Forever is book #9 in this series and I would encourage everyone to read the other books. I def felt like I landed in the living room of a family I didn’t know yet. To say I didn’t want to put it down is an understatement. It has great characters, great action, and great plot line. Gemma comes across kind of superficial at first, but she grew on me as book went on. A few twists in this story that I actually didn’t see coming so that was fun. Needless to say I will be reading other books in the series!

This fantasy horror/thriller really had me at the edge of my seat the entire time. It starts out with a few different perspectives and then settles into the main characters. I felt like I was right there along with them, trying to figure things out and trying to navigate complex emotions. I really can’t see what happens next!

Forever:A Diamond Doms novel, is the last book of this series. I enjoy a good BDSM book and this book does not disappoint. This is my first read of the series and although I hadn’t been introduced to the characters before, it was easy to follow along. On top of the kink in this book, the underlying storyline between the characters, keeps you on our toes and is a great way to finish out the series. I can’t wait to go back and start at the beginning of the books and get introduced to all the characters in each of their own stories.

I was intrigued by this book and have learned some of my limits on what sort of things interest me in that world. There were some things I never would have ever considered, but we all like things that other people don’t quite understand.
I have not read the other books in this series which I think was a disadvantage because there were several established characters and their storylines that I didn’t have the background on, well at least not yet. I would suggest reading these in order since this tied up loose ends.
Russell was a great guy is seemed but too intense for me. He certainly knew how to care for a woman, lucky Gemma. He would give her exactly what she needed and cared for her more than I think a normal partner work.
I envy Gemma in some ways. She knew what she needed, had no problems (mostly) vocalizing her needs and enjoyed every moment.
I would like to go back and read the others in this series so I can find out how everyone ended up where they were.

This is a new author for me which I enjoyed from beginning to end. This is a well written story that took me on an adventure of magic and creative characters that made the story fun and entertaining to read. The characters are not only relatable but brought the story to life on each page. This is a fast paced story that is engaging and hard to put down. Alda is a world that is broken and as a result of that the magical tree and Elf-kind are dying. Creatures and humans are hiding out in their homes. What happens next you will need to read this book to find out. There is a lot happening but the author did a great job of keeping details straight and not confusing. It is worth the pick up and I am glad that I did. I really enjoyed the adventure it took me on and highly recommend this book.

Ashes of Aldyr by Russell Archey is the First book in the Obscured Throne Trilogy. This is an absolutely captivating book that I juat could not put down. I knew that I was going to be in for a treat when even the blurb of the book got me excited but I was not expected to be so blown away! I was engrossed in this book right right the word go and loved every second of it. I thought the story was so unique. It isn’t like anything I have read before and that made the whole thing even more excited. I loved this authors writing style too. It just sweeps you up with the story and pulls you along for the ride. It is the first book that I have read by this author and it is a fantastic introduction. This is easily one of the strongest starts to a series I have read for a long time and I cannot wait to get my hands on book two.

I really enjoyed this first book in The Obsecured Throne Trilogy. The author has a fantastic way of writing that makes the story believable even though the characters are mystical. This is a really dark fantasy adventure that keeps you gripped from the beginning and doesn’t let go. At first I found it a bit confusing as it is a story with different characters and than spans time, however it wasn’t so complicated that it was hard to read.
This is a story that will drag you in. It is the first story in a while that I have truelly lost myself in. I lost all concept of time while reading this book as I couldn’t put it down without knowing what was going to happen next. I really can’t wait to read the next book in this Trilogy.

The world is broken and not as we know it. Fantasy creatures. Unfortunately for me this book didn’t capture me at all. I keep dipping in and out as I couldn’t connect to the characters and found it a hard read. However the writing style is nicely done.

“He looked to his left at the aldyr tree that grew precariously near the edge of that mighty drop. It should have remained blooming throughout the fall and winter despite cold, darkness, and snow. Now, it was dead—a lifeless reminder of what was happening to his world. Lush and full of timeless vigor, the aldyrs are sacred to the world. Now, they all lay dry and lifeless; broken like the world that once was.”
Ashes of Aldyr is the first book in The Obscured Throne Trilogy by Russell Archey. This is my first read by Mr. Archey, so I really didn’t know what to expect from his work- but the title , cover and blurb captured my attention, so I grabbed a copy and set off to explore. This is a really great start to the trilogy- which, if this book is anything to go by, looks set to be fantastic. I loved Mr. Archey’s darker take on an epic fantasy story- weaving an action-packed adventure I won’t soon forget. He has a bold and dynamic style that really works well with this genre. His world building skills are also excellent- crafting a world that came to life before my eyes. It was so easy to imagine everything he was describing, like it was playing out on a screen, not merely words written on a page. I can see this making a great movie or television series. This is a bit of a multi-layered story- with a bit of a dystopian feel in places. The storyline is quite original, with lots of dramatic developments and other clever and unique touches that made the story an intense page turner. I started the story thinking I would just read a few chapters and then go to bed- well, several hours later and wayyy past my bedtime, I finally finished and came up for air. Sleep is over-rated…. right?. This is a series I definitely want to continue…. I am hooked and can’t wait for more- the sooner the better! If you love fantasy with a darker, edgier feel- then this is definitely the book/series for you! Bring on Book #2!

