This is a very good book to get lost into especially after a long day. The story does flow well and it’s a very easy read. There are some engaging parts of the story that will entice you to read more of it at one time. All of the characters complement each other really well.
This book was so much fun. I didn’t expect all of the banter and comradery in this story; it was a pleasant surprise. You typically get a lot of serious and/or intense plots connected to a romance but this was a lovely and unexpected twist.
I would definitely recommend to those who love the spice but are looking for something light(er). The only thing that I would change is the profanity. It is a little extra and not necessary. However, overall a great and fun read. I can’t wait to get into the second one!

This is a book in the Demented Souls series and is the first one I have read. However I will definitely be going back and reading more as I enjoyed this book so much. This is an MC romance which is my favourite genre to read. I love how strong and fiercely protective of their women the alpha males area and the members of Demented Souls are no exception.
In this story we meet Malice and Bonnie. Malice and Bonnie meet in a diner when Malice stops her ex boyfriend from attempting to kidnap her. Knowing what men like that can be like he offers her assistance and when things take a dangerous turn Malice takes her in under his protection. Malice knows he will stop at nothing too protect Bonnie and as time progresses and their connection grows he realises he wants to protect her not just because she’s in danger but because he wants her.
Bonnie is grateful for Malice and his protection but she can’t deny that her attraction to him is growing fast into something more. How can she be contemplating a relationship with someone when her last relationship is ending so badly. When Bonnie’s ex makes another kidnap attempt will Malice find her in time to save her? And what happens when Bonnie’s ex is no longer a threat. Will Bonnie walk away from Malice and the life she has found or will she want to stay as much as Malice wants her to?
This story was amazing and I read it in one sitting. The chemistry between the couple was great and I loved how protective of Bonnie is was but how he also stepped back and allowed her to make her own decisions.
If I thought the first 2 books were something I couldn’t stop talking about to everyone they better get ready for this round because this just made it to my favourite reads list !!!!
The prologue had me hook line and sinker , before chapter one I was an emotional wreck , chapter calmed me down just a little and by chapter 3 I was a goner !!!! I was a blubbering mess and there was a pile of Kleenex looking like Mount Everest 🤣🙈
Beth really had a rough childhood and I love , respect and admire her for rising from her circumstances she’s the definition of a Phoenix 🥰she’s also brilliant in the ring !
There were moments where I had to hold my breath and check in on my heart rate not just because of my lovebirds but the dark and dangerous elements that posed a threat 🙈
The moment that’ll stay with me for quite some time though is the reconciliation between mother and daughter to say I was an emotional wreck would be sooooooo far off 🤪I was a mess !
Beth , Chamberlain, Scott , Beth , Fiona , Calista and the kids are a very special kind of people and it’s a mish mash family I’d love to be part of

Finding Hope: A Small Town Beach Romance (Half Moon Bay Series) by Erin Brockus is a great contemporary romance series
Hope Collins is stuck in a rut, yet she finds the safety she needs in her gloomy life in Chicago. Until her sudden acquisition of a scuba diving resort on the Caribbean island of St. Croix completely upends her life. She ventures into the unknown and finds difficulties. Though, for the most part, Alex has come to terms with his life on the island, he is quickly drawn to Hope’s beauty and obvious out-of-place behavior. Despite being severely damaged by his past, he has managed to move on. But not a life, just an existence.
Every page was exciting and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. The story really brings us into their world. I couldn’t put the book down.

I really enjoyed this MC romance and I am glad I’ve been introduced to this series about the members of the Demented Souls MC. Malice is a recently patched in member and is still getting to know his brothers. He was able to rescue Bonnie from her aggressive ex boyfriend when he attempted to kidnap her from the street. Bonnie was left intrigued by the intimidating but attractive man, and when her ex escalates things she turns to Malice for help. The chemistry between Bonnie and Malice sizzles off the page. The descriptive narrative brought the Ranch setting vividly to life and I felt fully immersed in the Demented Souls MC’s world. Having discovered this fab author I look forward to reading the previous books in this series whilst waiting for the latest one!

