This is the first book in the Historical Fantasy Fairytale Retellings series. This story is set in the 1800’s in England and follows Melinda. Melinda took care of her father’s estate while he was sick. When he died, the estate was left to a distant relative. She had nowhere else to go and is allowed to stay and work as a maid for her cousin – for free. This was such a refreshing retelling of Cinderella.

This story will have you sad and happy at the same time. Chris has been through a lot. He had the Olympics in his future until a skiing accident took that dream away. He is a very strong character because he picked himself back up and two years later he was skiing again as a paraplegic. During training he found something he didn’t know he was looking for. Carly is a very special woman. She didn’t look at Chris any less because he was in a wheelchair. She saw a man and what the possibilities could be. The scenes were definitely interesting and different. I couldn’t imagine the pain and fear these characters felt. The author did an amazing job writing these characters
I found myself invested into Jake and Sandra’s story. It came off the pages so real and full of so many emotions. The chemistry between Sandra and Jacob is present from the first time they see each other. However, previous betrayal from his brother has Jacob bringing old baggage into the mix before they really have a chance. The back and forth between these characters is both raw and believable. It has a comedic aspect while also tackling some real issues that other author’s skim over. After getting through the book, I am interested to read the other books in the series.

I really enjoyed this story as it didn’t feel far fetched. It felt like I was watching a movie in my mind and could see them all as real people. Yes it has romance but it shows it all. The good and bad, the hard and easy times too. Great story, great characters and amazing writing.
Jordan’s Justice (book two in the Tessa and Jordan series) by T. Christensen was a good read. I feel like you should read the first installment to fully grasp what happens, and I haven’t read the first only this one. I got the gist of what happened in the first book however, so it wasn’t that big of a big deal. This book was very well written. My only issue however is with the characters. I didn’t like how Tessa kind of laid down as character, and wouldn’t defend herself. She went with whatever Jordan wanted her to do. Her only redeeming quality in my opinion, was the love for her daughter. She would obviously do anything for Jordis. And Jordan. He made me SO ANGRY in this book! He had tendencies that seemed violent to me, he seemed very controlling and manipulative as well. I didn’t like how he treated the mother of his daughter at all. I feel like he could have been a much better written character. Other than those character flaws, I loved reading this book! I will definitely be looking for more from this author in the future.

This was a great read. This book was full of emotion. I couldn’t put it down as soon as I started reading it. Tessa and Jordan haven’t seen each other for 4 years and since then Tessa has been working hard at trying to make a better life. When Tessa sees Jordan she knows that her world is about to change. Jordan has so much anger toward Tessa that I wanted to jump into the book and strangle him at times. I understand why he thought the things he did about her but it didn’t make me want to strangle him any less. It is my suggestion that you read book one first before diving into this one for a better understanding and because it’s also a great read. The author does an excellent job telling a great story with wonderful characters. I highly recommend this book.

The Longest Run by Tracey Cramer-Kelly is book four of the Lawson Family Series. This book, as with the other books in the series, can be read as a standalone. Honestly though, the whole series is too good to resist!
Carly has been carrying a burden for many years and she’s adapted so that she doesn’t have to get too close to people. Chris is focused on training. He doesn’t have time for women or relationships. Will these two find the courage to overcome their obstacles or will they get in their own way?
This book was packed with emotion. I couldn’t put it down. It felt like such a rollercoaster. It was so well written you could feel everything these characters were dealing with. I was really rooting for them to work out all their issues. This book was a perfect addition to the series!
This is a continuation of the story of Tessa and Jordan, it is four years later and they haven’t seen each other since, but when they come face to face at a charity event hosted by the company she works for, Tessa cannot believe the Jordan is there as well and starts to panic while hoping that it is just an illusion. Tessa blows it off as nerves over the speech she is about to give to the attendees, but her boss keeps telling her that she doesn’t have anything to worry about, that people will see her passion for her job and as she finishes it, she realises that she was right and so she goes back to the table to eat her meal. Later on when she goes to the bathroom, but in the connecting corridor Jordan is waiting for her and blocks her path, but when he speaks, the tone of his voice and the words he is is saying contradict what she remembers and she cannot believe that theJordan she sees in front of her is the same one. As he speaks to her, he brings up a past event and how she is a hypocrite because of it, but mainly that he accuses her of taking money for keeping quiet about their past, of blackmailing his mother into leaving him and as he continues, she cannot cope with all the emotion and manages to get past him and leave.
When she gets home, she is comforted by the sight of her daughter, even though she is the spitting image of him, has his personality and loves the same things as him, so when she hears a knock on the door and realises it is Jordan, she tries to hide the apartment from him and goes outside to talk to him. She makes the excuse that he can’t come in because her mother is sick and has trouble sleeping, so when she does, Tessa doesn’t want to wake her, but when he threatens her job if she doesn’t turn up the next morning, to talk to him and as he leaves, she goes back inside and tries to come to terms with what has just happened and trying to figure a way out of this new crisis in her life. She does as he says and turns up for work where Jordan is going round the office, being led by her boss and introduced to everyone there, they are all fawning over him and when he sees Tessa, he makes a beeline for her, but she is thrown by his friendly attitude towards her when Laura introduces her and when Jordan brings up their joint pass, she is a little surprised, but nowhere near as surprised as he is when her boss lets slip about her daughter and it is at that moment when things change.
When Jordan whips her into a conference room and demands that she explains everything, she tells him the truth, but he doesn’t believe her and accuses her of manipulation and deceit, she tries again to explain her side, but realises that it isn’t worth it and he won’t listen, when he demands that she goes to dinner with him, he also threatens her with lawyers, but things are about to go from bad to worse when neither of them can keep their tempers and things stall when Jordan’s demands come up against Tessa’s devotion to their daughter, but will their butting heads cause them to argue to the point where one of them loses their daughter, or will they be able to come to an agreement and give their daughter the chance to know both of her parents properly? The only way to read through this emotional rollercoaster is to read through to the end as emotions run high and viewpoints and revelations are shared throughout.

