READY FOR FLYNN, PART 1 (READY FOR FLYNN SERIES) AUDIO BOOK by K.L. SHANDWICK

Ready For Flynn, Part 1 ( Ready For Flynn Series) Audio Book by K.L. Shandwick is a Contemporary Romance that I loved listening to. The narrator did an outstanding job. I was pulled in from the beginning and kept me listening. I had a hard time stopping it, And found myself taking longer to get home only because I had to know what was going to happen next. This is the story of Valerie and Flynn. Valerie qas loved and cherished by her brothers and her boyfriend in her small town at a young age of fifteen until she is forced to leave due to a betrayal. She returns back home where she finds comfort in Flynn the man who made her have strange feelings when he vanished from her life. There is definitely chemistry and strong connection between these two. Find out if Valerie Is really Ready For Flynn? I can’t wait to listen to the next book in this series. This was my first Audible book by this author but definitely not my last. I highly recommend reading or listening to this story

I really enjoyed this book; I have to admit that I was almost put off by the length of time for the audio book but actually as I was so engrossed in what I was listening to the 11 hours went by really quickly. I did listen to it over a few days but it was a really good story and I really enjoyed it. It is definitely a slow story but definitely one worth sticking with. Valerie is one of those characters you have to get to know before you can decide whether or not you like her. And Flynn – well I loved him straight away! The narrator was good and did well to get so much emotion over from the story. I am really looking forward to the next part to Valerie and Flynn’s story.

My Lips Are Sealed (Sealed With a Kiss #1)My Lips Are Sealed by Carmen Richter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this young adult story. This is a well written story about young love, broken hearts and finding a way to heal. The characters brought the story to life on each page I read. This is an engaging story that pulled me in from the beginning. I found the characters to be relatable and made the story entertaining to read. A teenage girl is broken from her first love when he turns up dead. She goes on vacation for the summer trying to heal but it doesn’t work. Then one night she meets him and they have a real connection. But what will happen when she finds out that he is a teacher? Things are now turned upside down, will they ever go back to normal? The characters are what made this story for me and the emotions they go through. I enjoyed watching their growth throughout the story. This is truly a great story that I highly recommend.

Wow what a story! I think I was on the edge of my seat the whole way through the book, I was completely hooked from beginning to end and what a cliff-hanger! I definitely cannot wait for the next book in the series! Jordan and Grant were great characters to read about, they had so much chemistry. I loved the different twists and turns in the story – this definitely is what kept me on the edge and engaged the whole way through. I am so excited for the next book in this trilogy – I can’t wait!!!

This was a great story and the cliff hanger at the end has me wanting the second book now. The author has done a great job  with the characters. I especially love Jordan, she is a strong independent woman and knows what she wants in life.

Jordan and Grant meet in The Guard. When there is a break in at Jordan’s work, Officer Grant is sent to the rescue. The connection and attraction between them is instant.
The couple decide to see where it leads. Things seem to be off to a good start until Jordan starts reviewing mystery messages and Grant is getting threatening messages.

With the threats getting worse and their relationship getting stronger can they figure out who the stalker is in time?

After loving book 1 in this series, I couldn’t wait to read this one and revisit the Andarakis family again with Mia’s story and as I expected I loved every minute of it. I loved Mia, she was such a. Great character to read about and the authors attention to detail meant that I felt like I was right there with the characters at times. I really enjoyed the relationship between Mia and Nicholas, they certainly got off to a rocky start but I was secretly rooting for them the whole way through!
I really like this author; her stories flow so well and are always a pleasure to read. I am really looking forward to the next one!

Love by Design (The Meraki Series Book 2) by Effie Kammenou – Review by Jennifer Gordon

Love by Design (The Meraki series, #2)Love by Design by Effie Kammenou
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

‘Love by Design’ is book two in ‘The Meraki Series’, however it can be read as a standalone story but the characters do crossover. Having enjoyed the previous book I was looking forward to this instalment and was not disappointed. Mia Andarakis is Kally from ‘Love Is What You Bake Of It’ sister, who has just started her new dream job at a luxury magazine. Mia can’t believe that the man she’s had a crush on, Nicholas Aristedis is her boss however, he is nothing like she had imagined and seems to actually dislike her making it almost impossible for them to work together. Nicholas is determined to avoid any more heartbreak and so has closed his heart to love but Mia has awakened feelings in him and the only way to deal with these is to push her away. When Mia and Nicholas have to work together to launch a new publication they discover that their connection is deeper than either of them realised. Nicholas also helps Mia to uncover the mystery behind her grandfather’s disappearance. The couple have to learn to forget their past traumas and to trust in love. This is a heartwarming romance which took me on an emotional rollercoaster and I felt engaged with the likeable and relatable characters. The picturesque locations where bought vividly to life by the wonderfully descriptive narrative making me feel immersed in the storyline. I could not put this book down and would recommend both this book and the previous one in the series.

