Loyalty & Lies (Spicetopia Book 6) by Phoebe Alexander

Loyalty &Lies is the sixth nook in the Spicetopia Series by Phoebe Alexander. I freaking loved this Romance book that has hot and steamy scenes that you will need a cool down. I’ve read several other books by this author and I’m sad because I don’t want it to be done yet. Although these can be read as standalones I do however recommend reading this series in order to get the full experience of Spicetopia through the different characters plus they kinda crossover. We first met Calvin and Paisley in The Eastern Shore Swingers Series so I was excited when I seen we was getting more of their story. These two are celebrating wedding anniversary and the upcoming arrival of a baby. Calvin wanted to take Paisley away somewhere special since they didn’t get a honeymoon. Then the story gets really interesting and I couldn’t put it down. Paisley thinks she might have caught Calvin in a Lie. Was it a lie or something else entirely? Find out what happens next in this book. I highly recommend reading. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Loyalty and Lies (Book Six in the Spicetopia series) by Phoebe Alexander was an incredible read! This one has been my favorite of the series so far! This book had me sitting on the edge of my seat for most of the time I was reading it. Not only did it have the steam, but it had the suspense, mystery and action! I honestly had no idea Alexander was capable of writing an action/suspense novel like this one was! I want to definitely read more of Calvin and Paisley’s backstory now! I hope there’s going to be more installments to the Spicetopia family, because I can’t wait to read more!

Loyalty & Lies (Spicetopia Book 6) by Phoebe Alexander

Not my first read by Alexander, but damn if it doesn’t get any better. Loyalty & Lies is a sexy book and I can’t wait to read more. Alexander knows how to draw readers in and leave them wanting more.

Paisley is finally getting a dream come true. Getting to go on their honeymoon is a fantastic thing. But getting to go to an adult theme park is awesome. The quote I chose for Paisley is: “I thought you said this was too cheesy to ride.”

Calvin is treating his beautiful pregnant wife to a trip of their lifetime. He wants to do whatever makes her happy since she is amazing. She is giving him the greatest gift of all. A child. The quote I chose for Calvin is: “Good, that means our baby is growing.”

Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

I have read a few books from this author and she alway blows my mind. This is the sixth book to the very addictive Spicetopia series. You can read this book as a stand alone but there are some previous characters in this story as well. I was so excited when I got this book I stopped everything and started to read it immediately. It only took me a few hours to devour this addictive story. I can’t wait to see what she will write next.

Calvin and Paisley Mitchell are celebrating their third year anniversary and also a baby on the way. Calvin surprises Paisley with a surprise getaway to Spicetopia. He knows that this trip is for Paisley and what she wants. Calvin wants to make her happy at all costs but will this help or threaten their marriage? This is an awesome crossover you must read.

Loyalty & Lies is the sixth book in the Spicetopia series by Phoebe Alexander. This series also seems to bring some sexiness to each couple.

Calvin and Paisley are going on Babycation – vacation before their first baby. Calvin’s surprising his wife with a trip to Spicetopia (an adult theme park) for a sexy good time, And why not add a little interesting adventure to that list. I didn’t see that twist coming.

I like how Phoebe adds some past couples in her books to keep us updated. I always enjoy my trips to this sexy island.

Another great book in a great series. I loved that I recognized Calvin and Paisley from another series by this author. This story had me on the edge of my seat throughout most of the book. These two are going on the honeymoon they never got to have. It’s their last big hoorah before the baby is born. Calvin wants to make it special for Paisley by taking her to Spicetopia (adult theme park) where they can let loose. Their loyalty and trust gets tested in this book. I loved this book and if you haven’t read the other books in this series you absolutely need to because they are just as engaging as this one. I can’t say enough good things about this author’s writing and this series. I highly recommend this book.

