This book is a companion novel to book one of the series and is told in Diego’s point of view. This is the first book I’ve read by this author but I am definitely going to go back and read the other books in this series.

Diego isn’t exactly having the easiest of times right now. His divorce is getting messy and nothing is going his way. Diego agrees to take over for a fellow teacher as she goes out on maternity leave. This is how he meets Cassie. It’s after some one-on-on tutoring sessions that he is beginning to fall for her. Of course that’s a no no, she’s a student. They are drawn together and Diego can’t help but wanting to be close to her.

I really enjoyed this story. It was so well written, I just got pulled right into the story. I am definitely going to read the other books in this series.

Ah, Cassie and Diego are back, but this time we get to see things through the eyes of Diego. We get too see a bit more into what he was going though with his marriage, divorce, and ultimately giving into his feelings for his student. This book can be read as a standalone, but I feel like you will have more insight from reading the first book. Being able to see things from his perspective gave me more of an understanding as a reader about some of the things said and done in Professor Valentine. A big thing for me is that the author did a POV all in one book instead of jumping around from person to person. Overall I enjoyed this quick read and will most likely read the next book in the series.

If you read Professor Valentine, you should really read this book! I Dream of Cassie, is from the Professor’s point of view. I couldn’t resist reading it when I heard it was being released.
I recommend reading Professor Valentine first then come back and read this one. It won’t disappoint. It took some time but as I got further into it, I really started to remember the story from Cassie’s point of view. Nice to see his inner turmoil over how he was feeling and what he loves about her. I Dream of Cassie: A Student-Teacher Age-Gap Romance (Kirk University) by Diana Vale

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. I Dream of Cassie is a companion story to Professor Valentine. This book is in Diego’s point of view instead of Cassie’s.

Diego is a professor at Kirk University. He is going through a rough divorce and finds himself in a tough position. He finds one of his student’s gorgeous and knows that he can’t get involved with her. The quote I chose for Diego is: “Rest assured, your secret is safe with me. And the Kirk security staff, but I’m sure they don’t eyeball each and every piece of CCTV footage.”

Cassie is a student at Kirk University and finds herself falling for her professor. She isn’t exactly sure what to do because she keeps running into him. Not only that, but she also has one on one meetings with him for class. The quote I chose for Cassie is: “Oh yeah. Most people are really friendly. I mean, of course you get the odd snobby person, that’s to be expected somewhere like here. But most people I’ve met are pretty down-to-earth.”

Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

I enjoyed this student, teacher romance, which is actually a companion story to book one in the Kirk University series. That book was told from the student, Cassie’s perspective and this one is told from Diego’s, the teacher’s. This fairly short but engaging read let’s us into Diego’s mind, and what he was thinking when he met Cassie. Sensible, level headed, respected Professor Diego Valentine had worked hard to become a professor in his field at a young age. He had also been with his wife for over a decade, but then his life became complicated. His marriage fell apart and his ex wife, Linda demanded part of his financial assets, then his brother Matty started setting him up with random women.

Diego then found himself strangely drawn to the beautiful and spirited young women, Cassandra, that he saw for one on one tutorials. He likes that she is not afraid to go after what she wants, but he’s adamant that he can’t be falling for her, as that would be inappropriate. After all, she’s his student and half his age, and yet Diego, for once can’t seem to do the sensible thing, and Cassie is also not giving up on him that easily. I liked the main characters, Diego and Cassie from the previous two books that they feature in, and their chemistry once again, came across in the narrative and led to some steamy scenes. It was interesting to see their romance from Diego’s point of view rather that Cassie’s. I was pleased that their love story had a HEA.

Meeting Cassie and Diego yet again! This is a short novella that is told well and made me wish it was just a bit longer. I truly enjoy the way the author has written this book. The 2 companion stories coincide perfectly with the initial book, and getting the perspective from Cassie and Diego individually is the icing on the cake.
Diego is a man who dismissed love and anything associated with the word out of his life after divorcing his ex wife. As he tries to find his footing placing his life back together he also finds Cassie along the way. Diego felt a pull to Cassie the moment they met, and the age difference nor her being a student couldn’t derail the attraction and chemistry of these 2. Diego’s story reflects a man in love with no sight in end.

I Dream of Cassie: A Student-Teacher Age-Gap Romance is the companion story to ‘Professor Valentine’, the first book in the Kirk University series by Diana Vale. It gives us a fuller picture of what was happening, as this is from Diego’s perspective. It is a short story- a novella that made for a very quick and easy read.
This is a new adult contemporary student-teacher romance- with an age-gap, angst, and some drama.
Book one was what happened when 18 year old Cassandra Rodriguez, a psychology student and freshman at Kirk University, falls for her professor? This story gives us Diego’s point of view on it all, and made for some interesting reading.

Thank you, Diana Vale.

