Too Hot to Handle (The Catch Series Book 3) by Avery Scott – Review by Robin Rankin

Too Hot to Handle (The Catch, Book 3)Too Hot to Handle by Avery Scott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Too Hot to Handle by Avery Scott is the third book in the Catch series. I wasn’t sure what to expect since this is the first book in the series I’ve read. I discovered that each of these books can be read as a standalone, though the previous book is referenced.

Tony, oh what can I say about Tony? He is an amazing guy, very sweet but not looking for a relationship. Oh and he’s a firefighter. Sigh…..

Georgia is a hot mess but as you get to know her you discover why that is. She puts up with a lot more from family than she should. I would definitely do things a bit different if I were her.

I got the impression that this may be the last book in the series but a girl can dream right?

Too Hot to Handle (The Catch, Book 3)Too Hot to Handle by Avery Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Too hot to handle by Avery Scott was a great read. There wasn’t to much of anything in it. I really enjoyed reading this book and look forward to more from this author. This was a happy read for me.
Tony is at a VIP event for “Catch” a friends reality tv show airing and all he really wants to do is be home or some place quieter. He spots a gorgeous girl trying to get into the VIP area and the bouncers are giving her a hard time. She’s clearly drunk and Tony decides to help her by saying she is with him so they will allow her to the VIP area.
Georgia is a woman who was recently engaged to someone who was on the reality show and basically just forgot he was engaged and is now engaged to someone new. A real jerk if you ask me. Georgia hasn’t had an easy life. She’s always trying to fit into a mold of what her step mother and step sisters are like. She reminds me of Cinderella a bit.
The night at the club, Tony sees her obviously under a lot of stress and takes her home but doesn’t try anything. He’s a perfect gentleman. The next morning they part ways only to run into each other again when Tony goes on a EMS call. What are the odds? Fate has a funny way of making things like this happen.
Tony and Georgia become friends and Tony decides to help Georgia win back the love of Chaz. They act like a couple when they go out hoping to make Chaz jealous. There’s only one problem with that plan. Georgia is beautiful and Tony is a sweet, amazingly sexy firefighter and they are beyond attracted to each other. What will happen when Chaz and Georgia are face to face again? What will happen when Tony and Georgia give it a shot as a couple and then Tony finds out about how Georgia and Chaz ran into each other when Tony abruptly left after her family treats him like garbage? Definitely a great read you won’t want to miss out on. 5 stars!!!

Too Hot to Handle by Avery Scott is a truly fiery romance read! This is my first book by this author, but it certainly won’t be my last as I thoroughly enjoyed this one from start to finish. This is the third book in The Catch series, a series I want to continue diving into.

Though this was a shorter read I felt it was really well rounded and had plenty of detail making it easy for me to picture everything playing out in my mind. Plus, I found that the story itself flowed seamlessly and I was able to really connect with the characters.

I look forward to starting book 1 ASAP, this is a romance read I would recommend to others.

Too Hot To Handle was an exciting fun and romantic read. This is the first book I have read in this series and I had no problem with keeping up with the story. The author easily brought me up to speed as to what was occurring. She easily pulled me in with the introduction of Tony’s character at the start of the book. He was a fun easy going firefighter. I also enjoyed Georgia’s character. She worked hard at what she did and I couldn’t help but laugh at the first few situations she got herself into where Tony rescued her. This was an excellent read with great characters, excellent scenery, an exciting climax, and an even better ending. I highly recommend this book! I can’t wait to read more in this series.

Too Hot to Handle was a brilliant read by Avery Scott. This isn’t the first book that I have read by this author so I was hoping I would enjoy it as much as I did the first and I absolutely did! As soon as I started reading I knew that this book was going to be a hit with me, the characters were likeable and the storyline flowed really well, it was a really easy and enjoyable story to read. There was some humour, some romance and an extremely hot firefighter – what’s not to love about this book?!? I love Georgia, I thought that she was a great female lead to read about and I loved Tony!! The two together made for a very entertaining read! I am so looking forward to the next book in the series! I cannot wait to see what happens next!

