Forgetting Ophelia by Julie C. Gardner is a must read! It’s been added to my list of favorites, if I could I would give it 10 stars. I ended up reading this book in one sitting as I couldn’t bring myself to put it down. I immediately felt invested in Lia’s story and I couldn’t wait to figure out how everything would play out, and I was not disappointed!
I loved everything about Lia’s journey to self-discovery and self-love even though I couldn’t personally relate I still found her to be very inspiring. This is a book I can see myself re-reading time and time again!
I can’t wait to dive into my next read by this phenomenal author!

The Reckless Anthology is a fabulous read from beginning until end. This anthology consists of 4 incredible novellas by 4 phenomenal authors. Layla’s Chance by Mika Jolie, Dirty Martinis by P.M. Carson, Into the Deep by Kylie Stewart and finally The Spy Who Kissed Me by Sharla Lovelace. All these books are well worth the read, however, two of them really stood out to me!
Layla’s Chance by Mika Jolie is such an amazing novella that hooked me right from the get-go. It’s steamy, sexy, romantic and oh so hot! The story flowed really well given the length and I really enjoyed this authors writing style, she was able to connect me to these characters in just a handful of chapters.
Dirty Martinis by P.M. Carson is the best novella I’ve ever read! It’s non-stop go, steamy, romantic and incredibly emotional. This novella ended much too soon for my liking as I could have continued reading about these characters for hours. I can’t wait to read more from this author in the future as I enjoyed this story so very much.
Honestly, I have no complaints about this anthology. It was phenomenal from beginning until end and I’m so happy that I dove right in. I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for their next romance reads!

The Moon In Her Eyes: a witch’s tale by Nikki Broadwell. This is one of the few Fantasy books I’ve read and at the beginning I wasn’t sure I would like it but it sucked me in right until the very end. Is about a witch named Emeline in 1694 who lives among the Wampanoag Tribe. She is happiest here with her husband the love of her life. When circumstances cause her to have to time travel it messes everything up including her love life. She spends most of the book trying to find the answers to fix everything that was messed up with the time travel. When the timelines get all mixed up it makes everything go crazy. Can Emeline fix the mess she’s made and does she know who she can trust to help her. This book will keep you turning the pages wanting to see what happens. I will read more of these books!

This is the second book in the Confectioner Chronicles Series and I suggest reading Book 1 first as this picks up only a short time after the first story ends.
As with book 1, THE CONFECTIONER’S COUP is full of well developed / well defined characters. There were a few times I was getting characters from the first book confused but there are simple explanations as to who is who which did not bog down the story.
This story has a bit more twists and turns and isn’t as shiny and bright as one would expect. I think it’s a perfect combination of dark and light – well balanced. There are characters I do not care for and that’s what makes it interesting for me. I was anxious to see if the story would go “my way” so I kept turning the pages.
I think this book would be appropriate for middle school and higher for those that like to read fantasy stories (not THOSE kinds of fantasies).
Fatal Legislation a Karina Cardinal Mystery is the second and brilliant book in the series by Ellen Butler. I enjoyed the first book but loved this one. Ellen has come up with a story that is full of danger and mystery, drama and suspense, intrigue and politics and has done a wonderful job of weaving it all together and making it into a gripping read. Throw in the FBI, an assassin, secret operatives and Karina Cardinal and you have a compelling murder mystery and an unpredictable story that you cannot put down. So much so I read it in one sitting. It has a fast pace read but it flows smoothly and is so, so, easy to read and get lost in. Karina Cardinal cracks me up. The situations she finds herself in sometimes boggles the mind. Her trusty side kick had me laughing out loud and I hope he continues in further stories. Karina is smart and hardworking, sassy and independent and once she is on to something she won’t let go and her boyfriend is determined she is going to give him a heart attack. Ellen is a great storyteller, leaving us hanging on every word and guessing the whole way through to the end. Trust me Ellen is one author that everyone should put on their read list. I cannot wait for the next Karina installment.

The Crazy Yates by Kimberly Packard is a very short, sweet and refreshing Christmas story about love and family and the things we do for them. I loved the characters and their situation will have your emotions all over the place .
Callie had to grow up fast, but she is one amazing selfless and hardworking woman and when it comes to family she will do anything to see them happy.
This is a Christmas story that everyone should read and be reminded of the magic of Christmas.
Surviving the Storm (Surviving Series Book 2) By: Virginia Wine 5 out of 5 stars
The story Surviving the Storm (Surviving Series Book 2) by Virginia Wine is a contemporary romance book. It is a story that I loved reading and once started I got lost in its pages. The book does have some mystery and suspense that had me wondering what was going to happen next. I loved reading about the characters of Alexander Kincaid Storm III and Madison Perry. You can tell that these two have chemistry together. There is a passion that burns within them for each other. However, Madison is unavailable. His feelings for her are strong. There is a pull between them. Is there any chance of a future for Alexander and Madison? Read this book to find out. This story not only has the amazing main characters of Alexander and Madison, it also has characters that are brought forward from the first book in the series. I loved reading about the interactions and bantering that goes on between Alexander and Madison as well as their interactions with the other characters. This is a story that had my emotions going up and down right along with the characters. I found myself caring deeply about them and wanted them to find happiness. There are some steamy scenes in this book that will make the temperature in the room rise. There are heartbreaking as well as heartwarming moments. This is a wonderful continuation of the Surviving Series. I look forward to reading the next story.

