This was another great new author find. I really enjoyed this quaint little romance. The author has a refreshing style. I found that the characters were realistic. I found myself lost in this book as I would love to visit that part of Scotland featured in the book.
Ailey and Alec are such a good couple. I found myself really interested in Ailey’s character as I have known a few people with alcohol addiction. I like how the author balanced the drama in the book with the romance. It kept me glued to the book and at the edge of my seat to see what would happen next. I really liked how the book was not predictable. I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future.

Miami Days, Havana Nights by Linda Bennett Pennell 4 stars!!!!
I have to say that I was quite taken in by this book. This is the second book from this author I have read and I wasn’t disappointed. The author has quite a unique story line. The characters are very realistic. I felt as though I was right there in the book going through all the drama with them.
I really enjoyed seeing how Liz’s story has continued. I really like how the author balances the history she is researching with the present day to tell the story. I do really like to read various genres and this is just what I needed. I really would like to read more from this author in the future.
The River Fairy’s Wish ( A Lyrical Fairy Tale) by Cyrena Shows 5 Stars!!!!!
This was such a joy to read. I have to admit I had the song going on in my head as I read it and that inner reading voice was singing the book. The author has such a sweet story here. If my children were younger I would definitely read them this book. It was quite catchy when the author plants the seed about the song association. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone with small children. I am sure it would become one of their bedtime favorites.

I really love it when I find new authors. This book was a real good read. I found the author’s style to be quite refreshing. I found the characters to be very realistic and relateable. The book kept me glued to the pages.
I really like how the story isn’t predictable. The chemistry between Gwen and Joe is very electric. The way that their love story plays out is very realistic. The author has a good balance of drama and romance. I found myself routing for Gwen and Joe. I felt as though the characters just jumped right off of the page.I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future.

Truck Stopped (Satan’s Devils MC #11) by Manda Mellett 4 Stars!!!! This is just another great addition to this series. I was hooked from the beginning. I really enjoyed how the author told the story in a past tense story fashion. The characters just really jumped out of the book and into my imagination. There was just the right amount of drama with just the undertone of romance.
I really felt myself relate to Allie as I had a moderate form of the pregnancy illness she had. I totally found myself remembering that time and felt that the author really brings this to attention. I also found the authors use of PTSD really well written. There are so many things that can cause this and I found her use to be very insightful. I really found myself routing for Truck and Allie and found myself on the edge of my seat to see how things would end up. There are so many things that could have gone wrong but their relationship and characters were so strong it really made the book. I will definitely read more from this author and this series in the future. Reviewed by @caraleeloonat

The Confectioner Chronicle by Claire Luana 5 stars!!!!!
I have to say that this series is a really great read. Whether you are sat on a beach or just relaxing at home this is a perfect read. I enjoyed this series a lot even though it wasn’t my go to genre. I really like how the author was able to weave just enough drama and intrigue into the story. Each book blends right with the one before it.
Book 1 The Confectioner’s Guild (The Confectioner Chronicles book 1) by Clarie Luana
What can I say but I absolutely have fallen for this series. The author has such a unique way of bringing the characters to life and I felt as though I was actually in the story. The refreshing way that you are drawn into the book and just feel as though you are escaping into the world that the author has developed. I just couldn’t put this book down.
I really felt drawn to Wren from the very start. The drama that unfolds around her brings you to the edge of your seat with anticipation. I liked how the author was able to not only throw in drama and intrigue but also weaved in just the touch of romance to boot. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Wren, Sable and Hale. Into the mix you have the chemistry between Wren and Lucas. The whole dynamic just adds to the intrigue in the book. I really cannot wait for the next book in this series. To get to delve more into the lives of the Confectioners and their world alongside the other guilds and see where the magic leads.
Book 2 The Confectioner’s Coup (Confectioner Chronicles Book 2) by Claire Luana
I am once again no let down. This is the second book in this series and the third book including the prequel to the series that I have read. The author really has such a great way of grabbing the reader and keeping you at the edge of your seat. I really found myself getting lost in this magical confectioner’s world she has created.
Book 3 The Confectioner’s Truth (Confectioner Chronicles Book 3) by Claire Luana
I couldn’t wait to get delved into this book and boy I wasn’t disappointed. This is the third book in the series and fourth one I have read by this author. The books just keep getting better and better. I was drawn in from the first page and couldn’t put the book down.
The author does such a wonderful job of keeping the drama going from book to book. There seems to be a smooth transition from the fist straight through to the third book in this series. To get to follow more the lives of Wren and her fellow confectioners as the head into the pending war kept me glued to the edge of my seat. The way that the drama unfolds keeps your attention. I wasn’t disappointed as I continued to read as the drama unfolded in this book. I really will be reading more from this author in the future and hopefully there will be more in this series.
I have to say that the more I read about Wren’s life the more I really find I am drawn to her character. She has gone through so much in her short time in the Guild and then to have to endure more. She is a very strong leading character and the author does such a great job of developing her character around the drama that unfolds. I really felt all the emotions vicariously as Wren went through them and in this book she has a roller coaster of them. She winds up losing so much and yet she still has Lucas. I really felt my heart in my throat as the book came to the ending and once again to have the book on a cliff hanger of sorts really has me anxious for the next book in the series. I will definitely be reading more from this author and the series.
The characters just seem to jump right out of the pages and into your imagination. I felt as though I was part of the action as it all unfolded. I really found the concept of the series to be quite unique and refreshing. The story is quite well written and easy to read. I definitely recommend this sereies and this author.

