Ruth Mitchell is a new author to me. I could not have picked a better story to start reading her books. This is a YA science fiction story with a twist of mystery mixed in. The characters are complex and interesting. The plotline is engaging and I found myself turning the pages quickly to see what is coming next. We are introduced to Lucy. Lucy loves everything old. This is interesting since she is a mind-hacker. She did not realize that her sister was a mind-hacker. There is much more for Lucy to learn. Throughout this story, you follow Lucy. You learn what she can do. What will Lucy do now she knows she is a mind-hacker? Can Lucy find whom she is looking for to save lives so their lives are rewritten?

5 Star Golden Void (Black Blade Book 3) by Alexander Charalambides is a Young Adult Fantasy that has plenty of action, suspense that once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. This is the third book in the Black Blade series and I highly recommend reading the first two books if you haven’t already. Megan is newly adopted and is fixing to take on a new quest that involves murder and mystery. While on the quest she continues to ask herself who the real enemy is? Tyson is a bit cocky and has an attitude and megan is in control of watching over him.I found myself on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Curse of Seduction by CR Robertson is the first book in the Dark Princes of Purgatory series. The story is a great fantasy with witches, vampires, curses, and more. Ezekiel has been cursed by an evil Queen. The curse harms every woman he takes blood from. What will happen when Ezekiel meets Ilana? Ilana has always felt defective, but when she meets Ezekiel everything starts to change. I really enjoyed the story and the relationship that Ezekiel and Ilana form. There are challenges and passion between the two that develops. Can the two of them battle the curse before Ilana is changed forever? The writing leads a wonderful and interesting story with a good development of the characters. I look forward to seeing more in this series and reading more from this author.

Curse of Seduction (Dark Princes of Purgatory Book 1) by CR Robertson. This book was amazing. Once I started I didn’t want to put it down. Its the story of Ophelia Blood Queen who has cursed 4 Princes of Purgatory centuries ago in order to become the Queen of Purgatory, the Queen of all Realms. The only thing that can save them is a blood sacrifice. Ilana is a vampire of sorts meaning she can’t feed like normal vampires and the touch of a male causes her horrible pain. She has believed for 200 years that she is defective but when she runs into Ezekiel her witch powers awaken as they sense the presence of her mate. Finally its made clear why she has so much strength & abilities of a vampire but not be able to feed. Ezekiel was also cursed and every time he fees the Queen takes something away from his mate: a memory, a feeling, a huge part of their being that messes them up forever. When Ezekiel feels the urge to feed can Ilana stop the curse that will change her forever with no going back? This book is a fast paced thriller. Get ready to be sucked in!

I loved this book! This is a paranormal story that is full of action, suspense and even some romance. I was pulled into the story right from the beginning. It is an engaging story that had me turning pages to the end. The characters are creative, they range from witches to vampires to werewolves and a few more. I had no problems connecting with them. They are supportive of each other which made the story easy to read. Ilana has finally come into her witch powers only to have Ezekiel, a prince, find her in his army. A curse was put on four princes by the Blood Queen and Ezekiel is one of them. Can he be saved before his curse turns Ilana into a sex slave? I read this book in one sitting as it is that good. I highly recommend this book and this author

Feisty Heroines is a collection of thirty books, all with a strong female lead.
This review is for Good Bones by Maggie Adams.
Cassandra ‘Casey’ Sparks takes care of her mother’s legacy, a hospice home that’s set in an old crumbling mansion. The mansion has seen better days, and with a failed inspection under her belt Casey comes up with a plan to turn it into a bed and breakfast, she just needs the funds. Griffin is mourning the loss of his beloved grandfather and wants to pay tribute to his memory by opening a resort in the place where he spent his dying days. He knows he might have to play dirty to convince Casey to sell. This is a short sweet read and a great addition to the Feisty Heroines anthology. Casey is strong willed, smart and fights for what she believes in. She also has a heart of gold, and you really want her to get the happy ending she deserves.
Curse of Seduction by CR Robertson is the first book in the Dark Princes of Purgatory series. This is an extremely well written and exciting story that really had be hooked right from the start. Ilana and Ezekiel are brilliant characters. Their lives are so cleverly intertwined. You really get behind them. I had to find out if they would be able to break the curse. The author has done a great job of weaving a story that carries you effortlessly through to the end. It was original enough that it didn’t feel like many other books of this genre. The was well developed with the right scenes in all the right places. This was a great start to a new series and I can’t wait to read the next one.