Bowled: Facing the Yorker of Love (To Love a Sportsman Book 1) by Pamela Q. Fernandes – Review by Karyn Taylor

Bowled (To Love a Sportsman Book 1)Bowled by Pamela Q. Fernandes
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Bowled: Facing The Yorker Of Love is the first book in the To Love A Sportsman series by Pamela Q. Fernandes. I had not previously read any of this author’s work but I do love a good sports romance so decided to give this a try. Although I have read many sports romances, I have never read one centred around the sport of cricket. Thankfully I’m a lover of cricket and incidentally I’m writing this review while watching England play at the world Cup.
Hero of this story is Mathew Anderson, captain of the England cricket team. Having been accused of domestic abuse by his previous girlfriend, he’s currently keeping women at arm’s length. Well that is until he receives a tweet from Rose Cavendish which forces him to take action.
I absolutely loved the interactions between Mathew and Rose. There is an instant attraction between the 2 but both have severe trust issues since their previous relationships. Rose is a feisty character that i loved but she also came across as very vulnerable at times.
I loved Mathew’s characters but there were a few occasions that I’d loved to have given him a kick up the backside. I hated that he allowed dinner guests to speak badly of her. He lost serious brownie points at that point in the story.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more of this series.

This is the first book of a new series by Via Mari. I love her writing style, it sucks you right in and doesn’t let up until the end.
We do see characters from her other series but this story follows Jay and Sasha.
Jay is head of security and Sasha a ballerina. Through suspense and drama, we see this amazing story unfold.
A must read!

Wayward is book one in the Billionaire Bodyguards by Via Mari. This author is an instant one click for me, and I was beyond excited for this new book in a new series. I love that bittersweet, drawing anticipation you get when you meet the characters, learn their make up, and live their story.

Sacha is a lady I would love to be. She is everything sweet yet sassy. She falls instantly for Jay. Totally. Hard. The feelings are also felt by him. Their journey was fraught with suspense and dilemma, but blinding in it’s beauty. I have to say these are some of the most addictive and endearing characters O have ever got to know. Their story was sublime. 5 stars.

Bowled (To Love a Sportsman Book 1)Bowled by Pamela Q. Fernandes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Bowled: Facing the Yorker of Love was a fun little read that I scooped up and devoured in just one afternoon. I normally adore all things sports romance, odd since I’m not a major sports fan, but something about them just has all the right stuff to make a delectable read. I have read a few of Pamela Q. Fernandes’s works in the past but must say, this has to be my favorite of hers. You can see the growth in her writing and this was just a much smoother flow than the last few of hers I have read.

Rose and Matthew both have been through the wringer of bad relationships. Neither of them saw a fresh new romance on the horizon but when they meet and things start to fall into place the connection and attraction is undeniable. Will they be able to weather all that life throws at their new relationship? I enjoyed these two and reading all about the adventures they find themselves in. I am looking forward to seeing what will come in book two as well!

Too Hot to Handle (The Catch Series Book 3) by Avery Scott

This is my second book by this author and I enjoyed every page, although somewhat predictable in a lot of ways it was still fun to read how this author put it all together.

Who doesn’t love reading about a hot fireman out to rescue the jilted blogger? I loved the chemistry between these two and I really liked the flow of the book, I read it in one sitting and was actually kind of sad when it was over. I loved the hospital scene I thought that was great and I so totally despised Georgia’s family, I literally wanted to climb into the book and smack them

All in all, I really enjoyed this story and will be looking for more from this author.

Bowled (To Love a Sportsman Book 1)Bowled by Pamela Q. Fernandes
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Bowled: Facing the Yorker of Love was a great 5 star read and book one in the To Love a Sportsman series. I was pulled in right from the beginning.

This is Rose and Mathew’s story. These two originally meet with Rose tweets something that challenges Mathew. Mathew steps up and accepts the challenge.

Rose goes to New York to see her boyfriend, when she sees him he is absolutely horrible to her. She ends up with some bruises inside and out and is confused as to why he’s acting like this.

