I got a little hot while reading this story. Nothing like watching a man dance like he knows how to handle business. J and Kai have know on each other for years. Until J just broke Kai’s heart. You know it’s usually the guy doing the heart breaking so it was nice seeing it from the guys POV. I found that Kai was more forgiving and loving than any woman would be over a break up. J was really stubborn and afraid for the wrong reason. She had major trust issues. The author gave us something to laugh, cry and rejoice about in this story. Every chapter flowed together really well. The characters were put together and understandable. I enjoyed this story mostly because of the performances and the End part.

BAD THINGS HAPPEN A gripping psychological thriller by Rowena Holloway

Bad Things Happen sounded like a new movie hitting theaters. Charlotte is looking for the story that will make or break her career. That story just happens to figure some dangerous players. This story was so thrilling. I couldn’t get enough of how well the author wrote this story. Joey is on the run but time seems to be catching up to him. So many secrets and lies. The characters had grown with the story and the author gave us a thrilling ride.

Dahlia was a warrior, a dragon that put fear into you with just her name. Until she is branded a traitor. Emotions are a foreign thing to Dahlia. The story was intriguing and violent. The thought of what could be other worlds next to us is kind of creepy. I liked that the author made her female lead so strong I just didn’t like how she kept pushing people away. There wasn’t very much character development but Dahlia did grow with every loss. I definitely liked the story for its details. The way the author described the dragons was scary and beautiful. It also was nice not to have so much focused on the main characters love life. Though I wish that the relationship with other characters was better developed. Also the reason for the deaths was just meh is wasn’t what I thought it would be.

A fun and magical read. Amy is working her way up in her chosen career and runs into a brat. She meets an amazing guy and thinks get crazy. I liked the story because it could really be anyone’s life. The authors writing style was a little choppy but it all worked out in the end. I dislike women who can only beat down other woman because they lack something themselves. We definitely need to start celebrating together instead of hating on each other. The story was cheesy and cute. I really liked the Christmas vibe and the thought that you can be happy alone. Even when you love someone you don’t have to always be with them.

I never had to question what I was reading. I usually stay away from booms like this but this author draws me in every time. Every character was well written and played their parts really well. I’m in shock over how it all ended. I’ve always wanted to live in a small town but the more I read these stories I change my mind. The author has gotten the creepy factor down. The mystery of it all is well played. You will definitely be sitting with your mouth open over how the author wraps this story up.

We Tell lies to for the most part because we don’t see a way around the situation. Or we tell lies to make our live seem better. Natalie doesn’t really know what she wants but she knew what lies to tell to get out of what she didn’t. I don’t know if I could ever be friends with the woman who ruined my marriage . Yes you can move on with your life. But to actually have conversations, dinners and outings nope. I was super sad about Collins but Jack made up for it. The story was well written. The author made the characters more flawed and believable. I wasn’t a big fan of Natalie but she kinda grew on me.

Written in the Stars is a well written love story. It is about finding and loving yourself no matter your flaws. Winter keeps to herself not because she is shy but because she sees and feels with her all. I loved her character she gave off a ice queen vibe but that wasn’t who she truly was. She was sweet and loving. At first look she seems timid and rude but as the story develops she grows. Eagle has seen and done so much and it has left him physically and emotionally scared. I really enjoyed these two characters journey. The author has a great thing going and I can’t wait for the next book. These sister’s are hardcore and loving. The men in their lives are loyal and HOT!

What a scary situation Harlie was caught in. To be so young and alone. With no one to guide you or protect you. Harlie is very brave to have escaped he past. The story was sweet and fun but also a little dark. I feel like Destiny puts us where we need to be and anything that comes along is meant to be. That our fate is affected by the choices we make. Clay is the perfect blend of a man. He has all the qualities and looks that most women crave. I’m a suck a for a southern drawl. Clay was down to earth and just wow. I think that him and Harlie go together perfectly. The author did a great job writing this story. It was presented perfectly and not rushed. The characters develop well and you see them grow throughout the story.

The Yates weren’t too crazy. But Callie had a few loose. She ran herself thin just to care for the people around her. Just like being a mom you take on so much and don’t let anyone in to help. Callie has taken care of everyone for years. When do you start remembering that your not alone in life. It takes a lot of courage and love to do what Callie did. The author wrote this story to compel us to think outside the normal and to learn that happiness just needs a little faith.

