I really enjoyed this billionaire story. It wasnt like any ive read before. These two characters were great with the instant chemistry and quick witted comebacks. I really loved the Michaels Grandma she was a hoot. And i can’t wait to read more in this series.

The Light at Dawn by K.L. Montgomery is a book that rips your heart out and will keep haunting you for days after you finish it. I had read a couple of her other books and thought that I might know what I’d be getting into but I am telling you, leave all your preconceived notions at the door and open yourself up to something amazing! The Light at Dawn is a heart-breaking story of unspeakable tragedy that both Angelia White and Mark Lyon experience first-hand … it is something that will change their lives for ever, something that will make them to question everything they know, everything they believe in … you WILL CRY, a lot … so have a box of tissues nearby … seriously! It is a beautiful story about how two people take something unspeakable like a parent losing a child to a mindless violence, and using that experience take a stand and create something meaningful out of it! I loved the way the writer treated the issue that people are so heated AND divided over. You don’t find many writers who take this topic and write about it in such a touching way … Thank you so much for taking up the challenge and giving us The Light at Dawn!

Finding Juniper by Sadia Ash is the sequel of Juniper Smoke. Finding Juniper is not a standalone read as it starts where Juniper Smoke left off. After several weeks of Kyle and Juniper not speaking, Kyle is back in Maryland desperate to get Juniper back in his life. Juniper is not having it and has had enough with his looming history of women. She loves Kyle but not sure if she would be able to gain his trust and be with him. This angst filled book will have you pulling your hair and wanting to choke Kyle for being so stupid. Kyle and Juniper are meant to be together but continues to revert back to his old ways. Will Kyle be able to leave his past and finally win Juniper’s trust and be together as they should? I was waiting a while for this sequel and was happy to see that Sadia Ash finally released it. Sadia’s seamless story writing and her attention to detail in every scene is amazing. You are automatically transported to Juniper and Kyle’s world with Sadia’s colorful writing. I truly recommend this book and series, as it is very well written and one of my favorites for years to come.

The Light at Dawn by K.L. Montgomery was a raw emotional read that will get you in all the feels. This book requires tissues and ice cream.
Not my first read by this author, so I knew going in that the writing would be top shelf. This book blew me out of the water and it got me so hard in the feels that my eyes wouldn’t stop leeking.
I absolutely sincerely loved this book, school shootings always get me. As a Canadian I have the luxury that the anomaly of a school shooting is its something that hardly ever happens here. When I see them on the news it breaks my heart, so for the first part of the book, I was in tears. I had to take a break, just so I could get through the rest of the book.
I will say that some parts were predictable but it didn’t make me like it less. There’s a solid message in there that isn’t one or the other. Compromising together could have a better outcome than just going to one extreme. So the whole ending of the book, I absolutely adored.
The romance is a beautiful story, I love the progression of the main characters as the story went on. I also loved how the main story took place over about a year. It made the relationship that much more believable especially at the end.
This book is a must read, so please take my super high recommendation and my golden stamp of approval, that this book will rip out your heart and put it back together, rip it out again before the light of dawn rises… (see what I did there?).

Not even sure where to begin…..Im a complete and utter mess, and I have so many things I want to say but I can’t, I have to find a way to write this review without giving anything away and also get through it without crying…I should be out of tears with how many times they fell while reading this story.
I can without a doubt in my mind say with complete certainty that this will be one of my favorite books of this year and after thinking about it I know it will be in my top five of all time and in my top 2 favorites by this author. Speaking of top two, It took my breath away when the halfway point between Texas and New York became so important and I’m not going to even expand on why that is.
If emotions were muscles I’d be looking up names for why I was feeling so sore…I felt every single type of feeling there is, even ones I’ve never heard of. I’m so impressed with the care that was given to the topics in this book…I’m one of those that sees the important sides to every issue and this one is no exception, and it doesn’t matter where you fall on the issues this author took great care in handling both sides.
I wish I could call out so many scenes in this story and try to explain the feelings they invoked but I can’t…When I say you must read this book I mean that with all that I am..You Must Read This Book and that ending?!?!
I just can’t……
I truly didn’t think I could love this author more but she proved that wasn’t true!

Luke (Dark Water Security Series Book 1) by Madison Quinn

This is my first book by this author and I loved the storyline and the writing. The beginning of this story was really hard and set the stage for the rest of the book, and I loved how the experiences that started in the beginning followed through and the way it shaped our characters.
I loved the suspense of wondering …. Is she or isn’t she? And really didn’t know until the truth finally came out.
This was a quick read and I read it in one sitting and before I knew it I was done and already want more, and can not wait for this series to continue.
I love finding new to me authors and will be looking for more while I wait for the next in this story.

