if Angie can find her voice again, police convince themselves it’s an open and shut case, and her doctor and nurse continue attempts to help Angie speak again. When the FBI sends a special agent, Brenda Reynolds, to dig deeper into the story and seek out the potential kidnapper, she enlists the help of a canine handler who may hold the key to getting Angie to speak again. This is a fast-paced, action/mystery story with some twists and turns, sensitive content regarding sexual assault and sex trafficking, and an original story line. I appreciated the fact-checking section at the end that described what’s real and what’s fiction, providing some insight to some of the information given and proving the book to be educational as well as entertaining.

Can Kieran be trusted with the secret? Will their courtship sustain and hold real value to rule their sector? I love a great shifter book, and this one was pretty good. The story line itself I thought was interesting. At the beginning there was some confusion because you were still trying to understand the dynamics, but eventually things fell into place. I won’t lie though, I really hoped that the secret she was keeping was going to be a little more dramatic. Maybe the author didn’t explain the reasoning of why the secret was so important; you know the players involved are important but I don’t think the author ever fully gave a reason why this “place” was necessary. What I think made the story enjoyable was the characters. The dynamic between Quinn and Kieran was beautiful, entangled, chaos. Quinn got on my nerves at times because she just couldn’t get out of her own way. However, Kieran was a wonderful character. You could feel his Alpha male status, but at the same time he was caring, thoughtful, and truly wanting to be a helpful partner to her. He also had an arrogance that was really intriguing, but it showed you that he is willing to bend but don’t forget that he is the Alpha male type of vibe. I think their growth as a couple really made the story. I will read book 2 when it comes out, but I am mad that I have to wait till next year to do so.

Emotional, action packed, fun with a wonderful story line and great characters! I have thoroughly enjoyed this series following Emma and her sleuthing ways. The character growth throughout the series is phenomenal and will leave you wanting more. I really hate to see the end to this series come, but understand final curtains are a necessary step for every author. I wouldn’t read these books out of order as they make a larger impact together. In one word this series was BRILLIANT!
Again we are off right from the start, picking up after book two. Emma must journey to New York after receiving peculiar petition. This time she brings along Jeremy and we watch as their relationship evolves. As this author has before, there is historical references throughout and of course the interesting recipes as well! I really have loved this series and am looking forward to the final chapters in the next installment.

This book really did its worth! I could not get enough of this book, the qualities it had, or the magic it had through out my reading. The book was amazing, and when I say amazing, I mean it blew my mind!
The story had a fascinating plan of a journey to take me on, and it certainly did its justice. I loved how the author did the writing, I really felt connected to the characters, and watching them grow into they were at the end. Honestly they made the book for me. There was so much depth to them, they were real as real can get, and the author did an amazing job bringing these characters to life. This was such a great shifter romance honestly I loved it fully with my hearts content. Can not wait to read more by this author!
This author truly has skill when bringing the characters and story to life! I had my expectations met, and passed up fluently! Highly recommend this author and this book. Definitely a must read!

This is the first book in a new series and even though the author has wrote other books about different sectors, this one can be read as a standalone. Wow what a book. I love paranormal romances anyway but this book is so much more than that. This story is a romance with a murder mystery twist which keeps the reader guessing and wondering who to trust. The main characters Kieran and Quinn are very deep characters. Both have secrets and even though Quinn won’t admit it they complement each other. Quinn is a strong Omega woman. She doesn’t want to be tied to an Alpha but when her parents are killed she is left with no choice but to place herself with a Alpha. So she turns up in Kieran’s sector and practically begs him to marry her, to combine their sector and protect her in the process. But Quinn doesn’t want to be tied down, she wants to find her parents killer so she leaves.
This leads Kieran on a hunt to find the woman he is destined to be mated with and when they find each other again both Kieran and Quinn realise they have a lot to learn.
Quinn is a very dominant character who doesn’t like submitting to Kieran and Kieran wants Quinn to submit willingly and not by force. Can this pairing work? Will Quinn come around and realise that by submitting to Kieran she won’t have to lose herself? Or will Quinn determined and stubborn character stop them from truelly being the amazing pair they are ment to be?

It grabbed my attention from the first chapter to the last page. The story had well put together characters. It was a fresh read with the female lead not being a new adult with an older man. This was my first read from this author and it made an amazing first impression. I cannot wait to dive into more of her works.
How long can a person outrun their past before it catches up with them again? For Quinnlynn the answer is 100 years. A full century since she ran away on the day meant to be her betrothal day to the alpha Kieran. With her found Kieran will stop at nothing to put a crown on her head and make her his queen. I really enjoyed Rivals, the 7th book in the Mafia Elite series. In this mafia romance, we meet Mia, a prisoner of her own home at the hands of her father and step brother, members of the New York Mafia. Mia escapes with the hopes to take down her family and runs to the only hope she can think of, Nico, part of the Chicago Five Families. They enter into a marriage agreement for protection and we get entangled in their chemistry as they takedown Mia’s family. As also, these books are great and I love all the characters of the Five Families. While I did enjoy the story of Mia and Nico, I felt the chemistry was not as strong after the previous couplings from this series but still a fantastic read.
