A Second Chance is a story about mates losing touch. About how people can come between you and your fate. I found this story to be sad because Derek and Anna didn’t believe in each other enough to find out the truth. They let the words of others guide their actions and emotions. I did enjoy the realistic spin on the wolf part. Most books have the people turning into wolves whenever. These wolves were fully controlled by the moon. It was a nice change. I liked the relationship between the pack. I really liked Gram. Overall a nice smooth read.

I really liked this story. So many emotions to process. The characters had to come to terms with so many of their flaws and learn to get over it. The lessons they learned made them better characters and better partners. I liked Abby’s character the best. She is dealing with so much and yet her outlook on life is so bright. Alexa was a little snobby to me. But them you would read a chapter and see another side to her. She was a very complex character. Kent could be my superman any day. He is very guarded and uptight. He has to deal with a lot throughout the story and it really highlights his strong points. You also see some moments that show a softer side to him. Overall I am excited to see what happens next. The author gave a lot to this story and the mystery of the stalker was a great way to add more filling to the story. It wasn’t just another HEA. They characters worked for their peace and I feel it is well deserved.

A little twist for the holidays. When Mel finds herself in a country where she doesn’t know the language who would’ve guessed that love would be in the air. I guess that’s one language everyone knows even when they don’t speak the same language. I liked that the author brought another culture into play and used the language instead of just having the characters speak English. The story was good even though it was not believable.

This series has gotten better with each book. This story is super sad because everyone losses so much. All the death just doesn’t seem necessary. Revenge is ugly but presents itself as this wonderful thing that will make you feel better. Hale is in that dark space and there is no out for him. He truly didn’t know how to go on. Wren was a little useless to me. I don’t understand her character. I love stories about magic. It’s a world of infinite possibilities. I also love sweets. I was at the edge of my bed reading the last few chapters waiting for the end. I was shocked and saddened by all that transpired. Let’s hope the last book gives us an HEA.

This story was so touching. Lia is having a life crisis that she didn’t see coming. Choices were made for her and her heart was broken. Jake was a total jerk. He was a coward for how he handled the whole thing. I like how we see Lia’s journey through her emotions. She experienced so many different things and felt 100 different ways all in one day. I think She did better than most people in this situation. I was sad that there wasn’t more interaction with Declan. I would’ve liked to know more about him. Caleb was an interesting character to throw in there. I felt that Lia took something from everyone around her to start her life over. Lessons were learned and a new chapter began. It was sad and beautiful the life lessons you read in this story.

This was a short read about a guy who liked older women. He definitely didn’t discriminate toward women. The story was ok it didn’t really offer you much. It was just little reads about his life experiences. I found humor in some of it because I can see this happening to some college kid. I would like to read a full length novel from this author. This story gave you a glimpse of what the writer could produce. It seems promising to me.

I laughed a little too hard while reading this story. The author combined a serious issues with some comedic moments. People are judged by everything the do when they’re in the spot light. Even when they leave that life everything they do is watched. I really felt bad for Theo but another part of me felt like he was just whining. There were multiple solutions for his issue. I just think he was so use to playing that role that it was hard to change. Family ties are such a hard thing to maintain when you hold so much pain and anger inside you. I loved these characters though. Hadley was really sweet but I also want to say naïve. She took life too seriously. They balanced each other out in my opinion. Hadley was serious and Theo was a joke.

I have really enjoyed the Devil MC books. The author has done an excellent job putting these characters into this life. The author gives them purpose other than finding their old lady and saving the day. I’m having a hard time deciding which book is my favorite though. Quinn and Lucas are super adorable and then there is Brooklyn she is too cute. But the twist in this story was sad and painful. The hurdles they had to jump were too much. I don’t see how they will overcome them. This relationship will definitely take a lot of work. Loved the story though. I’m still waiting for my biker lol.

I couldn’t live such a dangerous life. Fear a constant emotion. Kat lives a life full of love, passion, drama, possessive men and drug lords. Chase is a possessive man he needs to control everything around him. He learns to compromise with Kat on many things. I would love a guy like Chase but not as possessive. I liked that he cared about what happens to her but when do you get a breather? The author gave us a little bit of everything in this story. There was so much danger for everyone involved. The story was quick and smooth. I liked how the author bring these characters together. How they have grown from book one to book four. They definitely show growth in their relationship.

