I had absolutely no expectations going itm. The synopsis caught my eye, but since Ms. Hanna is a new to me author I was clueless on what to expect.
Well, I wish I had found her sooner. I throughly enjoyed this book and I love Jules. She was spunky and didn’t put up with any crap from Adam. I always love reading about an Alpha man falling head over heels.
There was a little bit of everything in this book. Romance, extremely hot moments, humor and of course angst.
I will be stalking this author to keep up with what she releases next.

I’ve just finished this book and wow! I loved it! From start to finish, it kept me wanting more. One little lie becomes a huge mess as Zoe introduces Damien to her family as her boyfriend and he in turn claims to be her fiancé. They both get sucked more and more into the tangled web of lies they’re creating. The characters are very relatable and I loved that we got to see both Damien and Zoe’s perspective. This is definitely a well written romance with characters that will make you laugh, cry, and get frustrated at. This is my first book by this author, but I can tell you it certainly won’t be my last!

This is the first book in the spicetopia series and the second that I have read of from this author. One thing about this author is that you are going to be reading some graphic scenes. Like holy hell, girl get-it scenes. So if you aren’t into that I would not recommend this author for you. While the sex scenes are wide eyes and fan-worthy the overall story is enjoyable. Jolie and Cy’s chemistry is wow. But can they both keep that spark when all their secrets are revealed? That is the true question.

Kissing Scars by Jim Shomos. I loved this book. It was a little different from the romantic comedies I usually read but it was so good. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. Its the story of Sanaya a computer games designer who moves to Australia in search of love and a family. Once she arrives she meets Leo and they fall in love. The only problem with that is, he is 20 years older than her and has 3 almost grown kids and he does not want anymore kids. Is Sanaya ready to give up her dream of having her own kids? Leo is at a point in his life where he wants to be a magazine writer and travel and doesn’t see anymore children in his future. Will Sanya and Leo be able to make it work? This book will rip your heart out and put it back together. Be prepared to read it from cover to cover once you begin!

Hes very cocky that Domic. Zoe I like how we get to go through each of the characters POV. I like Damien he’s seem a canny bloke but wow he’s got some imagination. This is a short but really good romance story. These two show a real romance and what a real life relationships is like. Highly recommended this series.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author but, will not be the last. The author won me over with this read. I loved it, loved the characters and the way the book just flowed. I did want to punch Adam a time or two but hey, it’s not a great read without that. Jules is such a sweet fun loving character but she is one feisty thing and she doesn’t take anyone’s garbage. She gives it as good as she gets it. When she spots a tall dark and handsome guy at her local bar she never expected what would happen next or what would happen on her first day at her new job. This was a great read!!! I cannot wait to read more by this author…..soon!!

Love Unexpected by Marina Hanna was an unexpected adult office romance read that I was hooked on after the first chapter.
Adam Foster is your typical alpha playboy, knows what he wants, and in no way does he want a “relationship”. But after a kiss with a stranger and finding out that said stranger is his new employee, he’s thinking of changing his ways. Jules is a confident woman ready to start her new job but she wasn’t ready to find out that Mr. Hot-as-F is her new boss. Can Jules fight her feeling for Adam or does she give in to her boss?
Fair warning – Adam Foster is a curded dirty talking male who will set fire to the pages and have you needing a cold shower. Looking forward to more books by this author, highly recommend checking out this author.

Love Unexpected is a fun, contemporary romance from Marina Hanna. It was my first time reading this author’s work so was unsure what to expect but the blurb attracted me so I decided to give it a go. I’, really glad that I did as I really enjoyed this book and can add a new author to my list. When a very handsome stranger kisses her in a bar, Jules can’t get him out of her mind but knows she’s unlikely to ever see him again. That is until she starts her new job on the Monday morning and finds that the very handsome Adam is her new boss. Only the company has a no fraternization policy. Is boss Adam going to break his own policy as he can’t get the gorgeous Jules out of his head? I really enjoyed this story. The Monday morning meeting is awkward and funny. The writer has a way of pulling you into the story from the very start and keeps the momentum going. It’s not a very long book and I devoured it in one sitting of a few hours. It’s a very entertaining read with I thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely recommend that others read. Go on, take a risk on an author you’ve not read before.

