Naomi is definately a favourite author of mine and I have read lots of her work. What I particularly loved about this story is the fact that I wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out. This is a M/M romance and there was danger from the beginning from the crime bosses fighting for control, and also the danger of Leilphun being in a world that for an alien being could be really unsafe if he gets with the wrong people. For a time i was concerned that Kasper was just going to use Leilphun for his abilities and help further his fight to take over the criminal underworld. But as the story progressed it was easy to see that there was more between them, especially with how Leilphun channelled his warrior to protect Kasper. I don’t want to give too much away but it is a story that gripped me from the beginning and didn’t let go.
It is another great captivating read from one of my favourite authors. I have never read a book that I haven’t enjoyed.

This is an author that I have read all of her books and loved each one. Her writing style is such that she brings life to the story and her characters just pop. This book is no different and among my favorites. This is a well written fantasy story that has romance and has a touch of suspense. A story where the characters question their worth and if they are worthy. I enjoyed these characters. They are creative, strong characters that add so much to the story. They made it easy and engaging. A short story that packs a punch and one that I read in one sitting. This is a must read for sure. I enjoyed reading this book and this author. I highly recommend this must read story.

Absolutely stunning and imaginative! This book felt like a work of art! Children Of The Wild by Krysta Tawlks gave me goosebumps the whole way through. Ethereal and vivid with a whole lot of heart! This bold work of historical fiction will bring you into its world and not let you go until the end! Elbert Dowden is a wonderful protagonist who drives the intense and sometimes painful emotions of the story and is truly unlike anything I’ve read before. Dreamscape (J.J. Morris Mysteries) by J.N. Sheats. This is the second book of this series and I highly recommend reading them in order. Its the story of Joey and the school she attends. Joey just wants to be a normal college student and after what she went thru learning about the paranormal I don’t blame her. When fires start breaking out on campus and Joey doesn’t think much about it but when she realizes Gwen is investigating she starts to wonder if this is some of the supernatural stuff. More fires are breaking out and Joey is having crazy dreams and she’s not sure what’s going on anymore. This book will grab you by the pants and have you on the edge of your seat the whole time. I loved it! Can be read as a standalone but recommend reading the 1st book to better understand this one!
This book is the third in the series and is just as good as the previous books. I loved getting to know a bit more about David and his situation. Watching his connection with Maddie develop was great to see as it felt real and genuine. The story is well written and has a great pace to it. The author always knows exactly what needs to be done to progress the story. I am really enjoying becoming more familiar with this authors work and cannot wait to discover more. This is a great book that I thoroughly enjoyed.

This book is absolutely fantastic and just what I have come to expect from this talented author. I first read this book when it was released as part of an anthology and when I saw it was being released individually, I had to get it and read it again. This book was just as good for reading the second time and reconnected with the characters immediately. The story is so engaging and exciting to read and I noticed things this time that I missed on my first read through. This author has such a skill for create detailed, interesting and captivating stories that I am happy to read again and again. I loved this book from the moment I started reading it and it only left me wanting more. I would highly recommend everything this author has ever written to any fan of the genre.

The Befallen (The Unsung and The Wolf Duology) by Cambria Williams. This is a great fantasy read. Its the story of Sloane who has a crippled leg and her hometown has been put under a curse. Everyone is fighting each other and everyone has turned into thieves. She is left with no choice but to leave her home and set off in the world. The young knight, Tolvar, meets Sloane and decides to help her try to find a cure for the curse on her town. Sloane wants nothing more than to do something so that she is known for and not just a cripple. Tolvar wants to become a better man too and with Sloane’s help maybe he can do that. This story has adventure, magic, fantasy and mystery. Such a fun adventure!