Loyalty & Lies by Phoebe Alexander is the sixth book in the Spicetopia series. This can be read as a standalone story and enjoyed completely. Calvin and Paisley Mitchell have decided for their anniversary to go to Spicetopia to add some spice to their marriage before the new baby arrives. But does this bring in more questions than answers for the couple? This series has always been spicy but this addition truly brings the heat. This is a crossover to another of the author’s series but I do not feel as if I have missed vital information in order to enjoy this book. As always she brings something new to the table and I enjoy how she develops the ongoing series and introduces us to another layer and element to the overall story. This is not for young eyes but enjoyed by adults. I look forward to where Ms. Alexander takes me next in her books and will wait for her next book.

As she talks to her Uncle about what happened in the coffee shop, but she is determined that she isn’t going to give up her current assignment because of it, even if her boss is making her feel uncomfortable, so at the briefing the next day, she makes it clear to all in the meeting that she will not accept any behaviour towards her which is not strictly professional and if it does happen that it will be reported. Meanwhile Ian is running a security check on her as she has intrigued him, as well as organising the teams current operations, after he has done this, Cassie returns his call and he asks her to dinner to help him out with something and to get to know each other a bit better, she agrees and when he picks her up later on, they have a lovely time, but this upsets Cassie as she doesn’t feel that she is deserving of him, but this only makes him more determined to find out why.

As Elizabeth is doing her rounds she notices that there has been a pattern emerging in admissions, when she checks it out in the hospitals records department, her hunch is confirmed that the inmates from the local prison are showing identical signs of bruising and injuries. It is after she has finished that an emergency call to a young girl being brought in with serious injuries comes in and after four hours and an amputation later, the girl is out of surgery, but she is still in a critical condition due the the extent of her injuries, but she hasn’t got time to deal with her emotions before another emergency call comes in. As she checks in on the other patients on her ward, she sees another patient in the same pattern as before, she immediately knows what to do and orders further tests and surgery for the patient, contrary to the primary surgeons report and the primary report by the jail.

Meanwhile, Martin is checking on the operation his teams are working on and finds that one involving illicit pornography and the stealing of identification to sell it, as well as the danger for his teams is showing that there is something deeper going on which they need to investigate, next on his list is a teleconference, however when he finds out that his brother Austin has been injured while on duty, he immediately flies out there to be with his family. As Elizabeth is working on Austin in the theater, Martin sends his own people out to go to the scene and start to liaise with the local officers there and start an investigation of their own when they are roadblocked as soon as they start asking questions. When an update on his brother’s condition comes in and he finds out that Elizabeth is the surgeon, memories of when they were younger come flooding back to him and he is hoping that it isn’t her, however, when it is, he struggles to maintain his anger towards her when she is so professional with him.

As the days pass and Elizabeth carries out more of her duties, she reports her thoughts about the pattern to the inmates injuries while also fending off the comments her coworker keeps throwing at her, especially when she has to attend his patients when he is unreachable and when one unfortunately passed away due to complications, her coworker is on the warpath. However, when Martin reads the background report on Elizabeth he knows he needs to see her, but when he does, she is immediately taken into custody and marched to the police station under mysterious circumstances, so Martin calls in his team to help her, but when he comes across information about what happened after he left, he knows that he needs to talk to her about what happened and see if they can they rekindle their romance, or will the investigation into her being carried out by the police put her in harm’s way? Loyalty and Lies by Phoebe Alexander is the sixth book in the Spicetopia series. This series just honestly keeps on getting better and better, with each new book becoming my favourite. I loved the intrigue to Calvin and Paisley’s story – I wanted to find out the truth just as mush as she did. I also enjoyed the fact that we actually met this couple in and earlier book. It made it that much easier to connect with them.
Phoebe Alexander always seems to know how to write a story that will completely capture your attention. There is a bit of everything that you could possibly want in each and every book. They are always so well written and this book is no exception. I would highly recommend this series.

