My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved the way Davisson wrote this book which clings to your heart as we meet Lori, single mom of a young daughter. The vivid details of her attack, what’s going on as to why she’s hiding her truth will grip your heart. I loved the story, the environment and of course the detective work from Logan who will always prevail in her sights of justice.

These characters were easy to love as their circumstances brought them closer together in not only the rat races of their career but also in the dating pool. I love their banter with one another and how entertaining the story brings them closer together. This is an easy read that you can’t help get sunk into as an original comedy-esque book. I loved reading why Geo took his approach with not only his career but with Penny as well. Great characters and story to boot. I loved this whole book!

This is one of the third books from this author that I’ve found myself enjoying. The author has a way of educating his audience in making his subjects more human than anything else that they are. Very good job placing the characters in a more interesting light than we’ve learned outside of a religious view.

I love a hero who can stand in his truth more than an allegiance to what they’re more responsible to do by nature. In this one, a lot is going on as we follow our lead hero in making a lot of tough decisions to ensure the safety of what’s right around him. This one is not only a race against time but a sway in the right direction for everyone as a whole.

This sets out in the perfect suspenseful mystery. I loved the start with Logan and her daughter. I found their scenes adorable with the little sea otter to boot. The characters are easy to love but the mystery that surrounds Lot 429 is impeccably written. The theme itself that surrounds the story is also a very good pace for a book of this stature. Of all in this series, I have never been disappointed yet as to what this author has to offer!

I am a complete sucker for these opposite attract love stories which are enemies-to-lovers stories. The love story in the middle of the small success story as she navigates through the music industry. I love where the story leads between the two, Cami and Dylan, and what makes their story enduring. I love how the author finds a balance of a dance in a beautiful love song for these two.

I enjoyed the vulnerability this book displayed of each character and not even just the main character. It showed depth to their inner emotions, their drive, ambition and what made them who they are. This book takes us deeper into each characters’ lives propelling forward to seek their own inner happiness without falling purely for and through lust. Very captivating read: I very much enjoyed how deep it kept getting because it’s human nature to want to be our best selves. Very beautifully done, Ms. Cynthia Hamilton. Bravo!

This mystical fantasy was a great start to an amazing read. From first listen, I was enthralled with not only each character but their past and how it affected each one of them in so many different ways to the point where their past defined their present, their future and the way they operated because of that. You were captivated so much from loss, love, lust, betrayal and the impacts of distress, grief, loss and the way their trauma impacted their life. I don’t want to give too much away other than that but this was worth every single page to get engulfed in!

This book is just as entertaining as TV shows like “Ghost Whisperer” or “Grey’s Anatomy,” which I love to watch. This story is multilayered in what it means to communicate with the dead and ghosts through a near death experience but also has a new profound respect for what life brings her way. I loved how the author made this a witty and funny read as well so this one is highly recommendable!

Fatal Legislation: A Novel: Karina Cardinal Mystery Book 2 by Ellen Butler – Review by Faith Jackson

Fatal Legislation (Karina Cardinal Mystery #2)Fatal Legislation by Ellen Butler
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is intensely action-packed as we follow the lead character, Karina through a suspenseful race to prove she’s innocent in an unimaginable crime that she’s not even guilty of. She’s got the assistance of her boyfriend to assist her prove her assistance. The stealthiness of how the crime was committed will have you scratching your head and guessing how the killer pulled this one off. But that is just the beginning as that opens the doors to more than she bargained for but this book is an insane read with so much that keeps you feeling just as Karina feels about this. I love how this author is able to get us all riled up and keep up on the pace of the characters. This is the second book I’ve read by the author and I must say she has gained me as an avid reader because these books keep me on my toes!

Enchanted Passion The Protectors Series Book 4Enchanted Passion The Protectors Series Book 4 by Toya Richardson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is steamy yet intensely written as you can’t help but feel both characters’ emotions through the words as the author expresses their love for one another. You feel helpless as you want to help them peel back the layers to get to the happiness you know both need to express themselves for one another. In the wake of it all, there’s some other force keeping the two from coming together: These two are so powerful that they’re up to dismantle anything that stands in their way through the fast paced action that pulls these two together and seeks to devastate their world. I loved how despite it all, these two seemed pulled together despite their differences in their covens but this offers so much more for the series as a greater story unfolds. I thoroughly enjoyed this one!

This is a fantastic start of a series for people who love action trilogies like these of this genre. This book starts off the first chapter showing you just how heroic these characters are in the world that is theirs starting with Sienna who is in the arena and battling as a mere human against others more powerful than she is but she proves herself worthy of a win. Things get even more interesting as Jayla who is set out to protect the city at large must return to the arena to uncover a hidden truth. This book is action-packed, unpredictable, inspirational with brilliant characters in an original setting. I loved reading each page of this one kept me guessing but also the origin about how the differences are apparent and molded together to complete a story that will leave you well entertained. I loved reading this one. Be sure to enjoy this one!

I absolutely love Manda Mellett and she always surprises the reader with different stories and where it will go. This one is different than all the other stories I’ve read of hers. This one takes you by surprised as a member of the MC questions the motives of the club but needs time to clear his head. The action picks up when he gets put in an unpredictable predicament. This book is full of surprise but I would expect nothing else but this from a phenomenal author!

This is the third installment of a great series by this author. I adored every book of this series as Valerie strikes us as one of the best heroines. She’s got a past that she can’t shake but she’s doing something about it from the first book of the series to this one. This book tests her life in a whole different way as she’s out to seek her own personal justice but she also finds ways to help others along the way as well. I absolutely from the first read enjoyed just how strong Valerie is but she’s got a resilient spirit that inspires anyone who reads this and the other books of this series. You won’t be disappointed in the least!

I’ve become such a fan of Cynthia Hamilton’s the more I read her work. This book was no exception. It hits on the fact different people have different opinions on the thing we call “love.” The scenic picturesque environments the characters find themselves in set the mood for romance and steamy scenes between the two. Jake has experience in love. The scenery is beautifully described, the characters are easy to love and their stories are inspirational to capture your interest. I enjoyed this book very much.

This is the first and only book I’ve read by the author up until last week sometime. The book is a quick read but it’s a beautiful read. Autumn peaked my interest from the first chapter and continued to hold my interest till the last chapter. I loved what she offered herself as a woman and what she offered Liam as a love interest but even better, what they offered one another as they continue through the book getting better acquainted. The whole book has this mystery as we unravel Autumn’s past but it was worth the read as I couldn’t tear myself away. The whole book took my interest and wouldn’t let go. This was a brilliant read! Loved every page which I found very relatable and personable.

This book is mystery, suspenseful, and action-packed. I am a huge fan of the author’s as the descriptions take hold of you and don’t loosen its grip. You follow Petrovsky in this book that seems like a twisted horror movie. As the detectives lead you down the race to save their captain, your head will be spinning just as much as theirs do in this thriller. The author knows how to string the reader along to seek justice for the victims as much as partners Jackson and Petrovsky. I love how original every book in this series is and as a fan of criminal stories, this one had me hooked from the first chapter. Great and heroic characters with a great balance of action along the way.