Rose is staying at Mathew’s home in New York, Mathew can tell something isn’t right. There is something about her that draws him in and he wants more with her. He tries to cheer her up by taking her out on the town and showing her New York. Just when you think things are going great a huge twist is thrown in and everything goes south quickly. Mathew feels lied to once again by a woman and quickly pushes Rose away. He was terrible to her, my heart broke during this scene.

Rose did everything she could to keep herself busy and her mind off of Mathew, she finished her education and became a part of an election team with the goal of a possible chair on the ministry of education. What she doesn’t realize is that Mathew has been keeping tabs on her.

There is so much more to this story. It was so back and forth I didn’t know how to feel at times.
My emotions were all over the place anger, hurt and LOL Pamela Q. Fernandes has a great writing style that I really enjoy. You feel like your right there with the characters. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story and I hope to see more from some of them. If you’re looking for a read that throws you twists and turns this is the read for you. I look forward to reading more from this author and series.

Bowled: Facing the Yorker of Love (To Love a Sportsman Book 1) by Pamela Q. Fernandes is a sports romance. This story features two characters that each have a past that has shaped how they handle and approach their present. Mathew is a star on and off the field, but when life deals him a hand he doesn’t exactly want, we follow how he takes this turn of events and maneuvers these. Rose is cautious in almost all things and the way she holds herself, separates her from so many others. This makes her shine so brightly and it is about to shift both her world and Mathew’s full tilt! This story was a great read and Pamela Q. Fernandes is a talented author!

Wayward (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 1)Wayward by Via Mari
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wayward by Via Mari a four-star read that will make you feel the dance. This is the first in the Billionaire Bodyguards series, and it shows promise of being another sublime series from this author. If you read the Prestian series you may see a couple of people popping up, but you don’t need to have read that one before you read this. Sasha Koslov is a complex character, I struggled with her at times as she was so complex, but once I got to know her, she really shined. Her relationship with Jay was equally as complex, but that is a different story all together. There is a great build in this story, and you will be turning the pages quicker and quicker, just to see what happens next. Bring on number two, I can’t wait.

Too Hot to Handle is the third book in The Catch Series. I was drawn in from the beginning and I couldn’t put it down till the end. This can be read as a standalone but I do suggest reading the first two books as it enhances your enjoyment of all the characters. Georgia and Tony .She is a online blogger who just found out her fiance married the Mayor’s daughter. She sets out to win him back in the process she meets Tony, he’s a firefighter who takes her home because she was to drunk and he didn’t know where she lived. These two definitely have attraction to each other. Tony comes to the rescue more than one time. I found myself chuckling at times and shaking my head at other times. Georgia is a hot mess. Find out what happens next in this must read Book. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Wayward (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 1) by Via Mari is a romantic suspense by the author that wrote the A Prestian series. I enjoyed that series, but something about this latest book/series has stepped it up further and I loved every minute of what the author provided in this story. The premise of this story, provided in the synopsis, is only the tip of the iceberg for this captivating read. The author digs immediately in delivering epic dialogue and intriguing suspense that speaks to the reader making this story addicting, unable to put it down. The characters were incredible and their “adventures” make this story unforgettable. Via Mari is an excellent author and that talent shines in Wayward.

Too Hot to Handle (The Catch #3) by Avery Scott. This is a new to me author. When I read this blurb, I knew that I just had to read this book!!! I did not read the previous books but after reading this one, I am definitely going back and reading them!!!
This book was just like its title, too hot to handle, I could not and did not want to put this book down. A hot, sexy firefighter, what could possibly be better?
Throw in Georgia, who I trying to get her ex fiancé back…. after he dumps her…. When Tony gives her the idea for her to use him to make Chaz jealous, will it work or is it going to backfire in both of their faces….
This book will keep you turning the pages to see what is going to happen next. I loved it and I hope you do also!!!

This is my third book by this author and I really enjoyed this one as much as I did the first. There are many reasons I like the premise of these stories and one of them is the canines that play a large part of the storylines, Im a sucker for that and I was not disappointed in this one.