The story The Case of Missing Books (Summer McCloud paranormal mystery Book 6) by Nikki Broadwell is a supernatural mystery book. It is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning. I was turning pages to find out what would happen next. I loved how I was drawn into the mystery and intrigue of the book. I loved reading about the character of Summer. She and the other characters in the story are all unique and larger than life. Each one has their own part to play in the book. There are some characters that are helpful and others who have their own plans and will do anything to make their agenda a reality. When reading about Summer, my emotions at times went up and down with hers. She finds herself caught up in a mystery that includes danger and puts her in the path of a killer. She is a character that I came to care about and wished for her to be safe and happy. I love stories that include the supernatural, so I found this story a joy to read. It has some twists and turns to it that I didn’t see coming and I found myself not wanting to put it down until I had read the final page. There are some intense scenes along with some emotional dialogue. Don’t miss out on a book that has a wonderful storyline and amazing characters. I highly recommend reading it.

Ashley Bostock has created another series, that even after book 1 Nothing But Trouble you can tell how brilliant this series Irresistible Billionaire’s will be. I loved our main characters, Michael & Sophia, from the beginning. This author has a brilliant way of creating real and relatable characters, and to make it even better she has created a brilliant storyline that I was captivated with from start until the very end. This book has many twists, ones that you don’t expect and ones that you hope to see happen and when they do, it brings an extra level of excitement to the read. But even if you do expect them it doesn’t take the enjoyment away from this romantic read. I loved seeing both of these characters break down each other’s walls, but also make them see things in a different way. It really brought together their already real and true connection. These two hit it off immediately. Along their journey they face some bumps along the way. You can’t help but wish that after the pasts and present that these two live that they will finally get a HEA!
This was a brilliant read that shouldn’t be missed. I can’t wait to follow Cole’s story next in book 2, All Shook Up. And I hope this isn’t the last we read of Sophia & Michael’s story.

The story Feathers by Kylie Stewart is an amazing book that I loved reading. It is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning and I found myself lost in its pages. It is a book that had my emotions going up and down right along with the characters. I loved reading about the characters of Charlotte Waters and Hawk McLean. Charlotte is a young woman who has said that she will never trust men again. Her life has shown her the cruelty of others. Then she meets Hawk. Hawk is a man that has had a lot of emotional turmoil in his life. From a young age, he feels the pain of abandonment and unhappiness. Then he meets Charlotte. She finds herself trusting him. He feels that she has an old soul, one that reaches out to him. They both find an attraction to each other. Will they listen to their hearts? Will he keep a distance from her or will Hawk and Charlotte find their way to each other? Read this book to find out. This story has intense and emotional dialogue. I grew to care about the characters of Hawk and Charlotte with each chapter that I read and wanted them to find happiness. There is passion and desire. There are also steamy scenes that make the temperature in the room rise. There are additional characters that are introduced and I enjoyed reading about the part they play in the story and their interactions with Hawk and Charlotte. This is a story that once I started, I didn’t want to put down until I had finished. It is a book I would highly recommend reading.

The Light at Dawn by K.L. Montgomery is a must read! This is my favorite book by this author to date, which is saying a lot since I always love her work! It’s an incredibly emotional story about loss, heartache, love, and second chances. From the very beginning I was hooked, completely captivated by all the detail and emotion this author was able to convey.
I loved the flow of this storyline and the changes in different POV’s added an extra depth to the story. There were many unexpected twists that had me feeling all kinds of emotions and shedding many tears. It’s such a heart-wrenching story that everyone should read especially in this day and age! It’s a very powerful story that I would recommend to anyone!

Caught in Make-Believe by Sharleen Scott is another 5-star read in her Caught series! This is the third book in the series and having read all three I can say that they could be read as standalones, however, I loved the first two books so much so I would recommend reading this series in order. Caught in Make-Believe is a suspenseful romance read that had me sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to get answers to all my questions. It’s steamy, intense, detailed, action-packed and highly entertaining.
I love how this storyline flowed seamlessly with the many POV’s. The different POV’s had me feeling really intrigued as I tried to piece everything together! This series is one I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for their next romance suspense reads. It’s one that should not be missed!

This is an amazingly good story. It has many highs and lows. I was able to easily follow along and feel the anguish/pain and love of the characters. Hawk and Charlotte each thought they would be alone the rest of their lives because of their pasts. Little did they know all it took was one look and they were already living for their future. This is a story through the years for two with an emphasis on Charlotte’s life and love. I ached for Charlotte as her story started to unfold. The horrors are forever. Will the love of a good man be able to erase her past?
This is my first book by this author. I liked the characters. Hawk can be very expressive and I could feel his feelings near the end of the book. I enjoyed the title and how it’s used in this story.

