Regan Keller fell in love with a wealthy and powerful man once, her boss. Zachary Benson is the head of a successful empire and used to getting what he wants in the boardroom and outside of it, and what he wants is Regan Keller. When Regan’s past threatens to destroy the architectural firm Zach has invested his entire career in, he has to make an executive decision whether to choose his business or fight for the woman he loves. The writing flows very well and the story line is great. This story kept me reading until the end.

Chris “Hacker” Montgomery devotes his life to his computer and his teammates. Marie Costa is part of the mafia family in Montreal. This is the second book in the Mercenaries series. It is romantic suspense. It’s full of action, suspense and strong characters. You are pulled right into the story and the author really just doesn’t let go. It is a well written book and really is a great addition to the series. You can read it as a standalone but I do think it’s better to read the first book before hand.

I enjoyed this sweet romance story. This is a new author for me and I can’t wait to see what is next for her. This is a well developed story about Stone who is all of a sudden faced with real responsibility and Emmerslyn who is finally getting her practice started. What she didn’t expect was for him to walk into her life. Now he is faced with someone who needs him and someone who has his heart. What will fate have in store for them? They are really great characters that are relatable and made me feel as if I was right there with them. It was entertaining reading their story as well as a page turner. I highly recommend finding out what happens to these two by reading this book.

Hacker is the 2nd book in the Mercenaries Series by Nadine Travers. Although part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. When I read this book I didn’t realise that there had been a book before it and did not feel that I was missing any necessary information. Although having now read Hacker, I’d love to go back and read Renegade’s story. This is a really great, well written, free flowing book that keeps the reader engaged from the very beginning and doesn’t let you go until the end. The story is packed with content and will drag you through many emotions. Chris ‘Hacker’ Montgomery is unable to forget the girl he met 6 months ago who subsequently vanished so what happens when Marie appears and asks him to protect her and her sister from their mafia father? I thoroughly enjoyed Hacker and Marie’s story. They are both great characters that you can’t help but fall in love with and want them to have their well deserved HEA. This is not all flowers and romance, This book is packed with action, danger, intrigue and mystery. The romance part is just a nice added extra. If you like a mafia romance with a bit of a difference then this book is for you. I really can’t wait to read more from this series.

Professor Valentine: A Student-Teacher Contemporary Romance Novella (Kirk University #1) by Diana Vale
This is the first book by Vale I’ve read but it won’t be my last. Vale knows what she’s doing and keeps readers interested in the book. Professor Valentine is a great start to a new series.
Cassie is a freshman at Kirk University and is trying to accomplish her dreams. She wants to work in child psychology and is working her way to it. Her Professor is not the old type, but younger and hot. The quote I chose for Cassie is: “Nah, I’m still recovering from last night.”
Diego Valentine is the youngest professor to date and he is hot. When one student catches his eye things change. He does what isn’t allowed and loves every moment of it. Cassie is the best student and a great person. The quote I chose for Diego is: “Don’t mention it. The staff do have cleaners. I just told them that one of my students was a little sick. Don’t worry, I didn’t say who.”
Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

Chris had thought all his dreams had come true, he had a sexy woman in his bed and although they had only just met he felt something between them but in the morning she was gone. Can he carry on with his life not knowing if that could have been something?
Chris has spent most of his professional career behind the keyboard and has got the nickname “Hacker”, but on a night out all that changes when he meets Maria. They end up in bed together and he feels like his world is finally complete until the morning light brings the foreboding realisation, she is gone with no way of contacting her.
After six months of searching everywhere she is a ghost and when he feels he needs to give up the ghost she comes crashing into his life with one scared phone call and then shit gets real.
Maria is brave and strong but her family is slowly chipping down the resistance she has built up, but one action will rock the world she lived in or survived in and she wants out. The only person she can think to help her walk out on him six months ago will be the man she hopes he is and helps her leave the world she hates but she needs to protect her sister as well, will he help them both?
OMG is all I am saying at the moment, let me breathe. I loved this story if you have not already realised, the characters were brilliant both flawed but still had love to give in their hearts. The relationship between Chris and Maria was brilliant, the initial reaction was pure lust but as they got to know each other and their relationship built up you got to see the smouldering passion and love building was just brilliant to read.
This is a well-developed story full of action and grit to get your teeth into. I loved that the rest of the secondary characters were invested within the mission and that their loyalty to each shone through within the writing. Whenever there is a strong leading woman sometimes the author goes overboard with the hung go attitude but I felt that the character of Maria had just the right amount of vulnerability to make her believable and someone you wanted to route for. As this is my first book by this author this book can be read as a stand alone but I am definitely going to read the first book in this series and can’t wait for more books to come out in this series. Thank you for inviting me into your wonderful world and may it continue.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and Travers’s writing. I’ve read works from this author previously and always find myself completely transported into the world that unfolds in my mind. This book was a fantastic blend of chemistry and action and suspense. Loved every page and am hoping for more in the series.
Lovers of rom coms and love stories will love this. Marlowe is once bitten, twice shy writer who lets her romantic side out through the romance novels she writes. When she wins a date with the Goldmine body himself. Heath Rochester, however, fate has other ideas. We follow Marlowe as she tries to guard her heart whilst trying to be there for her sister and her friend with their life struggles. But will destiny have other ideas? I thoroughly enjoyed this story, it was like curling up with a cup of hot chocolate on a cold day, heart warming and soothing. This was cleverly written, light-hearted and cozy. I identified parts of myself in Marlowe so I was curious and intrigued as to how her and Heath’s story was going to work out. As this is the first one in a series I’m excited to see what comes next in Marlowe’s story.

