Moonlit Mirage: A Cook Islands Romance (Moonlit Destination Series) by Amy McKinley. I love how so much was packed into this novella but it was still a smooth read. Characters are complex and well developed, you can’t help but feel a connection to them. I’m always in awe of this author because I love the well written storyline and characters that you keep thinking about well after you’ve finished reading. I love a book that takes me on a journey that keeps me on my toes and this one did just that. This may be a short read but it holds no punches and is one of my top reads for the year so far. Five stars all the way and highly recommended. I can’t wait to see where the author takes readers next.
Before the Second Show by Thia Finn a five-star read that will rock you. Rockstar romance are a hard one to get right, so I usually avoid them unless I know the author and enjoy their style already, but I took a chance on this one and I am so glad I did as this was brilliant. This was such a fast paced read for one that spans such a great length of time, but it was so well done as you get to see Emmy go from wide eyes 16 year old, to a woman in her own right, but as we all know that first major crush has a lot of miles to it, especially when the guy your with isn’t all he thinks he is. This is a stand-alone, but there are so many great characters I would love to hear more from, I will be eagerly watching this author to see if this becomes a series as I will be reading them if they do.

This is the second book in this series and it was just as good as the first! I would recommend reading these books in order because the reading experience is so much better that way! This book was good! Which I have come to expect when I pick up a book by this author I know I’m in for an awesome story. This book was well written and the creativeness and attention to detail was great. Plus the main characters are interesting and the author made me interested in seeing how their stories would play out. This book kept me on the edge of my seat with a few twists and turns and some drama thrown in. The Flame and the Blade is the first book in the Flame and Blade series by Meredith Hart. It is a wonderful romantic fantasy- with plenty of action, adventure, magic, swords and sorcery, mages, paranormal elements, and fantastic world building. Ms. Hart has a rich, detailed and descriptive style to her writing- which brought her world and all the characters to life. I was pulled into the story, experiencing all the action right alongside the characters. It was easy to get lost in the story (in a great way) and I didn’t want to leave until I had read every word. Lyria and Verthe are so well developed, with their own individual personalities, quirks and flaws- the book definitely wouldn’t be the same without them. This is a captivating start to a new series, and if this book is anything to go by- the rest of the series is set to be fantastic! Can’t wait to get my hands on the second book, “IN THE SHADOWS OF THE CITADEL”. Well worth the read!

I loved Cassandra. I loved going on the ups and downs with her. Cassandra doesn’t give up! This story is fantasy with mystery and romance thrown in the mix. Though I do feel there were a few spots where the story didn’t flow well, I did enjoy reading Cassandra’s story, and look forward to future stories in this series!

What a pleasant surprise that even though I hadn’t read the first few books in the series I was able to follow the story pretty well, Typically though I prefer to follow the series starting at book one. So I’ll be definitely going to start from book one and continue with the series 🙂 Amy McKinley does a great job with mixing Romance and suspense to keep you reading through the pages to find out what happens next! Amy McKinley has created some great characters in this story and I look forward to reading more of this series!

I absolutely loved reading Chasing Starlight by Jennifer Siddoway and Matilda Reyes! The book took only a couple of chapters before it drew me in, and after that I was hooked! I’ve read several fae books before, but none like this. This one was very unique in its content and fae abilities. I loved the romance and slight suspense I felt. I was very anxious to see what happened with the Shadow Demon and was not disappointed! Also, in non-spoiler fashion, I absolutely loved the lion wanting to be called King of the Murder Kitties! I died laughing. I enjoyed this book so much and I highly recommend it!

Eden has goals in mind, and those goals include working hard and doing everything possible to make her life a better one than she’s been dealt with. Having been through a lot as a kid, her world turned upside down she wants to pay it forward and do good in the world. She has a plan, but all that changes when she’s summoned to meet someone about a job. What she doesn’t expect as her world changes again are to meet Rhett.
Rhett lives and breathes hockey. The sport saved him when his world fell apart. He had the one person he could count on ripped from him and he had to learn how to live again. He was angry at the world and no longer understood things. He’s living his dream and nothing can stop him. What he doesn’t expect is to meet Eden and have everything changed all over again for him.
In the end, they have a lot of ups and downs. I loved their love story! it was sweet, chaotic, hot, and one of a kind. Its a love story about compassion and understanding and growing. A fabulous read that makes you swoon!

King & Hunt: A Lust / Hate Story by Brienne Dubh certainly lives up to its title of lust/love/hate. I really enjoyed this story and it had me wanting more. It is a novella that is quick and steamy, sexy and hot and is perfect with a drink for a few hours to escape. It is a fun story that will capture your heart and leave you anticipating what comes next. It’s like they say there is a fine line between love and hate. A really good read and I hope we get more from Brienne.