That lady was a total witch. I understand wanting to protect your family but she was obsessed and extremely possessive. Victoria needs nerves of steel and an abundance of patience. This story had all the fears women thing about come to life. We all fear disappointment and never being enough. I didn’t like Brad a whole lot. He didn’t show any willingness to put a stop to his mom’s craziness. The author presented this story very well. The author included an softness and warmth but placing Victoria in a position where she had to care for a child that was not her own. A good read for some laughter and crazy.

Heart of A Hunk is an anthology put together by some amazing authors. I enjoyed almost every story. I like how you get to sample an authors work. From an anthology you can find new authors to enjoy. These books were well written and the authors presented something different. Not any story was the same. The men and women represented a rang of characteristics and emotional strengths and weaknesses. I also like the thought of reading shorter chapters and short stories. You get just the right amount of romance and not the lengthy filler pages. The story that stood out the most was Foxxy Christmas by Allyson R Abbott. It was full of sass and realness. I also liked A Demon’s Gift by Jocelyn Dex. I found that story to be entertaining and creative. All the stories had many good points and I will be checking out more of these authors works.

The author made the characters believable and relatable. Griffin was at first a really good character but once his flaws popped out I was like nope. But then he lets his feelings show and I liked him again. Alice was too wishie washy for me. I couldn’t take her serious for most of the book. I connected with the characters of this book on so many levels. The author truly knew how to draw the emotions out of each character. There was some great wisdom being shared through the pages. Laney is a tough woman and Lord she loves lists. West is more than he seems. You really need a shot to drink after reading this. It just takes you to this place that you just have to feel. I am one of those people who hides from emotions and I would rather hold it in and forget about it. Crying always seems like a waste. The emotional indifference was a way to protect against all pain. I really enjoyed this story. It was a little long but you get a lot of details and follow Laney on her journey to love and acceptance.

This story was cute and a little naughty. Jake is a jerk but a truthful jerk. He isn’t out here leading women on. He is just real and maybe too honest. His dislike for germ infested little people is accurate and understandable. Lol! I thought Sam was a little unbelievable as a character. No one does what she did and confidently might I add. Over all the book had me laughing and it turned out to be really sweet. Jake learned a lot and it brought him closer to his family. The story was perfectly balanced with laughter, love, naughty moments and family. You felt the lightness with which the author wanted the story portrayed.

The Progeny Assassin was n interesting read. The author wrote about Lara finding her true potential. The lies and betrayal felt from many characters. I didn’t enjoy the length of the story. It was a lot to read. With that being said I was intrigued by the main character and how her mind worked. It was pure instincts and a little logic. The characters were well developed. There was too much dialogue in every chapter. It was information overload. I did like the direction the author took there wasn’t some great love to make her see the right path. He is a great blend of bad boy, sweet and protective. The way he caters to the people close to him even with all the pain of his past. Madison doesn’t get much approval from me until after the Graham situation. I didn’t like what she did. There is so much about this book that makes me happy. The author gave these characters life. The author made sure that each character had depth and a complete background. I felt like I was walking next to the characters and living life with them. Everything was easy to visualize and steady to read. I felt like this could be read as a stand-alone but I recommend reading the other book just because it’s good.

The characters were very refreshing. Sam and Ethan had a very unique chemistry and history. To grow feelings for someone who you have never met face to face bit have shared so much of yourself with. The other books were just as good. Bryce and Michelle were an interesting couple and I loved how open Bryce was. Emma and Colin had me giggling a little. I am not a fan of Kyle’s. I’m not sure how Juniper put up with him. There were some parts that set this book apart from others. The characters were well written and showed a rang of emotions. I understood why Kyle was so lost. I didn’t really see why Juniper put herself through all the craziness. This is my first book by this author and it didn’t disappoint. I did think some of the chapters were a little long and maybe unnecessary but it worked in the end. I probably would’ve handled the situation differently than Juniper. I believe in second chances but not at the cost of my happiness. I believe in following your instincts but not at the cost of your morals. This is a collection of books about men and women who have put themselves on the front line so to speak. They give even when they have very little for themselves. I have read plenty of books were the male is lead. But this is a teenage boy. There thought process is so weird and dangerous. They bond over the craziest moments. Jackson was low key nerdy. He was also adorable. I felt he learned and grew a lot throughout the story. Everyone that came and left his life had a purpose in being there. Theo was a jerk at first he was real and didn’t lead females on but man he was a douche. I’ve never felt survivors guilt or the pain of losing a parent. From the authors words alone I felt their pain. This story was well written. The characters were developed greatly and were relatable. I happen to prefer older men so I understand Eden’s attraction to Theo. I think the author balanced the light moment and the sadder moments really well. This story is definitely worth the time it took to read.
