I enjoyed this book by Hazel Storm. Vanessa’s story is very interesting and I love how strong she is as an individual. The story itself was well written and flowed well. Hazel Storm writes a good book and I am looking forward to the continuation of Vanessa’s story as she finds love.

Dirty Kisses and Conflicting Wishes (Kiss Me Series Book 1) by Danielle Jacks – Review by Jennifer Gordon

Dirty Kisses and Conflicting WishesDirty Kisses and Conflicting Wishes by Danielle Jacks
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a fun lighthearted romance with an unlikely couple which had me hooked from page one. Zoe Merrill and her brother, Tyler’s ex best friend Damien have a mutual agreement to fake a relationship but the longer they live the lie the less fake their relationship feels. This feel good steamy romance has likeable and relatable characters who’s chemistry sizzles off the page. I found it to be a fairly short read but an action packed one which was enjoyable and engaging.

This is a beautifully written romance. Even though it isn’t a huge book it has a complete story and is action packed and leaves you wanting more. The author does an amazing job at describing Indian culture and the influences of that in this story is lovely.

This book is about 2 people who meet when they least expect it. As well as the age gap between them there is also the fact that Sanaya wants to start a family and Leo has already got kids and doesn’t want any more. The couple have to overcome many obstacles to be together and their journey is on of hope, laughter and quote a few tears all in the name of love.

This is for sure an adult book. Even so these scenes are well written, The attraction between the two starts from the first meeting. Cy has an undercover job to do for his family and by chance meets Jolie. The rest is history as they say. Good story, you will enjoy it. It grabs your attention from the beginning and keeps it until the end.

I’m Vanessa and I have this thing I do that brings out the inner beauty in people. Can’t really
explain it; I just do it — but my talent seems to have ticked off a goddess or two.
And I’ve no idea why.
My first major lesson in life came when my billionaire father left us — with nothing.
Thanks, Dad.
That’s when I realized there are only two types of men: angels and — yeah — the other “A”
word.
Mind you, I’m about to meet a few guys who might, actually, be both.
Hard to imagine, huh?
First off, Grey. He’s the Don of the Underworld. And being an a-hole is pretty much part of the
job. But as you might imagine, he’s sexy as Hell.
Then, there’s Aroz — literally an angel — with the whole nine yards…golden wings, lusty love
arrows, and to-die-for lips as curvaceous as his well-strung bow…which isn’t the only thing of
his that’s well-strung, by the way.
And finally, Raef. Meeting him turned my attitude toward men on its head. And as good as
forced me to add a third category to the list. Gentlemen.
Now, I’ve got three categories and three sexy-as-sin men.
Well, I guess there are worse problems to have…
Oh, wait. I might have a few of those, too.

This is the first book I have read by Phoebe Alexander, and I can tell you it has been a hot and steamy ride. If you don’t like hot and steamy, then don’t read it but by the cover of the book you can tell it is already. Not only does the writer incorporate some no string attached playboy type stuff, but she pulls at the heart strings of the reader when you find out the mother is a single mother who has a child that is sick. Playboy who keeps on playing, or someone who trips up and falls in love? Keep reading because there are twist and turns on this roller coaster of a story!

I truly enjoyed reading this! I probably felt a little more attached to it since it was a military guy and his girl. I loved the description of the town, the parents’ (on both sides) involvement, and how Patience got back to herself before moving on from her loveless marriage. May did a fantastic job of making Duke redeem himself before getting the girl!

It says book 1, which means there should be more in this series! My hope is that it’s about the rest of their guy friends and finding love!

Sugar & Spice by Phoebe Alexander
Four Stars

Sugar & Spice is the first book in the Spicetopia series by Phoebe Alexander. This book was just what I anticipated from Ms. Alexander. The main characters Jolie Cox, a single mother, and Cy Sweet, the son of an amusement park owners, meet while they are each playing roles at Sweetopia. Their chemistry is off the chart, and the dialogue is full of sass. This book kept me up long into the night, just to see what happened in the end. This is a great start to what I hope is a superb series.

