Rose has built her business on love. She owns a flower shop where she is called upon to provide flowers showing love for all types of occasions…weddings, funerals, etc.. However, she has also started a Valentine’s secret admirer event. As she is working towards getting ready for this year’s event…the boy that broke her heart 20 years ago is now the man standing in her flower shop. Twenty years ago, Liam was forced to up and leave his hometown behind. He is still not over the events of that night and harbors a lot of resentment and anger. After a surgery gone wrong, Liam needs to take a vacation and get away for a bit. Instead of joining his girlfriend and her family on a ski trip, he decides to head back to his hometown and clear his head. Imagine his surprise when the Air BnB that he is staying at is right above his former best friend’s flower shop. While Liam and Rose find the friendship that Liam left behind, there are secrets in their lives that, once out, could ruin what they are building. There are ups and downs…there is betrayal and forgiveness…and there is hope and love. This book is written in a way that an older romantic language is woven throughout the pages. It added to the overall feel of the book…and I enjoyed it. Rose and Liam were wonderful characters and my heart was breaking and mending right along with them. A heartfelt love story which takes place at what is considered to be the most romantic time of the year.
Matching Miriam by Mya O’Malley was a great read! I was absolutely enthralled with this novel. I especially loved being thrown back in the world with Naomi again. That was unexpected surprise for me honestly. O’Malley is such a great writer, she’s able to make the whole world come alive when she writes. This novel was packed with love and romance, thrill, mystery and some suspense. It was also completely heartwarming as well. I can’t wait to read more from Mya in the future! Everything I’ve read of hers has not disappointed me yet!
This book is a great book by a new author for me. I enjoyed her plotline and her characters. The plotline is a romance with suspense mixed in. I feel like I know the characters and can be friends with them. Tara is ready to put her past behind her. She needs to move forward. Opening a new restaurant is how she is moving forward. Then Jace walks into Tara’s restaurant and life. He has a tragic past. He started to talk to Tara and wants to pursue a relationship. Will their past keep them from moving on? How will their past affect their future? I highly recommend this book to see what happens between Tara and Jace.

This story crushed me. I really wanted it to continue the vibe from the last book and it did to an extent. But then the wording got in the way. I struggled many times with the words or phrases the author used. They either didn’t fit the situation or they were waaay to advanced for me and I had to look them up. I get what she is trying to do but it made it hard for me (the reader) to keep following along with the flow of the story. Which made it hard for me to connect to the characters.
I like the idea of the story but just didn’t flow for me. The characters are cute but I only *felt* their friendship not love. Rose is delightful at times. That whole “pain meter” thing she did is pure imagination. It put a smile on my face. I loved the idea of the secret Valentines too. Again I felt something here but wanted to know more about how the it worked and the people connection. I did feel Rose spent a bit too much time in her head..going off on dreams and thinking about the past, future etc. some of that is okay but she had way too much.
The Epilogue just threw me for a loop. I was wishing it would have said “One Year Later” before I started reading.
Overall this is an okay read. I liked some things but the dislikes I had outweighed them.