I really enjoy Naomi Valkyrie’s writing and was excited to get my hands on this one. This is the story of Leilphun, who is exiled from his home planet for standing up for what he believes in, and Kasper, the crime boss who is fighting for what is rightfully his. This is a quick read and definitely feels rushed in places, but I believe that Valkyrie could flush this story out more and really develop the characters and plot line. I really enjoyed this story but wish that it was a little more developed…there is definitely potential here. This is a MM romance and there is allusion to spice, but no direct spiciness. This is a chapter book, but don’t let that deter you from picking it up for your kiddos. It’s a fabulous read-along for littles or a great read for your older kids to read themselves. It’s filled with underwater adventure, finding magic stones, and the Loch Ness monster. As always, Wickstrom weaves important life lessons into her stories for kids to learn and adults to remember. While there aren’t as many illustrations in this book, the ones that are, are fabulously done. This is a great read. Reviewed by @meggs1717

This is a fun, quick read to take you away from cold winter days to the warm tropics. Don’t let the novella size fool you though, this story is packed full of twists, turns, and the unexpected! I’m a huge fan of C.A. King and she didn’t disappoint with this read! You could easily binge this in one sitting. Daniel is left at the alter with a pair on non-refundable honeymoon tickets that he doesn’t know what to do with. But his best friend Joey does, they are going to take that vacation and have a good time. However, unexpected things happen and things are discovered. Enjoy!

I found this childrens story to be entertaining. I read it to my grandson at bedtime and we had some nice conversations over the adventures of the children and Nessie. The author always has some wonderful lessons to be learned in the story. This was a different story than we were used to reading from this author previously yet we enjoyed it very much. My grandson loved hearing about the Loch Ness Monster after the story and talking about Nessie. He has a big imagination and this author’s story always help kick his imagination into gear even more. I was not aware that there are two to this book. We’ll have to go back and read the other.

The Alien & Crime Boss was a surprising story. A M/M romance that has the alien busting out his inner warrior to protect the crime boss who has found him. I can’t give away too much but it’s a story full of drama, adventure and some out-of-this world romance. These two go through a lot right from the beginning. It’s very interesting to watch this relationship develop because the characters are really from two different worlds. We get to watch them learn what love really is. It’s a good book for those interested in this trope.

Naomi Valkyries new book The Alien & The Crime Boss is a MM alien mafia romance tale. It also features as one of the stories in the anthology Aliens on Earth which is a limited-edition 12 book romance collection by many wonderful new and USA Today bestselling authors. I have read every one of Naomi’s books and there is not one that I have not loved. I love the quirky characters and I enjoy the different stories that Naomi comes up with this is one of my favourites. Leilphun is alone and on the run and walking into a brand-new world was safer than staying. Although Earth welcome wagon is not what he expected. Will his rescuer be his ruin or his salvation? Kasper wants to take over and watching the war means he is on track he just must wait it out. What he didn’t count on was the man he found in the ravine. What he didn’t know was his actions had changed his life. Well worth the read. Do yourself a favour and start reading her work today.

Nessie and the Living Stone is full of magic and wonder. There is much in this book that is different to some of Lois’s other books but there is still the underlying messages and teaching. I really liked the way the cover of this book caught my attention as did the beautiful illustrations. With monsters, precious stones, interesting symbols and ideals for children to learn from this is a wonderful and fun read for children of any age. It was fun to sit and reminisce about my time sitting and looking out over Loch Ness to see if Nessie would show herself. Read along as the children in this story got much more than they bargained for when on the hunt for Nessie.

Historical fantasy books aren’t typically my go to but I gave this one a shot anyways, because I simply loved the cover. The magic and the creatures is something rather newish to me but the more I read books like this the more I’m enjoying them. It’s a nice way to take a step back from reality and that’s definitely what I needed right now. Super good book with amazing characters.

Hamish, still caught in his past, won’t allow himself to love Lela. He keeps pushing her away. When Lela walks away, Hamish is devastated. When Lela is caught in a dangerous situation, Hamish realizes that he has been a fool. The rest, as they say, is history.
The story is original and well done. I enjoy the way this author adds the cultural flavor of her locations and her home, Australia. It adds a richness and depth to every story. Put this one on your TBR pile, especially if you love that Aussie flavor.

