The Predator Series continues with Wildfire Knockout. This novella is a quick read and oh so good! Beth and Scott finally become friends, but the real question is can they become more. Finding the one can be easy, healing is the hard part.
This author continues to bring us into her world, where the tough, sexy women don’t really need rescuing, but the helpful, sexy men sure don’t hurt. This story was easy to read just like the first two before it and since this is book three in the series, it must be read in order.

This is the first book in the Half Moon Bay series. This is a contemporary romance which has lots of twists and turns, angst, slow burn romance and finding love when you least expect it. This was definately a book I would enjoy curled up on a beach somewhere. Once I started it I was transported to the beautiful setting of white beaches and blue seas.
Hope thinks her life is good until her boyfriend leaves her because she is predictable. Hope has never really taken a risk in her life so when her sister tells her about a raffle to win a scuba resort Hope thinks it’s a joke. I mean it’s not like she will win right?
But that is exactly what happens and now Hope finds herself leaving her old life behind and setting off somewhere new to start and run her resort. However she doesn’t have a clue on how to run a scuba resort. She needs help and that comes in the form of scuba diving instructor Alex.
Alex sees that Hope needs help and he’s only to happy to help her find her feet. But when the chemistry between them starts to become too much can they resist the pull. Especially when fate keeps dragging them back together. Both Hope and Alex have scars from their past but can they both be brave enough to realise that their way forward could be with each other?
I loved both Hope and Alex. They both have their own demons from their pasts but when they are together all that seems to fade into the background. You can’t help be captivated by their story and wishing for their happy ever after.

This story is about Scott and Beth And its has some emotional parts to it, so be warned lol. Wildfire Knockout is part of Brooke May’s Predator Series, and it continues to build on the tension and drama of its predecessors with its electrifying mix of suspense and intrigue. In this installment, the stakes are higher as the characters face increasingly dangerous challenges. As always this authors writing is engaging, capturing both the suspense and emotional depth of the narrative. This book is likely to keep you hooked and eager the whole time. I can’t wait for the next part in this series. If you haven’t read this or any book by this author then I highly suggest you do.

Typically I can pinpoint why I fall for a book as I did “Finding Hope”, but I can’t this time. From the first chapter to the last I was simply drawn to Hope and her story of getting her life back. The tropical setting and loveable divemaster, Alex, added to the fun. Both Hope and Alex are so much more than meets the eye as they harbor secrets of past deceit, hurt, and loss.

Lucy has had a crush on the lead singer of Falling Down, Jesse Kingston for years. One lucky moment gets her an autograph and years later she is one of the models in Falling Down’s new music video. Jesse is attracted to Lucy, Lucy feels the same but neither are looking for commitment with their chaotic schedules. As they get closer will they be able to let other each other go?
I really enjoyed this one, going to seek out the next book. I thought this was pure entertainment and the chemistry between Jesse and Lucy is undeniable. Filled with humorous moments that kept me turning the pages.

Finding Hope is the first in a series called Half Moon Bay. It was an amazing story that followed Hope and Alex in the most amazing location in St. Croix. Hope finds herself looking for a new opportunity for her future and ends up in St. Croix. There she meets Alex who is a diver for the resort that Hope shows up at. This was a very slow burn but intriguing story that left me wanting to read more! I’m definitely in for the rest of the series, and find myself wanting to be the next visitor at Half Moon Bay Resort.

An enjoyable and engaging beach romance which kept me happily turning the pages. Hope’s life is turned upside down when she unexpectedly becomes the owner of a scuba diving resort in the Caribbean. Dive instructor Alex is scarred by his past but has made peace with his life on the island, then Hope arrives. Whilst Hope and Alex are trying to ignore their mutual attraction and obvious chemistry, a series of mishaps throws them together. This slow burn romance had me hooked. The island setting of St. Croix came vividly to life through the descriptive narrative, making me feel fully immersed in the story. The chemistry between the likeable and relatable Hope and Alex came across in the narrative and led to some steamy scenes. I look forward to returning to Half Moon Bay soon!

