Wow! I know that isn’t the greatest of words really to express, so often overused, but really this book just makes you go wow! At least for me it did. I adore India Kells and don’t ever usually even bother reading the blurbs for her books, I just one-click, and this was no exception. I saw it was new and a short read and had a night away to myself! Oh my India, I could have had six more of these!! I read this book in one complete sitting, I refilled my bath over and over till it was done lol. Every single moment was breathtaking. From the emotional and almost spiritual journey we find the characters taking to the wild, steam and erotic bdsm world we venture through with them as well, you are literally drowning in the feelings and words as they drip off the pages, or screens of your kindles. India brings to life with her vibrant storytelling and detailed scenes, Lani and Sam in a way that you will feel as if they were a part of your life all along when you finish the book. I can’t wait to find out what will come next from the ever talented India Kells!

This is a quick and fantastic tale that held my attention from beginning to end. It is right to the point, no unnecessary filler and yet filled with feelings and emotions. The open door sex is extremely detailed and visual. I will admit that I skimmed a bit through it, but if it earmarked if needed in the future 😉
I’ve read this author’s “Sanctuary” series in the past and this is a very different genre. I enjoy her writing and the way she tells a story.
For a short story, THE INHERITANCE is full and satisfying. I absolutely recommend if you enjoy a good, sexy, one handed story.

The Inheritance, by India Kells, is the story of an unlikely submissive. This steamy and alluring story sweeps the reader through the chapters following Lani in a series of unplanned events that unravel in front of her. The story was captivating and was an instant page turner. The scenes were descriptive and the imagery was above par. Despite this being a shorter story, it was thorough and an amazing read. I absolutely would love to read more about Lani and Max’s characters as I felt they were magnetic and this story just wasn’t enough for them.

The Inheritance: The Story of an Unlikely Submissive by India Kells is a quick but seductive BDSM read. As usual this story packs a punch, which is what you expect from this author. OMG, I loved this unique and original story. It is well a written, erotic and hot, hot hot read but it is also a bit of an emotional read. India has done such an awesome job with this story that you could literally feel the emotions dripping off the page. The guilt, pain and suffering were at times suffocating. The longing, vulnerability and heartache was all consuming. But the guilty pleasure and connections where breathtaking. I loved everything about this story and the characters and it was one journey I didn’t want to be over, as I fell in love with these characters. I love the complexities that Inda weaves so well that make her stories stand out.
Lani is a struggling artist and one phone call changes her life all together. What follows is the most sizzling and erotic yet heartbreaking time of her life.

Lani is an artist on the verge of losing her apartment, etc. She needs a little bit more money to finally get her dream. Things aren’t looking really great until she gets a call, its a call that will change everything for her.
Her uncle that she hasn’t seen in 5 years has put her in his will. She is to inherit a lot of money but she has to go to her uncle’s friend Sam to complete some tasks that only he can help her with. She finds out very quickly just what Sam is and she finds herself very attracted to him.
Deep glacier blue eyes, dark hair sprinkled with light gray, as was his short beard, he was a wet dream in the flesh.
Things get more interesting as the tasks are completed. We get some hot and heavy moments. And we discover there’s more to Sam than originally thought. I was pulled right in by India Kells writing. Once you start, you will be done before you know it. I highly recommend this read, you will really enjoy it.

The Inheritance was an amazing story – it might have only been a short read but I was hooked from beginning to end! I have read a few books by this author now and I love her writing style. Her books are well written and engaging. Max and Lani were amazing characters; I fell under their spell straight away! The chemistry and sexual tension between them was hot! Max was everything I love in a hot, older dominant – I am definitely in love with him!! Lani was a great heroin, not the naive one I expected either which was great! This is one of those books that you wish you could go back and start all over again! I would have loved it to be longer, just because I couldn’t get enough of these two!! This was a fantastic 5 star read that I highly recommend!! I can’t wait for more from this author again in the future – she is definitely one of my favourites!!