So I think after I’m not sure how many books I may have found my favourite one from this author! I was absolutely hooked from beginning to end – Stormy was such a brilliant character to read about – I almost felt like I was hanging off of his every word. I hated him, then I loved him and then I hated him again – I definitely went backwards and forward with my feelings towards him but I just found his character so riveting to read about. I loved how complex he was and I loved that I really felt like I had to get to know him – I think the author did an amazing job with him as a character. This is book 2 in the Satan’s Devils MC Utah series and it did not disappoint! A fantastic 5 star read!!

I really enjoyed getting to know Miriam! I haven’t read all of Mya’s books so I know this probably isn’t her first appearance, but I liked her all the same! Mya does a great job building her characters and setting her ‘stage’. This was a decently easy read and it had mystery and conflict in all the right places and I really enjoyed that I got almost to the end and still didn’t really know for sure where the fingers were pointing. I am not typically a paranormal reader, Mya knows this, I love her balance and structure and they way she seems to weave the characters into the world where her books take place. This was a great book, I know should go read the books in between that I haven’t had the pleasure of doing as of yet.
Stormy’s Thunder by Manda Mellett is part of the Satan’s Devils MC Utah Chapter. If this whole series isn’t something you are familiar with then I would highly recommend you rectify that immediately. This is easily one of the best series I have ever read and this book has firmly placed itself within the top, if not at the top. I always wonder how the author is going to top what she has already done – since it has been so outstanding up to this point – and yet with this book she has proved just how good she really is. I was absolutely riveted by Stormy and his character. He is one of those characters that has so much more to him than you would initially think. He is a character that you will be familiar with if you have read the rest in the series and he is a character that you really don’t think you will like at all. However the author has done an incredible job of not only making him likeable but making it so you completely fall in love with him. As with the rest of the books this one is so well written – it is fast paced and action packed but is also full of all the little details that make it so good. I cannot wait to see what else this author has in store for us and in the meantime I might just have to go back and read all the previous books again!

Matching Miriam is the first book I have read by Mya O’Malley, the cover art drew me in. I really enjoyed it, and didn’t want to put it down! It has a good balance of action, suspense thriller and a taste of romance. I love that the lead female is strong and independent, but has a soft side as well. The supporting characters are well written and the friendships/chemistry they have is very relatable. Miriam and Jesse have a past, but he moved away, putting a end to it all. When he comes back “home” they soon run into each other. It wasn’t instant reconnection, and I liked that they worked together to build the trust and relationship again. Miriam’s friend is very interesting, and I hope there is another story for her, because I think it would be a great spin off. The book has a good level of suspense, and keeps you guessing until the end. I was shocked to find out who the killer was, and did not see that coming.

This is not a new author for me. I love Mya O’Malley and her series the Maggie Trilogy was amazing. I could not wait for this book to come out. I already knew who our main character was, because I read the Maggie series. This book can be read as a standalone, but don’t do that to yourself. The main female is Miriam and she’s a detective. Our main male character is Jesse, and they are long-lost loves. This book tells their story and was worth the wait. I’m excited to see what else she’s got up her sleeve!

