Little Do You Know (Bayou Devils MC 5)Little Do You Know by A.M. Myers
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Little Do You Know (Bayou Devils MC Book 5) by A.M. Myers is a superb romantic suspense in this MC series. This story drove high emotional shifts throughout the story, along with touching on various topics that are sometimes difficult to incorporate into a story without it being too harsh and difficult to the reader. A.M. Myers continues to showcase fabulous writing techniques, incredible story lines, and dynamic characters. In Little Do You Know, Noah hasn’t always made the best choices and its impacted his life, along with where he wanted to be. Kady is his forever and that’s all he wants when his life is back in his own hands. Noah’s character was strong, determined and admirable in his pursuit and direction throughout this story. I felt his pain, his struggles and his triumphs – these emotions fell seamlessly from the pages. By the time I finished this story, I was heartbroken, relieved, distraught, and in love. A.M. Myers has delivered and was beyond amazing.

WTF, God?: Understanding God in the Midst of Transition, by Michelle N. Onuorah, was a refreshing read in regards to God and his plans for you. This story is the author’s accounting of her life and how faith/prayer impacted her life. She had a plan, yet life never works 100% as you plan, which she showcases. I found the story inspiring and very forthright – any time an author takes lessons they’ve learned upon their individual journeys and include those influences both good and bad, that deviated them onto specific paths. The author is candid and doesn’t hold back within the story. Beautifully written and it touched me personally.

Betty Shreffler’s Claimed Royalty is the first book in the Crowned and Claimed series. The theme of this story is unique and the author has tackled this in a creative and thrilling way. Fiora, who is the Princess of this story, is torn between duty to her country and following her heart. Reading how this unfolds, I enjoyed the story more by each chapter. Life certainly isn’t easy when tough choices have to be made, including choosing between multiple suitors. Then there is Matheas, Fiora’s bodyguard, who stands out on his own within this story. There is drama, steaming chemistry, suspense and danger throughout this first book of the series which keeps the reader fully engaged. His First Lady, by Avery Scott, is a billionaire romance with a military undertone. On tap are one speechwriter and a presidential candidate; Kendall and Michael seem like oil and vinegar, but there is something deeper that works for these characters with more in common than anticipated. However, as the story unfolds, the author leads the reader on a journey – along with the characters. The interactions between the main and supporting characters was entertaining, and a times a little light. However, I felt the author did a remarkable job creating a story that was enticing with realistic characters and situations as the story continues on. I liked the characters in their portrayal and the pace of the story. Kimberly Packard’s Vortex was a fully charged read. This story is more than just tornadoes and relationships – it involves self discovery, faces challenges and forging forward into the unknown. This story fully engulfed my imagination within the first several chapters. The story is set in the mid-west during tornado season, but the twisting destruction of the tornado is not the only twister related shifts that occur within the story. Kimberly Packard did an amazing job in tying the natural weather phenomena in the story to give additional depth into the story. This is one of those stories I would absolutely read again due to how well written it was. Beautiful in its destruction and dynamic in its re-building. Wow!

Tales of the Dragonfly Book III: Extended Flight, by Tamara Ferguson, is a romantic suspense with a military theme. The story is told from alternating character views, which adds additional depth to it. The main characters of the story are Aaron and Kiley, but there are several supporting characters that carry over from other stories. The sequencing in the story was well paced and I found the dialogue intriguing. It feels like so many pieces at times that are at play in this story, but the way the author brings all the pieces together to combine in this book are fascinating and perfectly tuned together.
