Wow! Fall of the Western Kings (The Tirumfall Trilogy Book 1) by J Drew Brumbaugh, was non-stop action. From the first chapter to the last the battle scenes are excellent. This is a wonderful world with wonderful characters, and they are many. Our hero Gant begins a journey that he is unaware of his part in it. Not only is Gant an intriguing character but everyone he meets along this epic journey is just as detailed and interesting as he is. I guess we can find ourselves and our present world in every story we read, and I certainly saw enough of our present world in this story. My favorite line in the whole book…. “Too often he’d seen friends turn on one another over matters of honor. What honor came from killing friends?” Something to think about.

5 Star Fall of the Western Kings (The Tirumfall Trilogy Book 1) by J Drew Brumbaugh is a wonderfully written Epic Fantasy that will absolutely pull you in from the beginning and doesn’t let go till the end. When I picked this book up I wasn’t sure but my expectations were blown out of the water. Wow !This is my first read by this author but definitely not my last. Gant has been labeled as an outlaw because of his learning to use a sword. Get ready to be taken on an journey where you don’t know what danger might lie ahead. Find out what happens next, Will those who are evil succeed? What does the future hold for Gant? I highly recommend this book and I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

This is my first book by this author and i enjoyed it. I thought it was well written and easy flowing and held my interest from page one. It was full of action and adventure and the main characters were likeable! Grant was the lead. He gets labeled an outlaw beacause he learns how to use a sword. Now he has a whole heap of things in store for him and he has to learn how to navigate through a life completely different than he is use to. He was a good main character and i liked reading his story alot! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good adventure and I am looking forward to reading more by this author in the future! Her Blackened Heart is the second book in the Blackened Series. I recommend reading the first book to get a foundation for this story. This book is told in fairy tale style like the first book. I found the detail in some places good, but in other places the story felt like more of a synopsis rather than an experience. I like the originality of the story and I do enjoy the Astrid character. Overall, I’d say this book was a more enjoyable read than the first one as it had much less repetition in it. I’ll be interested to see what happens in the next installment.

Child of Prophecyis the second book in the Tirumfall Trilogyby J. Drew Brumbaugh. It is a dramatic fantasy, full of action, adventure, magic, demons, prophecy, danger, moral dilemmas, and high stakes. This follows on from Book One, so if you haven’t read Fall of the Western Kings yet, I highly recommend you do before starting this story. There is a lot of important backstory and character information to be found in the first book which will enhance your reading experience here. We pick up with Gant and his friends a few years after the events in the first book, as they set off to save the day once again. A prophecy of evil places the fate of the world in their hands and thrusts them on an epic adventure. As with the first book, this is quite an original story, and once again the world building was well developed, richly detailed, and entirely believable.

I was hooked from page one of this epic fantasy adventure featuring our hero, Gant. Gant is an apprentice blacksmith to his father living in a small village making swords for nobleman. As a commoner it is against the law for him to learn swordsmanship himself but he trains in secret. When Gant uses his sword to protect a friend he ends up hurting a nobleman and so is branded as an outlaw. Gant goes on the run along with his best friend Chamz and they embark on an adventurous and at times dangerous journey. Along the way they meet new friends who are not all human and together they have to vanquish the forces of darkness. This is a classic fantasy adventure and one I felt totally immersed in due to the authors wonderful world building. I loved the main character, Gant and by having best friend Chamz along for the journey he added some much needed humour to the storyline. Other characters that stood out and added to the story were Dalphnia and Pris, however all the characters were well defined. The authors detailed descriptions really made the story come alive and the plot was action packed and full of drama which had me gripped. I look forward to book two in J Drew Brumbaugh’s ‘The Tirumfall Trilogy’.

This series just seems to get better and better. This is an epic fantasy read that has you hooked from the very beginning until the end! I highly recommend that you read book 1 first so you get a real feel of the characters and a bit of a back story, but other than that this book follows effortlessly on its own and held me captive the entire read! Its fast-paced, entertaining and epic, it has suspense, action, adventure and twists and turns that have you on the edge of your seat, and leave you wanting more! I can’t wait to read more from this author and can’t wait to see where we are taken next! I highly recommend this read!