This book is a light hearted and fun romance story with some brilliant characters. I was pulled straight into this book from the first page. I thought the story was well developed and a great example of a slow build story. I loved watching how the story played out and the characters grew together throughout it. The connection between the two characters was obvious from the start and it only grew stronger as they navigated everything thrown at them. This is the perfect book for one of those lazy afternoons reading and I found it to be thorough enjoyable.

Bonnie is being hassled by an abusive Ex but is saved by Malice when her Ex just won’t take no for an answer after leaving a diner. When the Ex escalates his behaviour with no one else to help Bonnie turns to Malice and things develop from there. This captivating storyline filled with wonderful characters had me turning page after page and I am sure you will be hooked too! This is a brand new author for me and who doesn’t love it when they find a fantastic and talented new authors creations to read. I was initially drawn in because I love MC books but it is this authors talent that kept me reading and will have me going back to read more of this series!

Can you really find your true love at such a young age? This is the wonderful tale of Beckett and Mallory, two best friends growing up who never got over one another. I love how realistic this book is, how siblings can interfere with everyday life and how you always are looking for your long lost love. A book that you can easily place yourself in the characters shoes and are along for the rollercoaster ride that is life.

Such a great beach read. What would you do if you could just start over? New place, new job, new people. Would you take the chance or keep living your predictable unhappy life. Hope is stuck in a rut and no matter what she does it just keeps getting worse. Along comes the chance of a lifetime, a contest that could change her entire life, but predictable Hope wants nothing to do with it, her younger sister however is all about giving Hope a new start. When Hope’s ticket wins the contest her life is about to change drastically, as she’s now the proud owner of a dive resort in what one could only call paradise. A must read to see how Hope finds herself and a little bit of love along the way.

5 Stars Finding Hope: A Small Town Beach Romance (Half Moon Bay Series) by Erin Brockus
Finding Hope is the first book in the Half Moon Bay series and is a small town Romance with beach/ island setting. There’s plenty of drama, chemistry, angst and so much more. This is a fairly new author to me and I’m definitely a fan already. Their style of writing and attention to detail makes you feel apart of the story. The characters are fully developed and relatable. Alex and Hope both have their pasts. She’s stuck in a rut and finds herself the new owner of a Dive resort so fate has something big in store for her. Alex is also in a ruthless and lives and breathes scuba diving a the resort where he’s the instructor. These two have some serious chemistry between. Can they be what the other is looking for? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more about them soon

This was a great 4 star read. It is a novella for the Predator series. I was excited to get Beth and Scott’s story. Beth has a past that she is trying to move forward from. There is something about Scott that calls to Beth and she starts to fall for him. There is something about him that makes her feel safe. I really liked both characters, I had some LOL moments. Overall I enjoyed this read and getting to see more in depth story for these two. It can be read as a stand alone but I do suggest reading from the beginning of the series. I look forward to reading more from this author and series. 1-click and get started today.

This was a fun and entertaining read. This story pulled me right in with great characters, laughter, music, talent, steamy moments and more. There was chemistry between Jesse and Lucy the first time they met and neither one forgot that even though there is quite some time before they run into each other again. Lucy is a huge fan of Falling Down, the band that Jesse is the lead singer of. She has had a major crush on Jesse for as long as she can remember. Lucy has amazing talent as a singer but she has been acting because that is what her mom has wanted her to do and for a long time she thought that’s what she wanted as well. I don’t want to give anything away. If you want to find out what happens between these two and find out if Lucy makes a career change, then you will want to dive right into this book. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I recommend this book.