I have loved every single novel in this series, finding myself one of my newest favorite authors. Vaughn writes with such passion for her characters, each one with their flaws and obstacles in life that you learn to love and root for. Her story lines are relatable allowing you to put yourself in the novel right alongside her characters. I am sad to see this series end but even more excited to see what Vaughn has in store for her readers next. You won’t want to miss out on this series, PROMISE!

Yay, I love that we got to have another in this series. As with all the others, this one lived up to the others. We have a strong female character in Maddie. She goes through a lot of challenges. David O’Connell comes home to join his family and meets Maggie. This is one relationship that I enjoyed watching develop and grow. They have chemistry and were able to work through things. We also got to see familiar faces from the previous books. The narration was good. I do wish the male voice could have been done by a male but it was good. I enjoyed listening to the story. This author really does wonderful writing.

Wow. This was my first read by this author and it did not disappoint!
The Cold Kid Case is the first book in the Sparky of Bunker Hill Mystery series. This book was aimed toward a younger audience, but I definitely still enjoyed it. It’s set in Los Angeles in the 1930s
Sparky is on a mission to solve a mystery and clear her name. This book kept me very engaged with twists and turns.
Having read the previous books in this enjoyable series I was looking forward to this third book and I was not disappointed. It can be read as a standalone story, however the characters do crossover and I love being able to ‘catch up’ with past characters. David O’ Connell has returned to Port Townsend for his sister Teresa’s wedding having spent four years as a surgeon in Africa. His family are concerned about him as he used to be cheerful and outgoing but is now subdued and secretive. He won’t even talk about his time in Africa or his fiancée Sylvia. When David and family friend actress Maddie meet they have instant chemistry, but once his fiancée arrives for Christmas David is soon busy appeasing her. Maddie realises she needs to move on and so when she meets her co-star and local heartthrob Kilo she is soon swayed by his charm. Maddie and David know they could be good together if given the chance, but there are so many obstacles between them, and why do David’s colleagues in Africa call him “the magic man”. As usual the characters and setting are brought vividly to life through the descriptive narrative, making me feel fully immersed in the storyline.

I could not wait to get my hands on this book and from the moment I started reading I was not disappointed. This author has created an incredible series and each book just seems to get better and better. I couldn’t wait to see how things would turn out. I was hooked on this book as soon as I picked it up and I read the whole book in a single sitting. Each time I delve into these characters I love them just a little more. I love how they all cross over so much and are still so prevalent in each other’s lives. The continuity of the series is just brilliant and part of the reason why I love it so much. I cannot recommend this series highly enough and I am already looking forward to re-reading this series.

This is a lovely, sweet romantic story that is easy to connect with from the moment you start reading. I loved the characters. They were entertaining, engaging and the kind that I love to read about. This is the second book in the series, and there are references back to the first book, but it can easily be read as a standalone. The storyline was really good, and fit with the characters well. I wanted to see where the author might take them on their journey and I was definitely not disappointed. This book was well written and a great read from start to finish. It is definitely worth the time.

A Journey for Dorothy (The Reluctant Wagon Train Bride Series) by P. Creeden. I love this series so much and I’ve enjoyed getting to know each bride thru this series. In this book we meet Dorothy a widow who has lost her husband about 5 years ago. Dorothy is a volunteer nurse after working in the field for 25 years. He best friend is now her dog Scout and she is quite lonely but can’t see life going on after the death of her husband. Her sister talks her into joining the wagon train west to start a new life and get over the loss so she does. Along the way she meets Elias a pastor who has been shot on the journey. She nurses him back to health and they plan to marry to be able to continue on the wagon train because no married couples aren’t allowed. What starts out as a plan to pretend to be married starts to feel very real to them both. Dorothy isn’t sure she can get past feeling like she’s cheating on her husband and Elias knows he has real feelings for Dorothy. Can he persuade her to change her mind?