This book was very interesting to read, I was not expecting the way or how this book is written. I enjoyed it very much thou and couldn’t put it down. I just had to find out what was going to happen next. The many story lines with the book really had me wanting to find out what was going on. And everything to do with the aldry trees. This book was very entertaining to read, and a page turner. Can’t wait for what’s going to happen next.

This book literally had me hooked right from the start! I can not begin to say how good and amazing this book was as well as the this amazing author’s writing. I felt I was right there with the story as well as enduring the dark danger that lurked near by! his was a must read for sure, highly recommended!
In truth, these branches were sacred. They each had a piece of life, and had t be protected and upheld, power comes with a price, and if the wrong hands were to obtain it, who knows what would happen right? The story as well as the branches the story and plot weaved, were so convincing and griping, I was sucked in learning and questioning all things. I loved the take on the fantasy mixed with some horror. This book had quickly become of my favorites. I loved this amazing novel, there was a lot of wonderment and suspense for me upon reading, and I could not put this down, I had more answers to seek!
This is a novel that is the start of a new series, and I will defiantly with an anxious heart be waiting for the next installment. This is a book that you really need to read, and to truly understand my love for this book to feel the feelings I had upon reading, the characters and their stories, it can truly be felt from the reader. The author knew exactly what they were doing when they wrote this! Yes, I was highly impressed the story keeps you interested and brings more things to light when you think you have figured something out, its gripping and full of amazement even at the dark moments!
The book is a perfect blend of fantasy for my linking, and the hint of darkness and horror was very much welcomes. I was on the edge of my seat for the duration I was hooked right in from the beginning and I could not let go, perhaps I was held together by branches of something pulling me back? All I know is that this book surpassed my expectations and truly was awesome! High recommendation for this book!

“The world of Alda is broken, destroyed by an event the survivors call “The Rupture.” The aldyrs, magical trees connected to the soul of the world which once grew in breathtaking groves, are dead. Elf-kind, who shared a close bond with these trees, are dying out as a result. The dwarves have retreated into their mountain homes. Humans gather in crumbling settlements. Sinister, god-like beings, each uniquely horrific, exert their influences over the world. Each story is a different thread forming a larger tapestry that shows the scope of the horror and insanity brought by the elusive and mind-numbing entity known as the Obscure Throne. The world was once saved from this threat and Alda was hidden and sealed away by 55 seals. Now, an ancient and shadowy cult called the Black Gnarl have broken enough seals to expose Alda to the Obscure Throne…and It’s coming.”
Russell Archey has been writing since he was old enough to hold a pencil. His love for narratives, world-building, and story-telling has fed into nearly every aspect of his life: from his video and board game hobbies to pressing his most cherished books onto his unfortunate children (who will, one day, read the Lord of the Rings trilogy whether they like it or not). When he’s not creating new worlds and horrifying things to threaten them with destruction, he’s bringing other author’s fantastic works to life as an audio book narrator, spending time with his two children, and pressing his dear wife’s eternal patience with his quirky habits.

Good Ending This is the last book of the Diamond Doms Series. This book was a really good end to the series. I’ve read the previous books and fell in love with them and all the relationships along the way. This book showed a great side of Russell but I wish there was more from Gemma. I will say the book did wrap up any previous questions and reintroduced you to previous characters in the series.

What a beautiful peek inside a sadist/masochist relationship. The sparks between Russell and Gemma set the pages on fire! This book is full of action, heat and romance and gives such an inside look at what a great relationship between a sadist and a masochist can be like. Gemma has to fully trust Russell in order to play out some of the scenes that she does with him. Even though she doesn’t fully realize that she has fallen for him and trusts him until much later in the book, it’s quite apparent that she does. It just wouldn’t work if she didn’t. Russell is such an amazing guy, even though he’s been badly hurt in the past, he is so tender with her at times and does not once take advantage of her. This book wrapped up the series beautifully and gave peeks at what the other couples were up to and how their live were progressing as well.

