Magic-Scars (The Crown of Stones, #2)Magic-Scars by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I said it with the first Book and I will say it again I was completely hooked from start to finish! In fact I think this book had me even more hooked because i literally could not put it down. Again I don’t want to go into too much detail about storyline as I don’t want to give too much away but I will say we see Ian again after 2 years of being drugged, tortured and imprisoned. How quickly and completely this author gets me so fully immersed in this world is truly amazing. I could so easily imagine everything that was happening and envision it so clearly thanks to the fantastic writing of this author. I am not wasting a single minute before moving on to book 3.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a wonderful conclusion to a fantastic series. The author continues to do a great job of writing characters that feel so relatable, even in a world of magic. The author continues with a roller coaster of action and adventure. I loved how detailed and descriptive the story was, you really feel like you are there with the characters. I loved Ian and how he persevered through all of his trials and the strength he showed. This story will absolutely tug at your heart and keep you enthralled until the last page. Wonderful series for anyone who is a lover of fantasy novels.

Magic-Borne (The Crown of Stones, #3)Magic-Borne by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book has so much action and suspense and kept me turning the pages late into the night. There is so much history written in such vivid detail that it makes you think it is real and not fantasy. After three books I love the characters, Ian, Jarryd, and Malaq are the main trio and they fight and love and tease each other. Ian has to fight to stop his father, has to fight to figure out the Crown of Stones, has to fight to keep all the people around him safe. He often makes the wrong choice and bad decisions, but he overall wants to do good so you find yourself cheering for him. I love the magic in the series too, using stones to have powers. Ian is an erudite so he can do all, most people only have one magical ability. The description and thought that goes into the magical part of these books are amazing. This book is suspense, danger, steamy romance, and so much more. It was an epic ending to an epic series. As the third and final book in the series, I didn’t want it to end, so I was excited to see there are more books set in the same world!

This is the first book in this series by this truly talented author and I am telling you now I can’t wait for more. I was completely hooked from start to finish! I don’t want to go into too much detail about storyline as I don’t want to give too much away so I will just say that it is such an intricately woven and creative storyline, so packed full of action that you will not be able to resist turning page after page! I felt so fully immersed in this world. I truly could imagine everything that was happening and envision it so clearly thanks to the fantastic writing of this author. I can’t explain how or why it happened so quickly but Ian weaved his way into my heart right from the start and I know he will stay there for a very long time which is definitely not something I expected when starting a Fantasy series! If magic, adventure, intense drama and suspense are your thing then this series is for you!

Magic-Scars (The Crown of Stones, #2)Magic-Scars by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The world building in the second book was just as good as the first! The places the characters go are so well thought out and described, I feel like I was right there with the characters. The castles, the prison, the ancient cities are all vividly written. I like that this book is told in the first person so you really get to know the main character, Ian Troy, even better in this one. Ian is coming off of the drug used to keep his magic suppressed and is having a lot of flashbacks to his time before being in prison and since then, it fills in holes in the story well. I really liked Captain Krillos in this book and the banter that he has with Ian. There were many of the same characters from the first book with even more added in this one. The story line is soooo good and kept me up late into the night reading so I could see what happened next. There is action, magic, death, romance, and so much more. I can’t wait to read the next book!

This is book number three in The Crown of Stones series, and it just took the cake! This is definitely not a stand alone book, so I highly recommend reading the series from book one thru book three. The continuity of character development amongst the three books is impeccable and definitely was a strong reason why this series can keep the readers enthralled. This is an author that understand the importance of growth, both with the writing and with the the characters. The adventures, action, and adoration for this story is amazing and I truly couldn’t keep from reading this book in one sitting. I highly recommend this full series!

The continued character development really makes for a phenomenal series that continues to provide the building blocks as to why the characters are the way they are. This is another must read!

This novel spoke volumes and brought so many emotions out in this reader. Once again this author has done it! Made me want to keep reading, made me slightly depressed that this series ended and yet very happy for our characters. This trilogy is beyond brilliant, beyond the norm and beyond a work of art!

Magic-Borne (The Crown of Stones, #3)Magic-Borne by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

If you are a lover of fantasy, magic, and swords, then this series is for you.