Oh holy hotness! This book was a last minute read that I picked solely based on the explosive and sexy cover, and boy was I glad that I did! This one picked up with the drama, action, and more right from the get go. I could not put this down until I found out how this book was going to end. I am even more excited to find out this will be a series and something I get to delve back into time and again in the future, always a win-win situation.
This book has it all for the lovers of paranormal romance. So many different layers are woven throughout that make this book play like a movie in your mind as you read. Ophelia is the main female and really our protagonist to say the least. She has to be one of the best wicked women that I have read in a long while. She saves no mercy and this book is made because of it. I was a huge fan of Ezekiel and his whole story really plays well throughout. I won’t divulge much more of the storyline that is already given in the blurbs etc. because I can’t bear to ruin the story for anyone! It is definitely worth every moment of your time and a must read 5 star novel. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next novel in the series soon and see what else is available by CR Robertson soon!

This is a heartbreaking story about a young person suffering from mental illness. It was really well written that allowed you to really understand what it feels like to suffer from this illness and how it effects everyone’s lifes not just the person who has it.
Henry loves with his mum and his big brother Tyler. Tyler is struggling with mental health problems but his mum is so focused on being a good mum and providing for her two boys that she doesn’t see the signs or her sons struggles.
That is until their next door neighbour is attacked in her home. No ones knows who has done it but the two main suspects are Tyler and his friend Derek.
All evidence points to Tyler as the main suspect but his mother and Henry don’t believe it.
Was it Tyler who committed the horrible crime or was it Derek? Was Tyler in sound mind or was it voices pushing him forwards.

This book was a lot! Like prepare yourself to get lost for a few hours or more because you are not going to want to stop until you read that last page and find out how this book will come to a conclusion. I am new to Lisa Edmonds but the cover drew in my attention and I just had to know what this urban fantasy would hold. Alice is our main gal! She has a history in the dark that she wants to keep there in order to keep her safe. There are a lot of people who could use her memory and history to their advantage and not Alice’s. Alice also runs her own PI firm and has just taken on a case that will also test her and her magic skills. I love all the components of magic that are at play in this novel and I was always very entertained. I hope we will get many more of Alice and her adventures in the near future!

I was so excited to get my hands on this latest TL Clark novel. I absolutely have loved all of her other works and was really excited to see what this one would hold. This book not only met all my expectations but exceeded it for sure! This book is a post war dystopian with a hint of romance to keep things a bit light. I loved the main character, Aroha (who wouldn’t love that name, it is so beautiful!) and following her as she struggles to learn and adjust her thinking to save the world she lives in. We see her being put in a bunker with the impending doom of a meteor coming for earth. While they are there they are all given the diary of Dr. Rachel and through the readings they learn how to avoid the mistakes of the past. Will they learn fast enough and be able to salvage the world before it perishes? I am looking forward to seeing what else we will get from TL Clark, I will for sure be there for it with bells on!

Love Gaia: The Diary Directive By T.L Clarkis such a thought provoking and interesting story set in the post-apocalyptic future- where there are lessons to be learned to avoid the same fate. I love exploring Ms. Clark’s work, as she always brings something new and different to the table. This standalone story took me on a bit of a dystopian journey through devastation, survival, environmental issues, lessons to be learned, drama, emotion, mystery, action, and hope. As I would expect from Ms. Clark, this story is beautifully written and paints a picture of a believable future- with vividly descriptive scene setting and superb detailing. Ms. Clark’s world building is quite masterful. We meet Aroha and her classmates who live in a future dystopian society, their sheltered existence gets a shake-up with some shocking and harsh lessons. The hope being that they will learn from the past, so future generations won’t make the same mistakes which led to the devastation and changed the world forever. The lessons involve the journal entries made by Dr. Rachel, and her personal experiences in the events that occurred now help to shape the future. Intriguing reading!