I am a big fan of Manda Mellett’s ‘Satan’s Devils MC’ series and I always look forward to the next book coming out and I was not disappointed by ‘Stormy’s Thunder’. We are back with the Satan’s Devils MC, Utah Chapter and this story focuses on Stormy. In the first book in the series ‘Road Tripped’ Stormy had walked away from his Club and his brothers and this storyline continues with him being haunted by his past mistakes. Stormy jumps at the chance to become a new man when he gets the opportunity but before long his past catches up with him and his life is in danger. He has to stay alive as he needs to protect the woman he loves in order to save her life too. As usual this is a fast paced story with a plot full of action, drama and great characters but there is also a romance element with Stormy meeting Cat. I loved Stormy and Cat and how their relationship developed throughout the novel. I also enjoyed both catching up with, and meeting new members of the MC. As usual Mellett’s writing style had me hooked from page one and the story being told by different point of views, Stormy, Cat and Swift’s works really well. The characters and the setting really come alive through the descriptive narrative making me feel both engaged and immersed in the story. This was an enjoyable and exciting read and I will now be waiting impatiently for the next book in the series.

Wow the Utah chapter surprises me time and time again. I just never really know what is going to happen in the story when they are involved. While stating that I really enjoyed the story. It’s not a favorite but there are many areas in here that I loved and others I just tolerated. Besides that this is greatly written and I loved seeing more with Swift and the guys from the mother chapter.
Stormy has always been a character you either hated or loved. He is argumentative, bossy and doesn’t care for anyone…brothers included. He makes changes in here and becomes a nicer guy who isn’t out For only himself. I never saw him or expected him to find someone he could care about. I think that surprised me the most.
Overall this is a good story. Not my fav but still strong and worthy. These Utah boys are always a surprise.

This story had me hooked from the get go! Set in Montana in a beautiful sounding ski resort, Carly works as a part of the ski patrol team. Carrying a secret, she is happy to rely on short-term romances, and then along comes Chris. Chris has his own past to deal with, but he’s got his sights set high and he’s ready to train hard. Romance is not on his agenda
I loved this story, it was jam-packed full of emotion and draws you in from the first page. The twist and turns along the way keep you hooked right until the end. The characters were fantastic, and I love it when an author takes the time to ensure you really get to know them, for me it makes a story so much better.
Happily Ever After: Don’t Worry, I Still Hate You By Marie Skye
I really really enjoyed this book, it was so different to what I expected when I read the synopsis. I was expecting a “cutesy” romance tale of two roommates accidentally falling in love and facing the world together – and although I did get this – I was NOT expecting the amount of steam that Skye graced us with in this story. The sexual energy between these two characters was evident from the moment we meet them both. I was fascinated by both Ash and Perrie for different reasons. I enjoyed Perrie’s “take no prisoners” attitude and the way that Skye portrayed her as a strong, independent woman while also dipping into her intimate, timid, feminine side. The contrast and the way Skye teased vulnerability in Perrie’s character was particularly captivating. I wish there was more of this book, is the only bad thing I have to say about it. I wish the book was longer and we could spend more time getting to know these two characters and their backgrounds and the reasons they behave the way they do. I would have liked to learn more about Ash’s friends and the way he interacts with them, and I would have LOVED to know even just a tiny bit more about what happened after the ending. I think Skye did an amazing job of leaving you wanting more and I am excited to see what else she has to offer, I really enjoy her writing style.

The Longest Run is the 4th book in the Lawson Family Series by Tracey Cramer-Kelly. Each book concentrates on the story of one of the Lawson siblings and can be read as a standalone but as I’ve read and loved all 4 books, I recommend that you read them all. I’m sure you won’t regret it. In this book we finally get the story of the 1 female Lawson sibling. Poor Carly has been overshadowed by her brothers and any prospective boyfriend is treated to the over protective brothers routine. I love Carly as a character. She’s loving her job, loving life and definitely not looking for a long term romance. Just someone to keep her bed warm during the winter ski season and then move on. Until she met Chris Markham. Chris Markham was an Olympic potential skier until he suffered a serious accident that left him a paraplegic. Being a strong and resilient man, Chris is still determined to continue skiing and join the Paralympic team. Chris is probably one of my favourite male characters that I’ve read in a long time. I applaud Tracey Carmer-Kelly for having the leading man in her book as a wheelchair user. It’s very rare to read a romance novel with one of the main characters in a wheelchair. In fact I think this is only the 2nd book I have read like this and I’ve read a LOT of books. Chris is an amazing character and I loved reading his and Carly’s story. I’d definitely categorise this book as a MUST read!

