The Heart of Baker’s Bay
By Danielle Jacks

I fell in love with this book after a few pages. Jody has some major insecurities, mostly from her lack of keeping a job long term and her family’s view of her being a screw up. When she finds out her grandmother has fallen and hurt herself she soon realizes that she will be the one to go to Clover Bay to help out at her grandmother’s bakery. Jody is not feeling very optimistic and she’s afraid she will screw it up. Adam is the one who called and told Jody and her sister Hannah about their grandmother, he was expecting Hanmah not Jody who looks to him like a high maintenance city girl. Adam has been hurt in the past by an outsider so he chooses to stick to interacting with the locals. I really enjoyed watching both of these characters grow throughout the story. They both tell themselves not to get close to each other but both find themselves enjoying spending time together while Adam helps teach Jody a few things. Will Jody find her niche working in the bakery? What will happen between these two? This is a must read to find out. I look forward to reading more books by this author.

This book had me hooked from the beginning. This was a quick read for me, full of romance and relatable characters. Jody is living in the shadow of her twin sister. One night Jody decides to let out some steam and go for a night out and that’s where she meets Holt. It is supposed to be a one night stand but the chemistry between these two cannot be denied. Jody’s twin Jilly is a spoiled brat and I so wanted someone to teach her a lesson. I was hoping that Jody would find her way out of her sister’s shadow and away from her parents who can’t seem to see how they treat her. Holt is a pilot on leave and looking for some fun but he can’t seem to get the woman he met out of his head. This is a must read if you want to find out what’s going to happen between these two. I recommend reading this book. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

This was such a sweet romantic story. Annabelle is very much alone now that her grandmother Sophie has passed away. I loved hearing all the stories about Sophie, who everyone in their small town thought was crazy. Sophie was a fun loving eccentric big hearted woman. Annabelle was also seen as a strange kid growing up in the small town. She does have 2 great best friends and I hope to learn more about them in the books to come. Wyatt also grew up in this small town but didn’t run in the same crowd as Annabelle. He is back home after being in the military, he has some scars on the outside and inside and is trying to work through some stuff. The chemistry between these two is off the charts and I was rooting for them the entire time. These characters are very relatable and I felt like I was right there in the story with them. This was an enjoyable read and I can’t wait to read the next one in this series. I highly recommend this book.

Another great book from a great author. I have thoroughly enjoyed every book I have read by this author and this one is no different. I became so invested in Saffie’s story that I couldn’t put the book down. I wanted so much for her and her happiness after what she’s been through the last five years. Niran being the good guy that he is just wants to help her, but that’s not as easy as it would seem. This story took me on an emotional roller-coaster! It is a must read and I cannot wait to get my hands on part two!!! I don’t want to give anything away so I’m just going to say I highly recommend this book!

This is a good paranormal romance with magic, witches, danger, and wonderful characters. The action starts pretty much at the beginning and goes throughout. Cassie casts a spell in 1974 and when she wakes up she finds out it’s 2019 and all her coven is gone. She is determined to find out what happened to her and her coven. Nick wants nothing to do with magic but what happens when Cassie shows up needing help? The pull and chemistry between these two is off the charts. I couldn’t help but root for both of them. The author wrote with such detail that I felt like I was right there in the story. This book kept me entertained. I can’t wait to read the next one in this series. I recommend this book.

This was such a great sit on the edge of my seat kind of story. This book was full of action, suspense, great characters and so much more. Hunter Divine and his team are trying to keep two teenagers safe from being kidnapped after two attempts have already been made. The team is a diverse group of people with all different skill sets. I was trying to figure out who was behind all of it the entire time I was reading but I was nowhere close to figuring it out. The author did a great job keeping me entertained throughout and got me invested in the people and the story. I cannot wait to read what’s coming next. I highly recommend this book.

Another great book. This is the second book and it’s just as good as the first one. You don’t have to have read the first book in order to read this one but it is my suggestion that you do because you will have a better back story of the characters and because it’s also a great story. The author does a great job in showing us the drama, insecurities, teenage feelings and more. This book is a good read for adults as well as young adults. I had a hard time putting this book down because I wanted to know what would happen in these relationships and friendships. I enjoyed this story from start to finish. I highly recommend this book.

This book was such a great read. I couldn’t put it down once I started. The author did an excellent job portraying all the feelings and drama teenagers go through. I can definitely relate when I think back to my youth and also thinking about all things my kids have been through. Hadley is socially awkward so a lot of the things she’s experiencing with having new friends is all new for her and she isn’t sure how to navigate some of it. I was definitely rooting for her to make good choices when put in a situation that calls for her to do what’s right or not. This is a good book for all. I highly recommend this book.

This was a great read. This book grabbed my attention from the start and I didn’t put it down until I finished reading it. Vanessa is trying everything she can to help her brother Piper, who is very sick. Vanessa has a big heart, she’s intelligent, genuinely sweet and a hard worker. I found her to be relatable and I kept rooting for her and her family. The fact that there are three attractive men in this story helps a lot. They are half brothers and each have their own powers. I enjoyed the author’s take on mythology, I found this story original and intriguing. This is rich in detail and the author left us wanting more. We get to know Grey and Raef in this book but we don’t know much about Aroz, so I’m hoping to get to know him more in the next book. I can’t wait to read the next book to see where the author takes us. I recommend reading this book.