Chasing Starlight: Cassandra’s Story (The Daughters of Night Chronicles) by Matilda Reyes & Jennifer Siddoway is a short fantasy romance and an interesting tale to add to the series. It does take time for the story to get going though. It seems that being Fae is not everything it is cracked up to be when you have to live the life. Whilst I did like the story the premise was not quite there and there were somethings that detracted from me getting lost in the words and it becoming a great story. There were lots of mistakes with editing & words and that made me have to stop and read through that part again, so there was not that easy flow. There was also a bit of repetition in parts that didn’t need to be told again as it did not add anything more to the story. I liked the characters, but they did not draw me in they seemed to be a little lacking. Having said that if you can overlook these things, I am sure you will like the story. I look forward to seeing what the ladies have next.

For one thing, I love the simplicity of the cover yet it draws you in! I absolutely loved this read, from beginning to end. This read had humour, romance, steaminess , it had me laughing out loud and had me grinning from ear to ear. For this being a quick read it didn’t lack in anything it was fast-paced, easy to read and brilliant from start to finish. This author has created an epic storyline two incredible characters that I couldn’t help but love everything about it, I loved their chemistry and banter even when they were enemies. This made for the perfect read to just sit and lose myself in in one sitting! I can’t wait to read more from this author, I will definitely be on the lookout for more from her.

I enjoyed this book immensely. The main characters had a chemistry that was palpable and I liked that the POV switched between them. The plot was easy to follow and had interesting twists! I never saw the ending coming. I read cover to cover because I couldn’t put it down. Great job. 5 stars.

Before the Second Show by Thia Finn is the first book I have read by this author. Fin’s writing styles kept me wanting to read the next page more quickly than the last page.The plot line is always moving and really never pulls a sudden stop. The characters are fresh and new. It is amazing how they could be my friends and neighbors. Emmy and Alex are the main characters in this story. They each have some hills to straighten out to be able to move forward. Will they figure out what needs to be done? Will there be a future for Emmy and Alex? You will have to read the story to find out.

Mountains Climbed (Mountains Series Book 2) by Phoebe Alexander. I was so excited to read this book and as always I wasn’t disappointed at all. I highly recommend reading these in order as it continues from book one with the same characters. Once again this author takes readers on an emotional ride with James and Sarah. Sarah is trying hard to move on in her life but sometimes fate just won’t let our heads do the deciding. The characters are complex and well developed, they each play well off one another. Each having a story worth reading. The storyline is well paced and well thought out. I was completely hooked from start to finish. I’m super excited for book three and can’t wait to see where the author takes readers next. Five stars all the way and highly recommended!

REWIND BOXED SET (BOOK 1-4) by Rowan Shaw. I’ve really enjoyed reading all these stories. They are different and unique to their own. Each one is packed full of emotions that are written in a way that you can’t help but feel every single one. I was excited to see these got a box set because I’m a huge fan of box sets helping me find new authors and this author definitely needs found because the books are incredible. Each book has characters you won’t be forgetting for a long time. If you’re looking for something unique and different I highly recommend this box set. Each storyline is well written and paced nicely. Five stars all the way and highly recommended.

Before the Second Show by Thia Finn was really good! It was a typical romance story, the only difference being the romantic interest is a rockstar. The story takes place in Austin, Texas which I kind of liked having as a background. Plot and storyline was great, great characters with some funny aspects. The band guys had me laughing throughout the whole novel! This is my first novel I’ve read by Thia Finn and I immensely enjoyed it and will read more from her in the future! I recommend this novel, it is 18+ with some scenes and language throughout.

This book had me hooked from the beginning!! Even though this is a shorter read it still has everything from, romance, suspense, twists and turns, and let’s not forget the wonderful characters. When Cade was in a car accident one night and was saved by Nadia he couldn’t get her out of his head. Nadia felt the connection between them as well and she risked everything by saving him. Nadia has a secret from her past that might jeopardize a chance at a relationship these two might be able to pursue after running into each other years later. This is a must read if you want to find out what happens between these two. This author is an exceptional writer and I always look forward to reading anything and everything she puts out. I can’t wait to read the next book. I highly recommend this book.
How do you have a love story when the main characters are wholly committed to not falling for anybody, anytime. In Other Words (Boothbay Harbor Book 1) by Pamela Q. Fernandes is a book that shows us just how that happens. This is just such a sweet story. I felt like it was a window into the way many of us behave. We don’t say what we think or feel. Sometimes we do it out of fear, or courtesy, and then sometimes we don’t say it because we love. And because we love we are not going to cross the line that we think may or may not be there. Sometimes we lose. We lose opportunities, adventures, and sometimes we lose a love that legends are made of. Will Trish and Michael find that legend? Romance is not a genre that I read a lot but this one was well worth the read.

