My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Help Me Harry by Mya O’Malley is the second book in the Collection: Sun, Sand and A Ring On My Hand series. This is a nice quick, fun read that will have you engaging with the characters the whole way through. The book is entertaining with a great storyline. I liked that the characters weren’t perfect. The way the author has written makes them feel more real.
This is not the first book that I have read by this author but it does reinforce the view even more that she is definitely someone I want to read more of. I enjoyed this book from start to finish and would definitely recommend it.

I love this author so much, I love that whatever she writes is just wonderful to read. She plans her characters so well and makes them so connectable to the reader. Her writing is so easy to read, I just know when I pick up one of her books I am going to enjoy it and I definitely enjoyed Help Me, Harry. As soon as I started reading about Cassie and Harry I fell in love, they were both genuine characters that I couldn’t help but care about and want the best for them. The first meeting between the two of them I could feel the connection that they had, it did seem really honest and genuine. I thought that they would be perfect for each other. I could tell Harry desperately wanted to shake his player past to convince and show Cassie that he could be the man for her!
A wonderful romance read that I thoroughly enjoyed! As always I look forward to more from this talented author!

When you think you have the most perfect life but when a trip away ignites something inside you that makes you think do you act on it or keep the peace.

Cassie is planning to go away with her best friends on a bachelorette party, can Cassie enjoy the trip away without thinking about work, her book and her fiance. After arriving at the resort they wonder down to the pool bar where she meets Harry.

Harry is getting over his divorce and has a love and leave them attitude for his relationships but there is just something about Cassie that has peaked his interest and want to discover what will happen but there’s one problem she is engaged.

As the story goes through the relationship of Harry and Cassie you understand that Cassie is second guessing her love for Evan and is he the guy she wants for the rest of her life, but when news devastates Cassie will Harry be there to pick up the pieces.

I loved this story, Cassie’s character was great and flawed, the relationship she had with Harry was lovely and they became we suited opposites. I thought the story was well written and an easy read, I was routing for them from the beginning and enjoyed every word.

This is not the first book I have read by this author and I recommend this book for a quick, easy read and if you love a happy ever after this is for you.

What a lovely story!! I have read books by this author previously so I was really looking forward to starting this one and I did really enjoy it! I read the story quite quickly and I think that because it was so well written and had a fantastic pace the words just seemed to flow along and it was an easy read. I loved the characters, Chloe and Sebastian! Chloe has such a wonderful nature especially towards animals, she had a connection with them and I really enjoyed watching her and Sebastian form a connection also. The animals in the story were a great addition also; it definitely made the characters feel more connectable for me being an animal lover also. As with all good romance stories there were some twists and turns but deep down I was rooting for Chloe and Sebastian the whole way through!
A fantastic heart-warming read and one that I would highly recommend! I can’t wait to read more from Ms Daniels again!

I loved reading the book The Princess and the Pit Bulls (The Fairy Tale Series Book 4) by Jody Lynn Daniels. It is a story that is romantic and pulled me in from the very beginning. I loved the characters of Chloe Wheeler and Sebastian Adams. Chloe is a young woman who is intelligent, talented, and has a way with animals. Sebastian is the man who has taken over the veterinary clinic in town. What does the future hold for them? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had my emotions going up and down. Some moments made me sad or angry and others that had me laughing out loud. There are heartwarming and romantic moments. I grew to care about Chloe and Sebastian with each chapter that I read and wanted them to find happiness. I also loved that there are animals woven into the story as well. There are additional characters that I enjoyed reading about the part they play in the story. Don’t miss out on an exciting and entertaining romance story that you will not be able to put down until the final page. I highly recommend reading it.

