I loved reading this book. It pulls you in and keeps you wanting to read more. It caught by the first chapter. I can not wait to read the next book. I highly recommend this book.

I read this book completely blind. I didn’t look at cover, look at the blurb or read any reviews. For the first few chapters, I had no idea where the book was heading and I almost looked to see what it was about. I am so glad I did not because it was a very enjoyable way to read.
This story mesmerized me the whole way through. There is enough solid writing with a definite timeline, a bit of mystery and a whole cast of well developed characters.

Mara Gan did a wonderful job creating this incredibly world and characters. She has described it very well. The two main characters are Meda and Perseus. Meda is a princess of not just a world, but a galaxy. She is compassionate and sweet. She has a very independent and stubborn streak that I absolutely love. Perseus is beyond fierce. He is a force to be reckoned with, but he may have found a challenge in Meda. There are ups, downs, laughter, and sadness all in this story. At the end of this story, there is a cliffhanger. This is only the first book in this series so more is yet to come, and I cannot wait!

I have once again found a new author and another great first in a series book. I really like psy-fi and paranormal books. This was just such a great read and so refreshing. The book had me from chapter one and if I said it once I’ve said it a million times I just couldn’t put this book down.
I like how the book is in first person. I really like how I am seeing the events through the main character’s eyes. The first person narrative of this brings everything to life. I felt as if I was the character and as the events unfolded that I was experiencing them first hand. The world created by the author just came to life within my mind. I also like how things are not so straight forward and the main character falls for her guard over time. I really look forward to reading more from this author and this series as this is the first book and I am so eager to see how things pan out.

Joined: Book One by Mara Gan is a fantastic science fiction/fantasy novel. I have only recently started reading this genre and I’m so glad that I gave it a go as I absolutely loved this book. This is a new author to me and I had no idea of their writing style but I can safely say now that Mara Gan sure knows how to write a fantastic engaging story. When I think of the imagination required to create this story, it blows me away. Not only are there many different characters who all play a vital role in the story but there are different nationalities, planets, galaxies etc that must have taken a great deal of imagination, planning and preparation. As to the story itself, I was totally hooked on it from the very beginning and was taken on a rollercoaster journey to the end only to be left wanting more. The 2 main characters Princess Andromeda (or Meda as she’s better known) and her Protector Perseus are awesome. Meda is sassy, strong willed and does not like having restrictions placed on her. As her life is under threat, Perseus is constantly exasperated by her constant rule breaking. All this is not helped by the fact that they both have feelings for each other but, with Meda being a Princess and Heir to the galaxy, her future husband has been chosen for her. Can Perseus keep Meda safe from those who want her killed? Can the 2 of them resist the obvious feelings that they have for one another? I’d really recommend that you read this fantastic book to find out. For me, I can’t wait for Book Two as I want to know what the future has in store for Meda and Perseus.

I have to say I was very intrigued by this book by the synopsis, but very wary due to page count. This book is long, yes, but is a really good story. I’m not a big “step out of my comfort zone” genre reader, I love romance and the angst but this book really captured my attention. The character descriptions felt like they were very vivid in my mind and I could really picture everything i was seeing/reading, I LOVE that. But there were some things that could have done fine with not being included, it just got too wordy, for me personally. I felt like I skimmed a lot, which I hate to do, but it felt repetitive or unnecessary to get to the next part of the story. I will say I’m intrigued for the next book, as that cliffhanger leaves me to believe there will be another. Overall i enjoyed the story.

This was an awesome book 1 to a series that already has me hooked!
I loved Meda. She was a force to be reckoned with. Even though this was a story about a Princess that needed to be saved, Meda wasn’t your typical princess! Her flaws made you love her!
This was a fast pace read with action and suspense! I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough just to see what would happen next. Great start to new series and I can’t wait to read the next book. Mara Gan is now a must one-click author for me!

I went way out of my comfort zone on this book. It was recommended when I mentioned I needed something different. This was definitely different for me. I don’t read sci fi and I’m not a huge fan of YA, but in saying all of that I did enjoy many parts of this story. I definitely had no questions regarding the characters as they were well described and had the depth you need to truly understand. The surroundings and times I could almost visualize with the descriptive words used. There was definitely a uniqueness to the storyline which I completely appreciated.
In saying all of that, this book was a bit long and drawn out for me. I’m not crazy about reading a book I find myself having to skip through especially when an author works so hard to give me the words to read, but I did skip quite a bit, it felt very wordy in many places and I might be exaggerating a bit but it almost feels like half the page count could have been eliminated. Okay, maybe not that much but it did leave me with that feeling.
Again..in saying all of that I will be reading the next in this series as there was enough of a cliffhanger to have me craving more, and although this story did not change my choice of not reading this genre it is quite possible that the next in the series will.
Definitely do recommend for anyone that loves a good NA SciFi romance novel without too much of the romance.