The Inheritance: The Story of an Unlikely Submissive is a riveting five star read by India Kells. OMG!! This Book was fantastic! Ms. Kells is one of my favourite authors, so when I saw this book, I didn’t even have to think about it, and just ‘one-click’- I didn’t even bother reading the blurb- so to say this book surprised me is a bit of an understatement! It wasn’t what I had been expecting- it was so much MORE! This is such an original, fun, emotive, sexy and seductive story. It’s wonderfully written- quite erotic, with sizzlingly HOT encounters, drama, pleasure, pain, grief, guilt, some BDSM, strength, vulnerability, healing, finding ones self, heartache, intrigue, romance, and ART. I devoured it in under an hour, loving every minute and not wanting it to ever end. These wonderful, endearing characters really brought this story to life and made it entirely memorable. What lengths will struggling artist, Lani, go to in order to fulfil her Uncles final request- and ‘earn’ her inheritance? Add to the mix, a very sexy reclusive billionaire, 6 very specific ‘tasks’- and this story really starts to sizzle!!! This might be a short story, but it certainly isn’t lacking in content, packing quite a lot into a small space. The one thing I have learned about Ms. Kells’ stories, and I have said this before- but, things are never simple, there are always layers and complexities that are revealed. I really don’t want to say too much, and give anything away, but, you really should read this incredible story for yourself- you really won’t be disappointed!! Highly recommended reading!!

This is my 4th or 5th book by this author and I just can’t say enough about how much I absolutely love everything she writes. Every story has me hooked and this one was no different. I was shocked because this did not turn out to be like I thought it would. I was actually a bit hesitant after reading the synopsis but reading it was a given because of this author.
I was so pleasantly surprised. This was awesome and the beginning had me wrapped and it never let go. I fell in love with Lani and Max even more once the story got going. It was Max that worried me but I should have known this author would take great care in her characters and make them real and somewhat broken.
I loved the ending and am completely satisfied with this whole story. I can not wait for another book by this author. Just love her!!

I loved this book! This is a short story that I read in one sitting, I couldn’t put it down until the end. This is a story about Lanier. She finds out that she has an inheritance from her uncle. But the problem comes when her uncle put conditions on before she can receive it. Max has been tasked with helping her complete the tasks. Their chemistry is over the top. She had no idea that she was missing something in her life until she meets him. Their story is a must read!

It is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning and didn’t let go until I had read the ending page. I enjoyed reading about the characters of Lani and Max. Lani is a woman who needs help in order to be able to concentrate on being a successful artist. She is beautiful, passionate about her work, and stubborn. She sees a chance to pursue her dreams when her uncle, after passing away, gives her tasks that if accomplished will leave her with a substantial sum of money. Max is a man who is reluctant to help Lani. He is one that is handsome and demands discipline/control. He is also a man that is haunted. Will he help Lani? Lani will be compelled to submit in order to get her inheritance. Will she be able to complete and accomplish the tasks required? Will she finally realize her dream? Read this book to find out. This story is steamy and emotional. My emotions went up and down with the characters. You can feel the boundaries being pushed by both of them. What will they learn about forgiveness? This story has dirty talking and intense dialogue. While it is not a long story it is one that has powerful and raw emotions. It is a book I would recommend reading.

The Debt Collector by India Kells was my first book by this author and Holy Hottness are the first words that come to mind to describe this book. If you’re looking for a fast-paced book that has equal parts of mystery and steamy dirty bedroom scenes then this is your book. Tessa an ER Doctor gets mixed up in a sex slave ring while helping a girl out of a bad situation. Locke is a man who is trying to take down the ring one girl at a time until Tessa might be the only one to help out.
Tessa and Locke have some chemistry just between them but when they add a sexy underground fighter who just happens to be Locke’s best friend and side lover; things start to get real for Locke. Locke is a man that is hard to love thru out this book, but you slowly warm up to him by the end. I’m begging that India will write a book just for Gage, I want more of the sexy fighter.

Tessa is a doctor, who helps young girls that come into the er get out of a sex trafficking ring, but the guy who owns the girls kidnaps her to get repayment for the girls. Locke, The Debt Collector, buys her and the actions starts there. This book held my attention from beginning to end. This is not the first book I have read by Ms. Kells, butit is my new favorite. If you are looking for a hot romance, this book is definitely for you. I highly recommend this book.