I also love the one night stand that happens in the past and then comes back later to play a part in their lives, those are some of my favorites and how this one came back into their lives was great. There were a couple twists in this story that totally caught me off guard and again something that makes a book great in my opinion. I read this in one sitting as I could not put it down once I got started.

Linc and Meredith had that spark that is undeniable and of course there are way too many complications to make that as easy as it should be. This one had me feeling all the feels and I was pulling for them the entire book. I was a bit worried towards the end and wanted to slap someone and would have if I couldve.

I highly recommend reading these books, you won’t be sorry and each one can be read as a stand alone

Loved it! I can’t wait for more from this author.

Aiko (Heartstrings Book 1) by Brooke May was a fun, engaging, pulling read that had me hooked in seconds!

Oh my, this book was something else I tell you. I don’t think I’ve ever had so much pure fun reading a romantic book before. Witty, funny, sassy, this book has a little bit of everything, while carrying this light hearted tone that you can’t help but fall into. Akio was on hell of a special kind of MC, and I loved every minute of it. There are few MC’s that I love right away, and even less that I would want to actually meet in real life, Aiko though, Aiko is my girl. There’s just something about her that I connected to, and I believe that just made this book for me, all the more enjoyable.

Overall this little wonder packs a punch and it will get your feels, funny bone and eyes rolling. The detail will pull you in, but the characters will have you staying the night. The richness that this world brings, as well as well researched mythology, will spark a new kind of interest. This book is truly one of a kind.

With that said please take my super high recommendation and my golden stamp of approval ,that you will get lost in this magical weird world of love, war, and sass.

Happy Reading

This is a fast read with a very clear direction (although I did think it was going to go a certain way for a whlle) and it was easy to follow along. Each character plays a vital role in the story and there is no filler taking up space.

AIKO is one of those books that I would recommend to lovers of any romance, including an elderly book club.

The story The Fisher Men X My Heart (The Fisher Men Book 1) by Rebel Nicks O’Dey is a book that hooked me in from the very beginning and I found myself lost in both the storyline and characters. I enjoyed reading about Morgan, Connor, Xander, and Zack. Also known as The Fisher Men. I also enjoyed reading about the young woman who is coming home and wanting to claim one of them. The dynamics between The Fisher Men and the young woman is a strong bond. They are her protectors and each one has helped her in their own way. What will happen when the young woman makes her claim on one of the brothers? Is there any future for them? Read this book to find out. I found this story to be very emotional. There are heartbreaking and heartwarming moments and dialogue. This book shows the power of love and friendship. I also enjoyed reading about many of the additional characters that are introduced in the story. I love that many of the characters have such kind and caring hearts. They are likable and I found myself caring about many of them with each chapter that I read. Don’t miss out on a story that has unforgettable characters and you will not want to put down until you have read the final page. Highly recommended.

The Matchmaker’s Match was a really nice romantic read! It was well written and whilst it is the third book in the series it is perfectly fine to read as a standalone! It has definitely made me want to read the others in the series too! Because I found the story so easy to read I read it quite quickly. I really liked the characters and thought that they were likeable and relatable! I liked that the characters path to a HAE wasn’t all plain sailing, there were some unexpected twists and turns which made the story a little less predictable than I thought it was going to be! There were a few times where I really felt a huge connection to Meredith and I think although detailed the author approached everything really respectfully.
Overall I thought that this was a really lovely read and I would recommend it to other readers! I look forward to reading more from Ms Flockton again in the future!

The story Aiko (The Heartstrings Series Book 1) by Brooke May is a romantic comedy. It drew me in from the very beginning and I found myself lost in the book. There are moments that I was smiling as well as laughing out loud. There are other moments that were touching. I loved reading about the characters of Aiko and Alejandro Gomez. Aiko could be given the title of worst cupid ever. Her past is littered with disaster. What will happen when she is given Alejandro as her new assignment? Alejandro is a man who is kind, caring, and has a generous heart. His love life is a different matter altogether. Read this book to find out what happens. Aiko and Alejandro are characters that are likable, and I grew to care about. The author has created a story that is entertaining, wonderful to read, and has unforgettable characters. I would highly recommend reading it.
