Two Hearts, One Stone (Boots and Babies)Two Hearts, One Stone by Leslie Scott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When your instantly having to look after your baby niece, will Stone’s life slow down or will he find the woman to save him.

Stone is a Horse trainer and manwhore and is not a shamed of the reputation but when he is thrown into having to look after his sisters baby girl everything changes with his world.

Emmy has returned home to her grandfather’s ranch and has a mega crush on him as soon as she steps on the ranch. After a brief one night stand with Stone there relationship takes a turn as she is his sole help with looking after his sick niece.

This is the first story I have read by this author and I loved the flow of the story and the characters interactions, the only thing I would say is that the story was not long enough to get the full aspects of the chemistry between these two characters. I thought that the Emmy’s character was a brilliant female character with her smart and intelligent personal traits, although I did not have a real connection with Stone’s character I have read a lot of man whore romance books but I could not really get into him until you see the softer side to him and then as I said there was not enough story to redeem himself in the long run.

I would definitely read more books by this author as I enjoyed the flow of the story and can’t wait to read more.

Two Hearts, One Stone (Boots and Babies) by Leslie Scott is a well written romance story. This is a new author for me and I enjoyed the way the characters were portrayed in the book. I felt the chemistry between them right from the word go. The sparks just seemed to fly between them. I thought their story was an enjoyable. They aren’t really as different from each other as I initially thought. I thought this was a great short story and the perfect way to be introduced to this author. I am looking forward to discovering more of her work in the future.

Love Between the Lines is the first book in this series and I enjoyed this read a lot! As a new to me author, it takes a couple chapters to get into the groove of their writing styles and I got lost in this one pretty quickly. I love that the main characters are an author and a cover model. These two were great to read about and will be looking for more books from this author.

Love Between The Lines (Book One of the Page Turners series) by A.D. Brazeau was a really good read! This wasn’t a bad read by any means, but from reading the synopsis of the book I thought I would enjoy it more. Not to say I didn’t enjoy reading this book, it was interesting and a good read. It just didn’t hold my attention like the synopsis and cover led me to believe it would. The characters were very interesting, I loved the storyline and the content, and it was an enjoyable and interesting read. I can’t wait to read the next installment to this series and more from this author in the future!

Two Hearts, One Stone by Leslie Scott. I loved this book. Its the story of Stoney Dempsey a hot horse trainer who is known for his love em and leave em ways. He owns Smokey Mountain Reining Horses. One day his sister who is messed up on drugs leaves her baby on his doorstep he is lost and his life is turned upside down. Emmersyn Cole is a Doctor who has always wanted to start a practice in her hometown so when she gets the opportunity she jumps on it. Whenever Stoney’s niece gets sick he runs to Emmy for help and falls in love instantly or at least lust. Emmy is not in the least bit interested in Stoney because of his man whore ways but she will help his niece. The fact that Stoney works for Emmy’s grandfather is a problem because if he hurts Emmy he could lose his job but he has feelings for her he’s never had before. Read Two Hearts, One Stone to find out if Stoney settles down!

Two Hearts, One Stone (Boots and Babies) by Leslie Scott

This is the first book I’ve read by Scott, but if she writes like this for all her books then it won’t be my last. Two Hearts, One Stone is a fantastic read. I hope there is more to Stone and Emmy.

Stone Dempsey is the best horse trainer in town. He originally came to town to take care of his sister, but she left him there. She shows up a year later with a sick baby. He rushes to his boss’s house for the Doctor. The quote I chose for Stone is: “There hasn’t been a woman in my bed since the day I met you Emmersyn Cole, and that ain’t because of Maddie. You got under my skin like an itch I can’t scratch. I don’t know how, but I’m going to prove it to you.”

Emmersyn aka Emmy is back in town opening a pediatric clinic. She didn’t think she would find herself falling for the trainer that gets into everyone’s pants. When she sees Stone taking care of his niece she finds herself falling hard. The quote I chose for Emmy is: “No. I’m not. I just don’t want Pop getting his hopes up.”

Highly recommended for Western Romance lovers.

