Moonlit Whisper: An Irish Romance (Moonlit Destination Series) by Amy McKinley – Review by Michelle Austin

Moonlit Whisper (An Irish Romance)Moonlit Whisper by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Moonlit Whisper (An Irish Romance) by Amy McKinley was a great 5 star second chance romance. This is a short read that you won’t want to put down until you’re done.

Flo is a tutor and when her father asks her to tutor one of his new players she was shocked to see who it was. Connor is back for his senior year of college and to play football. The biggest bonus is that Flo is also there, the main reason for his return. Problem is, Flo is seeing Lach. Lach, Flo and Connor were all neighbors and grew to be very good friends when they were younger.

Will Connor be able to convince Flo to come back to him? Will she understand why he left?

There is so much more to this read. We get a slight backstory of these two when they were younger and a look into the heartbreaking childhood that Connor endured. Now he’s back to reclaim the one true love of his life. I really liked Connor and Flo, all of the other characters added a great element to the story. I actually would have liked to get a little more to this story, it was over too soon. If you’re looking for a great 2nd chance romance this is the book for you. 1-click and get started today.

By K.G. Fletcher

☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆

This is a fully loaded Second Chance at Love Romance.

The story of two kind hearted people who have lost their loves to death. Ginger was a happily married woman to her High School sweetheart. Until the day her husband tied. All she has left is her beautiful baby girl Daisy. She has many friends who stand by her side, and support her while she goes through the grieving period. Dr. Jonathon Walden struggles to carry on after his wife dies. He has picked up and moved to a small town. Where he starts his new journey. Ready Set Go! Get this book started, you won’t be disappointed.

K.G. Fletcher has done it again. I fell in love with Ginger and Jonathon right from the start. This the second book in this series picks up where Book 1 ended.. Adding 2 new characters makes for twice the story.  K.G. Fletcher has written this story to draw you in and keep you reading. Or in my case listening to the narrator read the book for me. No cliffhangers, so it is okay to read this story as a standalone. But there is so much more in the waiting. No spoilers will be found in this review. Well done K.G. Fletcher! Well Done! I’m waiting for the next book in this amazing series of Reigning Hearts.

Such a feel good Christmas story! Corporate Christmas is a novel written by Bernadette Marie. Marketing assistant Chloe is on her way to the promotion she has been working her entire career for as account manager. That is until Jason appears and is introduced to her as the new account manager. Chloe continues to fight and lands the company’s biggest account. But somewhere in all of this an attraction has sparked although she tries to fight it every step of the way. There are so many twists and turns and your emotions go on a serious roller coaster, this book is great! Especially for a Christmas book. This is definitely a must read for the holidays! The characters work really well together. This is a believable story and one that you just fall right into. This was definitely a page turner. I couldn’t put it down and didn’t want to! I have never read this author before but I am truly excited to see what else she has!

If you’ve ever known grief but believe in starting over, this is the read for you. The characters are relatable and lovable. You would never have imagined Ginger’s pain unless you’ve been through grief yourself. Ms. KG Fletcher grabbed the reader’s details around the topic of grief and healing in some of the most beautiful words and ways in this book.
The way these characters come together through traumatic circumstances is what makes this book romantic and a page-turner but inspirational to weather the storms of life.

Moonlit Mirage (A Cook Islands Romance) AUDIO BOOK by Amy McKinley – Review by Jenique Bornman

Amy McKinley has definitely made a new fan out of me with this action packed short story, and at to that Regan Brown as the narrator and you have gold in this one and a half hour listen.

The characters are really well developed, especially for a Novella and the storyline has so much packed into this short story.
I’m definitely checking out the rest of this series.

Moonlit Whisper by Amy Mckinley was a really good, quick read! I was instantly engages from the first page, and I enjoyed the fast paced story telling and characters in the novel. My only complaint about the novel however, is the fact that it was a little too fast paced. I wouldn’t have minded some extra details about some of the events that transpired in the novel, and a little more background on past events. She did a great job story telling the past events and the whole story, but to me it would have been much better if it was a little more slowed down. It honestly felt a little rushed. But I really enjoyed reading this story. It was quick, and it had a happy ending. I really enjoying reading books from this author!