This story was a little confusing. I got lost a lot and had to go back and reread some parts. I did enjoy the story. It was a different direction than most books take. Usually the lead has all this power and stops the bad guy. In this story Em has some powers but doesn’t know how to use them. She isn’t really on board to defeat the bad guy until her man gets involved. I am still not too sure about Helga. She doesn’t vibe right to me. The plot isn’t explained at all doing the book. I’m still trying to figure out what lead to Lourie being this way and why is she after Em. It’s an interesting read with the time traveling and magic.

So she sets out to go spend the next 2 weeks in a cabin with her friend. When a series of events have her alone in this place. She meets some interesting people and a shy cop. Rudi is a strange fellow and I got creeper vibes from him while reading the story. Elf is a klutz and a little scatter brain. I did enjoy the story though it gave me a lot of laughs. The author did a good job bringing it together. There were a few moments that were confusing. But over all it was a fun and short read.

Rhapsody and Rebellion is one of my favorite type of books. I love Historical Romance novels. You get to place yourself in a time from 100 of years ago. To be in a time where men were gentleman. They held doors, came to pick you up for dates and showed you with respect. Even though in those times women were more like property and broodmares. I mostly like the parts were the men are rakes and all the girls are in love with him but the mom and chaperone are like stay away. I really enjoy the authors take on this time period. Gideon and Lissie are very unique characters. The gift brought the story a twist that was very enjoyable. The only thing I disliked was the way they spoke. I understand that the way they spoke was normal but goodness I could do without. Overall a good read if you like your historical romance filled with adventure and strong characters.

Each book in this box set is unique to my reading taste. I don’t usually go for books about swingers because it’s not a lifestyle I could see myself living. I do have to say that the author did make it sound tempting. Every character was some one you would do a double take to if you found out. The diversity between characters was refreshing. I really liked Paisley. We all need that reminder to love who we are and change what we want to change. Not because someone doesn’t like it but because we see a need to change.

Rebel said what she thought and it was refreshing. McCutie was also a favorite he plays a great knight in a delivery uniform lol. I would’ve like to see more character development and background. The side characters were great I like Da Nise lol. I couldn’t get over that part. Ria seems like a very likable but insecure character. Over all I enjoyed it for what it was.

I think that all the characters were well developed for the length of the stories. One story even had a little mystery in it lol. I did enjoy imagining the southern accents. In Snow Birds Springs by Cheryl Gorman the author shows us the power our minds and heart hold. The character suffers a great loss but gains a cowboy in return. I liked that the stories gave you a taste but pulled back to make you want more. Plus who doesn’t want a cowboy?

TRULY UNFORTUNATE(welcome to knollville book 1) By C. A. King

Truly Unfortunate was a unique and slightly twisted read. You have this character Truly who has no memory and is surrounded by bad luck. She did everything she could to stay on a good path. There was always someone there putting her down. I was shocked when all the crazy deaths started happening. But was excited for the twist the author threw in the book. I am a firm believer in karma. I think the punishment for the characters crime was extreme but they were wrong. The only thing I wish was different was the details about Truly. She really had no personality and we don’t really get to know her. But I did see the point the author was making this was a story about a mysterious town. I say read this story because it’s a little twisted and if you have a dry or dark sense of humor it’s perfect.

I really have enjoyed this serious. I liked this book but it was hard for me to read. It hit too close to home. I have a lot of friends who came here because of their parents when they were babies. I find it shameful that they are living in fear of being kicked out of the only place they have called home. Ok I need to focus on the store and not get too emotional. Mouse was so mysterious. He gave off that lone wolf vibe and it worked. It sucked that he fought himself. There is a way for you to have balance with multiple heritage. He just needed to find his balance. I believe that Ma is his balance. She gave him a different family and something worth fighting for. I was so scared for Marissa through this whole story. The fear and uncertainties she lived with. I didn’t like the lawyer she didn’t know anything and was kind of wrong in the way she stated that she would need more money for her legal fees. Overall this story was an emotional rollercoaster for me. I felt so many emotions and hatred was a big one. I am still in shock over how hateful people can be.

Felicity is every mom. She deals with the stress and struggle of single parenting even though she is in a committed relationship. It’s not always bad but there are days when we mom’s need a break. The story of Connor and Felicity is one of finding yourself and learning to give in. You have to know when to give and when to take. The spot light seems to be a hard life to live in. I couldn’t imagine going day to day someone speculating what my husband was doing or who. I really enjoyed the characters in this book. The really came to life on the pages. I liked the way the author expressed the relationship struggles. It never seemed like Felicity was whining about her lot in life. Just that she knew she needed help and that she wished her husband was around more. I liked the moments in the past were we learned about the beginning of them.