The Crazy Yates By: Kimberly Packard 5 out of 5 stars
The story The Crazy Yates by Kimberly Packard is a wonderful holiday book that I enjoyed reading. It is both heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. I enjoyed reading about the characters, especially Callie. Callie is a young woman that has had to grow up too soon. She loves her family and faces a situation that has her both worried and feeling helpless. I could empathize with Callie as she tries to find the best way of dealing with her current situation. The story is inspirational and had my emotions going up and down while reading. The holidays are a special time of the year. What kind of holiday will Callie and her family have? Read this book to find out. It is a story that will stay with you even after you are done reading. Highly recommended.

The Moon in Her Eyes: A Witch’s Tale is a paranormal romance, thriller, suspenseful drama by Nikki Broadwell. A fantasy brought to life, Emaline is a quirky time travelling witch who embarks on many adventures, providing endless action and intrigue.
This author keeps a reader on their toes, and I never knew what to expect next. Having read this author’s work before, it was truly eventful and eye opening. Lines are blurred. Past from reality. I was constantly surprised and brazenly glued to the pages.
I loved reading about Emaline’s adventures that never once lacked excitement and constantly gave more with each chapter. 4 stars

While some bonds break, fate built theirs to last forever.
Winning the battle against Melia was supposed to give Trinity and Blain a chance to live a normal life. The problem is another evil has taken the Rogue’s place, shattering any promise of a future Trinity hoped to have with her sworn guardian.
Darkness now controls Blain.
Freeing his soul is a challenge Trinity gladly accepts, but rescuing the love of her life comes with one major complication. To save him she must go through Cronus, the ancient god who holds Blain’s light hostage.
Every Watcher Trinity enlisted failed.
Nothing is too extreme if it releases Blain. Summoning a forgotten god is dangerous, but for help in the fight against Cronus it’s worth the risk. In the end, she’ll even gamble her own soul to set Blain’s free.
Protecting humankind isn’t just a destiny Trinity was born to uphold—it’s her rite of passage. One that may cost her life.

This is composed of four awesome novellas by four authors. All of them are new to me but after reading this I will for sure be reading more by all of them. The novellas are titled Layla’s Chance, Dirty Martinis. Into the Depp and The Spy Who Kissed Me. All of them had fantastic characters (some were freakin hilarious!!) and I just wanted to be their friends and go have a coffee date with them. Each of the four women had something big in their lives change suddenly and none of them were prepared to deal with it. It was interesting to see how they navigated through their problems and at some points I wasn’t sure if they’d make it out on the other side. Each story is amazing in its own way and I highly recommend reading this anthology!

I jumped into this book quickly. What a fantastic new world the author has created. Complex and detailed, this dystopian fantasy felt realistic and relatable. The author gives the main character a great voice. The universe created for these characters is one I look forward to visiting again very soon.

This is the first 3 books in the series and I absolutely loved all three of them! Each one of them is a different couple and their stories as they strive for something better. One word to describe these couples is CHEMISTRY! And a lot of it. These stories were hot and steamy and I couldn’t get enough of each of them. I am looking forward to reading more by this author and I would recommend this to a friend.

Claiming Her Mates: Book One by Dia Cole Four Stars
Claiming Her Mates: Book One is a paranormal shifter romance Series by Dia Cole. This is the first book I have read by Ms. Cole, but definitely won’t be the last. This book had me hooked from the very first page and I couldn’t put it down until the last. Havana is such a fabulous heroine in this story that will have you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. This book has a little of everything, Zombies, Werewolf shifters, Worldwide pandemic and steamy reverse harem romance between Havana and the Lykos shifter’s. This fast paced, action pact story is full of intrigue, suspense, drama, mystery and hot romance. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more from Dia Cole.

A Pink Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott is the third book in this series. I fell in love with Shelby the cat from the moment we met her but I’m a sucker for pets and the ways they show their love.
Billie moves home after living in the City for the past five years and the moment she gets home thoughts of her ex-boyfriend Leroy pop into her mind and don’t leave, especially after she finds out about the deuce.
Leroy gave up so much for loved ones but it seems that sacrifice and patience pays off.
I really enjoyed this story and looking forward to reading the final book in this series.