Another Yesterday (Seashells and Second Chances Collection Book 2) by Angela Christina Archer
This is a wonderful read full of emotion. The storyline drew me in and pulled at my heartstrings throughout the entire story. We follow Maggie’s life, her struggles, heartbreaks, and triumphs, we also follow Rachel’s life, who is her daughter. There are lies, betrayal, second chances, heartwarming moments and more that will keep you turning pages. This author did an exceptional job writing a great story and characters that are relatable. I couldn’t help but become completely invested in the characters in this book. I highly recommend this book.

A Book Signing To Die For is a wonderful murder mystery novel by Judy Moore. Beck O’Rourke is a lover of mysteries, just like her mother. She owns a bookstore and coffee shop, Beach Reads, with her grandmother in Manatee Beach, Florida. Beck, her grandmother, and Beck’s little sister Lizzie live above the bookstore. Beck tries hard to make the bookstore a local hang out place, but her grandmother is stuck in her ways and is strictly business. With a bestselling mystery writer coming to do a book signing, Beck is super excited, until someone from the audience dies! Now Beck can use all her detective skills she gained from her mystery novels to try to catch the killer. She’s able to make a little head way but some people aren’t happy with her progress. This novel was entertaining, enthralling, and kept me on my toes. Just when I thought I knew who the killer was, I would be thrown a curveball. I highly recommend this mystery and look forward to reading other stories by this author.

The Matchmaker and The Marine: A Second Chance Small-Town Romance by Lucinda Race was a great 5 star read. I was pulled right in from the beginning.
Melinda is a matchmaker, after her tragic loss she has made it her goal to help others find “the one” and get their HEA. While at a wedding for a couple she helped connect, she meets Adam. There is something about him that gets her attention, she can tell he’s military from the way he carries himself.
Adam is an ex marine who has moved to the area to start over. When he meets Melinda he finds what she does for a living interesting. He lets her set him up on a few dates but the only real connection he feels is with her.
Will these two admit they have a connection and try a relationship? Can they get a second chance at love? Could a secret ruin everything?
Overall I really enjoyed this read. The author pulls you in with her writing. You could feel the attraction between these two coming off the pages. These two were meant for each other and I was happy to read about their journey to a second chance. I look forward to reading more from this author. 1-click and get started today.

Girl Trap (A Madeline Dawkins Mystery Book 3) by Cynthia Hamilton
The 3rd installment of Madeline Dawkins series! This book digs into human trafficking as Madeline (a PI in her own right) and her business partner and friend Mike are asked to help search for two missing sisters from Minnesota. What will Madeline and Mike find as the search intensifies?
One of the things I like best about the Madeline Dawkins series is how Madeline’s character keeps learning and changing. It’s so much more like real life, it make you connect with the characters better.

This is the second of The Servant of the Gods series, where the protagonist Evan, who is time travelled back in time has a mission to retrieve the second relic which is instrumental in wiping away the Greek Gods. It is about Evan’s journey to retrieve the relic with few of his companions and the high priestess. They encounter lot of dangers on their way and finally in the Labyrinth they have to face the fiercest of the beasts, the Minotaur. I had not the read the first book, but nevertheless, the second book gripped me right from the first page. I love Greek mythology and I enjoyed reading each and every page of this book. Many familiar characters and names pop up in different parts of the book, the Greek Gods (major and minor), the Greek heroes (Jason, Herakles), mythical creatures like Harpies, minotaur, priestesses and queens and also the Titans. It is very gripping novel and you can never even slip a page lest you miss a finer detail. It also moves back and forth in time, back to ancient Greece and forward to the 21st Century where Evan actually belongs. It is full of twists and turns. I enjoyed reading this book thoroughly. I am planning to read all the sequels. A great read !