This book was an unexpected gem. I found it to be original, full of suspense, twists and turns, vampires, and so much more. This wasn’t just another vampire story, there were so many other elements going on all while there is a serial killer trying to kill lawyers and Donovan can’t figure out the connection between the lawyers that are being murdered. Donovan is a smooth talker and a bit of a ladies man until he starts seeing Judge Shirley Magnusen. I had a hard time putting this book down because I needed to know what was going to happen next. Who would be the next victim? Would they figure out who the killer is? To find these things out you need to read this book. This isn’t the first book I have read by this author and it won’t be my last. I suggest reading this story, you won’t regret it.

This was a great read that kept me captivated the entire time. This book was full of action and adventure. Poppy and some other women were abducted and were supposed to be given to Zensah and his tribe, but he didn’t know they were not willing participants. Zensah and some of his tribe help the woman escape from their abductors. Poppy and Zensah have a long trip to get back to where he lives. During this trip he teaches her how to survive and they learn a lot about each other and themselves. This is a must read if you want to find out what happens with these two. The author does a wonderful job writing a story rich in detail so I can picture it in my mind’s eye. I recommend this book and I can’t wait to see what’s in store in the next one.

Wraith sees something in Sophie that she can’t see in herself. This book is full of action, twists and turns, romance, friendship, healing and love. I could not put this book down until I read every last page, needing to know what was going to happen. This author has a way of pulling you into the story and making you feel a connection with these characters. I became invested in the characters and their story. I highly recommend this book. This is another great book to a great series. This is the third book in this series and it is my suggestion that you read them in order for a better background of the characters and because they are wonderful stories. This book had me hooked from beginning to end, I had such a hard time putting it down. Max is a vet and also a witch who can talk to animals. Claudia is a shapeshifter/werewolf who is barely alive laying in forest until she is found by Max. There is great chemistry between these two but there are more pressing matters to tend to than the pull they feel toward each other. This book is full of action, magic, witches, werewolves, and great characters. This is a must read! I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us next.

This book is full of emotion. There are alot of things going on in this story. Zoe’s boyfriend goes missing and she is having a hard time dealing with this so her family leaves for the summer. When she comes back she still feels the same until she meets Elijah. What these two have is forbidden but can they make it work anyway? This book is full of loss, tragedy, friendship, romance, family, hope and more. I laughed, cried, got angry, and all the emotions in between while reading this book. This book may not be everybody’s cup of tea but I thoroughly enjoyed the emotional roller-coaster this book put me through and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. Wow this series was such a great read. The first book gripped me from the start and as I read this book my heart broke for Lexi and her mom and brother. This family has been through some horrific stuff and the author handled these things very well. There are definitely some issues in this story that can be triggers for some people. We get to meet Lucca, the hot Italian man who wants to bring Lexi into the light. In the second book we get to watch both of these characters love grow and it is heartwarming to experience. There are also other wonderful characters in this story. Lexi and Lucca go through a lot of trials and tribulations in their relationship because there are people that don’t want them together and because both of their pasts bring its own problems emotionally for both of them. The 3rd book is Lucca’s pov and I thought it was going to be a repeat of the story but it was so much more than that. We find out some shocking things from Lucca’s past. I feel like it also gave me a better understanding of where Lucca is coming from and why he is the way he is. These books were an emotional read for me and they are full of romance, family, steamy moments, friends and more. I cannot wait to read book 4, I highly recommend this box set, you will not be able to put it down.

Zach and Emily come from different worlds but that doesn’t stop the pull they feel for each other. Their senior year comes with it’s own problems but once you add werewolves and vampires it makes for that much more. I was completely drawn into this story with the author’s attention to detail. I had a hard time putting down this book, needing to know what was going to happen next and then at the end I was left with a cliffhanger!! I need to read the next one right now!! I cannot wait to read the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book.

This story had me on the edge of my seat and also brought me to tears, happy and sad ones. All the emotions I was feeling during this read is what makes this such a great story along with wonderful characters. There are twists and turns I didn’t see coming. I enjoyed watching Rayna, Thomas, and Mason grow in their relationships with each other. You definitely don’t want to miss out on what this book has to offer. Throttle finds himself attracted to Gwen but since he only does one night stands he will not be pursuing that attraction, or at least that’s what he tells himself. These two are going on the honeymoon they never got to have. It’s their last big hoorah before the baby is born. Calvin wants to make it special for Paisley by taking her to Spicetopia (adult theme park) where they can let loose. Their loyalty and trust gets tested in this book. I really needed to focus and pay attention to keep up with what was going on. It is my suggestion that when reading this story not to have distractions. I was definitely kept guessing throughout, it was hard to tell what was lies and what was reality. There were a couple of times I was a little confused but other than that I found this to be an intriguing read with a lot going on. If you want a good thought provoking, original story with secrets, terrorism, action and more than this book a good one to pick up. I recommend this book.