Miriam is a badass police officer who lives in New York and has built walls around her heart, she doesn’t want it broken again, but she is wondering whether it might be worth starting to let her guard down and look at finding love again, but she doesn’t open up easily apart from with her best friend, although even she doesn’t know everything. As Miriam leaves for a run, her best friend drives past and invites her for coffee with another friend, but Miriam declines it as she knows that she isn’t needed and she wants to run, but as she is running, she is bombarded by memories of her childhood and things she has kept locked away for a long time, including her first love Jesse, normally she can banish them, but today is different and she cannot escape them. When her boyfriend asks her if she is now bringing her work home, she is not happy about it and when he tries to talk about where their relationship is going, she pulls down the shutters, she has dating demons and is scared of them rearing their heads again with him and when he goes to kiss her, she freezes and takes a step back.
Jesse is a man who needs a change of scenery, he is trying to get away from his most recent relationship after it ended and when the job opportunity in New York for a fireman he jumps at the chance, but the main reason is Miriam, he first love and someone who cannot forget no matter how he tries, he thinks about what her life is like now and whether he may be able to be a part of it again and he is damn well going to try his hardest to make that either a reality or finally get the closure he would need to move on. The next day Miriam is thinking about the kiss the night before as well as how her best friend is acting strangely, when she comes round to talk to her and what she has to say unnerves Miriam to the extreme.
Miriam is called into work when a homicide is reported and she and her partner are assigned the case, but the details of the murder are really unusual and they end up chasing their tales when they can’t put things together as they would like to be able to. As the day progresses and her boyfriend keeps calling and texting, it is starting to irritate Miriam and this makes her think about Jesse even more. Meanwhile, Jesse is struggling to get Miriam out of his head, so when he decides to go for a run, he is shocked to run into Miriam who is also out for one, but when she trips and falls, Jesse insists on seeing her home to make sure that she is ok, the emotions which swirl around them are more than they can handle, so she makes Jesse leave.
As the case develops and things do start falling into place, things are strained for Miriam, between Jesse reappearing, the things her best friend has been telling her and the situation with her boyfriend and the fact that there is a murderer on the loose, she doesn’t know if she is coming or going and things just keep getting stranger, but will they solve the case, or will the things that have been foretold come to pass? Can Miriam solve all the problems in her life, or will they all coalesce to bring her down?
If you like trying to solve a crime with a dash of romance and a bit of the supernatural sprinkled in for good measure, this is the book for you and it will suck you in.
This is a beautiful love story about taking risk, learning to forgive and find love again.
Carly is works on the mountains as a medical person assisting people who have accidents or are injured while skiing. She loves her job and since her heart was broken she hasn’t let anyone get close to her. That is until Chris comes into her life.
Chris Markum was a professional skier until an accident left him paralysed. Now he’s back in training to join the paralymics team. When he meets Carly the attraction is real and quick but he has several issues. Will his disability stop him finding love? Will he be able to satisfy her like a normal man.
They both have to leave to adapt their lives and open themselves up and risk being hurt in order to let their love grow. Will fear tear them apart? Or are they strong enough to fight all the obstacles and be together?
Even with the authors warning at the beginning of this book I was not prepared for how much this was going to emotionally ruin me, there was quite a lot of blubbing, and by the end of the book, I was a snotty mess that sank herself into a bottle of wine and a hefty amount of chocolates. We are introduced to Tara and Jace, two main characters who a lugging around their own hefty bag of personal baggage, their backs breaking under the strain, and their ability to connect with others irreparably damaged. But when they meet each other they feel a connection, a connection infuriatingly ignored for the longest time, but it sizzles on the page every time they are in each other’s vicinity, Quinn can write sexual tension. Once again this is another series that I’ve jumped into without actually reading the installments that have gone before, but this is no detriment to Tara and Jace’s tale it stands alone with all its heart-breaking moments, and all the spine-tinglingly saucy ones too. I thought that the added element of a mystery was a nice little bonus, that kept me guessing right till the final pages. I like the fact that while there is plenty of sultry shenanigans to go round, the story isn’t lost and you never lose the sense of who these characters are, what they have experienced, and how far they’ve come in their journey. This is a story about finding redemption and that sometimes in order to allow ourselves to fully heal, we have to be vulnerable and exposed. A touching romance that will absolutely make you cry, Quinn warns you and I’ve just warned you; be prepared!!

This is the second book in this romance and it’s perfect as book one ended on a cliffhanger. There is so much emotion in this book, it really makes you feel for Tessa. Jordan is so angry throughout most of the book but i still cant help but be drawn to him. It starts four years later and there is so much drama throughout most of the book its quite intense. Jordan wants answer’s and new and old secrets are revealed. You definitely need to read book 1 before starting this as it will make more sense. Great read.

I became completely invested in this book and the characters within. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. There were times in this story I was on the edge of my seat. There were a few twists and turns I didn’t see coming. The author did an excellent job in weaving a story full of emotion, suspense, healing, hope, romance, family, and wonderful characters. Tara and Jace have been through so much already and now someone is watching Tara. The attraction between these two is evident but can Tara deal with her past and be able to move on? Will Jace and Seb be able to find out who’s following Tara in time? To find this out and more this is a must read. I highly recommend this book. I can’t wait to read what’s next.

Jordan’s Justice by T. Christensen is book two of the Tessa and Jordan series.
It’s been four years since Tessa saw Jordan last. This was definitely not the way she thought she’d see him again. Of course their first meeting, well really every meeting is disastrous. Jordan is sure he knows the real Tessa after what happened. He doesn’t even want to hear what she has to say about it but he intends to right the wrongs he suffered. Tessa is terrified because she doesn’t have the resources Jordan has and she’s afraid she will lose this fight. Will Jordan ever learn the truth or is Tessa stuck always being afraid of what will happen next with Jordan?
I understood Jordan’s anger but honestly he was not my favorite for most of the book. While it definitely fit the story and was well written, his anger felt over the top and his reaction to the anger felt extreme. I really just wanted to shake him so he would let Tessa tell her side. Tessa did what she had to do and she’s paid for it. These characters were so well written and you could feel the emotion in the story. I read this book in one sitting. As soon as I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down!