Another Yesterday is the second book in Angela Christina Archer’s Seashells and Second Chances Collection. I have not read the first but as I fell in love with the way the writer tells her stories; I will go back and read the first one. In addition, I love the second chances stories that take place in small town New England so it really ticked some boxes for me! Another Yesterday tells us two stories; one that got its beginning in 1966 and the other one that comes to a stop in 1996. In 1966 Maggie arrives in a small town of Shadow Brook with her little baby girl Rachael. She does not know if she is staying or simply passing through and she ends up finding a home, a sanctuary in a form or a beautiful old inn. In 1996 Maggie’s no longer little girl Rachel has returned to Shadow Brook as well, after her own bout with heartache. Her mother is gone and finally, the secrets collide and it is time to face the past, more distant and a closer one and we are swept away on a journey filled with so much emotion ad family and sacrifice and second chances and new beginnings … Be prepared to swing from 1966 to 1996 and back and have a box of tissues nearby!

“The Labyrinthine Journey” was an interesting read. The most notable feature of this book, to me, is that it is an intense, high-action book. It is often hard to find a “good stopping point” for the night, due to the constant action (which let’s face it… no one is complaining about that). In the beginning, I was little lost since I did not read the first book in this series prior to this one. However, I will say the author did a good job “filling-in the blanks” as the story progressed. Given this, once I got into the flow of the story, I easily saw how this can be a stand-alone book. I originally suspected this to be a Percy Jackson twist, but to my surprise, it had a very unique plot to the reason for collecting the god-saving relics which Evan (the main character) was seeking. I have never been great at history, but from what I remember, it seems the author is well-learned on topics involving Ancient Greece and Greek mythology. I would recommend this book to any historical fiction fan.

The Labyrinthine Journey by Luciana Cavallaro is the second book in the Servant of the Gods series. This is a really interesting story with historical fiction, Gods and Goddesses, and a man from the 21st century on a quest to find a sacred object. Even, the son of Zeus, has to find this object before the beginning of Christianity. The characters are interesting and if you like history and mythology this will be a good read to you. I liked that the author took mythology and placed it in the context of the beginning of Christianity. Everything is well planned out and exciting to read. The story has a good flow and kept me from wanting to put it down. I look forward from reading more from this author in the future to see what interesting stories she brings to life.

Curse of Seduction (Dark Princes of Purgatory Book 1) By CR Robertson 5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the book Curse of Seduction (Dark Princes of Purgatory Book 1) by CR Robertson. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. This is a wonderful story that is full of magic, evil, and romance. Not only does it have a storyline that hooks you in it also has amazing and unforgettable characters. I loved reading about Ilana and Ezekiel. Ilana is a woman who believed that she was defective as a vampire. That is until she meets Ezekiel. She then finds her powers as a witch awakening. Ezekiel has been cursed. Something is taken from every woman that he feeds on. When he notices Ilana, he finds himself drawn to her. Can he save her from being changed by the curse he is under? What does the future hold for Ezekiel and Ilana? Read this book to find out. This a story that is romantic and there are many swoon-worthy scenes. I love books that are about the paranormal and this story is a good example of why. The author has woven a tale that you will get lost in with unforgettable characters. There are additional characters that Ezekiel and Ilana interact with who are helpful to them. Then there those who are evil and are determined that their schemes will succeed. Will they? This is a tale that includes many magical characters such as vampires and witches. I enjoyed the story that is woven about the princes of Purgatory, the curse, and the evil one that cast it. I grew to care about what happened to Ilana and Ezekiel with every chapter that I read. I wanted them to find happiness. Don’t miss out on a story that will have you reading far into the night to finish it. It is a book I highly recommend reading.

I’m always a fan of the taboo romances. I love the forbidden aspect and the internal battles that ensue. This is a new author to me and she did not disappoint. Bailey and Cooper had amazing chemistry from the start. There was no denying that the fire was there. We got to see many sides of Cooper, even though not all were good, you can’t deny wanting all good things happen to him. The issues they faced were very real in a situation that they shared. I enjoyed this book immensely and cannot wait for more.