Two Hearts, One Stone by Leslie Scott is a sweet romance that I absolutely loved reading. I was drawn in from the beginning and couldn’t put it down till the end. This is a story about Stone and Emmersyn. Stone Dempsey is a sexy cowboy ,Horse Trainer that is a bit of player. Dr. Emmersyn Cole is the new pediatrician in town and also happens to be Stone’s boss’s granddaughter. Emmersyn doesn’t have time for playboy Stone especially since she had a front row view of his last lady friend. What will happen when a sick baby turns up on Stones door step? Can Emmersyn help him and the baby? I highly recommend reading this fast paced sweet romance to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

This was a lovely funny chick-lit book. The characters were well written and really relatable. The relationship between the friends is on that I recognise as it sounds like me and my friends which makes the story even more fun and relatable.

All Marlowe wants is a quiet life. Safe in her world where the only romance she has it through the books she writes. With good friends and her pets she wants nothing else in life.

Heath is a model who had decided to leave the spotlight and work in the family business. He feels its time to slow down and settle down. And the women of his choosing is Marlowe.

Can he show her what romance is like when it’s not written on a page? Can Marlowe let her guard down enough to give Heath a chance?

This is the first book I have read by this author, but definitely won’t be the last. This is a story of Marlowe, a romance writer, and Heath, a book cover model. This book dealt with some heavy issues including anxiety. This book had my emotions rolling from beginning to end. I have to say it it made me laugh out loud but also had me reaching for tissues. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the next book in the series.

I really enjoyed this cowboy romance. It has all the elements of a good romance, the womanizer  cowboy and the smart woman trying to resist his charms.
The characters are really well written that you can’t help feel invested in their story. Even though the book is a short read it contains a full story which is nice as some short reads feel like they are missing parts.

Stone is a horse trainer. He’s the best in the business at what he does and he has a reputation as a ladies man. However all that changes when 2 woman walk into his life and blow it apart.

The first is his baby niece. When she is left by her mother Stone has to change his ways from the playboy cowboy to become the little girls father. Stone has no idea what to do so he goes to the only person he can think of Emmy.

Emmy had moved to live with her Pop and open up her pediatric clinic. The last thing she wants is to get involved with the cowboy. However when Stone turns up on her door step with a sick child she finds herself drawn to him.

Can you really fight what’s meant to be? Will Stone go back to his old ways and hurt Emmy? Will they work as a ready made family?

I don’t often read romances, but this romance was intriguing: how could I not like a story about a romance writer who hasn’t experienced any romance in the two years after a bad break-up? And this book has one of the greatest opening lines EVER: “Under the Sheets was always a good time.”
Well, we’re off with a bang! Or — maybe Marlowe wasn’t referring to what I thought she was referring to…
Marlowe Bennet is a romance writer w/ a serious lack of romance in her life. She is a successful romance novelist who has two great friends in her sister Lucy and best friend Iris, a fellow romance writer. Marlowe is content w/ her friends, her two cats, and just wants to live in her sweats, write her books, and hide from her anxiety disorder. But then she runs into the hunky Heath Rochester, a cover model for romance novels (like Fabio?) w/ whom she’d shared a few steamy kisses a year before. It turns out Heath has a surprising career outside of modeling that perfectly compliments Marlowe’s own career. Undeniable sexual chemistry and fate ensue.
Again, this isn’t a typical romance as it doesn’t follow the usual trope of girl-meets-boy, snogs boy, then contrived misunderstandings force them apart. I like that we get a view of strong female friendships, and some sparkling repartee between the characters. For all these reasons, I give the book a solid four stars.

I thought the secondary characters were well written and helped to create more of a depth to the story as a whole.

Loyalty & Lies (Spicetopia Book 6) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Elizabeth Sanchez

Loyalty & LiesLoyalty & Lies by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Loyalty & Lies is the 6th book in the Spicetopia series by Phoebe Alexander. I have read them all and enjoy them. They are really unique, and while the story has overlapping characters, you could pick up any book and read out of order and still enjoy it. These characters apparently cross over from another series, Eastern Shore Swingers, which I have not read. But all of Alexander’s books I’ve read are great, so I may venture into that series next. This book was full of drama and suspense. I liked that I didn’t really figure out what was going on until towards the end. I don’t want to say too much as there was a lot of secrets and mystery. But it was a great book and kept me hooked, I didn’t want to put it down. Definitely for the more mature audience, as the entire series takes place at a adult theme park full of sexual experiences. Not for the faint of heart, but at the same time, it wasn’t so graphic that I was turned away. It was well written and like always, the characters are great.