This is the 2nd book in the Tessa and Jordan series and is just as enjoyable as the first. I would highly recommend reading the first book as this is the continuing of the character stories. This books is filled with so much emotion that the author takes you on a rollercoaster from start to finish and your not sure where you are going to end up.
Jordan and Tessa’s relationship ended in a bad way. With Tessa pregnant and getting am abortion so Jordan was told by his mother. However that isn’t the case.
3 years later Jordan and Tessa meet again and he is filled with anger at Tessa for aborting their baby. So imagine his shock and his intensified angry when he finds out the baby lives and he knew nothing about it. With Jordan being angry and hurt he holds all the cards to make or break Tessa’s life if she doesn’t do as he says.
Can Jordan ever forgive Tessa? Will he always believe his mums story? Will Jordan and Tessa be able to rebuild what they once had? Or has too many lies and too much hurt past for that to even be an option?

It is a sweet and emotive sports romance that covers guilt, disability, drama, secrets, forgiveness, skiing, family, hope, and Love. I have loved reading the Lawson Family series and meeting the family. Each book can be read as a standalone if you wanted- but there is a lot to be had by reading all four books. This is Carly’s turn, and she has been carrying the burden of guilt for so long now- it is holding her back in many ways. On the surface she seems to have an enviable life, working as a rafting guide in the Summer months, and on the ski patrol during winter. She has no plans on settling down, enjoying her bachelorhood- or so she thought. Chris has been through so much, but he hasn’t let it beat him- working harder than ever to achieve his Olympic dreams. He is focused and determined, nothing can distract him- until Carly comes along. Being drawn to someone was the last thing he expected. But will they come to terms with the past, open up, and take a chance on love? You’ll have to read the story to find out. This was such a well written story, with fully developed and endearing characters. I am looking forward to the next book, Connor’s story.

I have read several books by Ms. O’Malley and throughly enjoyed each one of them and how several are connected and this one was no different. I’m not a big fan of ghosts or the paranormal but I find myself making sure I read Ms. O’Malley’s books when I see she has a new one. Each of these can be read as a standalone but they are connected to other books and they are referenced.
Miriam is as tough as nails as they come, but when you are a female in a male dominated profession like being a Police Detective she has no choice, but we learn there is so much more to her. She’s hunting a killer and I was floored by the ending. Last person I expected it to be which made me like this book that much more. I hate predictable storyline and this was anything but.
I of course loved seeing Zelda (the cat) and meeting the two kittens. Animals tend to be my favorite characters regardless, but when their personalities are as apparent as they are in this it makes me love them more.
I want to know what happens with a few people and I’m hoping to see their story eventually, hopefully sooner than later.

Crave (Clark Family #1) by Evelyn Sola was a great 5 star read. I was pulled right in and couldn’t put it down.
Sandra is getting ready for a girls night when her mom talks her into delivering a cake for her. What she didn’t expect was to be invited to stay and meet a hot as heck man.
Jacob wasn’t thrilled about going to his mother’s birthday party but meeting Sandra made it a little easier. These two had an instant attraction and I loved how he really tried to impress her with charm. Then all heck breaks loose and Sandra sees a side of him that she doesn’t want to be a part of and she leaves the party.
He finds her a few days later, will he be able to convince her to go out with him? Are they destined for a HEA?
Overall I really enjoyed this read. We get twists and turns and I loved their chemistry. I really felt for Jacob and the issues he was having with his brother, pure betrayal. These two were perfect for each other and I couldn’t get enough of them. It was an opposites attract type of read for me. I can’t wait to read more from this author and series. This is not my first book by Mya O’Malley and it will not be my last book by her. Matching Miriam is a suspenseful crime book with a romance mixed into the plotline. The characters are relatable and I could feel myself within their circle of friends. This book kept me on my toes. There were twists and turns in the book, some I saw and some I did not see. I will say once you start reading this book you are not going to want to stop. In other words, make sure you are all set to read this book in one sitting. We have met Miriam in the Maggie series. I love when authors carry characters from other books because it is a great feeling to know that you have a little inside knowledge of the character. Miriam is a strong, tough, and a bad mama jammer. She does not back down from anything. She has landed a one of a kind case that she is focusing on, the serial killer case Decade Killer. Not only is she having this tough case but a heartthrob of her past comes back and she is trying to juggle her life. Will Miriam be able to keep her focus with all the distractions? Will she solve the Decade Killer case? Will her heartthrob throw a wrench into her investigation? I highly recommend this book.

