Sessrúmnir is the fifth book in the Antipodes series. This is an exciting sci-fi series set in a dystopian future where most of humanity has been wiped out and the survivors have many new challenges to face. It’s worth reading the series in order, so begin with book one, Antipodes, if you haven’t already read it. This is an exciting page-turner, bringing the series to a great conclusion. Everyone’s been living with the new normal for a while, and starting to try and settle into a routine and look to the future. But things can so easily be disrupted, with Freyja finding it impossible to commit to something as simple as a date without her world being turned upside down. It was great to see more of the younger children in this book. I also liked that they addressed the psychological impact of events in the characters’ pasts – so often the characters need to be strong and focus on survival so it was powerful that there was space for this. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series, and watching the characters grow and develop across many years and books. I’d recommend it to all fans of dystopias and near-future speculative fiction. The worldbuilding satisfies a lot of “what-ifs” and the characters are fantastic!

This book was absolutely fantastic! The story arc, the background story in the beginning, character development, so many good things I can’t decide where to start first. I usually read female protagonists because they are more relatable for me, but wow reading about Ian and his struggles made me think of my own. This author absolutely hit it out of the park. Ian struggles with who he is and what his power does to him if he uses it. He makes a decision in which he thought was right at the time, but now is paying for it dearly. Will he come to accept his magic and what it does? Or will he fall into the addiction it brings and never look back again?

I really enjoyed this fast paced short book. The action kept my mind busy. In all it was a crazy book but that’s a good thing. Just when Teagan gets her life the way she wants it, her past uproots her till she has to continue working as her old job. I highly recommend this book.

Logan and Evka become fast friends when Logan volunteers at the raptor center. Mia is jealous of Evka’s new friendship and Evka has a secret admirer. When Logan finds Evka dead at the raptor center, it’s clear something sinister has taken place, but the local police are without leads so the trail starts to go cold. Logan takes matters into her own hands to find Evkas killer. Logan is a great character, at the beginning she appears to be quiet and in her own new world, but quickly develops into a loyal friend who only wants to find out what happened to Evka. Trust your instincts, the answers may be right in front of you.
This book was great! This whole world the author wrote has me pulled in and I didn’t want to come out. It was a Paranormal story about Dexter and his search for his family book. I really liked Dexter and I definitely felt for him because his life was awful at some points. His story was action filled and I am excited to read more in the series!! Happy Reading!

One of the things that I really enjoy about illustrated works is comparing the mental picture the words give me with the illustrations. While reading Azreya, Aztec Priestess I found myself looking for those depictions. The world building Ms. Copeland provides is top-tier, and the illustrations add to this reading experience. I think the passion the author has for legends behind the Aztec people is on display through this story. Azreya has a mark on her arm at birth that her people think signifies she is cursed. She goes to live with a respected spiritual leader, but will his intentions prove to be good? As Azreya learns more about the spirit inside of her, who she calls Tecuani, will her mission to save her people be successful? You have to read the story to find out!

Grave Digger Academy is the first book in the Grave Digger Academy series. I always enjoy books by this author and this one did not disappoint. Makayla did not get into the first three schools she applied for and is now at Grave Digger Academy. This is the bottom of the barrel of anyone’s choice of school. I really enjoy the character Makayla and look forward to seeing how she develops in this series. I also enjoyed the antagonist to her character. This book is a fun, quick read. I look forward to reading the other books in this series soon.

This is a sweet take on a romance that comes together despite seemingly impossible obstacles. There’s an element of fairy magic, but most of the story isn’t about fairies or magic, so that part was a bit confusing as to why it was included in the story at all; however, I’m guessing perhaps there’s more to that in future books. The fairy/magic element didn’t take away from the overall story, either, though, so it’ll be interesting to see that develop a bit more into the storyline. Despite that, it was beautifully written and the characters are easy to fall in love with or hate. Worth a read, for sure!

This book is an action packed trip to paradise. It does take a bit to build up the storyline but once it pulls you in you are hooked.
Nick and his wife decide to continue with their trip to Venice even though Nick was still healing from a serious head injury sustained during a hockey game. They make sure to see the sights of Venice including the Palazzo which contains the largest painting called paradise. This sets upon Nick and his wife a domino effect of past lives and a vicious secret society aimed at keeping the past where it belongs, in the past. Yet, for some reason a voice from the painting is calling out to Nick as a past lover and his current wife thinks he may have just gone off the deep end. Nick works diligently to get to the bottom of this mystery but in doing so is he putting his current marriage in the hot seat? Can Nick free the voice trapped in the painting that is calling out to him? Or is he destined for the same fate from the secret society that wishes to keep the past buried?
This author does a magnificent job of weaving the past Venice with the present in a tale of two time periods. I enjoyed the uniqueness of the storyline, the wonderful characters brought to life, and the chance to take a journey away from everyday life even for a moment or two. If you like mystery novels, with action, and a love triangle than you need to read this book. But be forewarned that once you pick it up you may not want to put it down!