This was my first time reading a book by this author. it was a novel that you can read thru very quickly. You knew you were in for a good read when the two main characters first laid their eyes on one another.
I quickly read into Cy’s and The Red Velvets Queens attaction. It wsant forced at all and felt very natural but in the sense that left you wanting more, as I read on those steamy moments with the rught amount of anticipation and desire was added to the mix, I honestly loved the good steamy moments. But there was so much to the bok than just that, the character development was defiently there and it truly helped as the truth of who they were and the feelings were put into play.
Cy to me well he was a piece of work but as always with me if theres a character I dont instantly like they always seem to change over the course of the book and Im always left really loving who they turn out as they progress. And this defiently happened with Cy for me
All in all, it was a wonderful read. Right amound of steamy moments with drama and the want to keep on reading. The kind of reading where you say one more chapter and still dont stop, the kind where you lose sleep and its perfectly ok, because you regret nothing!
Again this was my first novel to read by Phoebe Alexander. And it was a delicious treat to say the least. I look forward to reading the next and any other works they bring forward. This is a delight not to be missed 🙂

Dirty Kisses and Conflicting Wishes is the first book in the Kiss Me series by Danielle Jacks. This is my second read by Ms. Jacks and it has become my favourite of hers, so far. This is a bit of a steamy romance- with a fake relationship, misunderstandings, a tangled web, tension, drama, emotion, and a little angst. Zoe’s seemingly perfect life crumbles around her, leaving her somewhat adrift. But will a spontaneous decision end in more heartache? You’ll have to read the story to find out! A fun read!

I grabbed this book solely because I fell in love with the cover, I went in blind which is something I don’t normally do but because the cover was so inviting I decided to try something new. It took me just a couple kindle swipes to get into the flow and writing style of this author and then literally could not put it down! This story was so beautifully written and I completely fell in love with Sanaya and Leo. I felt like I was actually on their journey with them and their feelings were described so well I could actually feel every emotion. This whole story was different for me, it wasn’t your normal sappy love story (which dont get me wrong, I love sappy a whole lot) but there was a different feel to this. It’s listed as a rom com, and I see that but there was very subtle humor and most of it was the interaction between Sanaya and Leo, which makes sense because there was not a lot of other character involvement within the story.
There was one scene which literally tore my heart out and without realizing, I had tears running down my cheeks and my heart hurt. This was both my favorite scene and my least favorite in the story. If there is one downside to the book, it would have to be I wanted more, knowing what happened next would have been awesome, but my imagination handled the rest.
I can not wait to read more from this author, I loved this book and am so thankful judging it by its cover paid off in spades! I can’t recommend it highly enough.

It is a quick read, but it has everything that makes it a wonderful story. The chemistry is smoking, and I love the sass and a little bit of angst.

Kissing scars by Jim Shomos is a quick, easy, and sweet read. It a Contemporary romance about finding love unexpectedly- written beautifully with emotion, humour, drama, angst, and obstacles to overcome. Because this is such a short little read, I don’t want to give too much away- suffice to say that though this may be short, it packs the punch of a much bigger novel. Sanaya is a computer games designer who has moved to Australia to better her career. She might have moved for her career, but Sanaya also dreams of one day starting a family. Then along comes Leo, who is two decades older than her, with three grown children of his own and no desire for anymore. But the heart wants what the heart wants- and so this story unfolds. What happens next makes for a emotive read. Now that I have had a taste of what he can do I am looking forward to reading more of Mr Shomos’s work.

This story is HOT HOT HOT! Adam is one cocky, arrogant alpha male, but I could not love his character. There is more to why he is the way he is and he made my heart swoon! Jules, wow, she is a strong, independent woman who is not afraid to speak her mind. I love characters like this. When they get together, its the chemistry that is so hot. I enjoyed this romance comedy story. This is my first book by this author and I look forward to reading more from them in the future. This is a well written story that the author used attention to details to give the story a realistic feel. The characters bring the story to life and made the story easy to read. This story is full of emotion including a few laughs mixed into the romance. This is a story about Sanaya leaves India to start a new life and start a family one day. Then you have Leo who is a father of boys. When his son reaches 18 years old, Leo decides to pursue his dream of writing. What neither one of them expects is to find the other and what fate has in store for them. I enjoyed their chemistry and what they brought to the story. They are fun characters that just made the story for me. I highly recommend this book.