I thought this was a super cute beach romance and I especially love knowing it’s a series! Thanks to her sister, Hope ends up the unlikely owner of a dive resort- and she has zero interest of learning to dive! Until she meets the stoic, very attractive dive instructor. Erin Brockus did a great job creating a believable set of characters you want to become friends with (well, most of them, anyway. Some of those resort guests are also very realistic, in the not friendly way) and definitely made me want to learn how to dive! Engaging story, easy to read, and just the right amount of romance. Looking forward to book 2!

Jesse and Lucy are two completely different people. One from money and the other not. Lucy is a well known actress and Jesse is in a popular band. One Lucy has loved since her highschool years. Now that they have met, things are about to change, Stopping there. This author has written funny, romantic, and hot sexy time story. So much fun to read. The story is a quick read loaded with laughs and many more feels. I really loved this story and look forward to the next in the series. Way to get entertained and enjoy reading time too.

Hope Collins has had her eyes open that her life is stagnate, the signs were all there but until everything clicked into place Hope realizes that it is time for a change. She makes a drastic change, perhaps fate played a hand but she is both nervous and excited about her new journey. What she is not ready for is Dive Instructor Alex Monroe. Hope feels connected to Alex but with all the turmoil surrounding the changes at the resort she is now running, Hope is reluctant to take a chance. Close proximity plays a hand and soon they cannot stop the feelings growing around them. Can both Alex and Hope work together to put the past in the past and move towards a future together?
I enjoyed this one quite a bit. I really enjoyed Hope finding herself and starting her new journey. I thought this was inspiring and was rooting for Hope finding her happy. Alex is a bit of a mystery initially but I was drawn to his character the chemistry was wonderful between Alex and Hope, look forward to the next book.

Give me some good MC romance. Malice has all that I require in a good romance MC First off, we have hot MC, FMC needs rescuing. Chemistry has to brewing under everything. Let the drama roll. Oh, did this one have a little of everything. I live for the that drama and couldn’t put this down. I really enjoyed the writing. It was so engaging that you felt like you were right in the heart of it. I can get behind recommend this to MC lovers.
This is book 3 in the Predator series and if you haven’t read the first two books, I highly suggest that you do so you have some background information. Each of the characters for these books are introduced in other books in the series. I tend to enjoy that when reading a series because you get glimpses of what might be coming next or you get to see your favorite characters living their lives. This book is a super quick read not only because it is just a book you don’t want to put down but also because it is a shorter book or seemed that way to me. Before, I go into why this book is amazing please do take note that you don’t have to read the other two books in the series before this one, as it is considered a stand alone. So if you do read this one, first just know that the other books in the series are just as good and you won’t be disappointed when you read them. This book has passion, drama, secrets, character baggage, love, and triumph. There is a past that helped shape one of the characters and they have to figure out if they can overcome that in order to have a fulfilling life of love that they deserve. You will find yourself feeling all the emotions of the characters. You will be rooting for them as they figure things out. You will finish this books feeling at peace with everything that happened and how things ended. The being said I am not going to give anything away. You will find out yourselves when you read this book. I can’t wait for more in this series. They are so good. Reviewed by: @bbohls

Falling Down is the first book in the Rockstar series by new-to-me author Anne Mercier. It is a contemporary, New Adult, rockstar romance- with chemistry, sizzle, drama, and banter. When this popped up as a recommended book, I snapped up a copy with the hope of losing myself in a great story. But, unfortunately, I just couldn’t find my ‘groove’ with this book. I really wanted to love Jesse and Lucy and get completely wrapped up in them and their story- BUT I just couldn’t connect. The dialogue felt forced to me, and somewhat awkward- so that put me off right away. I just felt like this story could have been so much MORE- I felt like there was something missing- and while it was quite steamy, it seemed to me to be lacking the emotion, angst, drama, and development that I was looking for. But this is just my opinion, so if you love rockstar romance with plenty of sizzle- then maybe you should grab yourself a copy and decide for yourself- as plenty of others have absolutely loved this book. There are 18+ books in the Rockstar series, so I am hoping that if I continue with the series that things will finally ‘click’ for me. Happy Reading…