Beth Martin doesn’t have faith in herself, her past has shaped her and when she steps in the ring she feels strong. With Scott Franks helping her to achieve her goals and push through the walls she has erected around herself.
Scott had one night with Beth and he wants more, but Beth is holding secrets close and he only sees one way to help her, will it ruin everything they are building instead?
This one had some heartbreaking moments. I felt for Beth, she is a bit of an enigma at first but you begin to understand everything as the story unfolds. I really liked Scott with Beth, he is polar opposite and grapples a bit with not knowing how to not just rely on his charm to get close to Beth. Another wonderful read in the series.

Luciana “Lucy” Russo and Serafina “Sera” Manzini were fans of the rock music band Falling Down. At 17, Lucy and Sera were in a Chicago airport waiting for a flight when Sera spotted Jesse. She drags Lucy over to the rock star. Jesse spends time with the two girls. When he takes a personal picture with Lucy, their flight is called. Jesse and Lucy look into each other’s eyes and feel something between them spark. Parting ways, Lucy and Sera start their lives with memories of their encounter.
Six years later, Lucy was a successful and famous actress. Lucy and Sera have agreed to do a music video job that Cage Nichols was directing. After both girls were ready for filming, both went to the staging area. Seeing the band’s equipment, the girls borrow some of the equipment. Not paying attention to their surroundings, the girls don’t realize that the members of Falling Down and Cage have arrived. Everyone is impressed by their amazing talent. Jesse remembers both girls and introduces them to the remaining band members.
The first day of filming has finished. Lucy and Sera were relaxing in the dressing room when the band entered. Jesse tells Lucy that he intends on having sex with her by the time they are done with filming. That evening, the girls go to a club to blow off steam. Lucy sees Jesse, and they start dancing together. When other people begin taking their pictures and filming the intimate way they are dancing, Lucy’s bodyguard interrupts them. Paparazzi were en route to the club.
Sera and Lucy have been collaborating about forming their own band. They had both dreamed of being musicians. When they approach Cage about the idea, Jesse and Xander overhear the conversation. Taking a break from being a movie actress, Lucy expects backlash from her mother, Regina. She is not shocked when Regina claims she is throwing away her fame and profitable career.
Lucy had always wanted to spend a night with Jesse, believing he wanted a fling as well. Jesse’s reputation as a playboy is well known. Agreeing to go to dinner with Jesse, Lucy is surprised by his devoted attention. Dinner turns into something more intimate at Jesse’s house. What Lucy doesn’t know is that the spark from six years ago threatens to consume them.
Falling Down is the first book in the Rockstar series by Anne Mercier. The best way to describe the plot is by comparing it to a spark building into an inferno. Lots of steamy scenes for the romance fans while still having a story of personal growth for Lucy and Jesse. The Chicago mafia ties to the girls lingering around the edges. The character development for each person was beyond exceptional. The clear changes in perspective between Jesse and Lucy are easy to follow. The vivid details make it easy to envision each scene clearly. Mercier didn’t make Lucy, Sera, and the group of Falling Down infallible. This made it easy to find their actions and thoughts relatable, a trait that I admired. I have nothing negative to say about this amazing story and look forward to continuing the series.

Falling Down is the first book in the Rockstar series by Anne Mercier. The story starts when teenage Lucy bumps into her ultimate crush rockstar Jesse in the airport, the two instantly connect but then get on their flights separately. Fast forward a few years and Lucy is a successful, if a bit unhappy, Hollywood star. When she takes on a job as a dancer for a music video she didn’t know that it would change the course of her career, and life in general. Jesse is shocked when he sees the girl from his past rocking out using his guitar and the whole band decide to take the girls under their wing. The story that follows is like a fairy tale with the heroes reaching for their dreams and finding their true loves. I liked this book, it was a nice read but the characters were not the easiest to relate to. I would recommend to romance fans.