Courage of Us is book one in it’s series. It is such a great story that you can very easily get lost in! I know I did! The characters are realistic and so believable. The story felt so real, it was full of feelings and emotions, chemistry, poorly made decisions, forgiveness and second chances. It was just beautifully written and such a great, amazing read. I highly recommend giving this a read. I’m very eager to read more from the series.

So to start with I love me a British book especially because I don’t read that many and I love when we have things set in places I know well. Also, love that the author is English herself. This is have nothing to do with the actual book I just love it.

This was a fast-paced steamy read and I was there for it, I demolished this book in one sitting and I truly have no regrets about that. It was great. I really enjoyed Damien and Zoe’s relationship I love me a fake relationship to start with and seeing when they get feelings for each other I just live for it.

I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Patience and Duke share past and their journey is one of being lost, discovering an inner strength and determination to live a wonderful life, courage to carry on and fight for your wants and desires. Friends to lovers and second chances
This was an easy, quick-read with good character and story development. Told in dual POV, I connected with both characters. The author does a brilliant job of putting a unique twist on what could have been a predictable romance story. This is the first book I have read from Brooke May and I will definitely be checking out more of her work. She does a fantastic job of drawing the reader into the story. Patience LaClare and Duke Michaels had been best friends since they were in diapers. Everything was looking up for them as they graduated from high school. Patience was ready to drop her high school boyfriend and profess her love for Duke. But all that changed the day after graduation when Duke left Centennial, Montana to join the Marine Corps.

Seven years later, Duke is returning to Centennial after being medically discharged from the Corps. Suffering from PTSD, he knows that he still needs help from a therapist and medication. He left years ago hoping to come back from the love of his life, Patience. Instead, she had married her high school boyfriend, and so Duke stayed away.

Brooke May tells a story of love and loss in the Courage of Us. The story is written beautifully. The characters in the book are inspiring and relatable. I loved reading this book as I can relate to Patience, and her desire to be her own person after losing so much in life

I have to say I love when I find a new author like Ava Alise and I am blown away by their writing. In His Kiss was more than I was expecting, these characters had me glued to the pages and holding my breath to see what was going to happen next.

Jordan and Xia have been best friends for years but one night something changed, was this change good or just a mistake? But if two people have been holding on to feelings for one another, is it a mistake?

Jordan and Xia were meant to be together, these two were in sync and you could tell there was love between them. I’m looking forward to getting to know their friends more in their books.

I am very familiar with this author as I have read many of her books so I kind of had an idea of what I would be getting with her writing style and characterization. This one did not disappoint me. I couldn’t put it down. In fact, let’s just say that I finished it in about 5 hours today. I am always able to relate to the characters that she writes about to the point I feel like I personally know them. And I love books like that. I love her way of writing such steamy , sometimes graphic, sex scenes. This one was no different, so I highly recommend only if you are mature and into this kind of writing. If not, you could easily fast forward through those pages and still enjoy the book. Which I do recommend. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to the next one of her books I pick up.

Dirty Kisses and Conflicting Wishes is the first book in the Kiss Me series by Danielle Jacks. It’s the first time I had read any of this author’s work but I was intrigued by the blurb and decided to give it a go. I’m glad that I did as I enjoyed this book and will definitely read more from this series and this author.
In this book we get the story of Zoe Merrill. She’s just broken up with her boyfriend which has resulted in her losing her job and her home, so she’s pretty desperate. But a chance meeting with her brother’s ex-best friend Damien leads to a whole new life for Zoe.
I really enjoyed reading Zoe and Damien’s story. It’s quite a short book so I devoured it in a few hours. With Damien as her fake fiancé, Zoe’s life is pretty much turned upside-down but this makes for a great entertaining read which had me hooked and desperate to know how it all worked out.
There’s a lot of fun moments in the book as Zoe and Damien try to fight the attraction that they both have for each other.
This is a great read that I’d recommend.