Moonlit Whisper by Amy Mckinley a fab four-star read. This is in an Irish Romance in the Moonlit destination series, but you do not need to have read the others, they all tell their own stories. This trio will pull you into the story, they will have you wondering, which was will you get pulled, the old the new, the one who ran away or the one who stayed? Just like always this author pulls you into the story and makes you a part of the story.

Irresistible Christmas – Pets to the rescue by Tamara Ferguson a woofable four-star read. This has some great stories in it, as do all of the collections that Tamara Ferguson puts together, I really like the way they bring the military to the story and always mange to bring great characters together making you care about them in such few pages. Kinley and Jake will suck you in and when you add puppies as well, well then you just have a winner. Melt my Heart was another one that actually melted my heart. There are many stories that will capture your heart and many that will melt it also.

I really loved this collection of books. They are all uniquely different but they all contain romance and animals and the spirit of Christmas.

One of my favourites is Two Hearts Christmas Rescue by Tamara Ferguson. I love the way the author writes and how you get completely immersed in the story.

Kinley is the Veterinarian at Crystal Rock Animal Shelter. She works there and is also looking to set up a training place for wounded war veterans. She loves her job. Christmas for her has always been a hard time full of grief and sadness but this year she plans for it to be different.

Jake Ryder is an agent sent to Crystal Rock to hunt down a criminal. To help him blend in he gets a job at the animal shelter.
The connection between Jake and Kinley is instant with both feeling the pull.
Can they let go of the pain of the past and open themselves up to love. Will the magic of christmas help them create the romance?

I read this book a few months ago and when I saw it on Audio i just had to grab it. I have just recently started listening to audio books and going back and grabbing them from some of my favorite authors has made me look forward to so many more.

So after reading Covert Threat and the little snippet at the end about finding out what Hannah was up to I had to grab this book. This is kind of a part of The Gray Ghost series with a few of the characters crossing over, this was a super quick read that was full of all kinds of content, leaving out all the extra info that is normally a part of longer stories, yet still contained everything you expect when reading anything by this author. It jumped right in (lol you’ll understand why that was kinda funny when you read it) and had me on the edge of my seat right from the get go. Completely curious where this newer series will go, not sure if it will still be part of The Gray Ghost or what this author has in mind but I’m completely ready to find out because I love this all taking place in The Cook Islands, I could almost visualize everything that was mentioned in this story.

Loved it!

This was a lovely short romance story. The characters are well written and the book was well written and complete for a short story.

Fiona and Connor were sweethearts. They thought they would be together forever that is until Connor leaves with his mum.

Heartbroken Fiona does the only thing thing can and moves on with her life. Now she is engaged to Lachlan and everything seems to be well until Connor arrives back in her life.

Who will she pick? Is the love between her and Connor to strong to deny? Or will her relationship with Lachlan survive.

This book was a quick and easy read! I think it it was a longer length you really could connect more with the characters, but that’s hard in a short story. i think that the authors writing style is fun and smooth and I can’t wait to read some of her longer books to get an even better feel:) if you like a short story, with some office romance, and a little heat than you will love this one.

If you are looking for feel-good stories about Christmas, relationships, and pets, look no further because this is the anthology for you. I especially liked Two Hearts Christmas Rescue by Tamara Ferguson. This book is about Kinley and Jake. They are in need of some help. There are some pets that need some help too. Kinley and Jake have not been able to celebrate Christmas for a couple of years due to some losses that they have suffered, Jake had a crush on Kinley in high school. He is back from his time in Afghanistan. Will Kinley take a chance with Jake? Can a group of animals bring them together? Will Christmas magic come alive and bring Jake and Kinley together? I highly recommend this book and all the books in this anthology.

Stars Fall From the Sky (Reigning Hearts Book Two) AUDIO BOOK by KG Fletcher – Review by Meg Tyrrell

This is book 2 in the reigning hearts series, and I have read book 1. I am all about reading them in order, but you don’t have to in order to enjoy this story. I’m going to be honest with this book. When I read the e-book for Book 1, it was amazing and i couldn’t put it down. I started this book and the first 3 chapters broke my heart. I didn’t finish it. When I saw it was out on Audiobook, I decided to just go for it. The narrator was amazing and did the story such justice. I cried a lot during this book, but also got my happy ending as well. It was a great book and I’m mad I didn’t finish it sooner.