This was a fascinating tale that brought to life some insights to a long lost people.

This is the 2nd book in the Houston After Dark series, while I have not read the first book I didn’t really feel like I was missing anything. Callie has had a crush on her brother’s best friend, Noah, for years. He only sees her that way, or so she thought. Noah is starting to realize he wants Callie even though he shouldn’t. Will he give into temptation or will he allow his past to dictate his future? I will most definitely be reading the rest of this series. This was a fast paced supernatural mystery read! I really love how you get the best of both worlds. You get the detective side with the fantasy! I love Ava’s character and all of friends that help her throughout the story. Its a race against time in most of the book so it will keep you turning pages to see what happens next. Callie Rose has had a crush on her brother’s best friend, Noah, for years. She decides to go to the sex club he frequents to see what happens, and sees more than she bargained for. Very soon after she is attacked heading into her dorm room, and her brother assigns Noah to guard her while they find the perpetrator. Noah tries not to give in to his desires for Callie, but quickly loses the battle with himself which leads to some spicy scenes!
I really liked Callie. She has had a rough life, raised by her brother, Grant, after both parents go to jail. She grew into a kind, but strong woman who takes no crap, and I loved seeing her stand up for herself and take what she wanted. Noah genuinely wants to do the right thing and struggles with what that is. I get why he didn’t want to tell Grant about what happened when he was in college, though I wish he had said something sooner.
Some of the things that happened with Erik and how some of the characters reacted to it didn’t fully make sense to me, but I was glad to see the resolution. Overall, this is a good book. It is the second in a series, but you do not have to read the first book to enjoy this book.

I love this author with all that exists within my soul! I love this series that they have created and brought to life. This one I found explained things I had wondered about, and everything tied together perfectly!
The book is an amazing read. If you want to enjoy a strong character development along with fantasy and action as well as paranormal, then this is a book not to be passed up! I must say start with the previous story in this series. I really loved getting Dexter’s story, his side of things, it was a fun imaginative read and it held me till I reached completion! I enjoyed Dexter, his character development on its own. Who he was in the past, is not who he is anymore in the present. I really valued his worth and how strong bis heart is and was. The book was gripping and full of intrigue! Loved it all the way through! Couldn’t put it down!
Love this author and all books that they create and bring to life. This was no different. Cant wait to read the next, as I know I am in for a treat as well! Highly recommend this must read book/series/author!

I loved this book when I read it for the first time. It felt like such a fresh and imaginative way to retell a classic tale. So when I saw the audio book version I just knew I had to give it a try, and it was definitely worth it! I felt like I become so much more involved and invested in the character and the story. I found myself getting lost in the narration and pulled into the familiar story once more.
I enjoyed the fact that it really does feel like a new way to reinvent Cinderella, a story that has been told time and again. The author has done a brilliant job of making the story their own and the audio book brings that to life. This is a great book to try today.

This book is so emotional and raw but such an amazing insight into a life that is genuinely incredible. The author has done an amazing job at creating a window into her world, giving her readers the chance to learn and experience so much about her. I have always enjoyed her works of fiction but this book is something special. I connected with it in a way I did not expect and it has stayed with me long after I have finished reading. Even if you read nothing else but her I would highly recommend this book.

This is not normally a book that I would read but it was great! Azreya is the warrior princess you didn’t know you needed. Join her on an adventure unlike any other. I love supernatural books and this is the first one from this author I have read and man I was not let down. I like how the author brings the characters to life. The chemistry really is flowing between the characters. I like how there is a big mix of drama and intrigue mixed in with action. The author does a good job of creating the world and drawing in the reader into it. I felt as though I was right there in the midst of the adventure as it ensued. I really cannot wait to read more from this author in the future.
Wicked Treasure (The Charm Collector Book 3) by Melissa Erin Jackson. I loved the 2nd book in this series so I was so excited about reading this one and I was not disappointed. Its the continuing story of Harlow and also the story of her best friend Kayda. Harlow is on the hunt for the magical sword, Caspian, to solve the mystery of the origins of the sentient sword. Kayda has been left behind to deal with Collective who is creating chaos. Kayda is not happy about this. Kayda and Harlow have always been friends, partners in crime in everything so when Kayda is ghosted by Harlow she is not happy at all and doesn’t understand. They both find themselves in dangerous situations during their quests. Will Harlow find the magic sword and will Kayda be able to hold the fort down without everything falling apart? A Love Restrained by Becky Flade. I really enjoyed this book. Romantic Suspense is one of my favorite genres so I was really excited this one was so good. Its the story of Kylee Parker and Jayson Donovan who grew up together in the same neighborhood and had mutual crushes on each other but they never told each other. Kylee has gone on to become a police officer to try to right all the wrongs unfortunately she arrests Jayson after she witnesses him in the middle of a drug deal. Kylee has to do her job so she does but she feels bad for Jayson and after seeing him realizes that she still has feelings for him. Kylee comes from a hard working family and she’s a strong, independent woman. Jayson comes from a broken home where alcohol was the main thing along with yelling and sadness. When he gets involved with a drug king he knows he has to change. Will Kaylee’s influence help him get on the right side of the law? Read A Love Restrained to find out!