This is a super cute Rock/Actress love story you want to root for. Luciana Russo an award-winning actress who has a long-standing schoolgirl crush on none other than Jesse Kingston. Jesse is the lead singer from the band Falling Down. Luciana or Lucy for short and Serafina (her cousin/sister) are the models for a secret band’s music video. When who else but Jesse Kingston and his bandmates walk in as Lucy and Sera are jamming out on the set with the band’s instruments. This story follows you on a wild ride of an actress turning musician and the man she wants nothing but to call her own.

I can’t wait to read the next book in this series! This book is beautifully written, making you feel like you’re a bystander in the story, seeing and experiencing the same things as the main characters.
Hope and Alex are both broken, and they find healing in each other. They both have their walls up, but the more time they spend with each other, the more they see a future together.

4.5 stars I haven’t read any books by this author, but because I love MC stories, I decided to give it a try. It was only halfway through that I realized there were many more books before in the series. This is Malice’s story in the Demented Souls MC series, where alpha males are tough and take no-nonsense, but underneath it all, they are like brothers and big teddy bears. I love their bonds and banter with each other. Bonnie was in an abusive relationship but try telling that to her aggressive ex who won’t leave her alone. Fortunately, when he attempts to kidnap her, it is thwarted by one scary-looking man. Unfortunately, his attempts at getting to her escalate, and she now needs the help of the man who came to her rescue. Malice is newly patched in and still finding his place, but he likes his space to keep himself in check. Luckily, he was in the right place at the right time to stop a woman from being kidnapped, and their chemistry is amazing. Unfortunately, they both soon find themselves in a fight for their lives. I am definitely going back to read them all. I think I have fallen in love. Melissa is a girl after my own heart with this series.
3 – 3.5 stars Falling Down is a captivating young adult/new adult contemporary rockstar romance, filled with lively language, humour, wit, and banter among the characters, especially the band members. Lucy was starstruck when she met Jesse Kingston, the famous rock star and sexy bad-boy musician, at the age of 17. She has been infatuated with him ever since, and six years later, they cross paths once again, rekindling the chemistry they shared years ago. Jesse vividly remembers the girl he met at the airport years earlier and often thought of her. Now, she is set to appear in his video, but he desires her for more than just that. He wants her in his life, and now he must convince her that she wants the same. The story is entertaining, but I craved more – more angst, more emotions, just something a bit more.

This was a fun book with romance, famous people, and a lot of music. I liked the playlist at the end! Lucy runs into her school girl crush at the airport when she is 17. She is moving to LA from Chicago to become an actress. Her cousin Sera has been like a sister since her parents were killed when she was young. I thought the book would go into some of the mafia backstory but it only focused on the present. Sera talks for Lucy as she is stunned at meeting the lead man for the band Falling Down, Jesse Kingston. He is on the same flight so he walks them to the gate. He has a moment with Lucy who finally is able to talk a little. Fast forward six years, Lucy is an Academy Award winning actress and Sera is a well known model. They are working on a set for a music video but they don’t know which band. Lucy and Sera were in a band in high school so they decided to jam to pass time, when suddenly a guitar and singer joined them. Low and behold, it is Falling Down and Jesse Kingston, and he remembers her! The sparks fly and he invites her to stay the weekend, but she is not sure if she can handle saying goodbye. The story was great, the characters were fun, there was a ton of banter with all the band mates, and I laughed a lot. This was a fun read and it looks like there are 20 more books in this series that I now need to look into adding to my Kindle.

I don’t know where to even start with this book. It had me laughing so much with the banter of it all. Smiling at all good parts. The spice factor is there also. Lets see Mafia stuff, Hollywood actress and also musicians… you can’t beat this intwined book that’s going to make you want to keep going in the series. ( once you’re hooked…you’re hooked) You can just tell the chemistry is there between Jesse and Lucy. It’s a wonderfully written story full of hope and great characters. A definite must read! I’m definitely going to book 2 in this series.

