The History of the Universe: As My Soul and I RememberThe History of the Universe: As My Soul and I Remember by Stuart Ledwith
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The History of the Universe by Stuart Ledwith a mystifying five-star read. This popped up on my feed after a friend read it, and I have read the author previously so even though I don’t normally read any novels about religion I decided to give it a go as I enjoyed the concept and the thought provoking aspect as I always like to learn and discover new things, and I really do feel that I did that with this one. It may not be your typical read, but if you are after a change of pace, maybe a palate cleanser book, pick this up and expand your mind, its given me thought especially right now and that was something I was missing at the moment. The authors style is well put together and you can tell that they have checked the pace and flow of the story, there isn’t the issues I normally find with this type of story. Overall definitely one I will be recommending to many.

The History of the Universe: As My Soul and I Remember by Stuart Ledwith is an interesting and intriguing read that gives the reader plenty to think about and ponder. It looks at religion, spiritually and faith. It invites the reader to take a look at ourselves and our beliefs, where we fit in within the universe and our own philosophies as Ledwith has done. It is an original and thought-provoking story that I am sure many will enjoy.

Shattered Snow (The Mirror Chronicles Book 1) by Rachel Huffmire,is a retelling of the Snow White Tale. I am a fan of fairy tales and I love Snow White. I’ve read and watched movies of the remade tale and loved all of them. This one was no exception. You think you know where you are in the story and its going along very nicely and then it goes horribly wrong. At one-point I was nearly biting my nails because everything that could go wrong, did. This was a great story and I’m so glad I spent time with it. You will too.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Queens Dog by N.L. Holmes is the third boo in the Empire at Twilight series. This book can be read as a standalone although the whole series is worth the read. This book is exactly what I have come to expect from not only this series but this author. It was a detailed and well thought out story that really draws you in to what is happening. It is so easy to imagine everything the author is describing it really does feel like you are there with the characters.
I like how the authors interest in the historical side of these books clearly comes through. For me it makes the whole book a bit more interesting to read as you can really feel the intensity about it. This story really did have a bit of everything and I couldn’t hep but sympathise with the character the position he found himself in. This is a great book and I would definitely recommend it.

Time travel!?! Yes please! This book is a great adventure! So fun. At first this story was a little hard to follow with the new characters and the time travel. But it soon became apparent who was who and how they all related to each other.

Huffmire creates a world with colorful characters. My favorites being Bianka, Ammond and Baigh! Fun names with different attitudes, personalities and beliefs. I really loved the slight twist on a certain fairy tale, super cute.

This story is definitely worth a chance. I look forward to reading the next in the series especially since there was such a great and questioning ending!

This is my first book by this author which I enjoyed reading. This is not my typical type of book but nonetheless I enjoyed it from beginning to end. I found this book to be entertaining and interesting. This is a well developed story that is engaging and easy to read. There are parts I got a little lost but was able to pick it back up after a few pages. This is a story about a human and their personal struggles with their soul. This is a story of prophecy, history and the power of the universe. It was a great book which I highly recommend.

This is my first book by this author and I look forward to reading more from her. I enjoyed this book as it is full of fantasy and time travel. This is a well written story that has details that make the story come to life. I had no issues connecting with the characters as they kept me turning pages to the end. This is an engaging, fast paced story that pulled me in right from the first chapter. Keltson uses his looking glass to rescue people who he feels needs happier endings. When he sees Margaretha bite into a poisonous apple he decides to play with fate and give her a choice. This is where the story takes on a fantasy much like a childhood tale. Will Keltson lose all the work he has done to change people’s fate? What will happen with history and fate? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens to Margaretha, Keltson and his assistant. They made great, believable characters that took me through various emotions about them. They made the story engaging and easy to read. This was a great afternoon story that I am glad I picked up.