This is not a new author for me. I love Mya O’Malley and her series the Maggie Trilogy was amazing. I could not wait for this book to come out. I already knew who our main character was, because I read the Maggie series. This book can be read as a standalone, but don’t do that to yourself. The main female is Miriam and she’s a detective. Our main male character is Jesse, and they are long-lost loves. This book tells their story and was worth the wait. I’m excited to see what else she’s got up her sleeve!

When you have to give up the man of your dreams, then four years later your life is getting there and you are coming to terms with the decisions you made. A blast from the past comes blowing in and when he’s angry with you, can you both get past the betrayal.
Tessa has a new life and four years on her life is starting to get back on track, she still thinks about the boy she left behind but she had no choice. While getting on with life in walks a major part of her life that she thought she would never see again, Jordan.
Jordan is still hurt and angry after Tessa left and although four years has gone he still feels angry at her disappearance, until one day he walks in a spots her again. Will he be able to forgot or will his anger and betrayal be too much.
First of all, although this a great story in its own right you may need to read the first book as it sets up the story before and although this does have some detail you may need to follow. The story is brilliant, its great to see the two of them four years after Tessa left and with the emotions running high for both of them it makes a great read.
Although I understood Jordan’s reaction to the information he finds out he does not proceed in a sensible way although he is willing to listen I think he still acts like an a$$ and his family was even worst. I did feel sorry for Tessa and that she was trying to get her life together but while she is trying to live her complicated life in walks Jordan and throws everything into turmoil.
The book is well written and the characters are brilliantly created and interact, I loved the second book in this series and can’t wait to read the next book for this great author.

Jordan’s Justice: A New Adult Sports Romance by T. Christensen Five Stars
Jordan’s Justice: A New Adult Sports Romance is the second book in the Tessa and Jordan series by T. Christensen. This is not my first book I’ve read by Ms. Christensen but it is definitely my favorite. That being said I have not read Breaking Tessa which is the first book in this series, which now I’m definitely going to have to do. I think that I’m going to have to wait a little while before reading it though because this book absolutely tore me up. My husband kept asking me why I was crying, and he said a book shouldn’t make you cry. However, I think a book that brings out this much feelings in a reader is a great book. This book can be read as a standalone. There was no problem understanding the plot. This is my first ugly cry of the year, and I actually feel great after reading it. I think the characters were well defined (if not always likable) and the storyline flowed well. Even though it is only January, I think this is going to be one of my top five books this year. What a great short story! Don’t Worry, I Still Hate you is a story written by Marie Skye. I just absolutely love this author! In this story, which I wish was longer by the way, we meet Perrie and Ash. These two have known each other since they were in high school. By mere chance, they reconnected in Las Vegas while Perrie was at a Bachelorette party! Perrie thought that this was the last time they would see each other, however fate had a different plan. Perrie needed a roommate and posted an ad about it. Low and behold, who shows up? Ash! This was an awesome story with lots of steamy moments as well as lots of comedy. These two characters have a lot of great chemistry and balanced each other very well. Like I said earlier, I wished this story was longer but it was great nonetheless. It was definitely a story that I could not put down! I can’t wait to read more from Marie Skye!

Wildfire is the second book in The Broken Bow series by Ashley Quinn. I was drawn in from the beginning and had a hard time putting it down. I will say this is my first book by this author but definitely not my last. Im definitely going to check out the first book in this series. This is a story about two people who have both suffered loss of loved ones. Tara is trying to move on with her life, she’s opened a restaurant that is doing very well. Jace is starting a new job in town and he to is trying to heal his heart breaking past. These two both think the other is attractive but she has stayed away from his type. Weird things start happening around the ranch and Tara finds Jace staying over night .What does there future look like? Who is behind the mysterious things that have been happening? Matching Miriam by Mya O’Malley. I LOVED this book. I actually love anything written by Mya O’Malley so I was excited to read this and it did not disappoint! Its the story of Miriam a police officer that lives in New York. Miriam has built a wall around her heart so she doesn’t plan on letting anyone in. Her heart was broken years ago by a guy named Jesse and she is determined to never let that happen again. Jesse is looking for a new start on life so when he’s given the opportunity to become a fireman in New York he jumps at the chance. The only problem is when he sees Miriam all those old feelings come back. Miriam has a boyfriend but he’s becoming very clingy and wanting to know about the future which is a red flag for Miriam. When she and Jesse see each other and kiss its all she can do to keep from thinking about him. Jesse is consumed with thoughts of Miriam all the while Miriam is looking for a killer!