Al Capone at the Blanche Hotel By Linda Bennett Pennell 4 stars!!!!
I do like to read different genres sometimes and this really was a good change. I really like how the author uses the past and history to help to enrich the story. I felt that this really added to the story and what a story. I love history and this book really fit in well with that.
The way that the characters interact is unique. I like how Liz is able to use her love of history and especially crime in history. The whole way in which her study and research begins to tie into the story is just amazing. I could feel her emotions as she was researching. I felt the sort of let down when she couldn’t really tie Al Capone in. I certainly enjoyed reading this book and I would definitely read more from this author in the future.

I really go pulled right in by Tails and Brodie. I love shifter books and these characters really grabbed me. I felt as though the characters just jumped right off of the pages and I was in the story with them. I found that the balance was just right with drama and just a little romance. I really found myself anxious to find out what would happen next. I definitely will be reading more from this author.

What an absolutely fantastic finale book. I found that the authors have such a wonderful group of characters and a refreshing plot and story. I found myself unable to put this book down. I really enjoy paranormal stories and characters. I felt as though I was there in the midst of the action.
I really found myself associating with Lorelei. She has so much to lose but so much to gain and I felt as though I was going through the emotions and drama as she was. I like how she is able to grow and move on from her past and how she is able to change the world she lives in. I really found that the authors were able to bring the plot and story to a great ending. The characters draw the readers into the drama. I really would like to read more from the authors in the future.

What an absolute fantastic ending. I was so excited to read this book and I was not disappointed. The author has done such a wonderful job of keeping the reader hooked and drawing the story to an ending. The book was just such an addicting read.
The twist that the author brings into the story was quite unexpected but so good. I like how the book was not predictable. I like how the author balances the action and drama with a slight romance undertone. The characters are also so drawing. They just jump right off of the pages and I felt as though I was in the thick of the action with them. I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future.

Legacy of Luck (Druids Brooch Series #3) by Christy Nicholas 4 Stars!!!!
This is yet another book in this series I have read and I was not disappointed. I really enjoyed yet another trip into the world of the Fae and ancient Ireland and Scotland this time. The author has quite a unique world that she has created. I was just as enthralled with this book as I have been with the others in this series I have read.
The characters are refreshing and bring the story to life. I really like how the author entwines the two worlds together of the enchanting Fae and the magic and the real world , I really enjoyed the cultural pasts that the author uses in this book of Ireland and Scotland. I like how the story wasn’t predictable. Eamonn and Katie’s characters really drew me more into the book. I like how each were each other’s second chance. I really routed for Eamonn at the beginning as Katie was really off limits to begin with. I also like how Eamonn’s family history with the brooch and the Fae gets entwined into the story. I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future.

I found the characters Amelia and Toby to be quite interesting. I found that the story line really was unique and I like how the author spun the tale. The way that the two characters come together was so creative. I also like how the author adds just the right amount of drama into the mix along with romance. I was not let down by this second book in the series. I really couldn’t put the book down. The authors have done such a great job of continuing the story line and bringing the characters to life. I felt as though I was in the midst of the action.
I found myself going through all the emotions Lorelei experienced. I can relate to the situation where she has her old love whom is now lost to her even though he is there with her and her new love. I can relate to the conflict she feels and I can appreciate the choices she needs to make to move on. I really like how the characters all seem to fit in and the drama unfolds between them. I realy find that this author has such a refreshing style. The characters really jump up off of the page and straight into my imagination. I felt as though I was Josie.
I really like how the author creates the drama around the characters. Josie and Spencer just have such a spark and the little added bonus of Gage well that was just the right amount of spice. I also like how just a bit of the past comes into play. The author really draws in the reader and I will definitely be reading more from this author as well as hopefully this series.

I have once again found a new author and another great first in a series book. I really like psy-fi and paranormal books. This was just such a great read and so refreshing. The book had me from chapter one and if I said it once I’ve said it a million times I just couldn’t put this book down.
I like how the book is in first person. I really like how I am seeing the events through the main character’s eyes. The first person narrative of this brings everything to life. I felt as if I was the character and as the events unfolded that I was experiencing them first hand. The world created by the author just came to life within my mind. I also like how things are not so straight forward and the main character falls for her guard over time. I really look forward to reading more from this author and this series as this is the first book and I am so eager to see how things pan out.