The Debt Collector is An Underground Bad Boy Romance by India Kells is such an unexpected surprise story, it was awesome. I really like reading India’s stories, they are wonderfully written and this one is no different. There is lots of drama and danger, heartache and intrigue, suspense and pain, demons to be slain and pleasure and romance and boy oh boy does it sizzle. So much so that a cold shower will be on the agenda. I was so devoted to India’s written word that the world flew by as I became a part of the story and walked hand in hand with them. I devoured page after page and before I knew it, it was over and a couple of hours were behind me. These beautiful and complex characters are hopelessly flawed and and made my heart ache and felt their pain down to my soul.
I can’t wait to see what India comes up with for the rest of the series!

This was a fantastic read! I loved the characters, after Locke grew on me, but you’ll understand what i mean when you read it. Tessa is helping those she can while on shift as a Dr. in the emergency room. But when one she helps gets her into trouble , she’s thrown for a loop as to who saves her. But no good deed is ever really free is it? I cant wait to see if this gets more books as I need to know about not just Tessa and Locke, but others in this book as well. I was not ready for this to be over.

The Debt Collector: An Underground Bad Boys Romance by India Kells hooked me from the very beginning and didn’t let go.
Dr. Tessa Freeman was fully expecting it to be a normal night at the ER but she was so wrong. Just one small moment ripples into something so much bigger and you have no idea what that moment means until much later.
Locke is mysterious and brooding and has to have everything in its place. But I think there is something in him that’s a lot deeper that we only caught a glimpse of.
Have my fingers crossed that this is just the beginning of a series, I want to see more of Tessa and Locke but also want to know more about Gage and his story.

I will admit that this isn’t my go to genre but I do like to try out new types of books. I have to admit that I did find this book quite enjoyable. The author does a great job with handling the subject matter within the book. I found that I was quite drawn into this book as the drama unfolded in it.
The emotions that Tessa went through and the drama I felt as though I was going through it vicariously through the character. I found that I started to route for Locke the more the book progressed. Sometimes the bad boy isn’t such a bad boy at all and they are the ones that save the damsel in distress. I really liked the author’s writing style and will definitely read more from her in the future.

The Debt Collector: An Underground Bad Boys Romance by India Kells is a breathtakingly erotic suspense that will literally leave you gasping for breath. I had to drag myself away to do really mundane tasks like bathroom breaks. Life got in the way, but it also slowed down the pleasurable experience somewhat, making way for the sensually slow and agonising burn.
Tessa and Locke. These two deserve many words, but very few come to mind to adequately describe the impact these two deliver. The story was brutally arousing, violent, shocking (in a bone melting way), decadent, honest, transparent while totally mysterious. The apparently unattainable becomes the hunted. The Locke and Tessa dance is intricate, complex and sometimes harrowing, but the experience is more than worth the tension. Then along comes Gage, and the surprises are relentlessly plentiful. I am addicted to this writing style and will devour any books written this way. It draws a reader in on a new level, and you will be left amazed, turned on and desperate for more. 5 stars

