Standby: An Enemies to Lovers Romance (WQUZ News Book 1) by Brandy Ayers is a great read and will have you laughing and crying along with our main character. She is sexy and oh so sassy but is always looking after everyone else before herself. It is a sexy romantic story that is also tender and yet heartbreaking with a touch of suspense.

Chris has a way about him that you just love him. Mira is strong and loving and has met her match. Together they are funny and loving and their banter is top notch. But will all be lost when a fan is unable to help himself and puts his obsession in danger?
Brandy is one of my favourites and is a gifted writer. I am eagerly awaiting to see what is next in this series.

Disturbing the Peace (Blue Line, #4) by Brandy Ayers – Review by Jana Teppih

Disturbing the Peace (Blue Line, #4)Disturbing the Peace by Brandy Ayers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Disturbing the Peace by Brandy Ayers is the fourth book in her Blue Line series and what a cool instalment it is! I have read all four books and I loved how each of the books had its own story and at the same time also a story that continued from a book to book! I was very sad to come to the end of the series but I have to say that we are going out with a bang!
Disturbing the Peace is the book of Justice Reilly who bleeds blue and is definitely into the buckle bunnies and Ana Formosa who is a bad-ass b-i-t-c-h taking down criminals of Pittsburgh. They have a one night stand and then it should be over and done with … or is it now … the history has a tendency of biting one in their butt, and at times literally!
I loved how Justice and Ana had to figure out if they want to find a way forward together and who will be making compromises and will Justice be able to pull back some of his protectiveness … It is a short and steamy read that also gives us a closure on the case that we have been following through all the books of the series! You will not regret the time you will spend with our couple in blue!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Disturbing the Peace: Blue Line Book Four (Blue Line Series 4) by Brandy Ayers is a suspense romance story and unfortunately is a wrap for this series and is just as good as the other three books if not more. I mean who doesn’t love reading about hot alpha cops and the women who changed their lives. The love scenes in these books are hot, spicy and all so steamy. These books can be read as standalones but I encourage you to read in order so you can enjoy Brandy’s wonderful writing skills but also the characters that leave you in need of a cold shower.

Ana Formosa is one strong, sexy, sassy woman in charge but when she gets burned she and knows just what she needs to move forward.

Justice Reilly didn’t know who this stranger was but he knew he had to have her, just had to have her for one night but one night would never be enough. Would it?

Brandy’s stories engage and intrigue and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next. Definitely a five star read.

Piece by Piece: A Modern Retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk (Modern Erotic Fairy Tales Book 1) by Brandy Ayers – Review by Jenni Bishop

Piece by PiecePiece by Piece by Brandy Ayers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Piece by Piece: A Modern Retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk (Modern Erotic Fairy Tales Book 1) by Brandy Ayers is a contemporary romantic erotica book. I have read several of Brandy’s books and she always creates stories with solid sexy characters that keep you intrigued and not wanting put down and keeps you coming back for more.

Harper is a strong woman who is sacrificing herself to do a job she hates, for the love and needs of the one she loves more than life itself. She selflessly gave up the life she wanted when just one night changed her life forever.

Jax is on a mission to bring down those who have caused so much pain. What he didn’t realise that this case would change his life forever. Just one look and he couldn’t turn away. Just one taste and he couldn’t leave it alone. Just one night and he would keep her safe. Just one night and he would make her his.

WOW the bedroom, the hotness, the sexiness and the heat factor in this book are toe curling. With a fairy tale that has a lot of danger, a major twist and a sizzling romance what more could you ask for!

Intoxication (Blue Line, #3) by Brandy Ayers – Review by Sheri Schrader

Intoxication (Blue Line, #3)Intoxication by Brandy Ayers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Intoxication by Brandy Ayers is the third book in the Blue Line Series. This is a standalone book but in my opinion, is better enjoyed if the rest of the series is read. The story is about Police Chief Jon Gallo and Camille Artiga. Chief Gallo has dedicated his life to serving and protecting Middleburg. Now he is combating an ever-growing drug ring that has made its way into his town. Upon meeting Camille Artiga, Gallo realizes his life is going to change. She has been pulled into a life of crime and drugs and forced to give up her dream of medical school. Gallo helps her when she is left for dead. Can the two overcome all the odds against them?
I have enjoyed this series and certainly was happy to see a book about Chief Gallo. He is kind, compassionate but knows how to take care of business. He cares about his family, his officers, and the town he protects. Has he finally found his someone special? Camille is tough and innocent all at the same time. She has been used by those she has trusted and finds it hard to trust. Somehow she feels a security with Gallo that she hasn’t felt in a long time.
This has a HEA but is well worth it. I always enjoy Ayers books and this one as well. She has great characters and good story lines. The books are fun to read and are a nice break away from some of the seriousness of the world. We all need more happy endings.