This is the last book in this series and I went into this book blind. The biggest complaint that I have is that I started this series on the last book. I will be going back to read the rest of them as soon as possible. So this book was majorly hot. Ivy Nelson had me glued to Russell and Gemma’s story. There were a few things that I was confused about but that could be due to not reading the books from the beginning. Overall it was a good read.

I was excited to find out how this series ended and see the resolution to the overarching storyline. I was also excited for Gemma and Russell’s book. They have instant chemistry, and I loved watching their relationship play out. Russel is a sadist and Gemma is a masochist, so it was not quite what I generally enjoy, but I knew going in, and it didn’t detract from the story for me. And even though it was not my favourite book in the series, I am glad I read it.
The story was okay, but I felt like some parts were skimmed or skipped over, and I was disappointed that one scene in particular was not played out, we saw the set up and found out the aftermath of it, but no real details on *how* it happened were shared.
**spoilers** I wasn’t a fan of how one-sided the reconciliation was. Gemma took all the blame for what happened and Russell took very little, even though I feel it was not her fault, other than lack of communication.

This book is the ninth book in the series, however, this book can be read as a standalone. I will say though, I cannot imagine not wanting to read the other books with an author this good! Ivy Nelson seems well educated on the fetishes and has such a great writing style. I can’t wait to read more!
Following Russell and Gemma was a treat! Russell has a problem though, he can’t be with a married woman but he knows his lust can’t hold out for long. Matthew and Gemma have to be 100% clear with Russell exactly what their relationship is. Everything that follows is written so well! Nelson did a great job on the series! @karenmmarsh

Forever is book nine in the Diamond Doms series by Ivy Nelson. I am new to this author’s work, so I am entering this series at the wrong end. BUT!!! In no way did that take anything away from this story. This story was sexy, very arousing, intriguing and just totally enthralling. I was very intrigued by the very short blurb. It drew me in instantly. I had to know about this couple and try to work my way around all that I missed from coming in for the last book. The characters were insatiable and very entertaining. I was drawn to the way the author portrayed each character. The interaction between them was magnetic and impossible to drag your attention away from. This was a one sitting read for me. I could not put it down. There is nothing better than a take charge man who is dominant but considerate. They are not afraid to be heavy handed but it is all with the care of their partner foremost in their minds. There was so much to this story that tickled my senses and appealed to my little smutty mind. It was so well and respectfully written, with suspense, mystery and lots of energetic activity. Hats off to Ivy Nelson. I done things backward by reading the last book first, but I am definitely going to be purchasing the entire series and diving in asap. A steamy hot and cleverly written story that will get the blood pumping and the heart racing. But do yourself a favour and start from book one to experience all that I am sure this series is. 5 stars.

This was my first romance book that featured BDSM and boy did it take me by a surprise! This book left nothing to the imagination when it comes to describing exactly what’s going on. The only reason for the 3 stars is that this isn’t my jam when it comes to reading. The book has a strong plot, but the BDSM was a little much for me. The book did make me want to become a secret spy because of all the action that place.

What can I say, other than my partner will be forever grateful to Ivy Nelson for this series? I never thought that I would develop an interest in the BDSM lifestyle, nor find enjoyment out of reading this type of novel, but I can certainly say both are on my radar now. I do have the full series of Diamond Doms in my collection, however, did not have the ability to read all of them prior to this marvelous conclusion. Luckily, I found it quite easy to piece together most of what has transpired before Russell and Gemma’s story. I truly do look forward to reading the rest of this series as soon as time permits!
At the very start of this action, crazy love story, you’re pulled into Solitaire, pretty much the most frequented, and ultimate retreat for many of the characters, being that it provides them with the place to do what they all embrace in their BDSM lifestyles. Immediately, we are curious about Gemma, and Russell and how the two of them will get along. There is an immediate ZING in the air between them, and it’s nearly impossible to put the book down because the amount of curiosity built in this first chapter carries on throughout the entire novel. This love story is a bonus to the action plot that this group has to endure and resolve, which in itself, is mind-blowing. If you’re looking for an action-packed, edge of your seat read, with the most intriguing, descriptive sex scenes you could ever imagine, this book is for you! I have nothing but good things to say about the craftsmanship that went into creating this work of art, thank you, Ivy Nelson, for this new venture. Highly recommend!

Ivy Nelson officially has me hooked! This book had everything you need to get your fix on dominant, alpha type men! I could not put this book down once I began. Russell and Gemma definitely heated up the pages, but also gave us a few tender moments. While the book does have some very intense BDSM there is also a fair amount of danger and suspense. We also get to explore the loving side of Russel when it comes to Gemma. This was my second book by Ivy Nelson but I can say I will definitely be exploring the entire series.