Book Review: Jordan’s Justice Author: T. Christensen FOUR STARS Last year I read the first book in this duet, Breaking Tessa. I was really looking forward to this book so that I would be able to watch them get their happily ever after. Well, Jordan’s Justice picks up four years later and oh my. The lies and secrets and Jordan’s mother. Let me just say I am glad this was a book and I didn’t have to deal with that woman face to face. Jordan’s dad is the hero in this story for sure. I read Don’t Worry, I Still Hate You by Marie Skye in the Happily Ever After Collection. This enemies-to-roommates-to-lovers romance will have you giggling the whole time.
Perrie and Ash have a past that I felt like I was missing something but I was intrigued to see where this story would go. And I’m glad I stuck with them. All the emotions that I love about romances were in this short story – the love/hate bantering, disappointed understandings, and how you cry because of how everything worked out.
I can’t wait to check out other stories in this boxset.

I loved the book written by Marie Skye. I have read many books by this author and have loved all of them. This book in particular is about two main characters, Perrie and Ash. These two characters have met again after a night they spent together quite a while ago. When they find themselves face to face again what will happen? This was a quick read but the chemistry between these two is out of control. This is a second chance romance but will they take that chance? Such an amazing read. You definitely do not want to miss out on this one.

Jordan and Tessa’s story continues in Jordan’s Justice from T. Christensen. I would highly recommend reading the first book before diving into this story so you are aware of what is going on. This is the book that will get Jordan the answers he has been looking for from Tessa. New secrets are revealed and things will heat up four years later when the two least expected to cross each other’s paths again. I loved the drama and the intense feelings you got as you read this book. I felt as if I was there watching things unfold and often found myself talking out loud to these two. I was consumed by their story and was so anxious to find out how this book would end. The sadness came when the story concluded. I am having a huge hangover now and want more.

This author is one of my top ten authors and I am never let down when I read one of her books. I find that the characters really just come off of the pages and I feel as though I am right in the midst of the drama. I just could not put this book down.
I find that the characters really interact well and the back stories are always full of conflict and that that helps to make them more realistic. I like how the author is able to tie all the different series together and just really enhances the storylines. I really look forward to reading more from this author.

This is a box set of romances with feisty women and handsome men, there are flings, forbidden romances, enemies turning to friends, second chances and comedy galore, but the one I enjoyed most was “Don’t Worry, I Still Hate You” by Marie Skye where Perrie is looking for a way out of a hen weekend in Las Vegas, but to no avail and she ends up going, even though it is someone she isn’t really that fond of, so to distract herself she is writing the advert for the roommate she is in need of, but she is getting distracted by her friend talking about a new app she has downloaded and signed her up for too, safe to say that she is not impressed! All the talk about sex is embarassing her, but only because she isn’t getting any and has managed to kind of organise it with someone she isn’t keen on, but after 3 years, anything is better than nothing and when she gets a match on her app later on, it happens to be someone she knows, Ash and someone who knows how good they look and that most women would fall over themselves to get it on with a guy like him.
When he comes over to talk to her later, Perrie does her best to avoid conversation, even though he is trying so she makes up her mind and walks away. Later on, Perries leaves the party and goes back to her room, but cannot sleep, she keeps on thinking about how good Ash looked and when she matches with someone who sent a video too, she decides it is only sex and to go for it. Ash is in the middle of a business video call when there is a knock at his door and he sees Perrie but he has no idea why and when she mentions a dance party, he is even more confused, but when she says she was glad it was him, he decides to play along and that is where the night gets passionate. Perrie leaves his room and sneaks back to her own room while trying not to wake the others, but her friend is awake and she wants the gossip, , but PErrie is being tight lipped because everyone knows what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
Almost a year later, Perrie has been through two roommates and is rejigging the advert for a third, but she is only getting weirdo’s and addicts until she gets a message from Ashley who seems to be everything she wanted in the advert and so agrees to send over the lease and that the keys will be waiting as she won’t be there that weekend, but two weeks later, she arrives home late and goes straight to her room to crash out, but a few hours later, she is woken up by really loud music and so goes into the kitchen to prepare a pot of coffee and say hi to her new roommate, but when they come out of their room, Perrie is in for a shock when she realises that it is the man from Vegas, but this is going to be the least of her worries.
The other tales cover everything a die hard romance reader would love to read and I would definitely recommend them, so go fill your boots with this compendium of stories and let the hopeless romantic in you out.