Now working on his second album, it is proving a little more difficult. Tucker hears Quinn audition at the record label, and he is stunned. This was such a gripping and deep read! I have not read Ms. Fiano before and this could not have been a better introduction to her! This book is everything my dark suspense and romance reader heart could have ever wanted. I loved how the characters felt real and relatable as I read them, almost feeling as if I was right there as they experienced the suspense. I was not expecting that ending but it sure has my heart racing waiting for book two! If you love a bit of a twist here and there and some deep thoughtful undertones to your romance, this is the book for you. I look forward to seeing what else may be available by Vivian Fiano as well.

Fake Fiancé (A Second Chance Office Romance) AUDIO BOOK by Amy McKinley – Review by Cora Ryan

I was very surprised by this audiobook; it was very engaging and captivating. You could feel their chemistry coming off the words and narration. I could not stop listening to it. I recommend this listen to anyone who enjoys heartwarming office romance. As I was listening I was cheering for Adeline’s character to find her happily every after what that meant for her, she is such a strong woman that it is nice to see her vulnerable through parts of the book.

I love an enemies to lovers story when it’s done like this. It didn’t go from I hate you, to I can’t live without you in one page. I loved the first book in this series and this one is just as good. I truly love this author and will be reading more of her books soon!

Reading book one is not necessary in order to follow this story, but I highly recommend it as it follows a family and adds more enjoyment to this book. I loved Mia and the interaction with Nicholas made me laugh out loud at times. She’s got the sass that I just love.

This book had all that you would want in a story, and I can see me wanting to read these again in the future, and I can’t forget the recipes, I just can’t say enough about this book..It is awesome!

Loved it!

I enjoyed this book. It was a grabber from the start, which is always great. The characters and plot were believable. The highs and lows were realistic, dealing with personal fears of failure and accomplishment – who doesn’t go through this in their own lives. Overall the book was kitschy, an enjoyable read, time well spent decompressing from the stresses of reality.

Anyone that loves a good love story should read this book. The relatability between Quinn and Tucker is amazing. To see two stars as a regular person in this book is just amazing. The story takes place in Nashville TN, place where I was born and raised and I was hooked. Quinn seems to be so relatable even though she is an actress wanting to change careers because we learn not everything is as it seems. Same with Tucker, like the saying goes don’t judge a book by its cover. Can’t wait to read more and see where these 2 end up.

Love By Design Effie Kammenou is the second book in the Meraki series. This book can be read as a stand-alone but the first book is definitely worth a read in my opinion.
I fell in love with the characters in this book almost instantly. I felt that the author did such a good job of creating that connection between not only them but us as well. They were engaging and so relatable I couldn’t help but get behind their story.
I have read a few books by this author now and I think this one so far is my favourite. There was so much more to it than a generic romance story and it really came alive the more you read. This author always seems to have such an effortless writing style and yet always seems to produce such quality books. I thoroughly enjoyed this whole story and I would highly recommend it.

Queen Of My Heart (Life Won’t Wait Book 1) by Nikki Lynn Barrett. I loved this book. Its a contemporary romance with some mystery. So very good and can’t wait for the second one. Its the story of Quinn Winters who is best known as the actress who is constantly getting killed off shows! She is tired of that title so decides she is going to go to Nashville to try to break into the music business. During her first meeting with a music executive they tell her she needs to learn to play an instrument and write her own songs. He sees her and instantly feels a connection so he offers to help her break thru the Country Music world when he should be worrying about his own career. His first album was a record breaker and his new album has tanked. The record execs are breathing down his back to get a new album out that’s even better than the first. On top of that pressure he’s offered to help a stranger and now he’s proposing a temporary marriage to help them both out. Will they be able to fool all the fans or will the fans see thru the fake relationship. Will they end up having feelings for one another? Read Queen of my Heart to find out!

Miss Fiano’s word building is incredible and her character descriptions will leave you feeling like her characters are standing right in front of you. Seductive Prey is full of so many plot twists that you find yourself trying to guess what the characters are up to next. Seductive Prey is the first book in this series and this reader personally can’t wait for book two, I’m sure it will be as suspenseful and adventurous as Seductive Prey.

Queen of my heart is the first book in the Life Won’t Wait Series by Nikki Lynn Barrett. I fell in love with Quinn and Tucker. They are such relatable characters. Quinn has helped support her family since she was young as a child actress. Tucker has a condition that he doesn’t want anyone to know about, being in the spotlight as a country singer. Both grew up in abusive homes, can they overcome their pasts to build a future together?
I truly enjoyed this book and will be looking to read the other books in the series especially the second book following Quinn and Tucker. This book made me laugh, shed a few tears, and made my heart full.

Love by Design (The Meraki series, #2)Love by Design by Effie Kammenou
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book truly captivated me, Honestly there was so much to love. Personally i related to the main character Mia. She was strong and ambitious but i found she was like myself…afraid to let anyone in even when the most amazing person comes into your life, despite everything your mind is telling you about not to tae a chance, you should listen to your heart and and take a leap of faith and take a chance on love and let the reationship “design” and “build itself. Watching Mia and Nicholas fall in love thru their expereicnes or their pit pats or the sad times it truly showed me that even tho with all going wrong the right person can always make all ok!