This is the 9th book in the Diamond Doms series. This is a Dark Romance novel and is 322 pages in length. This story follows Russell and Gemma. Russell is tasked with keeping his friends wife, Holly, safe, along with her bff, Gemma. The problem with Gemma, is she is a giant pain in the rear. But one he kind of likes. So much so, she makes his dom side twitch. But he cannot lose focus on the task at hand. People could die. This was a great ending to a great series.

Forever was first my novel by Ivy Nelson, and I found it rather interesting. This novel was not an introduction to a sadist and masochist sub-lifestyle but a deep plunge. There were certain scenes that I found uncomfortable, but Ivy’s creative writing style kept me engaged. I liked the chemistry between Russell and Gemma- the struggle between head and heart was very relatable. Forever is encompassed with hot off the charts chemistry, suspense, action and mystery.

Forever is the 9th and final instalment in the Diamond Doms series by Ivy Nelson. I have done this completely backwards and started reading this series by reading the final book. I enjoyed it so much and I’m intrigued by so many of the other couples in it that I have the first 8 books on my kindle now and hope to find time to read them soon. This book is filled with so much drama, intrigue and danger. I was glued to it from the very beginning and just didn’t want to put it down. As well as the drama and intrigue, this is a BDSM book. It’s unlike any BDSM book that I have ever read. I had never previously read a book that contained sadism/masochism. I really had my eyes opened with some of the workings of this kind of relationship. I have to admit that one of the acts that Gemma, the masochist, liked to have carried out on her, really disturbed me. I had no idea that this was something any woman would ever want carried out on her. This did not affect my enjoyment of the book. It just surprised me a great deal. I do have to say that I absolutely loved reading Russell and Gemma’s story. Both are amazing characters that I could have read so much more about. I definitely recommend this book and I look forward to reading the first 8 books in the series.

I loved the characters and reading about them has been amazing, Gemma was a great female lead, not what I expected – she could definitely hold her own! She had a great amount of sassiness about her! Russell was a great Dom – exactly how I like my Doms!! I loved the chemistry between the two characters! I haven’t read all of the books in the series but I absolutely want to now, this was a brilliant read and I would highly recommend it!

I love BDSM stories and this was not a disappointment. The Solitaire Club is in danger of being destroyed, but by who? Russell is in charge of keeping two women safe, Holly and Gemma. Holly’s husband is out of the country for a business trip. Gemma and her husband are getting divorced, but Russell has his own rules. He is willing to dominate her, but not have intimacy with her till the divorce is final. This is the first story in this series I have read and will be going to read the other books to get some more of the backstories of the other couples. I love the attitude and mouthiness of Gemma , I am also a bratty submissive so she calls to my heart. I really enjoyed Ivy Nelson’s writing, even though this is a BDSM story, it wasn’t all about sex. Who is trying to destroy the club? How is the enemy getting through the lines of security as easily as they are? I love stories like this that make me feel so many emotions and rushing to turn the pages to find out what is next.

I didn’t realize this was part of a series. I have no read any books prior to this one but, I may have to read the last few at some point to understand the characters better
I did like the character and the chemistry between them. The book was alittle much compared to what I usually read. I love a good Dom / Sub book but this one was much more then I like to read. Russell was married once before and every time he meets a sub, there is something missing. No one has ever been able to get him to take the next step past a scene. Will Gemma be the one to get to him and give him what he needs. I thought this book was well written and was able to hold my attention.

I was silly and didn’t realize this book was one of many in the series. It didn’t seem to matter though and I thoroughly enjoyed it! All of the characters are so entertaining and this steamy book was great from start to finish. I xant wait to go back and read all of the books from the series! This author gained a serious fan!

Forever by Ivy Nelson is book nine of the Diamond Doms series. I didn’t read any of the other books in this series before jumping into this one. I don’t feel like I lost any of the story but if you want to meet all of the characters, you should start at the beginning. I will definitely be going back and reading the rest of the series.
Russell has to keep Holly and Gemma safe. That’s his only priority. Gemma sure doesn’t make that an easy task. There are people after Club Solitaire and part of Russell’s past May hold the key. Russell didn’t expect to feel anything for Gemma but once he sees her, there is instant attraction. Both Gemma and Russell have some baggage that gets in their way. Russell doesn’t really do relationships and Gemma’s been through a lot recently but maybe they can act on this attraction. The attraction between Russell and Gemma is just the beginning of what his book covers. There is so much mystery, danger and intrigue you can’t wait to find out what happens.
This was a good read, even coming into the series at the end. I did, however, feel like there there was a lot of Holly’s storyline in this book even though it was more Russell and Gemma’s book but otherwise it was a good read and the characters were great!