I enjoyed this book. It is the second book in this series which is just as great as the first one. I highly suggest that you read the first book as well. This is a well developed story where the author’s attention to details made me feel part of the story. This is an engaging story that has relatable characters. Cecily feels that she has it all, a great job, a best friend and a boyfriend. What will happen when her best friend starts ditching her? She has never had a relationship like the one she has with Andrew, until now. What will happen to her when her world comes crashing down with one photograph? I enjoyed watching her growth and felt bad for her when life challenges start changing her life. This is a great story that I highly recommend. I am glad I picked up this book and so will you. Find out what happens to Cecily and Andrew. Is their relationship all that she thought it was?

Loyalty and Lies by Phoebe Alexander an adventure of a five-star read. This is number six in the Spicetopia series you don’t need to have read the others first as each novel focuses on a different couple at the adult resort. I met Calvin and Paisley previously as I have read and adored The Catch, but I wouldn’t have missed anything if I hadn’t, for me it was like catching up with old friends, finding the gossip and spice that is their life. It was so nice watching them together, growing together as their family grows.

Love between the lines by A.D. Brazeau a fun and fabulous five-star read. This was my first read by this author, but I hope it won’t be the last, as I so enjoyed the interactions between Marlowe, Lucy and Iris, they made this so much more of a story that the plot between Marlowe and Heath, although that was a great plot and not what you would imagine, there really was something there. I read this in one sitting and will certainly be adding it to my re-read pile as this jut gave me the warm fuzzies.

This series is quite the roller coaster ride. Each book is hot but the author turned up the heat in this story. It will definitely leave you panting for more. After reading some scenes, all I could think was “wow, she did it again”. These books are extremely, sexually naughty but they do have a storyline as well, it’s not only sex. This book introduces two new characters, Calvin and Paisley, who happens to be a crossover from her Eastern Shores Swingers series. They are looking for some last bit of excitement before their baby arrives but their adventure turns dangerously wrong. Can their love survive the lies and deception?

I thought it was very cool that she mixed characters from her other novels in this one. It makes it seem as if they all live in the same world. We also get to see some returning characters which is always fun. I love the characters in these books and the stories are so much fun to read. Well done Ms. Alexander!

The Executive’s Decision is the first book in the Keller Family Series. The Keller Family is a delightful family. This book is a great intro of them, and I can’t wait to read more about them. I started this book iffy on if it would be one I would like. Let me tell you – I loved it! The book starts with Regan’s really bad day. It was a funny and quirky beginning that just endeared me to Regan. She begins a new job working for the handsome Zachary Benson. She’s been hurt before. Will Zach be the same and turn on her? She is cool, organized, and professional on the outside, but on the inside, she is a mess. She is guarded and afraid, and we get to watch her grow. Will she be able to leave the past behind? Will she be able to trust Zach and the love she has for him? Find out in The Executive’s Decision!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Loyalty and Lies is the sixth book in the Spicetopia series by Pheobe Alexander.

Despite being part of a series, this book does work well as a standalone, although to enhance your enjoyment of this even more I would recommend starting at the beginning. Not only is this a great series, but reading the previous stories will make this book even more enjoyable.

This book follows Paisley and Calvin (fans of this author will be pleased to see a crossover between series here). They are happily married, expecting a baby, and about to celebrate their third wedding anniversary. Where better to celebrate their big occasion than at Spicetopia? But cracks begin to surface when Paisley grows uncomfortable with how much Calvin enjoys it.

If you have read anything by this author before then this book will not disappoint. The characters are sweet, and of course, we have spice! I can’t wait to read more.

Two Hearts, One Stone (Boots and Babies) by Leslie Scott is a sweet and sexy western romance that has all the ingredients to make it an engrossing read.
What happens when a hunky cowboy with a playboy reputation gets his baby niece dropped off on his front doorstep. All of a sudden responsibility is thrust on his shoulders and his life is upended by the unexpected little bundle of joy. Add to the mix the sexy doctor who also happens to be the beloved granddaughter of his boss. You guessed it- things are about to get interesting.
I really enjoyed this easy read. It was fun and sexy, with just enough drama to keep things interesting.
Looking forward to more from Ms. Scott.