This was a fantastic first read by the author. I can’t wait for the next book in the Tirumfall Trilogy. Brumnaugh has a way of making you fall in love with his characters.
Gant is the one of the main characters and he gets into all sorts of trouble. After the trouble he causes he leaves his family behind. His best friend tags along so he’s not alone.
Gant is wanting to become a swordsman, but he is a commoner. He finds himself in battles in the new town. The quote I chose for Gant is: “You keep saying that. What am I training for?”
Fantasy lovers this is a book for you. I promise you won’t regret it.

This is a fantasy fairytale series. Isra must battle a mortal witch who is hell bent on revenge. Everilda blames Isra for everything that has gone wrong in her life and will stop at nothing until she destroys her. Read the book to find out how the battle ends.
The author introduces a few more characters in this novel. Each one is unique but unfortunately they are flat once again. The structure and wording of the sentences seem to be written as if English is not the first language of the author. If that’s the case, it’s forgivable. The author is once again repetitive and it’s frustrating reading back to back sentences describing the same thing. I will admit though that this book is better than the first part.

Her Blackened Heart (Blackened Series Book 2) by Isra Sravenheartis is a dark fairy taleish fantasy paranormal story. Our villainess who is a very dark witch and the story has a bit of everything and the story line is original. Paranormal is my favourite genre so I am a fussy reader when it comes down to it. Did I like this book better than the first? Yeah. Would I recommend it to others? yes because like I said with the first book, just because it didn’t live up to my expectations, does not mean it will not for others. 3.5 stars

I wasn’t sure what I was going to be getting myself into when I picked up Fall of the Western Kings, the first book in the Tirumfall Trilogy from J Drew Brumbaugh. I just knew the cover had me hooked enough that I needed to know what was going on inside it. This book was quite the adventure and I really enjoyed all the detail and the action as well as the care put into the writing. This has just about everything you could want in the fantasy world with dragons, wizards, magic and demons just to name a few. We get to know Gant the main character that will take us on quite the ride. The supporting characters were fun to watch and follow as well. I look forward to seeing what we will get with the second installment, Child of Prophecy.

This book drew me in from the beginning. I was kept entertained and the author did an exceptional job writing a book full of rich detail. This story is full of action, magic, danger, and great characters. In this story we follow Gant, who is on an adventure he never thought he would be on. Can him and his friends beat the evil that is trying to take over? I found this book to be refreshingly original and I had to start reading the second book in this series right away. I highly recommend this book.

I loved the first book so I was highly anticipating this one. There’s lots of action and magic in this one, and the world-building is complex and detailed. I love the mix of urban fantasy, cyberpunk and paranormal elements, as it adds a lot of tension and keeps you guessing.

This book starts with Gant, a commoner and resident of a small village where he lives with his parents and helps his father as a blacksmith’s apprentice, where, on his way back home after his swordship training with his uncle, he comes across a friend of his being manhandled by a noble, whom he defends. The fact that he laid hand on a noble and he is only a commoner means he has to leave all that he has known behind, for the life of an outlaw. As he hurriedly packs some essential things and wishes his family and friends a hasty goodbye, he departs for the neighbouring kingdom and escapes from the ramifications of his crime.
As Gant is travelling, his thoughts turn to what he has done and how he may never be able to see his family and friends again, he doesn’t regret what he has done, just feels sadness that this is the result. Suddenly, he sees a figure running over a hill behind him and smiles as he is joined by his best friend and as much as Gant tries to get him to turn back, he refuses and insists on going with Gant. This lightens the load on Gant’s shoulders and he begins to smile and feel relieved that he won’t be on his own, at least for now.
As the two friends walk towards their next destination, they talk about what is going to happen back home and then onto current events within the kingdoms and how it might affect the one they have just left and talk of an upstart invading and taking control of another neighbouring kingdom. Later on in the evening, the noble finds Gant and his friend and threatens them, though his words perturb them and they discuss it after he leaves.
The next day, they arrive at their destination and begin their new lives and get into new routines of work and sparring training, this is until trouble find them and a new journey begins where they will find new friends, old enemies, evil and darkness, good and light and in every way, shape and form, their lives will be changed, but will all this change them as well?
This book is a fantastic work of fantasy and left me wanting to read more, as I hope it will for you.

Fall of the Western Kings by J. Drew Brumbaugh is the first book in the Tirumfall trilogy and it was a good read. The synopsis led me to believe it was going to be better than what I read, and I was slightly disappointed because of that, but it was still a good read. I think the descriptions could have been better, as well as the timeline throughout the novel but overall it held my attention alright. It was slightly reminiscent to Game of Thrones to me, at least when the descriptions were well written. This is the first novel I’ve read from this author before, and I will be reading more in the future.