I loved reading the book Help Me Harry by Mya O’Malley. It’s a story that pulled me in from the beginning. I loved reading about the characters of Cassie and Harry. From the minutes that they meet Harry feels a connection to Cassie that he hasn’t felt in a long time. The past has taught him a lot about broken hearts. How is it that Cassie makes him feel so differently than others? Cassie is a young woman who is intelligent and works hard. When she meets and talks to Harry, she starts to feel a connection to him. She has a fiancé. When situations occur will she find out the Evan, her fiancé, is a player? Harry wants to put aside his reputation and convince Cassie that she should take a chance with him. What does the future hold for Cassie and Harry? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. I enjoyed this hot romance story. This author continues to impress me with her attention to details that make her stories pop and her imagination to create great stories. This book ranks right up there as one of my favorites by her. This story is no different. It is a well written story that kept me engaged to the end. The plot pulled me in right from the first page. This is a story about love at first site and taking a chance. Cassie and Harry meet one night at a bar. Harry is the bartender that listens to Cassie and her troubles. There are a few problems. Cassie is engaged to a man who doesn’t deserve her. Harry is known as a player but is he willing to stop his ways for Cassie? Is he good enough for her? Will she take a chance on him? This is a great romance story that has a lot going on yet not so much that it becomes confusing. These are great characters that I had no problem connecting with and they really did make the story for me. I highly recommend reading this book and this author.

I enjoyed this cute romance story. This is not my first book by this author but it is my favorite so far yet. This is a well developed story that kept me turning pages to the end. The characters are engaging and connectable. This is a story about the present and past and which one will prevail? Chloe had it all until she dated the wrong man at work and now lost it all, on top of that she is branded a thief. Then we have Sebastain who took over an animal clinic. He sees Chloe at a wedding and is instantly attracted to her and best of all his two dogs love her. What could be better right? What happens when his past comes crashing into the present? There are secrets that can be hurtful or they can be helpful, which are these? This is a romance story that was written with heart and feeling. You won’t regret picking up this book, I don’t. I highly recommend this book.

The Matchmaker and the Marine by Lucinda Race was a great example of why I love second chance romances. As my first book by this author, Melinda and Adam’s story was heartwarming and full of emotions that I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. Both of these characters had an uphill battle to fight through and it was great to see how the right person can help fight those battles. Matchmaker Melinda Phillips has devoted her life to helping others find love. Having tragically lost her husband, and childhood sweetheart, in a hit and run accident, Mel’s job is to help others find love like theirs.
Adam has heard a lot about the matchmaker that helped his friend find love. He’s interested in seeking her expertise, but when he falls for Mel can he make her see that she’s allowed to love again? And, can he trust her with his biggest secret?
When Mel hires Adam to work in her garden she gets to know him better, and a playful friendship takes shape. With Adam going on a string of unsuccessful dates the pair have plenty to keep them busy.

Mel and Adam are both such lovely characters you can’t help but wish them well. They both have a lot of baggage, but for me, this makes them more relatable and real. I was rooting for them to get the happy ending they deserve. I was keeping my fingers crossed that this second chance at love would work out for both of them. The story is easy to read, perfect for a cosy afternoon.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

5 years widowed
4 friends in love
3 boarders of ocean
2 second chances
1 gray striped Skye

The Matchmaker and the Marine: A Second Chance Small-Town Romance, is a beautiful, slow-burn tale of healing hearts, self-forgiveness, and second chances. Lucinda Race has written such relatable and heartfelt characters in Melinda Phillips and Adam Bell. The realness of their doubt and grief; how even the smartest and most logical people can see they are not acting rationally, due to fears, losses, and regrets. Wanting so desperately to find happiness again, yet still not able to find the hope or strength to change course. You don’t have to be Marine to understand and sympathize with Adam’s trepidation of opening up. You don’t have to be a widow to feel Melinda’s loss of her husband so acutely.
It would have been easy to stay on the path life throws you on. It would have been far less scary to not at least try at a second chance of love, more freeing to stay jaded and guarded. But to have missed out on your happily ever after would have been far more painful than living in your darkened past.
You won’t regret taking this journey with Mel and Adam….after all. Timing is everything!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The matchmaker and the marine was a great book that was well written with great characters.
The two main characters have their own issues.
Melinda moved to Chester to start a new life after losing her husband and facing memories everywhere in her home. It was to much for her to handle. In Chester she has become a very successful matchmaker who gets referral and referral from the many HEA’s she has played a part in creating.
Adam is in Chester staying with a friend who is like a brother. They have been best friends for many years. Adam is at a wedding when he runs into Melinda. They start to talk about how they both know the couple and become quick friends. Adam hires Melinda to be his matchmaker but things don’t go very smooth for him. He’s ex military with many emotional and some physical scars. Adam not only hires Melinda but she also hires him to do some work in her yard. The chemistry is amazing between these two main characters throughout the book but is it enough? What happens when a secret is exposed that isn’t ready to be told?
I thought this was a really great book and look forward to many more from this author. This is definitely a book you do not want to miss out on!