I could NOT put this book down! From the very first page it had me invested and the more I read the more I had to carry it with me wherever I went to try to grab a few pages here, a few pages there. The characters are flawless, Adeline has just enough spunk and Stone has just enough manly grrr. The author did a great job of making them relatable and oh my goodness so funny! I fell in love with Adeline’s events and couldn’t wait for the next mishap. This story has humor, sexiness, a little mystery, romance, and fun. The secondary characters were just as impressive and I will be praying daily for this author to write more about these two. One of my favorite 2020 books I’ve read. If you like a strong heroine, laugh out loud moments, a realistic true relationship, and a little put the other person in their place story, this is the one you want to get.

Short, sweet and to the point, I like it! I really enjoyed this story, the characters were easy to fall in love with and relate to. I didn’t like Lach from the beginning, he seemed like such a douche, and the way he kept bringing up being there for Fiona when her mother passed made me think he looked at that as the reason why Fiona should be with him over Connor. Connor is heartbroken that he has to leave Fiona to follow his mom, but he was young and really didn’t have a choice. I can understand Fiona went through a hard time and the only person she had with her was Lach but, it was kind of annoying that she held that over Connor for most of the story. She knew what he was dealing with in his life, knowing how he was treated by his father growing up but, that made the story more interesting. I can’t wait to see what comes next with this author.

I tend to stay away from Christmas books because it’s not my favorite, but the synopsis convinced me to give it a try and I’m so glad I did.  It’s Christmasy but not overboard.

Chloe is like a lot of professional women busts her butt only to get overlooked for the big promotion,  but this time it worked in her favor.

Jason walked into the new job not knowing what to expect.  He got more than he bargained for in the best way.

Ms. Marie is a new to me author though she has released several books.  I’m so glad I didn’t avoid this Christmas book and have discovered a new author.

Office Mistakes by Beth Hale – Review by Angela Hayes

Office MistakesOffice Mistakes by Beth Hale
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3 Stars

Office Mistakes is a Christmas office romance by Beth Hale. I hadn’t read anything by Ms. Hale before beginning this book, so I was intrigued by what I might find. I thought the premise of the story was good, but after finishing it I felt that the story really needed to be a little longer in order to have more depth and development.
This being a novella really didn’t allow time for me to connect with the characters, so I didn’t invest in them and the story the way I would have liked. I felt that there could have been less time spent on ‘setting the scene’, describing gifts, dinner, rooms etc- as some of that time could have been spent on developing and driving the story, as well as giving the characters more depth.
I also thought that some of the language used in describing the sex scenes was a little old fashioned, and to me, there was an awkwardness about them. I felt like they were so short and undescriptive, compared to the rest of the story, that they may as well be left out, close the door completely so-to-speak, better putting that time into building the connection and romance part of the story instead. Descriptions like, “Charlie bucked as she took him into the warm cave of her mouth”, didn’t seem sexy or erotic to me- warm cave? Sorry, but I thought there could have been a thousand other, more descriptive and more enticing and sexy words to be used.
But then, it could just be me. I am not an author, and I do appreciate the time, effort, heart, and soul that an author puts into their work- but to be honest, I felt that the author missed an opportunity to make this a really stellar and entirely memorable read. Instead, this story fell short for me.

Sorry, I really did want to love this book much more than I did.

Thank you, Beth Hale.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I thoroughly enjoyed this anthology of Christmas romances set in the season of miracles and full of the spirit of Christmas. Each heartwarming, romantic, steamy story had me hooked and this was the perfect collection of contemporary romances to read over the festive period. As a fan of Tamara Ferguson I was looking forward to her story, ‘TWO HEARTS’ CHRISTMAS RESCUE’ and I was not disappointed. For Kinley and Jake Christmas has been a time of loss for them both and so neither has celebrated for years. Then a gang of needy rescue pets help Kinley and Jake to rescue each other’s Christmas and maybe even fall in love. In ‘MISTLETOE MAGIC’ by Natalie Ann, Robin and Brian need the magic of Christmas to help them discover what is hiding in their hearts. Suzanne Jenkins ‘BAYOU CHRISTMAS’ introduces us to Maggie who’s discovery under Bayou Cottage could change her life. A mother dog and her litter bring Maggie and the local handsome veterinarian together. In ‘CANDY’S CHRISTMAS WISH’ by Cynthia Cooke, Candy is about to loose her house, her business and her dog and could really do with a Christmas miracle but can the guy who broke her heart, Lincoln, provide one. In Alicia Street’s story ‘MELT MY HEART’ a mysterious letter and a rescue mutt bring two people who have given up on love, Wynter and Caleb together. In ‘PLAYING SANTA’, by Stephanie Queen, football player Sean Patrick not only rescues a puppy whilst dressed as Santa but also rescues a struggling beauty and her son. The last story by Traci Hall ‘A SNOWY SEASIDE CHRISTMAS’ brings a doctor and his patient, who has been shot whilst on duty, together but both Gemma and Bryce need to forget their pasts and take a chance on love. This was an enjoyable and engaging anthology which I was totally immersed in and could not put down. Each story had a real feel good factor and the whole collection put me in a festive mood, ready for Christmas.