J Drew Brumbaugh is a new author to me and I will be reading more of his books in the near future. I love the descriptive world building he has created. With the world pictured in my head, it made the pages fly by as I needed to see what was on the next page. The characters are fully developed and interesting. They go on a fantasy adventure that keeps me on the edge of my seat. Grant wanted to learn how to use a sword. Now there is a law that states he is not to learn how to use a sword, but Grant did not let that stop him. He is now an outlaw because of his determination of using a sword. There is so much more to Grant’s story that I think you should read it for yourself. It should be able to read in one sitting so make sure you are comfy and enjoy your book.

There is nothing better than an author that keeps the story going with the same characters from the first book into the second book. I find that I am interested in the story more with familiar characters. The world in which Isra Sravenheart has created the world with light and dark fantasy. She has brought Lady Isra who is a powerful witch and Astrid the raven/man companion. Then there is Contessa who is a white power witch. She believes in good magic and love and light. Isra wants to take Contessa in and mentor her. There is some type of light in Contessia that is making Lady Isra opening up to the light some more. Will Cantessia help Lady Isra or will Lady Isra turn Contessia? I highly recommend this story. Make sure you read book 1 before you read this book.

I’ve read each and every book of this series and fell in love with them from the first one! This one shows exactly why the series is not only never-ending but grasps your interest. A lot is at stake for our heroine as she must battle to choose stardom and all that it entails or continuing to fight for the righteous that her heart leads her. Great story for teens and kids alike to learn from. I’m a grown adult who found this book all like the others to captivate not only my attention but teach valuable lessons about life and overcoming obstacles. Great writing!

The characters draw you into their world and it’s definitely easy to get wrapped up and lost in the pages for a while which I was happy to do. There’s lots going on but the author does a great job of not making it overwhelming to readers. The characters are complex and the storyline is well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I love the fast paced world this author has given readers. Can’t wait to see where this series goes next. Four stars and highly recommended.

I really enjoy reading The Blackened Series from Isra Sravenheart. Her Blackened Heart is the second book in the series and I would personally recommend that you read the first one before diving into this one to get the whole effect of the story and the characters that are in it. I really loved the dark undertones but the way the author makes you still fall in love with the darkest of characters. In this one Lady Isra is back at her dark and dubious ways in this one. We find her and her raven companion holed up in their fortress and protected by a magic spell. However, things still find a way in and thus end up in the wicked web that Isra so loves to weave. I loved this one and I am even more anxious to get my hands on the next installment. I can’t wait to find out what wicked ways we will find Lady Isra up to next!

I loved reading the book Shattered Reality (Summoned Book 1) by C.A. King. It is a story that includes magic, mystery, and danger. Once I started reading, I was hooked. I enjoyed reading about the character Mudesa Black. She is a psychiatrist and someone intelligent, independent, and strong. She has now found herself on her way back home, a place that she hasn’t been to in a long time. It is there that she meets Perry P, a private investigator. He is handsome, charming, and has Mudesa taking a second look. Will Mudesa find out the mystery behind her fears? What will she find at her family’s estate? Read this book to find out. This story had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. I found the character of Mudesa changing as the story progressed. I was rooting for her to succeed in finding out the mystery she uncovers once returns home. The author has created a wonderful fantasy book in which the story and the characters come alive on the page. Don’t miss out on an exciting and entertaining book that you will not want to put down until the final page. I highly recommend reading it.

I loved reading the book Child of Prophecy (The Tirumfall Trilogy BOOK 2) by J Drew Brumbaugh. It is a story that includes action, danger, magic, and comradery. A prophecy is about to come true that has Gant and those with him springing into action. A prophecy about a child that will lead an army to victory over Gant and the surrounding lands. Read this book to find out the full story of what happens. This story is fast-paced and has plenty of adventure. I love the character of Gant. He is someone that you want on your side of the battle. I also loved reading about additional characters such as Amelia, Pris, and Dalphnia. They have been brought forward from the first story. Many other characters help in this journey. It is awesome how the characters care about what happens to each other. The book had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. The author does an amazing job of making the story and the characters come alive. I felt like I was right there beside them. There are unhappy moments as well as touching ones. Eternal Wanderings: The Continuing Journey of Kara O’Keefe by Danielle Ackley-McPhail is a very short and original fantasy story with a few odds and sods added to the end of the book. Danielle always paints a vivid tale that makes it easy to journey along with the characters. The story doesn’t flow as well as I would have liked but that said I still found the storyline interesting and full of mystery, action and magic.