I found this book giving off Throne of Glass vibes along with some Star Wars bits. It starts off with Meda who is a non-royal born into a prophecy that deems her saving the galaxy. She has a bodyguard who is a mercenary but she doesn’t think she needs one and is perfectly fine being able to do what she wants. Meda is an empath and semi-frequent telepath who gets overwhelmed sometimes with all the people around her and escapes quite a bit that her bodyguard, Perseus gets angry with her. Not wanting to spoil but Meda ends up falling for Perseus.
I loved the plot of the story but the description of Perseus was a bit too much, I’m not a fan of big muscled guys even tho he did sound rugged and handsome. I also found it a bit deeming that he kept calling her “little girl” even though it changes a bit in the end after they are both in love.
In other words, I would recommend this book to anyone who likes sci-fi, humor, fantasy and a bit of action. I feel this book provided a lot of those things along with romance of course but not too much it was overbearing.

Joined by Mara Gan was a fulfilling scifi/fantasy romance. I would give this book a 5 out of 5. I thoroughly enjoyed the story building and character development. Meda was a fantastic read, I really felt close to her throughout the book. Her protector is notorious around the galaxies, but is not what he seems. I had trouble putting the book down!

Superb read! I loved the plot and character development. The female lead is strong, intelligent, compassionate, and a bit stubborn, which makes her immediately attractive. This book captures your attention from the beginning and holds it through the entire adventure. One of the great things about this story is that you feel like you are IN the story, not just reading it. Joined has a little bit of everything from mystery to action to romance. Never a dull moment!

Joined was a great 4 star read and book one in the Joined series.
You get all sorts of great things in this sci-fi book, humor, action, romance and so much more. I like being taken to another world and I really enjoyed this one.
Princess Meda was great, she has feistiness to her. She also has a love for reading. She has people out to get her, trying to prevent her from taking her rightful place as the next ruler. When things take a scary twist and she is forced to flee, she has Perseus assigned to protect her. Perseus was a little bit of a jerk in the beginning but he eventually grew on me. As these two spend more time together things start to grow between them.
Can they have something together? Will Perseus be able to keep her safe?
Overall I really enjoyed this book, I had several LOL moments. Mara pulls you right in with her writing, the world she created was amazing. All of the characters were great. I will warn that there is a slight cliffhanger. If your looking for a great Sci-fi read this is the series for you. 1-click and get started today.

Joined: Book One by Mara Gan. This is the story of Princess Andromeda aka Meda who is next in line to rule the Galaxy so she is taken from her family and given to others to raise. Meda is also a empath and telepathic and only wants to read her books, play sports and help people. Only sometimes people don’t want her help or even know they need her help. Being able to sense peoples emotions and thoughts even sometimes before they do can be a hard life. It can drive a person crazy but she keeps thinking it will all be worth it when she helps them. Being the next in line to rule the Galaxy is stressful in itself because she is the only diplomat most planets will listen to and she’s also the one people want to kill. She is given a bodyguard named Perseus and they drive each other crazy. They argue about every little thing but there is also chemistry. The stolen kisses are kisses out of this world, literally! Will Meda and Perseus have a relationship more than bodyguard/ruler or will his jerky behavior keep Meda away. Will Meda save all the Galaxies or will her enemies win? Read Joined to find out!

Joined: Book One by Mara Gan is a new series and author for me. I enjoyed the story and the characters. I also like the nod to mythology with the characters of Andromeda and Perseus. This is an intriguing story which kept me reading from beginning to end. Also, the character development is well done. I enjoyed the story also because it was was not overladen with sex and course language. This was a refreshing thing to see in a YA story which could be read by all ages. I also think this allowed the characters to develop in relationships and character because there was not only a sexual focus. I look forward to reading more in this series to see where the author takes us next.