I love finding new authors and books. This was just such a great read. I found that the plot and characters were very addicting. I was glued from the first chapter and couldn’t put the book down. I must confess that this is the case most times as I love to read but I really love shifter and paranormal books.
Aiden and Lorelei have such a chemistry that it adds to the story. I like how the authors unfold the drama around them and that the story wasn’t predictable. I like how the authors use the lore around Phoenix and that along with the drama makes for a very addictive read. I will definitely be reading more of this series and these authors in the future.

I like how the author has spun a classic tale and modernized it. The author really brings a refreshing twist to the tale and just grips the reader’s attention. The characters are also realistic. The story just flows off of the pages.
I found myself really routing for Beau as I could relate to him. I also found it refreshing that he in the sense was Beauty and that the Beast was Bett. I found the author’s use of the female character for the beast to be unique and really made the story. I found myself on the edge of my seat to see how the story would end as they truly came from two different worlds and I like how they end up merging together. The author did a good job at making her characters realistic and enjoyable. I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future.

This is the third book from this author that I have read. I find that the author’s writing style is refreshing. The genre of this book is out of my comfort genre but I found it to be quite an addicting read. The suspense and mystery really kept me glued to the pages. I don’t read mysteries often but this was a nice change.
I really love Telly’s character and the part he played in the story. The way he cares for the kids is really endearing. I was really at the end of my seat as the drama and mystery played out. I found that the author had a great way of drawing out the story and the intrigue. I really enjoyed this book and would definitely be reading more from this author in the Future.

Yet again another book that hooked me and reeled me in . I really find that I enjoy this series and find the author’s writing style to be quite refreshing. I found that the characters just jump right off of the pages. There was also a well balanced world of the supernatural and everyday life. I really enjoyed how the author brought in the world of Voodoo and built the story around it.
I really found Odette to be quite the character. I liked how the author was able to build the story around her past and how all the characters fit into it. I felt that the chemistry between Odette and James really added to the drama that unfolds around them. The author has such a creative style and brings the whole world she is writing about come to life. I could feel the spirits as Odette tried to help them. I really cannot wait to read more from this author and this series.

Queen of the Warrior Bees (Natural Forces Book 1) by Jean Gill 4 Stars !!!! One of the greatest joys in a readers life is finding new authors and new series. In this book I have found both. This book was a nice breath of fresh air . I found the characters were very well presented and I felt as though I was there amongst them. The author draws you right into the book. I didn’t want to put the book down I found myself relating to Mielitta the way she felt like a freak. I found the authors style to really draw me into the book more I like how it wasn’t predictable. I found it quite well written and the author draws out the intrigue around Mielitta just enough to keep you at the edge of your seat. I like how she was actually special and that she doesn’t have to fight the citadel alone . I will definitely be reading more from this author and series in the future.

I really find that I am drawn to Dahlia’s character. The way that the book unfolds just draws you deeper and deeper into the story. I really like that it is a supernatural mystery. The mix of human and supernatural beings just adds to the story. The partnership of Dahlia and Creed really adds to the drama. Evens being a human and coping in the Supernatural world is just another added bonus. I really like how the author draws out the drama and the mystery . I will definitely be reading more from this author and I hope this series in the future.

Trickster’s Hunt (Three Tricksters Book 1) by Carrie Whitehorne 5 Stars!!!!!
Wow what can I say but having discovered another new author and a new series I am in seventh heaven. I really found myself unable to put this book down. The author has a very refreshing writing style and characters. I love reading books like this.
I really found myself drawn to Maia. The whole plot to the story just grabbed me and kept me held. The trio of Amos, Silas and Rhett are just the icing on the cake. I really love books about djinn and add in Gods and Godesses and boy do you have a great read. I love that there was also a telepathic cat just more to add to the drama and goings on in the book. I really cannot wait to read more from this author and this series. I really want to see how the whole story progresses.
After Wrath (The Deadliest Sin Series Book 2) By Gwynn McNamee 4 Stars!!!!
I must admit that I was really anticipating this book! I read the first and was on bated breath waiting to see how the story would continue to unfold. I most certainly wasn’t let down. I really find the author’s writing style to be quite refreshing.
The relationship between Brynn and Alek is unique. The whole possessiveness from Alek is bordering on psycho but you can really sense the protectiveness. The whole bad boy vibe just drips off of him and the I am the big man comes across. I also found it quite interesting how the author ties the second book to the first and was on tender hooks to see how Lorenc and Rea were and really routing for them to stay safe. I really can’t wait to read more from this author and series in the future.

I love finding new authors. This is my first book by this author I have read and I was not disappointed. I really found the author’s writing style to be refreshing. I like the whole run away bride second chance love angle to this book.
The chemistry between Flora and Dean is just out of the ballpark pardon the pun. I really found myself lost in the story as it unfolds around them. The fact that both are really each other’s second chance really adds to the story. I really liked the opportunity to get a different type of romance read. The way the author doesn’t make it predictable and I just couldn’t put the book down wanting to see how it would all turn out. I will definitely be reading more from this author.