Friday Fitzsimmons is back and on the edge of stardom, but is that what she really wants? This fantasy superhero genre is not one I usually read, but I’m really enjoying this series. All of the characters are growing as the series unravels and the writing is wonderful. I highly recommend this book, series and author.

This is a great example of what a fantasy story should be like – it is detailed, and complex while having the right amount of adventure and excitement thrown in. It didn’t take any time at all for me to become engaged with this book. I liked the way in which the story built – it felt like the author actually took the time set the scene and build the main basis of the story. This is the first book I have read by this author and I have to say I am already excited to read more. I loved his writing style from the moment I started reading and I thought that it matched perfectly with the genre of book he has written. The whole development throughout and just the whole feel of the book were brilliant. This felt like a really strong start to a new series and I am looking forward to seeing what comes next.

Eternal Wanderings: The Continuing Journey of Kara O’Keefe by Danielle Ackley-McPhail is a good fantasy story about a girl trying to find her place. This was an interesting story to read. It was easy to connect with from the start and was well developed all the way through. Kara was a good character as the focus of the story – she was easy to engage with and kept the story going. At time’s I did find the book to be a little confusing however this soon passed and I was able to pick back up the story. Overall this is an enjoyable read and for anyone interested in this genre it is worth a go.

I really enjoyed this fantasy adventure. It was action packed and kept me gripped. The characters are well written and the worlds the author was created really drag you in. The book is filled with magic, dragons, war and good against evil.
Gant is an apprentice, working with his father making swords for the noblemen. However that is not the live Gant wants. With a little help from his uncle in secret he learns how to become a skilled swordsman. But this is against the law. One incident changes his life after he protects his friend after a nobleman attempts to hurt her. By Gant’s involvement it show his hand so he now has to leave his home and family or face the punishment for his actions.
One he leaves things change. Their is an uprising and his home could be under attack by the mountain King. Will his family be safe? Is he the one that is prophecied to be able to save them all? Or he is just a normal boy who can’t change the course of things happening.

Faerie’s Magic (Seasons of the Fae book 2) By Jessica Feyden 5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the book Faerie’s Magic (Seasons of the Fae book 2) by Jessica Feyden. It is a story that includes action, danger, magic, and romance. It tells the tale of Princess Mira who begins to suspect that her magic has been tampered with. It also includes Cadoc, whose wolf tells him that Mira is his mate. With so much conflict will Mira and Cadoc be able to save their two kingdoms and join as mates? Read this book to find out. This is a story that has conflict and betrayal between two kingdoms. Trust is rare and not given by many. I found Mira to be intelligent and strong. Cadoc knows that Mira is his mate and will do anything to keep her safe. I grew to care about Mira and Cadoc with each chapter that I read. Other additional characters are introduced. Some of them are loyal to Mira and Cadoc. Others have plans and an agenda that is evil and selfish. Will they succeed? I enjoyed reading about the worlds of the Fae and shifters. It is interesting to read about how each has its ceremonies and traditions. Don’t miss out on a story that is exciting, entertaining, and fast-paced. I recommend reading it.

Fall of the Western King by J. Drew Brumbaugh a fantasy of a four-star read. This is number one in the Tirumfall Trilogy and shows promise while leaving me wanting more. This is so fast paced that it could run away, and you would never catch it up, the author does a great job of keeping you together and able to follow the story. There are so many amazing characters in this story especially Gant, but the secondary ones are just as strong, some best friends add so much depth to this story. The writing is very vivid, and you can visualise the magic as it is happening, see the movements and hear the incantations in your ear. With a little more background information and a little extra in a couple of places this would have been an easy five-star read.

I enjoyed this book. This is the second book in this series. I highly suggest reading book one before this one to help enrich your enjoyment of this series. This is a well written story that has details that made me feel as if I was part of the story. The characters made the story easy to read and kept it engaging to the end. There is much going on in this book but the author did a great job of keeping things understandable. Grant’s story continues in this book. He takes you on a magical adventure that will keep you turning pages. I highly recommend this book, find out what happens to Grant and his group next.
