It’s never really a good sign when the old gods begin to meddle with the new world. As the “Unhidden” fight for survival from a group of xenophobic maniacs, a sickness breaks out and spreads like the Rona. Fast, deadly and unpredictable this plague only adds to the hatred and fear from the normal people. Our group is split up as they are pushed toward areas that can make better use of their talents. Anna, Komie, and Róisín are all contacted by entities claiming the names of old Irish gods offering their assistance.
I did enjoy the addition of the gods for this book. The multiple POVs are still distracting but I’m beginning to get the hang of jumping around so much. The sequence and timing of this book was different. I thought the last book jumped around but this one mentioned things regarding other characters before it was revealed and sometimes I had to pause a moment to remember where the character had last left off. I am beginning to get a personality variation between the characters which is exciting. Definitely will be checking out the last book.