The first time Lucy meets her childhood crush (you know…the one we all had growing up) at the airport, she isn’t sure what do or say. Fast forward, Lucy is grown up now and she and her sister are going do a music video with Falling Down…and her longtime crush, Jesse Kingston. Jesse feels the spark roar to life when Lucy is in the room. He wants just one weekend with her…but will that be enough?
What ensues is a story of following your dream…and your heart. It is a reminder of what you can accomplish when you have the support of everyone around you. I loved the characters and found myself unable to put it down. It was funny, romantic, and H-O-T hot! Anne Mercier is an author I have read in the past and they have blown me away again with this story! Can’t wait to see what happens next.

Lucy’s life was one that so many dreamed of as a kid. To meet your favorite musician and to make it big in Hollywood. She achieved both by her early/mid 20’s, she could never have thought the two would cross over.
Jesse the lead singer of Falling Down has been on top for a long time. Had his share of women and lots of success. He goes in with his band to shoot a video and walks away with so much more.
This was a nice break from the books where they don’t communicate and end up breaking up for some stupid reason that could have been avoided if they had just spoken with one another.
The intimate scenes were worth reading slowly so I didn’t miss a word. I also developed some shower envy for Jesse’s shower.
I’m fully invested with these characters and plan on working my way through the series as quickly as I can.

Malice whose real name is Corey. He doesn’t mean to be a hero but that’s exactly what he is. Bonnie’s ex boyfriend doesn’t want to give up. Goes as far to attempt to kidnap Bonnie. Then that’s when Malice intervenes. I highly recommend this book. It’s such a fast and easy read.
Hope Collins is stuck in a rut, but when she is passed over for a promotion which should have been hers, her sister Sara decides to take Hope’s future in her hands. So when Hope confronts her boss and quits she is plunged into a world of darkness but Sara has the answer.
So when Sara announces that Hope has won a raffle and it’s a beach resort in the Virgin Islands Hope is not quite sure it’s legit until she speaks to the owner Steve and it seems above board. So Hope packs up her life and makes her way to her new business Half Moon Bay Resort.
Alex Monroe is trying to regain his life back from his past, being the Divemaster at New Moon Bay Resort has calmed him but when his boss decides to retire and raffle the resort Alex thinks he has gone mad, so when the new owner is about to arrive they discover Steve can’t stick around and vanishes leaving him and Pattie to welcome Hope. U Pom seeing Hope something stirs in Alex that he thought had gone away so as they continue to become friends, can they resist the attraction and chemistry or will they delve straight in.
This is the first book in this series and what a book, the main characters are wonderful and Alex and Hope’s chemistry jumps off the page with each turn.
I loved the sassy nature of Hope and her determination to make the resort a success but the internal thoughts that she was having regarding Alex kept you on your toes. Alex’s character although strong and Alpha has a vulnerability which I love in alpha characters which is lovely to read and as you gone he become more beautiful inside and out.
The secondary character make this book a joy to read and you feel at times as being a part of this wonderful family the author has created.
I definitely can’t wait to read the next book in the series and see where the author takes us in the relationship of Alex and Hope.

I absolutely loved Falling Down!! The author sucked me in immediately with the way the book was written. What are the chances the guy you’ve been lusting over is the guy you met at the airport as well? This book to me is the gift that keeps on giving. Now it’s your turn to find out. Luci is determined and driven but stuck in a job she doesn’t love. With a chance to vent to get things off her chest, Sera has no reason not to love. Well maybe the disconnect being she’s being forced and needs to hear both. She is her best friend after all. Which means she also knows what Falling Down’s lead singer Jesse does to Luci. What happens when they end up in the same room? She’s here! Jesse wants his one who got away. There’s more to her than being a hot actress. He knows they are connected, he just needs to convince her of that very thing. Working together seemed the opportune time. However when she makes an announcement, how will it impact what he wants? Career changes can be difficult. New potential relationships could be causality, well he needs to convince her otherwise first. Will they weather the storm? Does he finally get the girl? All that and so so so so much more during this wonderful book. If you like fun rockstar romantic comedies, this is definitely the book for you!!