Movie Star (21st Century Courtesan Book 2) by Pamela Dumond. This is the second book in the Courtesan Series and I love these books. It picks up where the first book left off and is about Evie and her life as a 21st Century Courtesan. Her latest assignment is Jake Keller, a movie star who is in a funk. Evie is strong, independent and beautiful. Her life has not been easy and she is taking care of her mentally ill mother and her strung out sister. Jake has been a huge movie star but has had an emotional and creative shut down so Evie is flying out to see if she can help. Jake is a sweet guy but has a broken past. Will Evie be able to get thru Jake’s tough exterior and help him have the breakthrough he needs. This is a great book, I loved it as much as the first one.

This is book three in the Caught Series. As far as I’m concerned, it’s another winner. Each book can be read as a stand-alone seeing as they focus on a different couple in each one. I highly suggest that you read the whole series because it is really good. This story focuses on Samantha Dylan, manager of Harlie’s bakery. She finds out things about her fiancé and breaks off the engagement. She’s fed up and actually considering leaving Angel Beach but then Jace Colton walks into her life.
Jace Colton has finally decided to return to Angel Beach to face some demons from his past. He needs to put them to rest. Unknowingly, someone has followed him which puts his and Samantha’s lives in danger. Secrets can destroy you, and Jace has plenty. Can Jace survive and protect Samantha as well?
Once again Sharleen Scott managed to play with my emotions. I had moments where I literally held my breath in anticipation of what was going to happen. There is a bit of mystery throughout the book which keeps you intent on piecing things together. When the author finally reveals what’s happening, it truly is a complete surprise. The story was entertaining and filled with wonderful characters. I absolutely loved this series and I’m sure you will too.

The Perfect Duchess by Erica Taylor is the second book in the Macalisters series. This book is as good as the first with interesting characters and a great story line. Historical fiction is always something that I find can go either way and yet this author nails it every time. The story is interesting and has just enough going on to keep your attention. I loved these two main characters, they seemed so well suited to each. So far this series I shaping up to be great!

The Monster’s Lover by Samantha MacLeod 4 out of 5 stars The Monster’s Lover in the first book in the The Fenris Series written by Ms. MacLeod and is the first book that I have read by this author. This story is about hardship, sacrifices, and love. The story started out slow but once you got into it, it was great. The characters are well written and there is a depth to Sol that wanted me to keep reading. The description of the background was vibrant and colorful. Sol Eriksen’s family has fallen on hard times since her father’s death. Her mother cannot provide her annual quota of purple oak so she trades Sol in payment to the cruel King Nøkkyn for one year in his harem. After running from some of the locals, she is at the river when she meets a handsome man, Fenris, who claims to be the dangerous beast that roams the Ironwood. She thinks he is playing games with her because this is the name of the mythical beast she heard about as a child. So is he a madman or a demon? She knows she shouldn’t listen to him but she is running out of options and time. Can Sol trust Fenris? Will Fenris let Sol down? Will he be able to save her from the cruel king? Read the story to find out… This book ends in a cliffhanger and I recommend this book….
Snatching Dianna (Feisty Lawyers #1) by Seelie Kay 4 out of 5 stars Snatching Dianna is the first book in the Feisty Lawyer series written by Seelie Kay and it’s the first book that I have read by this author. This book isn’t really my kind of reading but I enjoyed this short story. This story contains intrigue, suspense, humor, action, adventure, danger, drama, and some romance. Dianna Murphy a Milwaukee law student has been kidnapped. Her roommate reports her missing, but unfortunately, without witnesses and solid evidence, all the police really know is that she is missing. In steps in Law Professor Janet MacLachlan, a former covert agent, she discovers a single clue, one that points to a taking by a slave trafficking cartel. In a race against time, Janet recruits her husband, secret agent Cade Matthews, small-town Police Chief David Manders and his wife, criminal defense attorney Julianna Constant, and other law students to uncover the truth. Can they prove that Dianna was taken against her will? Will she be lost forever if they can’t find any-more clues about her disappearance? The characters are great and well written, the plot was good. This book was easy to read. I recommend this book.
Luke is the first book in the Dark Water Security series by Madison Quinn. If this first book is anything to go by, then this is going to be one hell of a series. This book had me hooked from the very beginning. It dragged every single emotion out of me leaving me speechless at times and in tears at other times. Have some tissues handy when reading this book, particularly during the first few chapters which are harrowing but the story is told so well. The author does a fantastic job of telling the story, building the characters and taking you on a roller coaster journey through every emotion possible. 10 years previously, teenage Luke was kidnapped by a maniac who locked him in the basement only allowing him out of the basement to train in a gym for an hour a day and to take part in fights. Luke’s world is turned further upside down when his brutal captor also takes teenage Emily hostage. Thrown together in the basement Luke and Emily grow very close and rely on each other for survival. Back to the present time and Luke’s security firm hire a computer whizz called Emily. This brings everything crashing back to Luke and he can’t stop thinking of the Emily he was imprisoned with and constantly compares the 2. As he becomes more attracted to Emily, can he accept her for who she is and not just because she reminds him of his first love? This is most definitely a book that I will read again and I look forward to seeing what else Madison Quinn comes up with in the rest of this series.