Tails Always Wins (Chasing Tails Book 1) by C.A. King was an original fast pace, thrilling read, that had me hooked from start to finish.
Wow, let’s just say I had this book read in one sitting, and I’m sitting here wanting, no needing more. I loved this different take on shifters and humans. It was quite remarkable and like I said, I was hooked! The detail and story telling was rich and methodical, it pulled you in, and it not only made you feel like you were there, but you felt every emotion and injustice. It was something I tell you, it’s something you have to experience for your self. I loved both MC’s and the split POV, it added a that extra something that rounded out this story and made it all the more entertaining and connecting. The plot is on point, complex and flows nicely, you can see the direction clearly, and the dark tones, just adds to the layers of magic and wonder.
Overall this book is a solid 5 start + from me, and it gets my super high recommendation and my golden stamp of approval. I’m looking forward to more books in this series!

This is an interesting story. I enjoyed reading it and getting to know Brody and Tails. They met under precarious circumstances. Each thought they were doing the right thing. But evil is afoot and once they are aware of it will they change their path? This story drew me in at the beginning and held on til the end. Some shocking things happen when the evil rises. I liked Brody for his no nonsense attitude. I think he was working himself into a pickle just because of the bogus laws being put Into place. Luckily Tails showed up to lead him astray…..or away.
I do want to make mention of the amazing cover! Very Cool looking!

Tails Always Wins by C.A. King is the first book in the Chasing Tails series. This book is a brilliant start to yet another great new series by an amazing author. C.A. King has become, very quickly, one of those authors that I don’t hesitate to read. Half the time I don’t even bother to read the description of the book because it won’t matter what it says, I know I will like what I read. She has such a way of telling a story that I instantly get lost in her words. This book was up the usual high standards too. I felt instantly connected to the characters. I was drawn into their story and taken on an exciting journey with them. It was a well thought out, fast paced story that I flew through in no time at all. This book also has to have one of my absolute favourite covers. It is so eye catching and vivid. I loved it the instant I saw it. I cannot wait to see what is next in this series.

I loved this book, where shifters and humans clash. This is a creative story that has well developed characters that pull you into the story and made it feel real. This story takes place in a world that is full of injustice and prejudice. A breed registry is created for dogs but what will happen when they had shifters to the mix? I enjoyed watching Brodie and Tails grow throughout the story, they made great characters. What will happen when they take charge of their future? A must read!

Tails Always Wins (Chasing Tails Book 1) By: C.A. King 5 out of 5 stars
The story Tails Always Wins (Chasing Tails Book 1) by C.A. King is a wonderful shifter book. It pulled me in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put the book down until I had finished the last page. It is a story that includes not only an interesting and entertaining storyline it also has 2 main characters that grew to care about with each chapter that I read. They are Brodie and Tails. Brodie is a shifter that keeps his nose clean. He doesn’t make waves. He keeps one side of himself hidden from society. He is finding it hard to stay under the radar. He then meets Tails. Tails is a woman who is strong, intelligent, and beautiful. Before she meets Brodie she never would have thought to question what she is told. What does the future hold for Brodie and Tails? Read this book to find out. There are moments that are sad, ones that are emotional, and there are times when you wonder what is going to happen next. I love shifter stories and I can add this one to my list of favorites. The author has done an amazing job of creating an awesome story with amazing characters. I highly recommend reading it.

Brodie spent his entire life keeping his nose clean and his other form hidden from society. Enrollment in an involuntarily threat evaluation was about to change everything. Failure left two choices: a death sentence or joining the fight. He had zero interest in leading a revolution, but the foxy lady at the centre of it all had him spinning in circles.
Tails spent the majority of her life learning the value of favours and how to extract them; a skill she put to good use for the cause. When a clumsy, run-of-the-mill shifter almost ruined everything, she found herself stuck on babysitting duty. In the past, questioning superiors never crossed her mind. The new addition to the pack not only turned her world upside down, but also had her second-guessing everything, including her own feelings.
Betting against them is a deadly mistake. Wherever destiny leads them, luck is sure to follow. In the end, no matter how many times the coin is tossed, one thing holds true… Tails always wins!

Joined: Book One by Mara Gan was magnificently creative and romantic. I loved Meda and Perseus. Both characters were developed well and easy to fall in love with. I also felt that the author did an excellent job on the supporting characters as well. There was enough description and backstory for several of them that seemed to help the storyline. Speaking of the storyline, I felt that it was easy to follow and had an amazing climax. Not once was I bored with it and honestly I had a hard time putting this book down. I also greatly appreciated the various artistic settings the author described in her novel. They were definitely creative and fun. I truly enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it. I look forward to reading more from this series.