This is my first book by this author and after reading this read, I can’t wait to read more from her and see how her other reads are, and if it’s going to be anything like this one then it’s going to be just as brilliant. This is a brilliant second chance romance read that has had me captivated from the very beginning. I thoroughly enjoyed this read from the get-go. I absolutely loved all the characters in this read and really enjoyed following their journey and story. It was an emotional rollercoaster of a read that took me along with the characters in which I kept turning the pages to find out more! I loved how their connection and chemistry grew, it was real and raw and just what I think both of them really need and I’m glad I went along on their journey. I can’t wait for more from this author, but until then don’t miss this read!

Stepbrother is the first book in the Step Dilemma series by Stacy McWilliams, and my first time reading anything by this author. The story starts with Bailey meeting her mother’s new boyfriend, she finds it difficult meeting new people, and even more awkward when it’s her soon to be stepdad. Soon enough Bailey finds herself in a new home, new neighbourhood and new school. What she didn’t expect is for her new stepbrothers to want to make her life hell, super sexy Cooper in particular seems to hate her. Bailey soon finds out that there’s a fine line between love and hate, and things aren’t as they seem on the surface in her new home.
It took me a little while to warm up to Bailey, and even longer to take to Cooper, but I did in the end. The story is action packed and emotional. It takes you on a rollercoaster ride through anger, sadness and hope…with several pit stops on the way. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

Dares & Dice by Phoebe Alexander is the fifth book in the amazing Spicetopia series. This book is as amazing as the previous books have been and I could not put it down. As with the others it can be read as a standalone but trust me when I say you really don’t want to because they are all worth the time. I think this book has to be my new favourite of the series – although I am sure I think that each time I read a new one. I was instantly sucked into the pages of this book and especially into the story of Ty and Mckenna. I loved these two characters immediately and knew that I was in for a ride straight away. The book has all the characteristics that I have come to love from this author. It is well written, exciting, full of strong characters with a great story line. There hasn’t been a single one of Phoebe’s books that I haven’t enjoyed. This series is well worth your time and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
The Labyrinthine Journey is book two in the Servant of the Gods series. It could stand on its own as the author does a good job of giving you tie-ins to book one. Although, this story is so good, who wouldn’t want to read the first book???
As a person who loves mythology, this book captured and held my interest. I felt like I was right there in the story with the characters. The world building is fantastic and the descriptions in the book bring everything to life. The Labyrinthine Journey is a colorful adventure that you will not want to put down!

I give A Book Signing To Die For by Judy Moore, 5 stars.
I really enjoy cozy mysteries and this book intrigued me, so I thought I would try it. Besides, what’s not to like about books, coffee, pets, and a beach setting? It led up to my expectations and then some. The characters were great — Beck is a great main character and the secondary characters compliment the book so well. My favorite is Beck’s grandmother. Just wait until you meet her!
Of course, it wouldn’t be a cozy mystery without a murder and the main character trying to solve it, now would it? In great Agatha Christie fashion, we have a whole slew of choices for the killer. The author does not make it obvious either. And the motive? I never saw it coming!
If you enjoy cozy mysteries with fun, great characters, in a usually peaceful setting, I highly recommend this book. I really hope there will be more books revolving around Beach Reads.

CR Robertson is an International Bestselling Author who lives in Ireland, the most magical country in the world. From an early age, she loved faerytales and mythological stories. She delved into the pages to go on an adventure with the characters, sparking a lifelong love of the literary world and story craft.
The Otherworld Chronicles started when the characters evolved in her head, constantly jumping in to tell their story until one day that nagging voice said, “Why not write their faerytale?” The rest resides in the pages of the Otherworld. Her in-depth knowledge of mythology and faerylore weaves the background for the characters in each of her manuscripts.
It may be cliché, but she has a cottage by the sea on the east coast of Ireland. Gardening is one of her favourite pastimes and is evident in her garden that is overflowing with crystals and seasonal flowers for the birds, butterflies, and her favourite bumblebees. Her dogs enjoy the sleepy seaside town and spend their time playing in the sea.