It also tells about new information on those who were involved in the formation of the universe and their thoughts. The author does a wonderful job of making the story come alive and you can feel the author’s enthusiasm in sharing the information that is contained in the book. Don’t miss out on a story that will have you hooked from the beginning. I would recommend reading this book.

The Queen’s Dog (Empire at Twilight Book 3) by N.L. Holmes is an historical crime story and one that grabs your attention. NL’s writing shows she is passionate about history and is able to weave it together and give us an exciting read. This story had the pages turning and NL does a great job of setting the scene with being her descriptive and vivid writing. One mans belief in loving the right woman is sorely misplaced and leads to regret.

It is an engaging story that has characters that bring the story to life. The details in this story made it entertaining and made me feel as if I was right there with the characters. This is a story about Ugarit and the betrayal of love his mistress, the queen, has made him feel. He was sent to spy on her when he learns of this betrayal. Now she is faced with execution. Will he save her? I enjoyed Ugarit’s character. I felt bad for him at times but he is determined and strong. He really made the story for me. I highly recommend this story and this author.

I loved reading the book Shattered Snow (The Mirror Chronicles Book 1) by Rachel Huffmire. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved the idea of time travel, the storyline, and the characters. Keltson Grammar is someone who wants to help those who have unhappy endings to their lives. What will happen when his latest assistant decides that she wants to take another path? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. Each character that is introduced has a part to play in the book. Some have good motives and others who are only looking out for themselves. It is interesting to read about how easy it is to alter a timeline. The characters at times feel conflicted as well as driven by their emotions to take action. The author does a wonderful job of making both the story and the characters come to life. Don’t miss out on an exciting and entertaining book. I highly recommend reading it.

Rachel Huffmire grew up in the middle of a Utah wheat field where she found plenty of time to read and dream. Her mom paid her a dollar per classic novel she read so, in a quest to amass a small fortune, Rachel read over 200 classic novels in elementary school.

After dabbling with writing novels and stage plays, she ran to the BYU bookstore for her first job. Behind the register, she watched local authors hold book signings and began dreaming up plots of her own.

She currently lives in Southern California where she enjoys sand at its finest: the beach and the desert. She enjoys playing board games with her two little boys, snuggling her baby girl, and reading bedtime stories to her husband every night.

The human me came into existence at the end of the seventieth week of Daniel the prophet in the old testament. My soul had lived here in many human lifetimes before choosing to live with me. I have written this book to honor my soul Edouard, his eternal family and the founders of this universe.

Dr. Stu has always enjoyed spending time and conversing with souls desiring to make themselves known to him. He finds it quite normal to converse with them as he would a human. When writing with them he writes what they say verbatum or as close as possible to the desired meaning, he describes pictures they present and the emotions displayed. In his last book he wrote for the soul of Sarah Tarbell, a distant cousin of his describing the harrowing tale of her abduction at age fourteen and her growth to adulthood in a very different world. This is a short story. One of those quick reads, to fill in that few moments you have to spare. Two young adults have one spot they both want. An old rundown mansion. Both of their reasons are valid, one has money and one does not. Will Griff and Casey come to an agreement? You will need to read this story and the others written by many authors.

This Anthology has many great stories and just as many great authors. The one thing I will take from Feisty Lawyers is the many new authors. I can add to my list of Must Read Books. Job well done Maggie Adams!

It was in April 1898 when I, Claire O’Farrell, made a decision that ultimately changed my life forever.
I had never been one to follow society’s “rules”. My oldest friend was a Creole at a time when that simply wasn’t done. Then, I made an even bolder decision by serving as a nurse for the Buffalo Soldiers during the Spanish-American War. By doing so, it was evident to all that I held little regard for the Jim Crow laws.
My choice of working in that camp hospital put me in immediate danger, but after I gave my heart to one of the soldiers there, I found myself caught in the racial violence besieging the area.
When the consequences of my past decisions followed me home, I had no choice but to cling to my faith and pray that I find the path I was meant to travel.