I just finished reading Caught in the Spin, by Sharleen Scott (book 2 in the Caught series).
I’m going to start by saying that before I read this one, I read the first book in this series, Caught in Cross Seas and I loved it!
And although I was fully smitten and infatuated with Clay and Harlie – I got to say that Tallie and Tom are now my new favorite couple (at least until the next book, haha).
We got to know Tom a lot and we learned a lot about his painful past – and it was obvious from the beginning of the book that you wanted nothing but the best for this man.
Enter Tallie and her son.
As Harv’s new assistant, she heads up to the Masterson-Black ranch with some paperwork, already pretty nervous about meeting music star Clay Masterson.
Little did she know she’d meet Tom Black and feel this instant attraction to this stubborn, hurting man.
I loved their relationship right from the beginning and although I wouldn’t wish a Roy Peters on anyone – I have to say that his involvement in this storyline made my adrenaline race and my temper flare!
I cannot say enough about Scott’s writing style and her unbelievable talent for taking us lucky readers on an actual rollercoaster of emotions!
I really didn’t know how she’d top the first book but somehow, she did in spades!

Shattered is a part of the Torzial Affair three book series by Via Mari. I have loved Via Mari’s other stories so I knew I would like this story as well. One thing about Via Mari’s stories is that I am pulled into the stories just like I am part of the family. There are some twists and turns that came out of nowhere. The story moves at a quick pace and I even started to yell at Jenny because of some of her dumb moves. The book is about Jenny and Brian and their relationship. They are both strong people who have some stressors and have built walls around themselves. Will Jenny and Brian make it, or will they have problems because of the past?

Luke was a story that I was not sure what to expect and went in with an open mind. I am grateful that I took that leap and listen to myself about the story. Luke is the first book in Madison Quinn’s Dark Water Security series. The mystery, thriller, and psychological genres are my favorite and Luke have a bit of all those genres in the story. Luke had a rough go at life. He was kidnapped by a crazy mad man. He has tried to put it behind him, but little things keep coming up to remind him of that time. Along comes Emily and Jake is reminded of someone of his past, but he keeps putting that out of his mind. He is attracted to Emily, but he is trying to let the feeling go of her familiarity and embrace her for who she is.

I’ll be honest, This book took me by absolute surprise. I LOVED IT! Its the first book in the Fenris series and I’m ready to dive into more!
This book is based of the Norse myth of Fenrir which is a massive wolf. I love how Miss MacLeod spun mythology into her own story to make it her own. She has a way of hooking you from the very beginning and not let you up until the very end. Yes, the book is shorter than most BUT it’s jam packed with so much but I promise it won’t overwhelm you.
This book alone has intrigued me to read her other works and I went right ahead and one-clicked them. If your looking for something different then this book and beginning of a series is A MUST!

Bound, the second book in the Torzial Affair series by Via Mari picks up right where Shattered left off. This installment ramped up the action to the point that my heart was racing from the first page to the very last page. Where I felt a little like I was missing part of the story with Shattered, Bound definitely made up for that as it was definitely easier to follow. Jenny’s past is still haunting her in this book and she can’t seem to escape, but where she only had to worry about one person’s deviousness, she now has a big target on her back from another, worse entity. I definitely enjoyed this story over the first book, maybe due to the fact that it didn’t dwell on what had happened in the author’s previous series but centered around Jenny and Brian and what they were dealing with. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series now especially since this one just seemed to end at an integral part of the storyline.