Malice is running errands for his club when he goes to a diner for dinner where he meets Bonnie, whose ex can’t seem to understand they are no longer a couple. Malice sees a man who is only going to escalate, he decides to protect Bonnie. Malice doesn’t expect anything to come of befriending Bonnie, but an undeniable chemistry builds between them and they find themselves falling for one another. Can they find their happiness or will Bonnie’s ex succeed in taking Bonnie back?
New to me author, I will definitely be checking out more in this series. I was pulled right in with this story and couldn’t put the book down. I am so curious about some of the other characters, really enjoyed Bonnie and Malice together.
Erin Brockus’ Finding Hope follows Hope Collins, ready to start over after losing a relationship and leaving her job. An exciting opportunity brings her to St Croix, where she meets Alex, reserved diver with a mysterious past. Both reluctant to work together at first, and both having spent their lives holding themselves back from feeling anything, this is a slowburn romance with a sweet ending. A lot happens over the course of a few months and Erin manages to show how not only the relationship but also the characters develop over time. The only issue I had with the writing was at the beginning, where the race of the black characters was frequently mentioned but the race of the white characters was not, as it felt out of place, especially considering the story was set in the Virgin Islands. I recommend this book because both Hope and Alex are relatable to a lot of people, and their stories are inspiring. Hope’s story was particularly inspiring to me, after everything she’s been through, and having the courage to start over. ‘Most of all, under the table, Alex’s knee had been pressed against hers for quite some time, and she hadn’t moved away. Didn’t want to move away.’

Malice is the tenth book in the Demented Souls series by new-to-me author, Melissa Stevens. I have come into this series seriously late, and very backwards it seems, as I had not realised that this is the tenth book in the series until I had already snapped up a copy to dive into. Thankfully, it can be read as a standalone, as each book appears to focus on a different member of the Demented Souls Motorcycle Club. And after reading this, I will definitely be going back to read the previous books and getting to know the Demented Souls brotherhood a lot better. This is a well-woven and engrossing romantic suspense with drama, danger, intrigue, chemistry, protective Alpha-type MC, a bit of a damsel in distress vibe, humour, banter, emotion, and tension. Malice has just become a fully patched member of the Demented Souls, while working on the ranch. On a trip to town for supplies, Malice follows his highly-tuned instincts and ends up saving a woman from being abducted in broad daylight. Bonnie’s abusive ex won’t take no for an answer….. so, when things begin to spiral out of control, the story takes a steamy, tense, and intriguing turn. Well worth the read. Looking forward to the rest of the series. Happy Reading…

The only bad thing about Wildfire Knockout wa that it was a novella and it ended way too soon. I’m so glad to finally read about Beth and everything she had been through in her life. She will never be alone again because now she has KC, Chamberlain and Scott in her corner supporting her every step of the way.
Beth and Scott grow close as they are on the road together a lot and spend alot of time together but, Beth is a tough nut to crack. Aside from one crazy night together, she keeps her distance or at least tries to. Scott, makes it very hard for her. There is a lot happening in this short novella. When Beth finally seems to Be giving in a little, something traumatic happens which has everyone on edge. Will she be able to move forward now that everything has been laid to rest?
This author is an amazing writer and I can pretty much read any book she writes without even knowing what it’s about.

I enjoyed reading this MC romance story. This is part of a series that can be read as a stand alone. I look forward to reading more from this series in the future. This is a well written story about Bonnie and Malice. He has just recently been patched into the MC. She has just broken up with her ex but the problem is that he won’t take no for an answer. What happens when Malice runs her ex off? Bonnie is intrigued by him but will she learn that it is okay to trust a man again? I enjoyed both of these characters. Their chemistry and attraction to each other is great. They have great growth throughout the story which makes it easy to read. I enjoyed how they brought the story to life and had me coming back for more. This is a fast paced, hard to put down story. It is engaging and one you don’t want to miss what happens between Bonnie and Malice. I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it.