I Dream of Cassie: A Student-Teacher Age-Gap Romance by Diana Vale. I really enjoyed this romance. Its told from Diego’s point of view which is different and I really like that. Diego Valentine is going thru a rough patch in his life. He is going thru a rough divorce and trying to keep his head above water. While subbing for a pregnant Professor he begins to teach a class with a lovely young lady named Cassie Rodriguez. For some reason Diego can’t get Cassie out of his mind. He knows how inappropriate these feelings are but the more he tries not to think about her the more he does. Cassie is 18 but she seems so much more mature than the other 18 year olds. She is smart, confident and beautiful and she is also not staying away from Diego. What is he going to do? Will Diego risk everything to have Cassie or will he decide his life is full of enough drama with his long drawn out divorce? Read I Dream of Cassie to find out!

I was excited to see that Professor Valentine was getting a companion story, this time told from the perspective of Diego. I enjoyed the first book in this series and was hoping that seeing the other side of things wouls being that character connection I missed first them round. It was quite a short Book but it was nice to get that alternative point of view. I found it as easy to read as the previous boom and I definitely felt the chemistry more between the characters in this one. The emotions felt more real. I’m glad the author wrote this book as the two together are great to read.

This emotional raw story is about a man torn between what he thinks is right and finding his heart again. After a difficult marriage that is ending in a prolonged divorce, Diego Valentine is trying to keep his life on track but is suddenly derailed by the deeply immense and growing feelings he has developed for one of his students, Cassie Rodriguez. Cassie is an anomaly. She is mature, grounded, thoughtful, so sure of herself and all at the age of 18. Diego fights his feelings for Cassie, trying to do what he thinks is right for her.

Diego’s tortured feelings for Cassie are poured over every page. They coat you in his deep love, smother you with the need to protect, rip you apart with selflessness, and heat you with his desire. This is the inside guide to a man’s emotions that women want. Beautifully written.

I am a sucker for a student teacher romance novel and this one exceeded all of my expectations! I have not read any books by this author before now and I cannot wait to read more! Diego is going through some hard times when he is offered to take over a fellow teacher’s classwork while she goes on maternity leave and this is where he meets Cassie. From the moment he meets her, he is drawn to her and cannot stop wanting to see her or learning more about this woman who has so captured his attention. I could not put this story down and cannot want to re-read it over and over again.

This was a great 5 star read. We get Diego’s POV in this book.
I was pulled in right from the beginning.

He is dealing with a soon to be ex that is being very complicated. He had been with her quite a few years and thought she would be the one he spent his life with. Trying to move forward his brother keeps trying to get him out of his shell but he’s not that kind of person. He takes on a class when a co-worker goes on maternity, this is where he meets Cassie. There is something about her that pulls him in.

Diego agrees to tutor Cassie and man did I feel for the poor girl when she came to the first session. How embarrassing for her, Diego handled it so well and I loved how supportive he was of her. As they spend more time together sparks start to fly. Overall I really enjoyed this read. All of the characters added a great element to the story. I had some LOL moments as well. You can read this book as a standalone but reading Cassie’s view first gives you better insight into things. If you’re looking for a good second chance romance, 1-click and get started today. I look forward to reading more from this author.

While this is a companion book it is just as good as the first book. While I have never read anything from this author and this trope isn’t normally my thing, this one took me by surprise. There is plenty of romance, chemistry, and of course drama. So much in fact that sometimes you forget that our main characters are student and teacher. The plot was interesting, the word building was beautiful, and all in all everything flowed together pretty perfectly. So if your looking for a short book to get you out of a reading slump or a short book to get you to the weekend make sure you pick this one up today.

Somebody’s hot for teacher (or student). Diego is just getting out of a bad breakup and ends up subbing for a pregnant professor. In walks Cassie. Steam, romance and some trouble. This was a romance that I could get into. The theme has been done but the author gives it a fresh touch. This is Diego’s POV and it’s nice to see romance’s from the guy’s side. Cassie’s POV is in a previous book. The characters are way too relatable. I found myself chuckling because I have some friends that party like Matty. A very entertaining book. I think romance lovers (especially those that love the heat) will find this enjoyable. I also think the second chance romance lovers will love it. I highly recommend it.

I really enjoyed this book. It is a student teacher romance written from the view of the teacher. After reading the first one from the view of the student it was nice to read this one from the opposite view point. The author does an amazing job with the characters. They are very deep.
Diego is a teacher at Kirk. He has just got out of a really long marriage and doesn’t think he will ever find love again. That is until he meets Cassie. Their attraction and chemistry is instant but because of Diego’s job he tries to avoid getting involved.

When they finally give in things still don’t run smoothly. With Diegos job and an ex wife making the divorce harder than it needs to be. Their path to love doesn’t run smooth.