Kissing Scars by Jim Shomos a sweet and funny five-star read. This was my first by this author and I hope not my last, the writing style was nice, and the flow kept me hooked, the emotions running through this story will astound you, its raw and emotional and at times will suffocate you, and then in others chuckling and smiling with them. This was surprisingly short, it seemed like I had just started and then I was halfway through. But that did mean that you could enjoy the story.

Oh my I really loved this book. This contemporary romance about Leo & Sanaya is breathtaking. It is romantic overload with these two. Sugar & Spice by Phoebe Alexander provides some very steamy romance scenes while you root for Jolie Cox to get what she has deprived herself from for a long time. As a single mother of two children, who works two jobs, who doesn’t have much time to herself until she meets Marcus Young. She lets herself experience things she hasn’t in a long time. But is there deception in the air?

I highly suggest you read the first book as well as it is just as great. This is a well written story about Nya and King and the past they had and the future in front of them. They are relatable and made the story come to life. I enjoyed their growth and the chemistry they share. They made such great characters. Nya and King had a past but now as adults, Nya is faced with the lies she told and her new room mate who happens to be King. What will fate have in store for these two? I highly recommend reading this book to find out.

Courage of Us is the story of Patience and Duke, teenage best friends, who both want to be more but as most teenagers do, they don’t communicate that to each other and life takes them on different paths.
Fast forward a few years, Duke returns to town after years away in the Marines and is trying to find his way in civilian life again. He is determined that Patience is going to be a big part of that. He wants her back in his life! Patience however, is also trying to find her way in the world after a bad and emotionally abusive marriage. So the big question becomes can they find their way to each other and finally be together they way they should have been all these years??? or is the pain of the past too much for both of them to make it possible.

Courage of Us by Brooke May is a wonderful read by a very talented and creative author. Her characters have heart and depth. I am really hoping that there will be more books to follow and soon. Please tell me Ms May that Chase, Holt, Decker and Ryder are going to get stories too?

Miss Understanding (The Miss Series Book 1) AUDIO BOOK by Aubrey Bondurant – Review by Alexandria Richard

4 of 5 Stars. A fun and cute office romance read.

It lives up to its title with Miss Kendall Tate being the “understanding” and dutiful Assistant to lawyer hot shot Liam Davenport, who is an ass. Also lives up to its title with there being many misunderstandings between the two along the way. From what’s expected to the intentions of each other, there was a lack of communication at times that lead to more drama ensuing.

I enjoyed the main characters with their complex backgrounds and personal baggage to overcome. I also appreciated the slow buildup of romance throughout the novel, building the sexual tension. I loved the supporting characters and their interaction with the MCs and heckling them about if they were together or not. Made it feel even more realistic.

I liked that there was the back and forth narration, with Kendall being read by a female, Ariel Royce, and Liam read by Christopher Rourke.

Kissing Scars is an absolutely beautiful novella! This was my first book by this author so I wasn’t really sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised! This isn’t by normal go-to but I’m so glad I picked this one up, everything about this novella was poetic. The author wrote with so much detail, from the smallest thing to the most important, everything was so detailed that I was able to paint a clear picture in my mind, which made it such a joy to read.

I look forward to reading more from this author in the future!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First off, this book is intended for 18+ so if you have a problem with “mature” scenes this book my may not be for you. This is not Erotica but there are some mature scenes throughout. Second, this book was written in British English, meaning British phrases and spellings was used throughout. Third, this book is the first in Jacks “Kiss Me” series, but it is a stand alone novel.

Dirty Kisses and conflicting wishes by Danielle Jacks was a very entertaining read. The first night I started this book, I planned on reading one chapter before bed. Before I knew it I was five chapters in. If it wasn’t for the need of sleep for work I would have read this book in one sitting it was so good.

Jacks brought Zoe Merrill and Damien Chukes sizzling relationship to life with such force that their chemistry jumps of the page, or screen since I read this one on my kindle. What starts as a fake relationship benefiting them both quickly turns into a sticky, emotionally complicated mess of feelings. I have to say, I enjoyed the character building journey that Jacks took us on in this novel.