Two Hearts, One Stone (Boots and Babies) by Leslie Scott is a contemporary cowboy romance. Leslie’s writing style is easy and enjoyable and entertaining. Her narrative gave us a story that is fun and witty, romantic, and heart-warming, amusing and yet at times saddening. This is a very quick read. It is written in dual POV which I love because you get a well-rounded picture of what is going on.

Sexy cowboy Stone Dempsey is a manwhore and completely shameless. He is about to have his life turned upside down. One thing he knows and knows well is women and horses but definitely not the one thing that will bring him to his knees.

Emmersyn doesn’t want a relationship and especially not one with the manhoe in front of her.

As she finds her way round the office and learns her new duties, she realises that it is already lunch time and heads to the hot dog stand and surprisingly has a fantastic time until her mystery companion takes a call and leaves her, again without her asking his name, however, that is all about to change when she goes into his office to bob something on her bosses desk only to find that it is actually the man from the bus. She is startled and immediately panics and starts to leave, but just as she is convinced by him to return to the office, his current assistant goes into labour and they have to rush her to the hospital. When a mystery man comes in and envelops Regan in a hug, Zachary has no idea how to react, apart from a twinge of jealousy, the same thing happens when he drives her home to see another man waiting for her at the house, he has no idea why he feels so strongly about her, even though he has only known her part of a day. As time goes on and Regan settles into her role at the firm, she cannot deny that there is an attraction to Zachary and as much as she tries to ignore it and remain professional, she can feel her walls starting to crumble, but she denies his advances as best she can and tries to remain professional, she is a natural at the job though and as she builds rapports with his team and helps him to run the contracts he has been building, he is off to L.A. to try and win a new contract for a company and man he has worked with before, albeit the secrecy he employs until the deal is completed is not something that he enjoys doing, but all he can think about is getting back to Regan and helping her overcome her worries and fears.

The Executive’s Decision (The Keller Family Series Book 1) by Bernadette Marie – Review by Stephanie Chapman

The Executive's Decision (Keller Family, #1)The Executive’s Decision by Bernadette Marie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Bernadette Marie’s romance novel The Executive Decision is the first book in the Keller Family Series. Regan is a highly insecure woman that has been attempting to recover from an abusive relationship. Even though the physical wounds had healed over the past year, the psychological effects still linger causing her to keep men at a distance. When she started her new job at a real estate agency, her boss immediately felt an attraction to her. Zach Benson is determined to break through her defensive wall. Regan’s attempts to keep a professional work relationship falters as she realizes she has mutual feelings for Zach. Will she let the charming executive in or will she push him away and stay isolated by allowing her past to dictate her future?

Bernadette Marie made The Executive’s Decision a very intense romance story. The inner conflict that Regan battles are realistic and the determination of Zach is admirable. Zach wasn’t overly pushy and seemed in tune with how Regan felt, a rare quality. I also like that there was a family-connected support story that many romance novels tend to lack. The dialogue and personal interactions are engaging and, while there are some explicit scenes of passion, the story is classy. I confidently rate this a 5-star romance story that I recommend to anyone looking for a relatable character-centered story.

I really enjoyed this romance. It was an emotional rollercoaster of  read that had you laughing and crying. The characters were so well written that you can’t help but want them to succeed.

Zach is a successful business man who’s life revolves around work. When his assistant leaves to have a baby he is hired a new assistant. Little did he realise that one decision would change his life.

Regan is the new assistant. She has a heartbreaking past which means she has walls around her and she is determined after the pain and heartbreak of her last relationship she will never fall for her boss again. How wrong she was.

This is a beautiful story about 2 people who find love when they least expect it. Regan’s past dictates her present but with the help and support of Zach she can learn to live and love again.
When her past raises his ugly head in an unexpected way could their relationship get over all the secrets? Or will it be too much for Zach to overcome?