I really enjoyed Don’t Worry, I Still Hate You in this boxed set. It is by Marie Skye. Her stories are always original and unique.
This story follows Perrie and Ash who have a past and have run into each other periodically throughout their lives. When Ash responds to an add for a roommate and Perrie turns out to be the person looking for a roommate, it seems that fate has put them in each others paths again.
Are the feelings deeper than hate? Is there anything to develop from their new closeness?
This story was funny and super cute, in a unique way. I loved the characters and didn’t want to put it down!

Matching Mariam is an intriguing suspense thriller with a side of romance thrown in by Mya O’Malley. This is not my first book by Mya, but it is my favorite. This book hooked me on the first page and I read this book in one sitting. I just couldn’t put it down. The characters are strong and relatable. The storyline is amazing and gave me the impression that I was there with Mariam. This book was full of twist that had me guessing what would happen next. I highly recommend this book especially if you are a suspense thriller fan.

This was so much different than I expected and I shouldn’t even be surprised because that is exactly what Marie does to you while she is writing. She has this ability to suck you in and lead you on and all is well, until it isn’t! It’s unexpected and saucy and everything it needs to be when you get to the final words. The characters were very well constructed and it was a pretty quick read that had a great ebb and flow to it. Now to go get the rest of the stories!

It has been a good while since i have read a psychological thriller and it was brilliant. It is full of suspense, romance and murder. Miriam is trying to solve the biggest case of her career by trying to hunt down a serial killer. But When Jesse walks back in to her life she must try and keep her head in the game and crack the case. I really hope Miriam will have more books i really enjoyed this one and i would like to see her working more cases in New York.
Happily Ever After is a collection absolutely jam packed with some authors I know and many I didn’t. I’ve read a few from this collection and will focus on my favorite for this review.
I am a forever fan of Marie Skye, I’ll read anything she writes and know that I’ll be completely sad when it’s over and I have to wait to start another one. This one started out a little bumpy for me..Had to wrap my head around what was going on, kinda like coming into the middle of a movie. It did not take long to pick up what this author was doing though. I got all my answers as I kept reading and very quickly became completely invested in these characters. I literally laughed out loud so many times at these two. The back and forth was complete perfection and as the story progressed I realized I was experiencing every emotion possible while reading. I was sad, disappointed, SUPER angry at some truths that came out towards the end and then I found myself crying at the very end at how things played out. Hard to explain how much I loved this story, even though it’s hard to understand at the very beginning. It completely smooths out and flows seamlessly.
Reading this shorter story has made me miss this author’s writing so much that I plan to open the ones I already have and do a complete reread.
I also can not wait to read the rest of the stories I have not gotten to yet, and just know I’ll come away with some new authors to keep track of.

This boxed set is made of numerous incredible reads from a variety of epic authors! These reads are sexy, steamy and have incredible characters and storyline that are captivating from the very beginning. One of these reads that I found I enjoyed the most was Marie Skye’s Don’t Worry, I Still Hate You!
While this read was quick, it didn’t lack in descriptions and had a brilliant storyline with two brilliant characters. Perrie & Ash were two brilliant characters that had amazing chemistry and bounced off each other. This read brought you romance, ups and downs humour and let’s not forget the steaminess! It was a brilliant read from start to finish.

When you are on the biggest case of your life, in walks a complication to life. Will Miriam be able to concentrate on her job as well as trying to understand were her lover fits into her life.
Miriam is a sassy, independent woman who is a tough New York cop, but when she is given the biggest case of her life she puts 110% into finding the decades old serial killer. As she investigates a lot of herself is drawn into the case and will she have anything left to try and sort her heart out from years ago.
Jesse has had his fair share of broken hearts but the one that has really hurt him the most, is the person he hopes he may be able to avoid with his new job in New York but when they do finally meet all the feels come flooding back even stronger but will be able to break the wall around his heart and give love a second chance.
I have to say that all the books by this author hit the mark and are well written and the characters are excellently developed and this book does not disappoint. I loved the glance’s of Miriam in the Maggie Series but never thought she would be brought to her full glory in her own book.
The chemistry between Jesse and Miriam from their first interaction has you salivating that this will be a full emotional encounter and they really compliment each other perfectly, then add in the suspense and thrilling storyline of the serial killer within the story and this leaves you wanting more, with questions that are still circling around in my head.
I would love to read more stories evolving Miriam and fingers crossed more will be released in the future. This is a great thriller with twists and turns and a great book you can’t put it down.