This book truly toched me as it made me think of my personal life, with my now husbamd, I was alwasy afraid and withdrawn untl i bulldozed those fears and let love be built!

Plus another note I love how Mia was Tallys sister from the first novel she wrote in the series. I loved that even tho its about different characters the story continues. Just walking the shoes of a different sibling

Honestly I loved this book with all my hearts content. It gave me joy, laughter, moments of one more chapter turning into 5 more haha,

Love is What You Bake of itLove is What You Bake of it by Effie Kammenou
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I for one, love baking imust say thats what attracted me to reading this book in the first placce. But I love to read love stories that are not super easy at first a you have to work for them and this one had both, iit wasa winner winner beautiful dessert for me,

When I did finish this book, it was like licking the frosting off a plate of delcious cake. It was done, but you still wanted more!

Kally the main character runs a beautful bakery and based on her character she is very good at it She had some hurt in her past times and it made her woried about love. She has a big family that always seemed to want to meddle in her life (this i can relate to as I believe a lot of people can) Thru their medding and thru the understanding and taking chances on what life thorws at you Kally get sto know Max. I must say the day he walkd into her shop there was an attraction that Kally herself didnt even realize at the time, Thru the obstacles its like making a perfect cake. Put too much one ingredient..it wont turn out…add just the right amount and dare I say a dash of love..its more than perfect 🙂

I loved this book, I would have loved to read more of Kallys advenutres of her life and her time in the cafe. It was a bittersweet departure to finish. Again as if I just finished a wonderful dessert and my heart was happy

I loved the character developments, the location, Kallys passion for baking and the realtuon to me for her family and her own gut feelings when it first came to love

Beautiful read and I loved it. Every page. I defiently reccomend. Its treatyou dont want to miss out on!

Fake Fiancé (A Second Chance Office Romance) AUDIO BOOK by Amy McKinley – Review by Tracy Gutierrez

First time really listening to a book, instead of actually reading, and I must say I really enjoyed it. Adeline and Stone’s story is very intriguing. She starts working for Stone as his assistant while his regular assistant is on maternity leave. She just seems to crash into Stone and from there the flashbacks begin. They feel as if they’d met before kind of a déjà vu. Then he asks her to be his fake fiancé and they start to hit it off. Both begin to have feelings for each other. I truly enjoyed listening to this book. I think I’ll try it again with another of this author’s books.

This was a really great story. There was plenty of emotion, intrigue, and spice to keep you wanting more. You have to pay attention in the beginning, so you are clear on when they are going back to Christiano and Francesca. Stone sounded like a real catch and I loved how smart and strong Adeline was. It makes me want to visit Italy even more than I did before I read this book (which was a lot). This is definitely a must read and a story you will totally enjoy! 10 out of 10!

Seductive Prey (Relentless #1)Seductive Prey by Vivian Fiano
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Oh my goodness; this book is HOT and had my attention from start to finish! This is the first book in the Relentless Trilogy and the first book I have read by Vivian Fiano, but you can bet it won’t be the last; I NEED to know what happens next as this book ends on a cliffhanger!

The Good: The characters are so wonderful. I love how Jordan goes from delicate dancer to badass chick after her training and the way her character develops. Grant is a gem and struggles with real life career issues and struggles that are relevant with current life today. Fiano does such a great job making her characters believable and relatable.

The Great: The plot is spot on brilliance. Fiano weaves a web of suspense, romance, and intrigue that you will have you devouring this book quickly and eager for more. She keeps me on my toes and drops just enough hints and tricks to keep me guessing what comes next!

The Steamy: As I previously mentioned, some scenes in this book are HOT HOT HOT. Fiano didn’t skimp out on the details but walked the line perfectly to keep it classy.

This is a great read; I can’t wait to find out what happens next in Graceful Abduction!

The storyline and characters  were great, and you definitely  go on an emotional  roller coaster ride with this book. However, I felt like things went really fast in this book to me as far as the timeline goes. But I loved the emotional  upheaval this book inflicted on me. This is the second book I’ve read from Barrett before and so far this seems to be a theme of hers, the whole emotional  upheaval thing and I honestly love it. Love by Design (The Meraki series, #2)Love by Design by Effie Kammenou
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Love by design is book 2 in the series and I absolutely loved reading this book. This is an enemies to lovers sort of read and the characters were so real and so likable. There were times where I wanted to yell at the characters or one in particular but, aside from that I loved reading this story. The author did a great job with the writing and kept her readers interested from page 1.
I thought it was odd how Nicholas just shows up at Mia’s family home like he does but, her family seemed to welcome him in each time.
Mia and Nicholas are working together on a magazine and from the moment Mia had seen him at a gala ( before being transferred to his magazine ) she thought he was the hottest thing on two feet. When she finds out she will be working side by side with him she doesn’t know how she’s going to be able to do her job. It doesn’t help that they bring out the worst bin eachother and he’s always snapping at her. Thank goodness for Penelope ( the older sister of Nicholas ) she keeps him in line most of the time.
Then the author throws us for a loop when we find out that Mia and Nicholas had both met many years ago….WHAT??? absolutely loved this read. Grab your copy today!