Intoxication (Blue Line, #3) by Brandy Ayers – Review by Jenni Bishop

Intoxication (Blue Line, #3)Intoxication by Brandy Ayers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Chief Jon Gallo has never had a relationship, he is married to his job. He has dedicated his life to the Police force force and he would never expect a woman to understand that. His men are his family and he will stop at nothing to stop the crime moving into his community, he is about protecting what is his. He has spent his life alone but he has been content with that. That was until she walked into his station. It was only a chance sighting but it was enough for her to get into his head. He is too old for her and should not be having thoughts about her like he was but he couldn’t stop himself. She has disappeared without a trace, it has been months and no one knew where she is. The only thing he knows about her is that she is somehow involved with the drug ring that is taking over his town. If he finds her he has vowed to himself he will protect her.

Camille Artiga was in pre-med studying to be a doctor but had to leave that behind. She had lost her parents and she was supposed to be looked after, supported and cared for by family but when that family demanded she give up her studying, give up her lifelong dreams she had to take what she could get. had been preparing for a promising life as a doctor, when the person she should have been able to trust more than anyone forced her to give up her dreams for their own selfishness. Camille soon found herself thrown into a world of drugs and crime. A dark world with no compromises, a world that may very well kill her. That is until she manages to escape the horror she has had to endure and finds her way literally stumbling into the Middleburg Police Station.

Can Chief Gallo keep Camille safe? Will he take on more than he thought? Will Camille find her safe haven? Will she be able to escape the terror stalking her?

This is the third book in this series and I have enjoyed each and every one. What more could you want in a story? It is fun, sexy, and a quick read. Trust me you will enjoy this book to the very end.

Possession (Blue Line, #2) by Brandy Ayers – Review by Jenni Bishop

Possession (Blue Line, #2)Possession by Brandy Ayers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Officer Bryan Coy loves woman but very rarely more than once. Yes, he was definitely a flirt, a playboy, as long as there is willing woman, the badge bunnies at the Blue Line Bar than he is your man. Officer Coy was first assigned to traffic duty on a street where cars used to race through, to stop those speeding cars to shut the woman up. She would not stop complaining, but the reason for the complaints was definitely a good one. Even though the offenders have stopped he can not pull himself away and stop coming round. Most of the other officers give him grief but what they don’t know is that he would take this any day cause the woman in question has found a way into his heart. She just doesn’t know it yet.

Lexis Johannes was left high and dry but her ex but she is content with her life. She has spent the last 6 years dedicating herself to her son, Ashton and he is worth every sacrifice, no men, no sex, just 100 percent Ashton. But all that changed when Officer Coy started showing up on her curb. Now she feels things she has not felt for years. After flirting and asking her out is she ready to make that leap of faith? Being burnt once has left her terrified of dating and letting a man in their lives.

Will Lexis relent and take Officer Coy up on his offer? Can she let a man in her life?

This book as all the trimmings and then some, action, drama, mystery and suspense. With a hot man in uniform there is lots of hot and passionate sex scenes. The characters are sizzling. I enjoyed the first book to this serious but loved this one. Can’t wait for the next installment.

Reckless Conduct (Blue Line, #1) by Brandy Ayers – Review by Jenni Bishop

Reckless Conduct (Blue Line, #1)Reckless Conduct by Brandy Ayers
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Luke McCracken is a Cop at the Middleburg Police station and loves his job but made himself a promise he had vowed to keep. But after trying to keep himself in check from the beautiful office manager, one night, just one night he thought would be enough to get her out of his mind. How wrong was he, he had been reckless with her heart and she now hated him, but he had to let her go, he could not let her in, he had to protect her, he had to protect her from himself.

Sophie Gallo had lost a lot in her life, she had lost her mother young in life and now her father which had shattered her heart. And with the loss of her father came the loss of her dreams. Sophie had always had a crush on Luke and she wanted him bed. When that became a reality she felt alive once more one night of wild passion and the best sex of her life but that feeling was short lived when the man of the hour got cold feet and ran. Unfortunately she had to see him everyday after all they worked together and it was pure torture. Sophie has nothing but anger and a good dose of hatred for the man who left her that one night.

One terrifying night all seems hopeless, one night of uncertainty, one night when all could be lost.

I enjoyed this story it was short but intense, sweet with lots of passion. You will enjoy as well.

Possession: Blue Line Book Two by Brandy Ayers – Review by Jana Teppih

Possession: Blue Line Book TwoPossession: Blue Line Book Two by Brandy Ayers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Possession is the second book in Brandy Ayers Blue Line series. I had not read the first book when I started reading this one. (Just to say, after I finished this one, I had to go and get the first book and now I cannot wait for the third one!) I know that the writer says you can read the book as a standalone but after having read the first book afterwards, I feel I would have benefitted from having have read the first book first.
The two main characters could not be as opposite as they come – Lexis a single mother of a deaf son working three jobs and Bryan is a playboy cop who loves all women! It is a fast paced story with well-developed characters. You get what you see – all the issues get spelled out up front and then you jump on for a ride! It is not to say that the relationship happens overnight, it is just that the writer lets you know of the passing of time without making you wait for it actually to drag …
In the background there is the story of drugs and crime that does not get concluded and will carry over to the third book, at the same time it is well woven into the current story (and the first book as well).
It is a quick steamy action filled read, grab a glass a wine and couple of hours and let Bryan and Lexis to take you away!