What an incredible read! This is my first read by Mara Gan and what an amazing read it was! This book was an incredible take on Romance, Sci-Fi, Fantasy and even had a bit of a dystopian feel to it! I knew I would enjoy this read as soon as I picked it up 1 because of the synopsis of the read and 2 because of the cover! What a cover!
This was such a mentally visual read, I couldn’t help but feel as though I was being transported into the read as though I was there alongside the characters. I was totally captivated and entranced with this read, it held me captive and I couldn’t put it down until the very end! Mara Gan has an incredible writing style in which she creates an amazing storyline and then some brilliant characters and then along the way throws in some twists and turns that will keep you guessing till the end!
I’m so glad that I got the chance to read this book! I loved every minute of it and you will too! Don’t miss this read I highly recommend it!

Gumshoe and the Mysterious Mushrooms is the first book in the Gumshoe Mysteries series by Laura Hawks. I was taken with this book the moment I laid eyes on the beautiful cover- and as I had read several of Ms. Hawks’ books before, and had really enjoyed them, getting this one was a no-brainer. It is a YA mystery, with is a paranormal elements, action, adventure, humour, fun, and a bit of whimsy. The story was intriguing, even though it was a little predictable in parts, and even though it is targeted towards younger readers- I still really enjoyed it. The characters are well developed, fully realised, quirky, and entirely interesting. This is a very original, fun, quick, and easy read- it has a pretty fast pace and a smooth flow- which enabled me to devour the book very quickly. Ms. Hawks has always intrigued me with her clever storylines, and this story was no different. I loved meeting Mia, but particularly Gumshoe- who really stole the show. My favourite of Ms. Hawks’ books, so far!

Love Me Dreamy: A YA Paranormal Romance with Breathtaking Twists by Laura Burton is a fantastic stand-alone Novel. I found the book to be so mysterious right from the description. I immediately knew I had to read this book to find out what was going on – what the secret was, who the men in suits were and what would happen at the waterfall. The writing back up the book straight away too. It was gripping and well written. If you are a fan of YA then you should definitely try this book.

Love Me, Dreamy (Love Me Series) By: Laura Burton 5 out of 5 stars
The story Love Me, Dreamy (Love Me Series) by Laura Burton is a YA/paranormal/fantasy book. It is a story that I loved reading and found out once I started, I didn’t want to put it down until I had finished the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Amelia and Toby. There is an attraction and chemistry between them. Sparks fly when they are together. The only problem is the strange men in suits that keep appearing wherever they go. Who are they? Does Toby know more than what he is saying? What does the future hold for Amelia and Toby? Read this book to find out. This story is both mysterious and romantic. It is entertaining and it was an awesome book to read. I loved how much detail was put into the story and at times I felt like I was right there with Amelia and Toby. Don’t miss out on an exciting story that you won’t be able to put down. I highly recommend it.

I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. It is a creative, engaging story that is full of mystery, suspense and romance. I was pulled into this story right from the beginning and even had me sitting on the edge of my seat a few times. Ameila and Toby meet on a chance. Their chemistry grows with each date but are they being followed? Secrets, chances and a leap of faith could be Ameila’s undoing. I highly recommend their story to find out what happens with them, they will keep you guessing.

Fate brought them together… But the Universe is determined to tear them apart.
Sitting on a park bench, Amelia can’t remember how she got there. But when a young, Californian surfer wanders up, figuring it out doesn’t seem so important. The chance meeting leads to a date and then another. Sparks fly and although she never imagined falling in love with someone so much younger than her, he’s perfect.
That is… except for the strange men in black suits who keep showing up. Are they being followed?
Toby knows a secret, but if he tells Amelia, he risks losing her forever. With the guardians set on tearing him away from her, he whisks Amelia to another part of the world. They’re safe, but not for long. Their relationship is put to the ultimate test, when Toby and Amelia stand at the top of a waterfall. With only one chance to stay alive, he asks her to take a leap of faith. Amelia thinks they will surely die, but Toby insists it’s the only way to be together.
This YA Paranormal romance will take your breath away. If you enjoyed the Adjustment Bureau, Inception or The Matrix, you will LOVE this.
Note: No sex, swearing or accessive violence. HEA. No animals are harmed in this book.