Magic-Borne by C.L. Schneider is the 3rd and final book in the Crown of Stones series that is thrilling, fast-paced, and action-packed.

My toxic trait is having an unhealthy love and obsession for flawed characters, so my love for main character Ian Troy was next level. His transformation from anit-hero to hero was well written and great to experience. The supporting characters were just as loveable in different ways and such a joy to read.

The series, but especially this book, was well written with a developed plot full of twists and turns that end in a satisfying conclusion.

Happy Reading!

Magic-Borne (The Crown of Stones, #3)Magic-Borne by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the final book of ‘The Crown of Stones’ trilogy and boy was it a wild ride. Ian Troy did a lot of growing up during this time. He went from being a hated anti hero to a liked hero. Being a Shinree is an automatic ticket to being hated by most but does this stop Ian? No.

Ian is still in hiding while trying to find his daughter and confront his father. He is also still trying to save himself from the inevitable doing of the crown. With the help of a weirdly diverse group, Ian travels in more ways than one.

I loved the previous two books of the series and I did enjoy this one but I must admit, it was my least favorite of the three. The first two books gave me Witcher vibes while this one is too different. I found it hard to follow along during some scenes of time travel. That’s the only downside in my opinion.

The book is set almost directly after the previous and jumps right in. If you did not read the first two books, you will be lost. The trilogy is amazing. The author wrote Ian with such depth and intensity that I have no idea how he managed to endure everything he went through. I am sad to see it end. I was introduced to this author’s books a couple years ago and I am so happy to go through this journey from start to finish. You can tell the author puts their heart and soul into the writing making the characters become more real. I can’t wait to see what the next thing the author has up their sleeve is!

The Crown Of Stones series has kept me on the edge of my seat for three books straight! This final installment did not disappoint at all! This book and series is written with such passion and grace! The world and the characters just jump off the page and you cannot help but feel for their lows and root for their highs! As a lover of Lord Of The Rings and The Witcher, this series was completely satisfying from the first page of the first book (The Crown Of Stones: Magic-Price) to the last page of the last book (The Crown Of Stones: Magic- Borne). I will truly miss reading about Ian Troy, Jarryd Kane, and Malaq and their adventures. I really hope Schneider will continue this series so this epic journey doesn’t have to end! I highly highly recommend The Crown of Stones series to anyone looking to take an epic journey of their own!

I really enjoyed this book, I wasn’t sure I would as to begin with I found it rather heavy for my usual fantasy read, but once I was a few chapters in I was hooked.
The story follows Ian a Shinree (magic wielding) soldier as the lands fight over the right to control areas. Shinree are either slaves or healers, so in this Ian is an anomaly.
Both armies are killed when he releases his magic after the queen dies, and then he is a hired hand,
The Character development and world building is great and we meet many other magical and observant people as he finds his way, Malaq is another character that after a meeting becomes an integral part of the story.
Plot twists and storytelling keep you truly engaged with the author. I am away to read book 2 straight away as I need to know what happens.
If you like indepth stories this is the one for you. I now need to find a quiet place to dive into book 2
Magic-Borne (The Crown of Stones #3)Magic-Borne by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ian Troy has taken the power of the crown into himself to keep his father from using it against the realm. As he continues to figure out the cost of that decision, he is faced with a dire vision of a future he’s not sure he can change. However, to save those he loves, he will do what it takes to see peace. Or will he? Inevitably he and his friends face death and destruction in the final showdown with his father. Will the cost be too great for Ian? Or will peace finally reign?

This was the final book in this series of Ian Troy and The Crown of Stones. It was a good closing to an epic ride, but also left it open for the next series to spin off. Ian’s sacrificial love for those who are part of his inner circle, is that of deep familial love. He drew people from different backgrounds together and built a chosen family that fought and sacrificed for each other. There were times that he was surprised that others would take up for him, even though he would -without question- stand for them. I think a lot of people think the same way. We would sacrifice for the ones we love but are surprised when they choose to do the same for us.

I enjoyed this series. I was a little sad that it was the ending, but then happily surprised to find out that there is a spin off in the works!