Brazeau – Review by Lizzie Chapman Gough
This is the second in the series. In here we meet Hacker and Marie. There is a ton of action and some crazy times. I wanted to love this but Hacker seems flat. Some working background would be wonderful. See him at his job and bonding with the team. He is deemed a computer expert but nothing is shown in here to that aspect other than at the gunfight he seems to want to “talk” the others down. Marie is a mafia princess treated like dirt. About to be sold off for marriage she asks for help from Hacker. She wants to fight for her rights and does show some moxy later in the book. Her personality does a 180 deg turn that threw me off. Then the ending confused me as to why they both are doing nothing.
Overall this has some good points and is a quick story. It covers the action well and throw in mafia mentality. It moves along at a fast pace that easily keeps my interest. I wish the characters were more well developed so that I could *like and feel* them.

I enjoyed this romance story that has a twist of laughter. This is a newer author for me and I look forward to reading more in the future. I enjoyed being pulled into the story from the start. The characters are relatable and made me laugh a few times. They brought the story to life. They made it fun and easy to read. Marlowe wants nothing more than to live in her sweats, write her books and spend time with her pets. Heath is ready to give his glamorous life on the road to run the family business. He is also ready to Marlowe his. The only problem is that she feels unlovable and really needs to take control of her life. They made such great characters that I really enjoyed. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what their fate is.

I thoroughly enjoyed this lighthearted fun romantic comedy novel by a new author to me A.D. Brazeau. I found this to be an entertaining and engaging read which had me laughing out loud in places. I was hooked from page one and could not put this book down, ‘Love Between the Lines’ is a contemporary romance and the first novel in the ‘Page Turners’ series. The very likeable and relatable heroine of the story is Marlowe Bennet, she lives in sweats, writes romance books and loves her cats whilst hates ‘real life’ men. Marlowe suffers from anxiety and believes she is unlovable but book cover model Heath Rochester does not agree and following a drunken kiss has not been able to stop thinking about Marlowe. Heath is ready to stop modelling and settle down to run his family’s bookstore, hopefully with Marlowe by his side. Marlowe’s best friend Iris and sister Lucy are also wonderful characters who all bring something different to the storyline and I look forward to reading their own stories. This book is full of love and laughter and is a sweet and heartwarming novel. I fell in love with the characters who are bought to life by the authors descriptive narrative, which made me feel immersed in their story. I liked how honestly and sympathetically Marlowe’s anxiety was discussed throughout the book and how supportive her family and friends were. The chemistry between Marlowe and Heath came across in the story and I liked how their relationship developed as the story went on. This was a great read and I am pleased to have discovered a new favourite author in A.D. Brazeau.

This is a short sweet romance story. Marwole and Heath are two I won’t of put together. Marwole shows alot of signs of anxiety and some which are onwards to chronic anxiety. Heath is an extremely sweet character and is extremely supportive in his role The author does a fantastic job of dealing with anxieties with this situation. Iris is a breath of fresh air.