Reckless: A Steamy Contemporary Romance Anthology by Mika Jolie, Kylie Stewart, P.M. Carson and Sharla Lovelace was exactly as advertised. There were some pretty steamy moments along with moments that made you laugh, gasp and flip the page quickly to see what happens next.
Layla’s Chance by Mika Jolie is the first book in the anthology. Layla and Chance start off with major sparks between them and it doesn’t let up the entire time these together. I think most women in their thirties and forties have thought about the young hot musician, Layla actually gets him. I loved how her stories are all connected in some way and will be reading more from her.
Into The Deep by Kylie Stewart grabbed me from the very beginning of the story. I don’t know what is was about Gemma and Grayson’s story that grabbed me but it did. I think the moment on the table at his house had me fanning myself.
Dirty Martinis and the Spy Who Kissed me were also great books. I found myself getting mad at Rachel in Dirty Martinis and on the edge of my seat in Spy Who Kissed Me.

A Frothy Christmas Kiss is the 4th book in the Christmas Kiss series by Allyson Abbott. It is a holiday romance about two people being brought together by coffee and falling in love. It is a great quick little read, and is perfect to knock out on a cold day, bundled on the couch. Or was that just me… Regardless, I recommend it, as its a cute story about Kat and Dan. Kat has moved to a new city, and loves trying new places. One day she finds an adorable little coffee shop, with the best scents, and menu board. Even better is the cute barista, who turns out to be the owner and creator of the most wonderful coffee blends. Both have instant attraction and are drawn to each other. A huge misunderstanding leads to a lot of wasted time and awkward moments. The best part of this story though, is the cat! Full of so much personality, and a expert matchmaker.

A Second Chance (Powder River Pack book 1) by Brooke May 4 stars
This is my first read by this author and I love a good shifter book. While this one didn’t focus on the shifting part, it was still there and very interesting as they weren’t the “average” werewolves!
What would you do if your mate moved away and you lost the other half of yourself? That’s what Derek is feeling for years now after Annabelle left with her mom. Hes lost the voice of his wolf, and the happiness he once felt. When she comes back to town for her father, he is eager to get his questions answered but doesn’t expect her to have the same ones. As they get answers, they learn the past wasn’t what they thought it was.
I highly recommend this book, was a very fast paced and quick read. Hope to read more of this pack.

Beats of the Heart was a great 5 star read and book one in the Lyrical Odyssey Rock Star series. I LOVED this book and Izzy and Dawson are my new favorite couple.
Izzy is excited to be joining her boyfriend on tour. She wants nothing more than to be in his arms. Dawson is the lead singer of his band and they are at the top of the charts right now with a successful tour.
When Izzy joins Dawson for a few days, they have to keep their relationship undercover. When pictures start to come out in the tabloids Dawson starts to get heat from the label. He has to start spending time out in the clubs with his band and try and look single. That’s what draws the female fans in, ugh! Izzy tries very hard to understand the situation and supports Dawson as much as she can.
Shattered bulbs can’t give off light. A broken clock can’t measure time. A shattered mirror can’t reflect the truth. A broken car can’t get from point A to point B. How does a broken, shattered heart still beat? Why is it still expected to keep us alive?
After Izzy returns home there is a HUGE twist that throws everything off. My heart was twisted all up in my chest and I was teary eyed trying to read the words. And the ending, WHY did you have to end it on a cliffhanger? I need book two now so I can see what’s coming next. This book has prompted me to create a new folder in Goodreads – Must read series/book. This is my first read from Charli B. Rose and I can’t wait to read more, I was pulled right in and the connection between Izzy and Dawson was page melting. I am on the edge waiting for book two, Notes of the Heart. This is a must read series for sure.

Reckless: A Steamy Contemporary Romance Anthology was as the title says, romantic, steamy and chalked full of mushy good feels.
A collection of four unique stories that tell the tales of finding love, connections and not giving up. Each story has its own take on love, from an older woman, to online dating, older man and woman to a kick as ending book that envoles spys. This anthology surly has it all, and I believe there is a story for everyone.
Okay I’m going to get it off my chest, as much as I like the other three stories, the last one, is a fav. It may or may not have something to do with it having spies. It was so fun right out of the gate, and packed full of action as well as romance. I do hope they get their own full length series, cause that would be epic.
As I said this anthology has a little bit of everything, lots of variety, and as each story closes and you move onto the next there is a distance separation. Each story has its own tone, writing style and voice. They didn’t bleed together, and as a whole each story can stand on and be sold on its own. Each character has their own quirks and special traits that made them noticeable and memorable, again, clearly showcasing each authors talent to pull in new readers; because I will be checking out more books by each.
Overall this anthology was a fun, hot, light hearted read that drew me in, kept me in, and succeeded in making me a fan of these authors. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will have a time reading this anthology and maybe developed some new author crushes.
This coming of age story kept me engaged from beginning to end. I enjoyed the plot and characters and felt the author did a thorough job establishing each piece in rich detail. This story is one of discovery. This emotional roller coaster ride did a noteworthy job tackling tough and relatable YA subjects that included bullying. This book and its subject felt very real, very true, and highly relatable, no matter the reader’s stage of life. I highly recommend reading this book.