Holy hotness!! The Debt Collector by India Kells is a scorching hot read. The heat literally radiates off the page. I have previously read, and enjoyed, books by this author, so it was a no brainer that I was going to love this book too. Dr Tessa Freeman is an ER doctor who helps women who have fallen into the sex slave trade escape from their ‘owners’. As a result of this she is captured by the leader of the slave trade business. Locke is a sort of mercenary who is trying to bring the slave trade down by pretending to be part of it. The Debt Collector is an Underground Bad Boys Romance by India Kells. I have read many of her stories and I thought I was ready for what she had in store for us but heck no! She took this one onto a completely different level! The Debt Collector has so many layers, so much emotion, so much has been taken from the world around us … We have Dr Tessa Freeman who is not your average doctor, she is saving the girls who end up in her ER and have been escaping the slave ring … she does not think of her own life, it is her duty to help them and unfortunately no good deed goes unpunished … so she is taken to ‘work off the debt’ of the girls who are no longer there to ‘work’. She is saved by a mysterious Locke who she had treated when he came to the ER with some knife wounds … What does Locke want in return? How will he have her to ‘work off’ her debt to him? I promise you will not regret picking up the Debt Collector, you will spend couple of very enjoyable hours with Tessa and Locke and …. Cage … the third party in this triangle/menage a trois … not a dull moment! But is this just a story filled with steamy scenes or is there more than what you see on the surface? This book is sizzling hot! The sexual encounters in this story will set you on fire. The chemistry between Locke, Tessa and Gage is incredible. Tessa is a strong, independent woman who manages to get herself in serious trouble. Locke succeeds in saving her but Tessa is now indebted to him and he always collects his debts. Locke is a very complex character. He is very serious and closed off with a touch of OCD. There are reasons for the way that he is. Gage is a monster of a man. He’s a giant sized muscled machine who cage fights for fun. He’s rough and tough but we find out his soft spot. I loved all the characters. Each one was unique and they complimented each other. There was drama and some action and many heated moments. There are scenes that are explicit therefore I would suggest a mature audience but it is so worth it. I really enjoyed the book and am looking forward to reading more about these characters. Hoping the next book centres around Gage.

The Debt Collector was one part darkness, one part suspense, ten parts extreme heat! Yowza! I mean, you kind of could guess that from the cover. But basically, there’s Tessa, who gets herself in a sticky situation and has to work something out with Locke, who can be hard to read. Is he good? Can she trust him? Then there’s his friend. Oh and they are all so very friendly. I enjoyed this and appreciated how Tessa didn’t back down when it came to demanding to be treated well.

The Debt Collector was a great 5 star read and part of the Underground Bad Boys Romance.
Tessa is an Emergency room doctor who also helps girls that come in and are clearly involved in slavery. One evening she meets a mysterious man that she is completely drawn to, but she doesn’t learn his real name before he leaves.
Circumstances and fate bring these two back together again when Tessa is taken by the slave ring men. Locke is shocked to see the woman he met at the hospital. Determined to help her he makes a deal to buy her. Once he has Tessa safely in his home, he suggests a deal that will keep her safe.
Will Tessa be able to keep her heart out of it? What will happen if she discovers Locke’s secrets?
All I can say is WOW, what a heck of a read. The secondary characters were great, I have to say my favorite was Gage, Locke’s friend who is a hot as heck cage fighter. Tessa was a strong and determined woman who fights for what she believes in. If you’re looking for a great thrilling read with some hot and steamy moments, this is the book for you.

Ohhhhh India Kells this corrupted my mind so good! I absolutely had to one-click this novel like I do with just about every India Kells novels. This one was a tad more steamy than I am used to seeing from her and I loved it, every wanton moment. Now keeping in mind that I have mentioned this is a bit of a steamy read be smart and don’t pick it up if that isn’t your thing, although I do think you would be missing out on quite the read, especially if you are a fan of India Kells of novels.
There is a lot going on in this book, but it is done flawlessly and not too overwhelming, I was able to read it in one sitting. Tessa finds herself in a slave ring. Everyone’s worst nightmare. The man who saves her, Locke has a proposal, one that is something she would never have expected to find herself involved in either. Oh and then there is Locke’s best friend Gage. These three have some intricate personalities that work together a lot like poetry. Which for me is what makes a novel like this work so well. The Debt Collector is part of The Underground Bad Boys series. It can be read as a standalone. There is one part of the story involving Gage that is left open, probably to be explored further in another book.
I read this book in just a few hours because it kept me hooked so I couldn’t put it down. The interactions between Locke and Gage…wow…I thought my Kindle was going to catch fire, lol! Definitely not a book for anyone under the age of 18.
The author has done a wonderful job of creating complex characters with interesting personal histories. Although I was actually more entertained by the dynamic between Locke and Gage, the Tessa character definitely bridged between them well by adding a compassionate strength to offset their physical presence.