The Matchmaker and The MarineThe Matchmaker and The Marine by Lucinda Race
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a small town, second chance at love romance story by Lucinda Race, and is a sweet and inspiring read which took me on a rollercoaster of emotions whilst reading it. Widowed matchmaker Melinda Phillips wants everyone to experience the kind of love she had with her husband and sadly lost. However Melinda has vowed never to date again, and meanwhile handsome Marine Adam Bell has sworn to hide his handicap forever. Adam was injured whilst serving in the Marines and had his leg amputated which is a constant reminder of his war years. Melinda’s job is matching up perfect couples and her business is thriving and she is in demand. Adam’s girlfriend rejected him following his amputation and now he is determined to protect his heart fiercely. The two meet when Melinda trips over at a client’s wedding right into the arms of a sexy Marine, Adam. Following Adams chivalrous rescue whilst at a friend’s wedding he suddenly wonders if he’s given up on love too soon and signs up for Melinda’s services. Melinda discovers that Adam’s ideal candidate is actually herself and the pair start to date and soon their relationship is blossoming. However Adam still believes that his hidden disfigurement will come between them. Melinda and Adam must overcome their traumatic pasts and take a chance at love and happiness for a second time.
I loved the main characters, both Adam and Melinda were realistic and relatable, you could tell that they both had traumatic pasts and that their fear for the future was real. The chemistry between them sizzled off the page and I was cheering both on to their happy ever after.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Martimus (Feisty Lawyers Book 5) by Seelie Kay was a great 5 star read.
I was pulled in right from the beginning. This was a great quick read. There are socialites that have gone missing, which includes a former vice president’s daughter.

Who is involved? Can Cate and the team solve the mystery?

Cate goes undercover trying to get information on the missing. I loved her possessive boyfriend Hazelton, he isn’t really thrilled about all the men eyeing up Cate. He is a former Navy Seal and can be very intimidating.

We get twists and turns, action, mystery, suspense and so much more. You can read it as a stand alone but reading in order will help you connect with the characters better. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. If you’re looking for a great read, 1-click and get started today.

This is a story to two broken people who just happen to be at the same place at the same time. This sweet story of finding love after being hurt. Melinda is a widow who just happens to be a matchmaker. She lost her love and does not think she will find another one. Adam is a Marine who loses his leg and because of that, his girlfriend walks out on him. Can he ever find love again? Lucinda Race does a wonderful capturing of the pain Melinda and Adam have gone through in their life so far. The characters are relatable and realistic. The storyline is a sweet story. Can two people ever fall in love again? I highly recommend this story because of the simplistic love story.

The Agency is on the case again. Eight people of the social elite have gone missing, including the Vice President’s daughter. Time is running out and the agents are scrambling to find a lead. Finally getting a break, they realize that they can’t send in one of their own so they pull a favour from MI Six. Agent Tillie severely injured some of their operatives so they decided to borrow her to go undercover for this case. Give her a chance to redeem herself. The chase leads from Morocco to the ocean floor and back to Spain. There is no lack of action and intrigue in this story. It is filled with suspense, drama and twists and turns that will keep you turning those pages.

Martimus is the fifth book in the Feisty Lawyer’s series. You can read this as a standalone, but you’ll probably have a better experience if you read the previous ones to get the background on the other characters.