The Executive’s Decision by Bernadette Marie is the first book in the Keller Family series. This is a sweet book with relatable characters in it. I think there were certain parts to the book where the story could have used a little more detail – the idea was there but the execution was a little off. However, as the book went on the author clearly found her stride and it felt more cohesive and became much more enjoyable. This is the first book that I have read by this author and although the story felt a bit predictable I thought the writing was good and well paced. It feels like the story was a great way to set up the start of a new series and introduce characters that we will read about later. This is an overall enjoyable story and I am looking forward to reading more in the series.

5 stars! Excellent! Loyalty & Lies is the 6th book in the Spicetopia series and it really amazes me that there is still so much more that can be made with these books, so many more stories to tell. Calvin and Paisley are so sweet together. I love that Calvin is so obsessed and in love with his wife, even when the 2 beautiful women, or the evil nasties as I like to think of them, are all over him, in the back of his mind he doesn’t want to do anything without his wife’s consent, and without her being there really. I was sad to learn of Beau’s roll in everything, it seemed like him and Paisley really got along and that he was a genuinely nice guy. I was sad for Paisley, being pregnant, on a beautiful island in a fun resort and amusement park and having no body to share it with, at one point I thought she was going to throw in the towel and go home, but she can’t bring herself to leave because she knows something is really wrong. The outcome was sweet and I really enjoyed this adventure, I also loved seeing the previous characters coming around. Bring on the next one!

This is a new release, and I was so anxious to read it that I picked it up and couldn’t seem to put it down. It’s a quick read once you get into the story line as I was able to complete it in about 3 hours. It’s a cute romantic story and the characters are so easy to fall in love with. I loved how the writer didn’t seem to make a relationship the goal for the characters. Instead, they had other goals and frustrations that they were dealing with, anxiety being one of them. I could totally relate to this as it is something I too deal with in my own life. The characters were likable, the book had a great plot, and it was hilarious without being that cheesy romantic rom-com. I found this book to be a fun, light, and easy to read book. It was also easy to put down and pick back up without having to remember a lot of details so I could get right back to the story. The author has a way with words that pulled me into the story and made me want to keep reading. In fact, there were some lines that I had to stop and reread because the insight from the author was so amazing. It is definitely a great book, so I highly recommend you add this to your list.

Strings Attached: A Braebeach Rock Romance by Loriana Cappello
This is the first book I’ve read by Cappello and I must say this is a great introduction to a new author to me. She had me hanging on the edge of my seat the entire time. It really felt like I was sitting right there watching it all happen.
Calla thought Ash didn’t notice her, but she never thought that an accident could cause them to become close. After sitting there and listening to him play she realizes he’s the one. The quote I chose for Calla is: “Jesus, I didn’t have a clue. Like I said, one minute we were good friends, at least, I thought we were. The next he…Well, let’s just say I will never understand boys for as long as I live. The stupid s**t you lot do is just strange. I swear you’re all aliens.”
Ashton is the rockstar who has his eye on someone from school. When he catches her eye then he knows he can’t let her go. She’s the one who would stick through all the tough times with him. Ash loves her and isn’t afraid to show her. The quote I chose for Ashton is: “I wanted our calls to be happy ones, not depressing, and I want this visit to be the same, so let’s move on.”
Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

Loved this book, the characters are great. Although it is a little bit predictable but it is still worth a read. Regan really tries not to fall for her boss as she has had bad experiences in the past and finds it hard to trust, but Zach cannot stay away and does everything he can to get close to her and break down her walls.

Marlowe Bennet only wants three things – to live in sweats, write her books, and cuddle her cats. Real-life men are toxic sludge, and she wants nothing to do with them. Maybe it’s that, or maybe bruised and anxious Marlowe just sees herself as unlovable.
Heath Rochester is ready to give up the glamor and travel modeling has afforded him in favor of settling down to run his family’s bookstore and to, hopefully, make Marlowe Bennet his.
Marlowe’s best friend, Iris, and sister, Lucy, are there every step of the way, even through their own travails, to help Marlowe build herself up and take control of her life and her anxiety with the best medicine of all – love and laughter.