Only recently patched in, Malice is still getting to know many of his brothers, but living in the bunkhouse is going to set off his short fuse. He needs some space from people.
Bonnie broke up with her ex a couple of weeks before, but he won’t take no for an answer. He shows up where she is and is getting more aggressive. When he attempts to kidnap her from the street in broad daylight she can only be thankful for the intimidating man who stepped in and ran her ex off. When the newcomer’s actions are at opposition with his looks, Bonnie is confused, and intrigued.
When her ex escalates things, she has no where to turn but the intriguing man who has been on her mind since she first met him. But where can they go with his surly nature and her hesitance to trust men again? Pick up Malice today to find out!
Melissa was born and raised in Arizona. She’s spent her entire life all over the southern half of the state. She’s found that, along with her husband and four children, she prefers the small towns and rural life to feeling packed into a city.
Melissa learned to read at barely three, and her love for series started early, as the first ‘real’ books she remembers reading is the Boxcar Children series by Gertrude Chandler Warner. Through the years she’s found there’s little she won’t read, and her tastes vary from westerns, to romance, to sci-fi / fantasy and Horror.
In October of 2015 the anthology, Wicked After Dark, which featured Change by Melissa, hit #13 on the New York Times Bestseller list. To date, Melissa has more than 50 books available.

Jesse Kingston is a tall, dark, and gorgeous temptation I’m finding hard to resist. When he proposes a weekend together, I throw caution to the wind and indulge my fantasies and give this sexy rocker what he wants and something he won’t forget–me.
The only questions are: Is one weekend going to be enough? Will our time end up changing this bad boy? Or will it end up changing me?

If you are following this series you understand that this story is all about Beth and Scott. If you are not following this series, you should first stop, step back and read Predator parts 1 and 2 to figure out who all the characters are. This novella about Scott and Beth is so emotional and filled with growth and laughter and second chances. It is beautiful.
Beth is following her dream of becoming a professional boxer under Chamberlain’s guidance and team. When K.C. gets pregnant, Chamberlain decides to take the season (not something I realized that boxers have) off and stay at home with K.C.. Scott and Beth head out on the road for the season and her fights. Between the bouts and the training and just the close proximity, Beth and Scott start to become frenemies. That eventually leads to them not hating each other and a friendship.
Through this time with Scott, Beth is slowly healing the wounds that needed to be healed on the inside so that she could figure out that she could, in fact, love again. Scott’s patience helps get Beth there. One night Beth opens up about everything, all the horrible-ness of her past and why she has been keeping Scott at arm’s length. Scott tries to help Beth understand that none of it matters. That he can love all the broken pieces of her until she is whole or put back together again.
Some big stuff happens (can’t tell you what, you’ll have to read the book for that). Beth finally tells K.C. all the dark and horrible-ness from her past. K.C. tells her that she loves her and that she is her sister because Beth loved her when K.C. didn’t love herself. It was a tearfilled moment.
Not sure where this series goes next but I am here for it. Love these characters. Not sure about everyone. I still don’t trust that everyone has the best intentions but we will see. Oh….If I hadn’t already said it, read this book. It is really good!

This was an enjoyable story. Hope finds herself having a hard time in her life with her job and the end of her relationship. Hope unexpectedly wins a contest and is now the owner of a dive resort in St. Croix. There are a lot of obstacles to face in her new adventure. This book is full of great characters, some suspense, romance, good friends, and so much more. This book pulled me in from the beginning and I found myself completely invested throughout. This author did an excellent job creating a story where I felt like I was there. I can’t wait to read more by this author. I recommend this book.

I liked Beth from the very beginning of Katie’s story but getting to know her made me love her and brought out my strong desire to comfort and mother her.
Scott is always there to help Chamberlain and Katie , but he never took the time to live his life. It was all centered around training Chamberlain and traveling to the different fights, but Beth changed everything the moment he saw her.
The back and forth between Scott and Beth was entertaining. They made me laugh more times than I can count but there were also some tears shed.
I have the next book on my Kindle ready to read and I cannot wait to dive in.