I like the premise of this book. I had a difficult time getting past the way the main character, Cate, was written when she has to slip into her undercover role. There is something about intelligent women acting less than their smarts that just grates on me when it is written in certain ways. Now, on the flip side of that, I did feel an emotion when I read those parts, so the author has definitely given you an emotional connection. In that respect, it is written in a way that does engage you.

Martimus is full of action, suspense, and mystery as the characters are searching for missing socialites. It also has some steamy romance to spice things up. The use of the underwater habitat was interesting and gives added dimension to the story.

Overall, once I got past my initial aversion to the previously mentioned aspect, it was an entertaining read and kept me turning the pages.

This is the 5th book in this series and I’ve read all of the books before. I love this series and this author’s style of writing, the way she can merge in storylines and although being a partly romantic series she has a way of making the romance only come forward when needed, while you’re focused on the suspenseful part of the series.

I really liked this one, and it was nice getting to see the gang again. I loved the lab under water and would have loved spending a whole lot more time down there, this fascinates me and loved this addition to the story.

I highly recommend reading all of this series since the characters are in and out of all the books, you’ll find that you love some and then some you’ll have a little less love for but as a whole it all works perfectly.

This is a very quick one sitting read

Loved it

Martimus is the intriguing fifth instalment in the Feisty Lawyers Series by Seelie Kay. This is another clever, complex, and well developed story- intriguing and suspenseful- and in true Seelie Kay fashion, it packs quite a punch!
This is a quick and easy read with all the elements needed to make it an engrossing read:
-Missing young wealthy socialites with influential parents- one of which being the former VP’s daughter. Check
-A mysterious and state of the art underwater habitat dedicated to pharmaceutical research. Check
-A bit of a mystery surrounding the fact that the facility uses prisoners for labour, but they are never heard from again. Check
-A beautiful Agent and her protective former Navy SEAL lover, caught up in all the intrigue and action. Check
-A plan to infiltrate Martimus and find out exactly what is going on. Check
-Plenty of action, suspense, mystery, dramatic developments, twists and turns, and edge of your seat reading. Check
-A wily adversary. Check
-Danger and intensity at every turn. Check
-And a tense race against time. Check

Definitely one of my favourites of the series!

Thank you, Seelie Kay!

Martimus (Feisty Lawyers Book 5) By Seelie Kay. I love this series! This is the story of Agent Cade Creighton who is in love but as the Agency’s honey pot she is super deep into an investigation and is not spending a lot of time on it. 8 Socialites have gone missing and its her job to find them. They are all 20 something women with wealthy parents. Its not a big deal until a very important Vice President’s daughter is one of them. When the VP tells them about a false arrest, broken promises of deportation and illegally putting money into an private prison that they all realize how serious this mess is. If the plans go awry in the least then everything is messed up. Using Cade as bait which her boyfriend former US Navy Seal Warren Hazelton is not haappy with they try to lure them in. Tillie Henderson owes them a big favor and they are calling it in on this case. Will she be able to save the 8 women plus Cade or will the plan blow up in all their faces? Read Martimus to find out!

This is a story filled with danger and surprises. I love reading about this group. They are so smart and are able to pool their resources to finish their quests. This mostly is a bout Tillie whom we have met in past books. She is not a favorite of this group but she does get the job done.

My only problem was I was drawn to this because of the lab under the sea. There is a relative short time spent there then it’s not really mentioned again. So I was a bit saddened over this. I was looking forward to more.

Over all this is filled with nonstop action. It is still an enjoyable read. The character are fun, ruthless and intriguing.

Hello readers.

My name is Jody Lynn Daniels and i love romance, happy endings, laughter and spice. That’s why i write it. I’ve been reading ever since my mother taught me how, and reading romance ever since i stole one of her Harlequins and was hooked. I’ve been writing since junior high when i penned my first soap opera titled “As the stomach Churns” it was horrible, but fun!

I’m the divorced mother of a wonderfully goofy sixteen year old son who makes me laugh every day.

“If the Shoe Fits” is based on the classic tale of Cinderella, and is the first book in my Fairy tale series. It looks to be a fun series, because I’m having a blast writing it.