A Pink Christmas Kiss by Allyson Abbott is a fun Christmas story. It is fun loving story about Billie and Leroy from small town USA. Billie hears the lights from New York City. Leroy stays behind. Billie goes home to help her family out. She runs into Leroy. Will destiny put them together again or will reality keep them apart.
One thing I really like about Allyson Abbott is that her series Christmas Kiss is that it is what you read is the story. There is not an underlying cause to pop up from nothing and make the story serious. This is just small-town love story. There are times when you will be laughing, crying, and cheering all in one. This is a simple quick read. For me this is exactly what the doctor ordered this holiday season.

The Confectioners Truth by Claire Luana is the third book in the Confectioner Chronicles. This book is the epic conclusion to an amazing series. I would highly recommend reading these in order as they won’t make much sense if you don’t. Wren and her allies are on the run and facing a new a greater enemy. Will they be able to triumph? This series has honestly got better and better with each book. I could never wait to see what would happen next. I loved jumping back into Wren’s adventure with each new story in the series. As always with this author the book was well written and utterly captivating. The way she draws you in and keeps you engaged so effortlessly through the whole series is addictive. Whenever I pick up a book of hers I know to set aside a chunk of time as I won’t be able to put it down. I cannot recommend this book and series enough.

Snatching Dianna by Seelie Kay is the first book in the Fiesty Lawyers series. This is a fast paced and intriguing tale of a young girl who may have been taken as part of a Slavs trafficking cartel and one law professors race against time to try and save her/m. This is an entirely new author for me and I found her writing style to be gripping. I wasn’t overly sure from the blurb that I would be able to get into this book however I found myself hooked quickly. The author easily juggles the dark side of this book with the fun and entertaining side she brings to it. From what I can gather you are introduced to these characters in a different story however I never felt like I was missing out from having not read it. A great book I thoroughly enjoyed.

A Pink Christmas Kiss By Allyson R. Abbott Rated 5 stars!
OMGosh! I love this story! There are so many thing I enjoyed while reading this. First off Billie being a mechanic was my favorite thing. It’s not too often we read about a girl who can handle a garage. This girl completely rocked it. Her love of cars was very evident in every look or word uttered about them. Second was the Deuce Coup. What a great way to tie the past and present as well as the characters of the story. The secondary characters (parents, best friend and old schoolmates) were enjoyable and all served their purpose and didn’t seem to overstep.
This is my favorite book in this series so far. I loved the Pink, the car and the two main characters. All so sweet with a little struggle. This book gave me some wonderful feelings while reading. I enjoyed the characters and the writing drew me in and kept me interested. Thoroughly enjoyable story about second chances. I highly recommend this one!

I love, love, LOVED this anthology; all four novellas were fantastic reads. I already adore one of the authors featured in this collection so I was super excited to read something new form her but the other three were new to me so I was looking forward to reading their work too. I think it’s safe to say I have found another three new authors to love and I definitely want to read more of their stories. Layla’s Chance by Mika Jolie was such a wonderful read and a great story to kick of this anthology. I loved Layla and Chance – oh my gosh he was so hot!!! As always this author completely captivated me by her amazing writing and characters. I forgot that I was reading a novella at times because of how full the story was, I actually didn’t want it to end I was so wrapped up in Layla and Chance’s story! Dirty Martinis by P.M. Carson was another great read. I loved reading Rachel and Drew’s story and with a lot of people meeting via online dating now I thought that this was a story that felt real to life and I could imagine the story unfolding the way it did in real life. Into the Deep by Kylie Stewart was a fun read and one that I thoroughly enjoyed. There were some really good and unexpected twists and turns that constantly had me guessing what was going to happen. I loved Grayson and Gemma and together I really did think that they made the perfect couple! The Spy Who Kissed Me by Sharla Lovelace was a really great read. I loved that although similar in character to the main in Layla’s Chance it was completely different. I loved the humour in this story and it certainly made me laugh a few times. Overall a fantastic 5 star anthology that I would highly recommend!