Best of My Love (Love in Emerald Creek #1) by N.D. Jackson
This isn’t the first book by Jackson I’ve read and it won’t be my last. Jackson is a fantastic author and Best of My Love is a great book. The characters had me laughing and crying.
Andrea aka Dre is amazing with computers. Has been since she was little. When her mom passed away things went downhill when her dad didn’t show up. When he finally came home things really changed. Dre never expected to be back in her hometown, but when she comes home her ex comes back into her life. The quote I chose for Dre is: “A little understanding? I put my life on hold to come help you Shayna. I’d say that’s pretty damn understanding. I’m helping out the best I can and you’re bitching because you have to miss one soccer game! Christ if it’s so important come and watch from the car.”
Erick messed up big time in the past and now he’s got a beautiful little girl due to the situation. He didn’t think Dre would come home and when she does he isn’t sure what to do. Erick keeps messing up, but he wins her back after all. The quote I chose for Erick is: “What don’t we have to talk about? You never used to avoid confrontation.”
Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

Ive been waiting for the next book in this series and it didn’t disappoint! I really enjoyed reading about Hacker and Marie and the twists and turns they have to go through. I cannot wait to see which is next in this series!
Hacker: The Mercenaries Series Book 2 by Nadine Travers is a romantic suspense story. This tale is intriguing and action-packed, steamy and thrilling. It is a sit on the edge of your seat, roller coaster ride page turner. The characters were complex and well developed and likable. It was an entertaining adventure that you don’t want to miss.
Hacker and his buddies/team have a job to keep Marie and her sister safe and alive and out of the hands of the mafia.
Hacker by Nadine Travers is the second book in the Mercenaries Series. This book is an absolutely fantastic follow up to the first book. It is full of suspense and intrigue with some brilliant characters. Marie and Hacker have such a strong connection. Even after just a single night together you can feel the chemistry between them. But with everything between then they are in for an interesting journey. The book was fast paced from start to finish. You are pulled right into the story and the author really just doesn’t let go. It is a well written book and really is a great addition to the series. I am excited to see what is to come next.
Hacker was a really great romantic suspense story and one that I really enjoyed. I really like this author; she has a wonderful attention to detail and a writing style that grabs your attention from the very beginning. I love Hacker and Marie, they had such a genuine connection and chemistry, I could tell how much Hacker wanted to protect her and help her with her mission to flea her mafia family. There were some unexpected twists and turns in the story which meant mu attention was kept form beginning to end as I tried to guess just exactly what was going to happen between these characters. Overall a really good read and one that I would highly recommend.

This is a sweet romance story which I enjoyed. This is a well rounded story that comes to life with each page I turned. The characters are relatable and are created with a lot of heart. This is a story about Regan. She fell in love with her boss in the past and is determined she will never date someone she works with again. Zachary is the head of a successful empire. He is used to getting whatever he wants until now. Will he be able to convince her of giving him a chance? What will happen when her past comes to the present and threatens his success? Will he choose her or his empire? I enjoyed their chemistry. I also enjoyed watching their relationship grow into what it was. They really made the story for me and what they brought to the story. I highly recommend this book.

Horse trainer Stone Dempsey’s life is all about the ride—with horses and women. He uses his equine talents to impress the country club set and earn money for Smoky Mountain Reining Horses. When his drug-addicted sister deposits her sick baby on his doorstep, he’s suddenly saddled with real responsibility.
Dr. Emmersyn Cole’s goal of starting a practice in her favorite place on earth is finally coming to fruition and she is not going to be sidetracked. Everything is going great until Stone swaggers into her life, half-dressed with a smile that could melt her insides. She’s determined to keep her distance…until he rushes into her grandfather’s home, clutching a feverish baby, terrified and vulnerable, and her heart’s hard shell begins to crack.
In only a few short weeks, Stone’s wayward heart suddenly relies on two women—one who needs him—and one that he might not be able to live without.
Award nominated author of Two Hearts, One Stone and the Arkadia Fast Series, Leslie Scott has been writing stories for as long as she can remember. The happier the ending, the better. Currently, she lives and writes amidst her own happily ever after with her soul mate, son, and domestic zoo.

Hacker is the second book in The Mercenaries series by Nadine Travers who is writing under the pseudonym of Raven White. This is another romantic suspense- with an alpha male, the mafia, drama, danger, action, complex characters, banter, camaraderie, suspense, and sizzling chemistry. This is definitely my favourite of the series, so far. I don’t want to give too much away and spoil it for you, plus the blurb does a better job of whetting your appetite than I ever could- but I recommend going in a bit blind and letting the author, characters, and story surprise you. If you like romantic suspense with sizzling chemistry, alpha males, action, and danger- then this is the book for you!