This is an amazing short read. It has both POVs and I love that in a book, I feel it helps round out the story line. This book is also really well written. I only give it 4 stars because I feel like it could have been longer. I felt that the scenes, even though written really well, could have been longer. The crazy dynamic between the two main characters and their shenanigans to keep their inappropriate relationship a secret is highly entertaining. It is a very fast paced book that I couldn’t put down. The growth of the characters is appropriate for the pace of the book. I just wish there was more. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good age gape, inappropriate, wholesome love story.

I enjoyed this student – teacher romance story. It is a well written story about a teacher and a student who are attracted to each other and after spending some time tutoring, they begin to fall for each other. Their relationship is a no no but you certainly don’t want to miss what happens with these two. I enjoyed watching their growth as well as their chemistry throughout the story. They made the story easy and entertaining to read. This is a fast paced story that is hard to put down. A shorter story that packs a punch in the romance department for sure. I really enjoyed this story and what the characters brought to the story. I highly recommend this book.

The story is a student-teacher romance where age is a factor or is it? This is the companion story to the first book Professor Valentine in the Kirk University series. This story is told from Diego’s POV. I love stories that are told in different POV’s because I feel the story is much rounder and in depth understanding of the characters. This is a very very short novella but getting the male perspective is a good addition to this tale. This is where it all began.
Cassie is off limits but that doesn’t stop him from wanting her. Beautiful doesn’t begin to describe her, but does he really need more in his life with his ex-wife and brother?

I first met Professor Diego Valentine and his then student Cassie in ‘Professor Valentine (Kirk University Book 1)’ so I was looking forward to ‘catching up’ with them in this novella. This was a short and enjoyable read which picks up the story one year after the couple first met and fell in love. Diego and Cassie are now officially a couple but they soon learn that not everyone around them approves of them being in a relationship as Diego is Cassie’s ex-university professor. Despite plenty of complications including Diego’s drug addicted ex wife, Cassie studying to complete her psychology degree and wanting to enjoy university life, and of course the age gap between the pair, neither regret their relationship. However the pressure is effecting them and they have to choose whether their love for one another is enough to overcome the challenges or whether they are better off apart. By telling the story from both Diego and Cassie’s view point the author made the characters come alive and I felt engaged with them. I enjoyed seeing how their relationship had developed and I like how the author has written a realistic story where the couple do have ups and downs, but there is a guaranteed HEA.

After reading Professor Valentine by Diana Vale, I couldn’t wait to jump into her sequel (book 6 in the series) Forever Valentine. The continuation of Diego and Cassie’s story. I love what Diana Vale has done with their love affair. Starting out as advisor and student, to a story about twin flames/love. The way Diana Vale develops her characters is done beautifully. The digging deeper into Diego and Cassie’s love is memorizing. With a wonderful supporting cast of minor characters throughout, Diego and Cassie have the love everyone wants. the undying and unyielding kind. I also the way the characters were able to persevere with all the obstacles presented to them, to test their love to the ultimate limit. Forever Valentine is the sequel to Professor Valentine (Book 1 in Kirk University) by Diana Vale. This age-gap fast-paced novella takes place months after Cassie and Diego have started their relationship. This couple goes through the normal things every relationship goes through, just added a little extra due to them being ex-professor/student plus an ex-wife poking her nose in. Overall this book was good and kept me intrigued but I will say I wish I had read the first book to understand the characters more (which I plan on doing).

Cassie and Diego are having a romance of the ages. She’s younger than him. He also comes with the baggage of a drug-addled ex-wife. If you like spicy, there’s some in here that will cause steam on your glasses. The characters are pretty well-written. Some of his brothers sounded like overgrown children. Her friends just sounded like silly students shrinking everyone against the female brain. There was a lot of action and noise on the pages which made it hard to follow the story at times. Overall, I would recommend it.

Another fantastic read by Vale. Forever Valentine is book 6 of the Kirk University Series. The characters are wonderful. It’s a page-turner for sure.

Cassie is in her second year of college. Her boyfriend happens to be older than her and she is worried. Her parents aren’t very accepting of him. The quote I chose for Cassie is: “Then why do you act like I can’t? Why do you act like this divorce is only something that affects you? It affects both of us.”

Diego used to be Cassie’s mentor, but he left the college before starting anything. His divorce isn’t final and it’s weighing on him. He thinks the age-gap between them will cause drama in the future. The quote I chose for Diego is: “No! I know exactly what you’re trying to do! You’re going to paint me up as some arsehole who left his vulnerable wife for a younger woman. I can see right through your bs, Linda.”

Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

Forever Valentine is the follow up to the book Professor Valentine of Cassie and Diego’s story. The 2nd book picks up a year later as Cassie is in her 2nd year at uni to get her degree while Diego teaches at another school. Despite Diego’s ex wife and also the stress of Diego meeting Cassie’s parents for the first time, Cassie and Diego’s love for each other still burns strong. The story was good but I didn’t feel the connection with the characters like I was hoping in this story. Overall a good read if you enjoy contemporary romance books.