The Case of the Missing Books is the sixth book in the Summer McCloud Paranormal series by Nikki Broadwell. I have been enjoying Ms. Broadwell’s stories and had decided to read all her books to get ‘up-to-date’ with everything. When this story popped up on my feed, I was immediately intrigued by the title and immediately grabbed a copy. I didn’t realise at the time that tit is the sixth book in the series, but it read well as a standalone, and I didn’t feel like I was missing any important information- although I am intrigued enough to read the rest of the books in the series. This is a clever mystery, with paranormal elements, murder, fantasy, touches of magic, drama, and adventure. I love how Ms. Broadwell’s stories are always so original- infusing each one with her unique style and ‘feel’. I found this to be very creative and imaginative- and I also love how magic was woven into the story. Ms. Broadwell created a wonderfully vivid, fully realised, and believable ‘world’ in which she set her story, and interesting and likeable characters to lead us through. Bring on the rest of the series!

A great read about moving forward. Raina Rocklyn always likes to help people. When she saves a homeless man from being attacked in the rain, she thinks it is just a kind act for someone in need and will never see him again. Twenty odd years later, she bumps into successful plastic surgeon Ronan Blake while working in a market. She falls for him despite his standoffishness towards her but is there more to him than meets the eye? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Raina standing up for herself but still kind underneath or Ronan trying to be a better man with a kind heart. Great cast of supporting characters like the bubbly sister Shannon or the kind but stubborn father of Sydney. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like in the busy city full of life and people with its busy streets and restaurants. Or the contrast with the farm and vineyard and market full of fruit and veg and bright colourful flowers in blues and yellows is simple beauty. Or the rain and thunder and lightning with its sounds and smells and seen as a good omen like in folklore instead of being ominous as it is in literature which was refreshing and a lovely touch perfectly written. The switch of perspectives was well written to display both sides of the story and with the asterisks dividing it with their names made it easy to follow for the reader. I also liked the use of dates and places in the chapter titles which was a great addition to give the reader a clear sense of location and to display how much time had passed. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.

This was such a great story! Luke and Michelle meet under some very unfortunate circumstances. They become everything to each other during the seven months they are together. When they are finally able to escape their circumstances they go their separate ways and try to get on with their lives. Ten years later their paths cross again when Emily comes to work for Luke. Working on a case together has them spending all of their time together. Reading about when they first met was heart breaking with some very sweet moments mixed in. There is a love scene during that time, which I skipped over. I just personally do not like reading scenes like that when the people involved are under the age of 18. That’s just me. Other than that it was a really great story with some great characters. I can’t wait to read Alec’s story. Hopefully his will be next!

Infamy was an exciting second instalment in this series by Seelie Kay. I really enjoyed book 1 so was definitely looking forward to reading the second and I wasn’t disappointed at all. The author’s writing kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through and I loved all the twists and turns that constantly kept me guessing. Although this is a short read it is packed full of action, drama and more. I was pleased to see characters from the first book again and also to be introduced to some new ones. I really enjoyed the author’s writing style and how she was able to cram so much story into a short read. The book could be read and enjoyed as a standalone however I loved book 1 so would also recommend that one as well as this book. I am definitely looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future.
We meet Susanna who has decided to pursue something with Lord Riverton since no one seems to be showing interest in marrying her, no thanks to her brothers. She thinks he’s the only one, until she meets Lord Westcott, could there be something there with him?
Lord Westcott (Ian) meets Susanna while walking through the park, after seeing who she is with he decides to get vengeance against her suitor. Ian tries to warn Susanna away from Lord Riverton, will it work? Will he end up falling for her?
Susanna was great, although I think she always got the short end of the stick when it came to her brothers. I didn’t like how they treated her. I really wanted her to find someone that would sweep her off her feet. The secondary characters were great and I look forward to reading more from them. Overall I really enjoyed this book, I had some LOL moments. Erica Taylor has done a great job with her debut book, I was pulled right in by her writing.

CAUGHT IN MAKE BELIEVE is the 3rd story in “The Caught Series” and I think it would be best to read the stories in order. The author is a very detailed writer and there are characters who cross over each story and common threads that connect the whole series together.
Like with the other stories in the series, it’s a character rich telling of a tale. A suspense with romance and new beginnings – very detailed and layered as the story moves along at a decent pace. There are times when I felt disconnected from the main characters and other times when I was so absorbed it was if the pages were turning themselves.
This is a complete and fulfilling series that I would recommend.

The Light At Dawn was an emotional rollercoaster of loss, love, and new beginnings. I cried, laughed, cried, and shouted for joy while reading this novel. I have never read a book so touching. The novel touches on the topic of gun control but it is not the main focus. The loss of two children to gun violence and their broken families is the focus. Two individuals help to build each other up after their great loss and a new love arises from it. There was a huge surprise in the novel that I did not see coming that made me extremely happy. This is definitely one of those books I can read again and again.