What a good good story! I enjoyed the world and the characters this author created. I liked meeting Ava and her friends. The author did a good job of getting me to worry and wonder about each of them. Are they good or bad? What are their secretive powers? Will they all be able to survive?
I loved all the activity and action. It easily kept me interested and reading. My biggest and really only issue is the Spanish speaking without translation throughout the book. It frustrated me since I didn’t understand what was being said. So I usually just ended ip skipping them.

What a wonderful YA story. I Loved that this is a play off of Cinderella. The characters are lively and I could empathize with them because they are so realistic. I liked that Ashley worked in a mortuary and lives with evil stepmother. How different yet Intriguing. Harry I was prepared not to like but somehow the author made me change my mind. I ended up really enjoying his kindness and thought process.
The ending give an implication that there will be another story either more of these two or another couple. Either way I will check it out. The writing is easy to read and flows very nicely. This is filled with drama, cliques an surprises. I enjoyed every second.

In Plain Sight is Book 8 in the Logan McKenna Mystery Series. Logan is now married to her best friend Ben and has settled into a routine. She still plays her beloved violin, Bella, and her music career is blossoming. Life is good and Logan has time to do the things she enjoys like going for morning runs by her home on the Oregon coast. It is during these runs that she becomes fascinated with the beauty of the owls, hawks, and eagles she encounters along the way. Wanting to learn more about these majestic creatures she decides to volunteer at the Cascades Raptor Center.
Through her volunteer work at the Cascades Raptor Center Logan not only learns more about the owls, hawks, and eagles but all the work involved in caring for them after they have been rescued. She meets an amazing team of volunteers who have dedicated their lives to the care of these majestic creatures. She is now racing against time to solve the mystery before she becomes the killer’s next victim.
I found this book impossible to put down because I needed to find out who the killer was. This book had wonderful characters and was action packed throughout. I became immersed in the lives of Logan and her friends and fully invested in the mystery of her co-worker’s death. I found myself trying to guess at the killer’s identity based on the subtle cues the author gives throughout the book. Boy, was I surprised when the killer was not who I thought it was! The killer truly was hiding in plain sight all along! I highly recommend this book and am going to ensure that I read the rest of the books in the Logan McKenna Mystery Series. If they are half as good as this book, I know that I will not be disappointed!

This book kept me on the tip of my toes. Noah and Callie are so cute together, although Noah was a little frustrating because of his stubbornness. Callie Rose is a total baddie though, she was very brave and a good MC. The book was pretty entertaining and fast paced. A LOT of smut. A lot of GOOD smut. But it still has a plot, so it’s all around good

I really enjoyed this book. The premise of the blind date is one I have never come across before. Made the portion of the actual blind date extremely interesting. I couldn’t even imagine. Not too sure of how I would feel. Jake is talked into going on this blind date by his friends (the boys club). How it turns out is hysterical and you really feel for the guy.
Lauren is an PA for Cade. He’s a wonderful boss and doesn’t want to ever lose her. Things get tense and unnerving when the previous owner is a disrespectful and extremely rude man. Since Lauren is the first line defence, she gets the brunt of this disparaging man.
This book will have you swooning and tense and on your toes throughout.

This is the first book I’ve ever touched by this author…and I’m very upset with myself that it has taken me this long to discover this talent! This is one of those stories that, starting out, I wasn’t sure if it would grab me, but it sure did. I appreciate or don’t appreciate a book mostly based on how well the characters are written and how they come alive for me. This book has some great characters, not to mention a furry one that, for me, is the icing on the cake. The way this author makes a dog one of the most exciting characters is wonderful. I really enjoy a good-paced story with an interesting plot to keep my attention, and I wasn’t disappointed there, either. I will absolutely be looking into getting my hands on more books by this author because it is definitely worth the time.