When Hope wins a raffle, and the prize is a scuba resort in St Croix, her life just might be getting the change that it needs. Alex is the diving instructor at the resort, there to escape his own past. These two are determined to keep things professional…and keep those walls up. But, as time passes, and unexpected things are happening around them, the two must work closely together to figure out what’s going on. The more time they spend together, though, the closer they become. Will they both let their walls down, and let each other in, to see if they can have a future together?
This was a good read. It was the perfect book for reading at the beach…imagining myself on the sand in St. Croix. I could almost feel myself there with the descriptions given in the book. I enjoyed both characters as they got to know each other as the book progressed. As this was the firs tin the series, I will be looking forward to future books!

Beth visits a children’s cancer center and meets Tilly. Returning to the hotel, Scott is shocked to see Beth’s hair is gone. She had her hair cut to make Tilly a wig.
In Denver, Bob enters the locker room while Scott uses the bathroom. Seeing Beth standing frozen and Bob telling her to give him a kiss, Scott rushes to her side, telling Bob to leave immediately, claiming to be her boyfriend. Later that evening, Scott discovers Beth has a hidden secret. She takes a step to confide in Scott, telling him the details as to why she doesn’t trust anyone. Instead of abandoning her, Scott consoles her and declares he will always be there for her. In Dallas, Beth and Scott are closer, though she still isn’t fully committed to Scott. They are spending time in a dance club when someone from the past changes the future of Wildfire’s rise to the championship.
The dive into Scott and Beth’s love/hate relationship was written tastefully. I found the sentimental recollection seen through Scott’s memory of their night in Las Vegas during K.C and Chamberlain’s wedding gave a better idea of how he was willing to abandon his playboy reputation. Beth’s visit to the Children’s Cancer Treatment Center brought tears to my eyes. I would have had the same reaction as Scott when he learned why she shaved her head. The surprise revelations were captivating. Connecting with the emotions of the two characters was effortless and the transitions between each point of view were seamless. The use of italics in Scott’s recollection of the path made it clear what point of time was being reflected. I would recommend this romance novel to mature adults who enjoy seeing both sides of a relationship as it develops.

This book was really all about Beth (K.C.’s best friend) and how she got where she is today. There is a continued love/hate relationship between her and Scott (Chamberlain’s best friend). There are really sad parts throughout the story and I feel for Beth and everything that she has gone through since she was abandoned by her mom. I wouldn’t even now how to feel if that had happened to me. Can you relate to her? Scott is a ladies man and never that a relationship could ever happen but there is just something about Beth that he can’t quite get and he realizes that he wants the same thing as Chamberlain has. Can they find love within each other or are these two destined to be alone for the rest of their lives? You need to read the series in order to really get the answer. Wildfire Knockout by Brooke May My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is Hope and Alex’s story from the beginning. When Hope loses her boyfriend and a promotion on the same day, she is broken-hearted. She resigns from her job and now has nothing. No job, no boyfriend and living in cold Chicago. Well until she finds out her sister won her a scuba diving resort. Oh my! Alex is not only hot, he is a scuba diving instructor. But there are many secrets that lie between Alex and Hope. Can these two strangers work together? Can they be the teacher they each need? Only reading this book will draw you in and you will find yourself sucked in as I did. This author has started a new series that will keep you entertained. Her knowledge and research brings this story to life. The budding romance will keep you hoping for both Hope and Alex. I look forward to reading the next installment to this series. What a grand story and series to read.

What a great part two to an already fabulous book! Katie and Chamberlain are back, and the love and steam are just as good, if not better, in this book. Beth and Scott are fussing and fighting throughout the book as Beth tries to figure out who she is and where she wants her life to go. We get to meet Marissa, who is a sweet and lovely little girl who steals everyone’s heart, and of course, we see Fiona again. Grab a copy of this book and see the love and spice everyone dreams of having for themselves.