Perrie is looking for a roommate, she just wants someone who is clean and won’t touch her stuff. Surely that’s not too much to ask? After placing an ad she is brought face to face with someone she’s met before, the guy she met in Vegas and forgot to tell her a few pieces of crucial information….like he’s married!
Don’t Worry, I Still Hate You is a fun read with great characters. I loved the chemistry between Perrie and Ash, they definitely deserved this second chance at romance. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a nice, quick, gobble-up-in-an-afternoon type of read.

The Longest Run: a Ski Patrol Rescue Romance (Lawson Family Book 4) by Tracey Cramer-Kelly is a contemporary sports romance story. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book, and I was not disappointed. The story is one that will stir up your emotions and make your heart ache. Tracey’s wonderful narrative brings the characters to life and this lovable coupling brings two characters together who have endured pain and suffering, loss and guilt in their lives that it will break your heart right along with them. But there is also love and hope, wonder and joy to be had that you are not able to walk away until you have finished the book in one sitting. I have loved the Lawson’s right from the start, and I am glad we got to catch up, they feel like my own family.
Matching Miriam by Mya O’Malley is a contemporary romance. It has a little of everything, a little crime and murder, a lot of suspense and throw in some paranormal to give it a bit of spice. In true Mya fashion she gives us a read that is engrossing and easy to get lost in when trying to escape reality. Just when you think you have it worked out Mya throws you for a loop and sends you in a completely different route.
Her ex is back in town but catching a killer is Miriam’s main objective even if it means her life.
Crave by Evelyn Sola is book one of the Clark Family Series. I read this book in one sitting. I couldn’t put it down!
Sandy wasn’t supposed to stay for the party but she felt obligated. Then, she meets Jake and feels an instant connection. While Sandy thinks that maybe just maybe there could be something between them, some drama happens and it’s too much for Sandy so she leaves. Jake can’t let her go that easy. He messed up, more than once, trying to convince Sandy to give him a chance. They can make it work because he knows she feels the connection too. Will Sandy give Jake the chance he’s begging for or will too much stand in their way?
I understood Jake’s feeling of betrayal but for a little bit I felt like he was hanging on to the anger way too much. That being said, his character developed very well and by the end of the book, he was a hero I could enjoy! Sandy is strong and independent. She doesn’t need Jake but she can surely enjoy the partnership. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read more!

Jordan’s Justice: A New Adult Sport Romance (Tessa and Jordan Book 2) by T. Christensen. And I thought the first book was an emotional ride. This one blows it out of the water. It has a myriad of emotions and drama, as well as lots of angst that goes from one extreme to the other and so so much anger. You really need to read the first book first as this takes place four years after the first one which has so much information and back story of our couple and where it all began.
She was young, blackmailed, emotional and naïve and that set the course of her life. Now that life is set to be turned upside down once again.
He is all anger and woe is me Mr rich man and I can have what I want, and I am all about revenge. But what he doesn’t realise is that the blame lies elsewhere and not where he directs it. I sooooooo wanted to shake him and tell him where to go. Although he did redeem himself a little at the end.

This was one of those books that you can sit and read, while drinking a cup of coffee, and get lost in the story. Miriam is a detective in New York. She has been given a recent murder case that seems as though it could be the work of a serial killer. Miriam is dedicated to her job, and running, because it allows her mind to be clear and keep her past out. However, her past will be more than in her mind when her first love reappears in her life once again. She must focus on her case, though, because her best friend believes she is in danger. Jesse is starting his new job as a firefighter in New York and is hoping to see Miriam once again so he can get the closure he never got. However, once reunited, instead of closure there is a spark of hope. He wants to be the man to keep Miriam safe…but from what? Or who? There is so much going on in this story…the chasing of a killer, a man who can’t seem to get over a relationship that was just at the beginning stages, a best friend who talks to ghosts and sees the future, and an encounter with a ghost that has Jesse opening his eyes to believing in spirits. This book was enjoyable and I finished it all in one sitting. I needed to know what was going to happen. I was pulled in by the spiritual elements. Over, a good story.
I love boxed sets where many authors add a short story they’ve written and share their talents with us. I can always find a new author (or two or three!) to follow or check out their other books in the future based on one of their short stories. In this box set, I am specifically reviewing “Don’t Worry, I Still Hate You” by Marie Skye. This is a wonderfully funny tale of two people who come to live together because of a advertisement for a roommate. How would either of them know that fate would bring them back into their lives. Will these one time enemies work together in the hopes of sharing rent become more to each other? You won’t be disappointed reading this short story!