Mountains Climbed is the second book in the Mountains series by Phoebe Alexander . I loved this book just as much as I did the first one. I will highly suggest reading this series in order to get to know all the characters from each Book. This Author is one of my favorites I’ve never read a book by her that I didn’t love. Her stories are always very creative and the characters are very well developed and easily relatable and very lovable. Get ready for a emotional rollercoaster ride with these characters Lt. James and Dr. Sarah. She’s trying to move on with her life and has a new man in her life but that doesn’t stop her from thinking about James. .He can’t get her out of his head, problem is he’s far from home and stop thinking about her. Can Garrett be the distraction she needs? Can they find a way to be just friends ? Find out what happens next. I can’t recommend this book enough.i can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Its about Cassandra Williams who is living her best life after moving to Southern California. She loves her job as a Elementary School teacher and she has even been able to moonlight as a Dream Weaver. Her father is the Lord of Night and he insists she collect all the dust left over from dreamers every night. Things are going so well Cassandra thinks she might even have time for some romance until the shadows make their scary dark appearance and try to keep Cassandra from leaving. Once she learns that other Dream Weavers are starting to disappear she knows she has to help or will she be defeated by the Shadow demon? Read Chasing Starlight to find out! This was a fast paced, information packed book. I loved following Rhett and Eden. We get to see two people on opposite sides of the emotion spectrum, both crave love but one denies it and thinks they aren’t good enough and the other uses it express all feelings in one. Eden didnt have the best life and is given a fresh start as a surprise. Rhett gets an odd injury and needs to sleep at his captains house until he is better. Fireworks ezplode between these 2 and it was a ride to the end but so worth it. Cant wait for more in this series .

Wow-what a great read! Good mix of romance and suspense, While following Nadia Bennett and Cade Malone’s story, you can’t help but want to keep reading to see what’s going to happen next. Amy McKinley has a great writing style and I enjoyed reading this book and will be interested in reading the rest of this series 🙂
The Rewind Box Set by Rowan Shaw is a fantastic collection of books that are emotional and absolutely captivating. The author has done an amazing job showcasing different characters and relationships. Each of these books is well written and developed perfectly. The whole series has a great pace to it. It builds the stories gradually, adding depth and emotions that draw you in and keep hold of your attention fully. If this is your style of book then I cannot recommend this series enough.

New book – fun read! Christian and Gabriella jumped off the page and their emotions were high and vivid. You felt every single thing quite clearly and I really enjoyed watching the relationship evolve, so to speak. A very quick read that I thoroughly enjoyed. Definitely recommended reading for romance lovers.

In Other Words is the first book in the Boothbay Harbor Series by Pamela Q Fernandes. I had previously read Bowled by this author and loved it so was happy to read this book also. I have to say that I really loved this book. It’s very different from Bowled but both are excellent reads. Trish Holt is a pianist who has serious abandonment issues. She was adopted at a young age and was treated badly by her adoptive parents, more so when they had a biological child of her own. All Trish wants is to be loved. She has recently been dumped by her boyfriend of 3 years who has been having a relationship with her manager. Michael Quentin is a top class chef. His sister is recently widowed and he is helping bring up his niece Hannah. He loves women but is a once and done kinda guy, certainly not relationship material. So when he lets Trish move into his sister’s house and gives her a gig at his restaurant playing piano, why can’t he get her out of his head. Trish and Michael couldn’t be any more opposite if they tried. She’s desperate for someone to love her for the rest of her life. Michael doesn’t believe in love. This is an amazing story depicting the conflict going through Michael’s head and the desperation faced by Trish. The interactions between the 2 of them are amazing to read, the sexual chemistry is off the chart and their sexual encounters are particularly steamy. Will Michael realise that Trish is the best thing to happen to him or will he push her away? This book is definitely well worth a read.

This is one of those novels you read and you just lose yourself amongst the pages and once you’ve finished the novel you just want to reread it all over again. I found the storyline so addictive I just couldn’t pull my eyes away I was eager to turn the pages to read more. I honestly can’t wait to read more from this author. I fell in love with all the character’s they all were so relatable and I found myself feeling for them throughout.

Mountains Wanted is definitely quite the read! It is fun and steamy and you don’t want to put it down right from page one. I literally caught myself chuckling with the main character, Sarah after the first sentence of the book. Obviously I HAD to see where the author took it from there! I could tell you all about the story, but if you read the book, you will get the plot. To me, the most important part is how this book made me feel! It made me feel angry, it made me laugh, it definitely made me appreciate the steamy moments!
Sarah and James create a story that you are left wanting so much more of! Thankfully there is a sequel because I know that I definitely can NOT wait to read it! As always, Pheobe Alexander did an amazing job at truly making the reader want to keep reading, a true sign of a wonderful author. A 5 star read for sure!

Moonlit Mirage: A Cook Islands Romance by Amy McKinley is part of the Moonlit Destination series. This is a novella and is a wonderful little read. Also, this can be enjoyed as a standalone story. Nadia Bennett and Cade Malone meet on a fateful night and don’t see each other again until… You have to read about the unbelievable attraction which brings the two together. Nadia holds a secret that could tear them apart just as they are truly beginning. I really enjoyed this quick read and like the mix of action, suspense, and romance. I always look forward to reading Amy McKinley and this did not disappoint.