This story gives you the feeling that it’s just another HEA. But you would be wrong to think that. Jace is more than just a writer and his choices has put a lot of people in danger. He experienced a lot of lose and pain. I didn’t like him at first but he grew on me as the story went on. Sam is a great character and I felt a great match for Jace. She was funny and down to earth. She didn’t tae herself too serious and I amirer how strong she was. She kept her head up in the face of so much disappointment. Liked the way the author put this story together. The mystery, suspense and action was so thrilling. I had no clue what to expect next. The author gave these characters a view of the world that not many experience. The thought that you don’t have a place to live or how you were going to feed your kid. Most people don’t worry about this but it’s a fear many have. I enjoyed how quick and smooth this story was. I didn’t really have to stop and reread anything. Overall this is something you would want to read if you are looking for something more than your usual.

This story is some woman’s dream come true. Though I like the thought I don’t think I could handle three men. I have to say Gabriel was my favorite amongst the men. He had the most restraint and loyalty. Though his loyalty was there by force he did what he was told. I liked that he didn’t let his needs out way their safety. He had great control even when her heat was at its worse. I liked that Liam and Mason knew what they wanted and wasn’t afraid to go after it. They protected Havana and cared for her every need. Now if I could only find a man to do that for me ? I really liked this authors writing style. It was very smooth and effortless. I enjoyed every moment in this story even the cliché zombie part. I am very interested in knowing how they deal with the consequences of their actions.

The First backwards Christmas was a super cute short read. The author gives you a lot in a few chapters but it’s fun and well written. When people start to leaves their small town Jack and Joyce are worries that their relationship would be next. But that doesn’t stop Joyce from letting everyone know that Jack would be a great Mayor for their town. Jack is such a relaxed and open guy. I love his take on solving the town’s issue. No one would have ever thought to make a backwards Christmas. The idea was fresh and gave the town hope. Their relationship felt like it was on borrowed time. The story was always in movement. It felt like there was always something happening. It was suspenseful and action filled. The story was far from predictable. I don’t know where to focus because so much happened. Aiden is a really strong character he feels with his whole heart. He doesn’t just state pretty words. I liked that the author gave him a voice and didn’t just focus on Laurie’s POV. I like the direction this story took at first but by like close to the end I was getting upset. I was not expecting what happened to happen. I was in shock. I was literally on the edge of my bed like OMG! This series has got something good going. Man this book was perfect. Frank was a typical guy to me with a very nonchalant personality. But inside he was a big softie. I really enjoyed the authors sense of humor. Mikey and Frank were so perfect for each other. They have what I use to have with my ex. Their relationship was fun and easy. Don’t get me wrong there were moments that it was rocky. But they made it work and that is all that matters. Mikey had a unique personality. Most women are not so blunt and open as she is. She was so comfortable and confident with who she is that she wasn’t too afraid to let Frank in. Frank on the other hand was level 10 clingy which surprised me because it didn’t fit his personality that he portrayed. Overall I couldn’t get enough of this couple. They were funny and loving but they also learned and grew with each other. I will definitely be reading more from this author if she infuses the same lightness and joy in all her books.

I truly don’t know how to feel about Elizabeth. She is so indecisive about everything. Her relationship with Marin, Finn and her father is all a mess. She is constantly pushing Marin away. Granted I wouldn’t know how to feel living in her shoes. But I wouldn’t be holding secrets from someone I claim to love. The story was entertaining in some parts. Others parts just contained what I like to call filler words. I really have enjoyed this series so far and am ready for the next part. I need to know how everything falls into place. Beta is a hot mess and it’s going to take a while to fix all her issues. It’s so sad that she lives off her hate and need to kill Xade. That type of blindness is what stops you from seeing what else is happening around you. The author has done a really good job developing these characters and has made them very complex. They are just like you and me. They experience 50 million emotions in one day.

What an interesting character name Denim. This was just a short read so we could get a feel of who Denim was. I really like this character. He is a crime boss’s son but he has such a giving and caring soul. He dies what he can for people. You can really tell that he cared for those around him. I don’t know what it is about bad boys that women fall for. We know they’re no good but we just can’t resist them. I feel like Denim is going to be that character that will stay with me for life. We all have book boyfriends and Denim is shaping up to be a good one. He is someone that I wouldn’t want to anger though. The relationship with his brother is so strained.