Chloe Richardson is a lady with ambition and puts the work in to get what she wants, she has just missed thanksgiving so that she could finalise the contract of her biggest client to date and hopefully land the promotion she has been working towards, plus she has the mother of all headaches, she has been out of the office briefly to look at the window decorations and festivities, including something she has on top of her Christmas list, she is now preparing the last bits of the contract, two of her bosses come into her office, one to ask how she is and how her thanksgiving was, the other to badger her about the contract. All of a sudden, another voice interrupts her, it is an attractive man with dark hair and blue eyes which make her choke on her painkiller, after he offers her his bottle of water, he introduces himself as Jason Mitchel and asks to see her boss, l and so she takes him to see the second one, however, when he says what he is there for, she is reeling, it is the job she was angling for, he then gets hurried out of the door to go to dinner with the boss, this is the last straw for Chloe, she rips up the contract, leaves the office, packs a bag and heads straight to her mums in the most festive town she knows, Aubrey Heights.

Jason is wondering why his reception at his new job was frosty at best and why he had been hired, he is also thinking about Chloe, why she may have passed up the opportunity he now has, but also in a non-work related capacity as well, this is something he doesn’t want to happen after last time. Meanwhile, as Chloe arrives at her mum’s house, she is waiting with a cup of tea and ready to listen to all that has happened, Chloe tells her everything and listens to her advice in return, after that, she goes to bed and decides to enjoy her Saturday with her family.

Jason wakes the next day and goes for a run before choosing how he would spend his Saturday, he receives a call from his mother and after talking to her about arrangements for christmas, decides to go through the stuff he brought from his old office and decide what he was going to keep, mainly to keep his mind off of the other person who keeps calling him. After a good night’s sleep, she wakes up to family, waffles and being questioned as to why she hasn’t settled down.

After heading home early on Sunday morning due to realising that she made a mistake shredding the contract and after a phone call from the woman in charge of the company this contract is dealing with, she goes back to the office on Sunday to reprint it, finish up the corrections and personally hand it in on Monday. While she is there Jason happens to be setting up his desk and hearing someone else there goes to investigate, but startles Chloe and she ends up throwing a stapler at his head and taking him to the emergency room for stitches, this takes hours and is where they start to talk properly to each other and get to know the other a bit more, they discuss the contract then end up working together to repitch it the next day, but Chloe is still annoyed that she has been passed up, so goes to the client without him, much to Jason’s annoyance.

This is just the beginning of the trouble which Chloe and Jason find themselves in on the run up to Christmas, one thing after another happens and nothing is what it originally seemed, but can Christmas bring the miracle that they both want, or will the water flowing under the bridge break it down before they have the chance? The only way to find out is to read their story and experience it with them.

Office Mistakes is a short, hot and steamy contemporary romance by Beth Hale. It’s the first time I’ve read any of this author’s work but I don’t think that it will be the last as I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I devoured this book in one sitting and although short, the author has managed to pack quite a bit into the story.
It’s a great office romance and the story flows along at a quick pace. I loved both of the main characters, Audra and Charlie. Both have been working together for 2 years and have both admired each other from afar and now both are up for the same promotion. So what happens when they hook up together at the office Christmas party?
Well, what happens is a great story that kept me hooked from the beginning to the end. I became invested in these characters and wanted to know how things would turn out for them. I was really hoping that they would get the HEA that they deserved. Did they? Well, I’m not going to give away that spoiler. If you want to know how their story turns out then I recommend that you give Office Mistakes a chance.