Love Between the Lines is an easy breezy romance written in a relatable voice. Brazeau sketches her characters with ease, and in such a way that I feel like I knew them almost immediately. I particularly liked the protagonists bestie, quirky and brazen Iris, as well as her sister Lucy, she of polished fashion and sky-high heels. Together, they are the family we all want – infinitely supportive and generous to our heroine Marlowe. They nudge her to move out of her comfort zone and actively seek out the love (and sex!) that she needs.
While I loved these two, and how they played off of each other, I found Marlowe to be utterly clueless. Even when a man is pursuing her, and telling her to her face that he has a crush on her, she still lays about wondering if he wants to go out with her. I know that people sometimes have trouble recognizing the “signs” of attraction, or let their own self-doubt get in the way, but her hero was very frank and honest with her about how he felt, and she still needed the infinite nudging of her friends to believe him. The plot was easy to read, but also a bit formulaic for my tastes.
Overall, romance fans will likely enjoy this work. Brazeau has a great style of writing which makes it easy to dive into Love Between the Lines.

Loyalty & Lies (Spicetopia Book 6) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Angela Shirley

Loyalty & LiesLoyalty & Lies by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Paisley and Calvin are relaxing at there get away for their Anniversary but is it all rosy in their relationship or is something going on that neither will admit too.

Paisley and Calvin are celebrating their third wedding anniversary and before the baby arrives they are happy to dabble within the lifestyle, as Calvin is getting more comfortable wanting to experience more but when something does not feel right to Paisley she has doubts of is it the hormones or is something going on with her husband.

I am so glad that there is a crossover from Eastern Shore swingers as I loved this series and to be fair anything by Phoebe Alexander. I loved to see the insight into their relationship three years on and with Calvin so open to the lifestyle it is a real twist for Paisley who has always been so open to be the one who was insecure.

As always the story is well written and brilliantly written, as always I feel like I am within the story walking through the emotions of the characters as well as thinking I can be the friend with a shoulder to cry one ( I know its a book) but I have a great imagination. With the twists in the story it will have you delving into the book and devouring the pages to see the conclusion of the story.

You can read this book as a Stand alone but why would you not discover these two brilliant series, I would recommend reading the Eastern Shores first and then dive into the world of Spicetopia. I can’t wait to read the next instalment, thank you Ms Alexander for another brilliant read.

This was like the best of both worlds for me in one jam packed wonderful read! Phoebe Alexander is one of my favorites in the romance and erotica genres, especially her Eastern Shore series. This one took my favorite couple, Calvin and Paisley, and dropped them into the wonderful and sinnfully exciting world of Spicetopia. I was in heaven to say the least. This book was so much fun to disappear into for a while while I was in the hospital and it took me far away into a world I would so rather be in. I love when an author can create these realistic places that you feel you are transported to with their world building skills. This is most definitely one of Alexander’s strong points. I found myself laughing out loud a lot as well and that is all something we need more of in life. I cannot wait to see what else pops us from Ms. Alexander in the hopefully near future!

This book was simply amazing! It makes me miss being a teenager and a teenager in love but the thrill for me, personally, as a reader it was also the thrill that the action surrounding the characters and making them fight for their lives brought them closer together. What makes it realistic for me is the tug of war between the two characters and the development (or lack thereof) in their relationship. The back and forth between them makes me thought-provoking, emotional, intense and sensual to say the least. Great read!

I was SO excited to see this book had been released. I have adored the Spicetopia series and I loved Ms Alexanders Easter shore Swingers Series so to see a crossover of characters absolutely made my day! This book was an amazing read, I loved everything about it. I think it may be my favourite from this series so far. I loved reading about Calvin and Paisley again; I loved them both as much as I did the first time I read their story. Paisley has such a great personality and added in her pregnancy hormones she was even better to read about. I loved the twists and turns the author took the story, definitely had me on the edge of my seat more than once especially seeing’s how much I love these two!
I would recommend reading this series in order although they can be read as standalones. I can’t wait for more from Ms Alexander as always! She is definitely one of my favourite authors.