This is book 6 in the series. I absolutely love how the author pulled characters from a different series and put them in this series. Never would’ve expected that.
Calvin and Paisley Mitchell are going to Spicetopia for their anniversary. It was a surprise trip Calvin planned but there’s no place in the world that Paisley would enjoy more. Things do not go exactly as planned. Everything isn’t always as it seems. Calvin and Paisley’s trust in eachother will be tested on this short trip. Will they be able to overcome everything that happens or will jealousy win like planned by others.
Always love when this author comes out with new books and I absolutely loved this one and the author nailed it!!! Great Characters, great storyline. Loved it all! From beginning to end, I was obsessed to see what was going to happen next. Grab your copy today!

I’ve never read a Spicetopia novel before, but this one blew my mind. It was never predictable and always exhilarating! It follows a lovely married couple who understands each other’s sexual desires and fantasies. Calvin and Paisley love each other dearly and take a vacation to Spicetopia to celebrate for the last time before becoming parents. The love they share is pure, but this trip tests their relationship in ways I’m sure they never thought possible. The story is exciting, enticing, and extremely addicting. I read it in two days. And sleeping in the middle was a challenge! I would recommend for all adults who are open minded and love a good read. I can’t wait to read the other books and series by this author!

Yet another installment in the Spiectopia series, based around a naughty theme part that is just for adults. While I’ll admit the stories in this series are not what I would usually enjoy reading, anyone that loves a good raunchy novel to sink their teeth into will adore this and the other books in the series.
Though the stories do tend to follow on from each other, they can be read as stand-alones, and this installment is about yet another married couple, looking to spice up their love life, by taking a daring vacation to a theme park that encourages you to test your boundaries and drop your knickers. Calvin, sweet and apparently innocent Calvin, decides that he is going to let his hair down and dip a toe in the raunchy world for the lady in his life Paisley. She is expecting, and before the baby arrives, Paisley wants Calvin to experience some shenanigans that she likes, far from the safe vanilla-ness that he is so accustomed to. They of course go, but obviously problems arise, when sweet and innocent Calvin, takes to the sauciness like French fries and seems far too easily at home with things that he claims he has never done before. Paisley, bless her, can’t be sure if it’s the hormones, but she is certain that he is hiding something from her.
Like all of Alexander’s books, this will get you hot under the collar. Though not my thing, Alexander always writes amazingly and brings to life some diamond characters that are so easy to relate to. Prepare yourself for more spice and sexiness than any one person can handle, this book may just burn your eyebrows off. You have been warned.

Marlowe Bennet is an author who has become used to her hermit existence. She wants to stay home in her sweats with her cats and eat junk food while she writes. Heath is a model who is ready to stop traveling and settle down. After steamy kiss a year ago, Marlowe’s best friend Iris arranges a date for the two of them.

I really enjoyed this book. A.D. Brazeau did a nice job of going into how anxiety can take over your life. I thought the chemistry between Heath and Marlowe was wonderful. Heath was truly a perfect book boyfriend. He was so patient and understanding. I loved how the book focused on their relationship, but I was sad there was no steamy sex scenes.

The friendship between Iris, Marlowe and Marlowe’s sister Lucy was really fun to read about. I liked how they were all so supportive of each other. This was a heartwarming story that was funny and light. A great book to read on a rainy weekend in.

Loyalty & LiesLoyalty & Lies by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Loyalty & Lies is the 6th book in the fantastic, steamy Spicetopia series by Phoebe Alexander. Spicetopia is an ‘anything goes’ adult theme park and they really do mean that anything goes. I have loved the 5 books in this series so far and I also loved Calvin and Paisley’s original story in the Eastern Shores Swingers Series which is where I first discovered Phoebe Alexander’s great books. I was really looking forward to reading the next instalment in Calvin and Paisley’s story and hoping it wasn’t as dramatic as their original story.
Well, it was just as dramatic if not even more, but it was totally hooked to the story and loved it so much. As hot and steamy as Phoebe Alexander’s books are, and this one is no different (it’s very HOT) there is so much more to this book than just the hot sex.
There is a whole lot more going on at Spicetopia than meets the eye and Calvin and Paisley find themselves at the centre of some major drama.
I also loved getting an insight into the 5 couples from the previous Spicetopia books and seeing a snippet of where their lives are now.
I really hope that Phoebe Alexander continues with the series as I’m a huge fan of it. Would definitely recommend Loyalty & Lies.