Sugar & Spice: Spicetopia written by Phoebe Alexander was so addicting I could not put it down! It follows the rich son of a family friendly theme park owner going undercover- Cy Sweet. He meets The Red Velvet Queen- played by struggling single mom, Jolie Cox.
The writing was so vivid and descriptive that I actually felt as if I was experiencing things they were experiencing. How the characters interacted with each other and their friendships with each other was so natural and easy to believe. I love how well the author portrayed the different upbringings and lives these characters have. It really makes you feel empathetic towards the characters. I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading more in the series.

This book was great. This isn’t the first book that I have read by this author but it just might be my favorite. It was was well written and I didn’t want to put it down. It was fun and entertaining and enjoyable. Emotions are high for the main characters and they had alot to overcome. I enjoyed reading their story and seeing the choices they made. This book was VERY HOT!! Sheldon and Alexis had an amazing attraction to each other that you wanted them to indulge in. It was a great suspense with plenty of turns to keep you turning the pages. Lots of suspense, drama, and action. Sheldon and his team were real professionals, but I loved how she pulled the dom in him out despite how much he tried to stay focused on the job of protecting her. Definitely a great read. Totally recommend!

Elusive: Billionaire Mafia Romance is book five in the Billionaire Bodyguards series. Yet again was wowed by another great read from the author. Such an amazing read and incredible addition to the series. The story may be read as a stand alone but I do recommend that you read each story and in order too. They are all such great reads. Each story does focus on a different couple but there worlds are intertwined together. Prepare yourself for an entertaining romantic suspenseful story packed with mystery, a little sizzle, lust, and drama. Loved it from the very beginning and until the very end. Can’t wait to see what the series has in store for me next!

I have never read anything previously from Marina Hanna but boy will I be back for more! This read was quite the fun one and it had just the right amount of steam to balance it all out. I really enjoyed the wit and sass that flowed off the kindle as I read and had me reading so fast I barely felt as if I had been reading for any time at all when that ending hit. I was a bit bummed but I didn’t feel slighted with the storyline. I wouldn’t mind more in the future of these two. They just popped so well and worked out so perfectly I couldn’t say enough good things. I really wanted to read more. That is saying a lot because the basis of an office romance is not a new trope and often one I skip lately since it tends to be overplayed for me. I am glad I gave this one a read though! Can’t wait to see what will come next.

Love Unexpected by Marina Hanna is a fast-paced office romance. When a chance encounter at a bar between Jules and Adam sends sparks flying, it is a shock to Jules when she finds out that he is none other than her new boss. Unable to keep business and pleasure separate Jules starts to fall for Adam but the older business mogul has his walls up high and it is uncertain whether he will let her in. I liked this book but really didn’t like Adam to start with, he was too pushy and unable to see how great he had it with Jules but her tenacious nature was really refreshing, she wasn’t one of those heroines who let herself be fooled by the powerful man, she stood her ground and I really liked that. This is a very steamy novel but has a good story and some interesting characters, who I am sure will have fun stories of their own.

I absolutely fell for the characters and their love story EXCEPT their differences but somehow that didn’t stop them from winning love together. This book hit me on a deeper level than just being a love story though: It was one of true love, compromising and what relationships with others are really made of. From the way this author wrote to the way the cultures blurred together made this story much more beautiful to the reader in unexpected ways: in magical ways, this book is highly recommended!

This story was short and sweet with just enough detail to keep me captivated and intrigued. I loved all of the little details and the drama and of course the steamy banter. I really liked how this author managed to create two really great characters that were easy to connect with.
This was my first book by this author but it certainly won’t be my last! I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for their next romance read!

Love Unexpected by Marina Hanna is a contemporary romance that pulls you right in. This book was a pretty quick read but didn’t skimp on anything. This is a new to me author and I really enjoyed this book!
Adam doesn’t do relationships but Jules has him feeling things he never expected. Much like he didn’t expect that the mysterious woman he kissed is one of the new recruits at his company. There are strict rules against fraternization but Adam will bend the rules when it comes to Jules.
Jules just wants a chance to prove herself. She can’t do that at her current job so when she hears about the opening at Foster Advertising she takes the chance. She has no idea that handsome stranger she meets the night before will end up being her new boss!
The story pulls you in all the way to the end. You can’t wait to find out what happens next. The characters are very well written as well. I really enjoyed this book!

I have a soft spot for the brother’s best friend romance stories. This had a bit of a different twist as the best friends were no longer friends. I really liked how the author took a predictable storyline and put a unique flavour to it. The writing is really easy to read and the characters are well developed. There’s a bit of steam and adult themes. I will definitely be checking out more from this author.