This is another enjoyable novel in Phoebe Alexander’s ‘Spicetopia’ series, “where variety is the spice of life”. Spicetopia is a theme park for adults where all your fantasies can be fulfilled. With plenty of spice and steamy scenes this is definitely meant for readers 18+. ‘Loyalty & Lies’ can be read as a standalone story but I think the reader would get more enjoyment by reading the previous books in the series as the couples do crossover, and the backstory to ‘Spicetopia’ is given in the earlier books. This storyline focuses on Calvin and Paisley Mitchell who not only have a baby on the way but are also celebrating their three year wedding anniversary. Calvin was a bit more reluctant to stay at the exclusive resort in the Bahamas, meant for adults only, than Paisley but once he’s there he enjoys himself. Paisley goes from being surprised but thrilled when Calvin gets into the spirit of ‘Spicetopia’ to worrying that something is very wrong and wondering if her husband may have been lying to her the whole time. Paisley and Calvin are both great characters and their chemistry really comes across in the story and leads to some steamy encounters. The storyline has plenty of plot twists that it kept me hooked from start to finish. A great mix of romance, drama and spice this was an engaging story and I look forward to further books based at ‘Spicetopia’.

Back to Spicetopia! I forget how much I love visiting there till I pick up another book, then add in one of my favorite couples from The Eastern Shore Swingers series and all was right in my world for the duration of this book!

This whole series is so much fun, each one could actually be read as a standalone but I just think you need the whole of the Spicetopia series to appreciate it! This one might just be my favorite, it could have to do with the characters I’ve already come to love but I loved the approach to this story. I love the emotions I was feeling throughout. I loved loved loved being on the edge of my seat at times wondering what would happen next. I was a mess at times, angry, scared, happy, sad.. Yes this author hit it all in this one!

Another one sitting read because I could not put it down. If you have not read any of this author’s books, you really must..You won’t regret it I promise, and I’m sure she will become another addition to your one click list as quickly as she did mine!

Loyalty & Lies written by Phoebe Alexander is my first read and definitely not my last her work just gets better with each book. The characters are amazingly written with little quirks that make them real. The description and scenery she described made me feel like I was there.

We meet Calvin and Paisley Mitchell they are celebrating three years of wedded bliss and a baby on the way! Calvin is a little Vanilla while Paisley is little spicey when it comes to sex. So, when Calvin expressed interest in spicing up their sex life, she was excited.

Calvin booked an anniversary trip for Paisley to the Bahamas what she didn’t know was they were going to Spicetopia a dream come true Paisley can’t wait to party before their bundle of joy comes.

But something happens to make their dream trip turn into a nightmare. What could have happened to this couple? Is their marriage strong enough to handle? Will they make it back home?

You will need to read this story to find out but, I do recommend you reading all the books in this series….

Love Between the Lines is the first book in the Page Turners series by A.D. Brazeau. This is a sweet romantic comedy- a bit of chick-lit with plenty of humour that made for an entertaining read.
This story captures what happens when the sparks ignite between an author and a cover model. But Ms. Brazeau doesn’t make it too easy for these two- adding just enough angst, drama, anxiety, and self doubt to make things interesting.
This is my first read by Ms. Brazeau, and after reading this, I am happy to say that it won’t be my last.
Happy reading!

Thank you, A.D. Brazeau!

I was excited to get another story with Paisley and Calvin. I got pulled in right from the beginning. These two decide to do something different for their anniversary. They decide to go to the adult amusement park in the Bahamas. Their relationship is tested when there are some unexpected twists and turns and some people that made me angry with what they did.

Will their relationship stay strong?

Overall this was a great read. All of the characters added a great element to the story. My heart went out to Paisley, being a pregnant emotional mess with all that was going on. This is a full length steamy novel. While this is a Contemporary Romance, you will find suspense of the best kind. Once again this book will not disappoint. Not recommended for those under 18 due to the adult theme.

This story will introduce you to Calvin and Paisley. Calvin is taking Paisley on a vacation of her dreams. He has kept this secret until the plane takes off. While she had not known of Spicetopia, it does not take her long to find out. He is vanilla and she is not. That is all I can say about this story. You just have to read it to believe. Have fun! I did!

Phoebe Alexander has done it again. This book was so fun to read. Your emotions will be toyed with as well. Oh and the rollercoaster ride is exactly what you will find in this romance. I absolutely loved Calvin and Paisley! They are a true couple in love. Even though the green monster may want to join in this story, Paisley trusts her husband and reads between the lines. This is a must read. Little romance and a little suspense. Be sure to follow the series, you will find it will help you to know all of these characters. Well done Phoebe Alexander! Well done!
