My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The First Book, Famished, was brilliant, and I was hooked from the beginning, and was quick to start the second book, Conviction, it didn’t hold my interest quite as much as the first one, but I still enjoyed it, but By the third one, Repressed, things seemed a little too far fetched for me for it to be possible, maybe because I have knowledge of the police force, It just seems a bit unfathomable for me. I can see how others can enjoy this series and if you do enjoy action packed adventure, then this would be an excellent series for you. Personally, there were some subjects that for me it was a bit hard to read through and it did turn my stomach, but there is no lack of detail in descriptions.

Journeys Through SpaceTime by James Talisman
Five Stars

Journeys Through SpaceTime is a debut book by James Talisman and an awesome first book in what looks to be a superb series. This sci-fi/fantasy is packed with action and adventure that had me hooked from the very start. This story incorporates a lot of different characters and worlds, and it is wonderful how James kept them organized and in sync. Because of the sheer amount of information and jumping between multiverses, you need to read without distractions to get the full effects of the story. I really felt a connection to the characters and was amazed at the plot. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

The Fat Girl’s Guide to Loving Your Body by K.L. Montgomery – Review by Michelle King

The Fat Girl's Guide to Loving Your BodyThe Fat Girl’s Guide to Loving Your Body by K.L. Montgomery
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book might be titled “The Fat Girls Guide…” but this book is for everyone! I think that everyone has probably had or has issues with their bodies. It’s so easy to hate things about yourself and this book will help you learn to love yourself, both inside and out! I’m not normally a self-help book reader, but this is a must read! I’m so glad I picked this one up. It definitely resonated with me, not only with the way I see myself, but in the ways I’ve thought about others as well. Do you judge others based on what they look like or what size they are? Read this. Hopefully it will give you an understanding of what you are doing, not only to yourself, but to others as well.

The journaling you are asked to do throughout this book may be a struggle for many. I mean, who really wants to take a hard close look at themselves and put into writing what you love and don’t love about your body? Do it! It really does help and will create a more body positive image of yourself. You’ll see just how great you really are!

Overall, this is honestly a super fun book! The author is so conversational and real, it feels like you’re sitting down and having a conversation with your best girlfriend! I devoured this book in hours and can’t wait to read it again. And I’m looking forward to the daily affirmations…365 days of them! Yes, this book is meant to be used over a years’ time. I think my attitude toward myself will take a huge directional change over the next year thanks to this author. This book is needed and a must read for all!

This book is amazing and a must for anybody who has issues with their bodies.

This books is body positive and teaches you to look at yourself not in terms of how much you weight but in what you can do and achieve. It promotes that no matter what your size and shape everyone can achieve anything they want to.

The journal exercises throughout the book are also great for making the whole journey personal to yourself and is a good tool for helping you see how far you have come from start to end.

This is a quick read that covers shifters, witches, shaman and humans. We meet a group of friends who are all paranormal. Then me meet Piper who runs the local bakery and is not quite human. We get to watch her come to terms with not only the paranormal world but also being one herself. This is cute and inventive. I enjoyed the characters and their bond to each other. This is a first time author for me. I would be interested in more of her stories along this line.

This is a book that can be used over and over. I like the journaling and daily affirmations she has included. Its much more of a work-book to be a better me. I feel this is not just a book for fat people. It’s really for anyone with body shaming issues. Yes it leans toward helping overweight people but much of this is really for anyone.

I like the honesty written in this book. If ever I was wondering if what a certain body part was doing what it was supposed to….I found out in here. Or if I was the only one thinking this negative thought…I found out in here I am not alone. The author shares her personal stories and journey with the readers as well as tidbits and helpful links.

The words flow very nicely making this easy and fun to read. I think a lot of people will benefit from this book. As I was reading I was making a mental list myself of people I could gift it too.

This is a book that I enjoyed reading. I loved the author’s wit and how she tackles the issues that are faced by those who are not happy with their body. This is a book that made me take a hard look at how I see and think about myself. The author gives advice and tackles many issues regarding how you see your body and how to love yourself. I loved that the author used her own personal experiences. I have struggled with my weight since childhood, so this book had me thinking back over the years and how I found that others shaped how I thought of my body. Many of my experiences have been negative. I found this book to be uplifting and a guide in choosing to be happy with my body. It is a book I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to learn to love their body. Highly recommended.

The Ash Park Series Box Set (Books 1-3): Famished, Conviction, and RepressedThe Ash Park Series Box Set (Books 1-3): Famished, Conviction, and Repressed by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I loved these book! Each was well thought out and detailed in both plot and development.

Famished: An Ash Park Novel, Volume 1 by Meghan O’Flynn
4 out of 5 Stars
This book is one heck of a way to start a series. This is a slow burn type of read. It takes a bit for the main plot to get up and running but when it does. BAM, it takes off of the ground and hits it running. Set in the pits of a run-down suburb of Detroit. There is a serial killer, lurking, picking off women and hacking them into bits.
Hannah is trying to convince herself that she has nothing to do with it, but then, her boyfriend is murdered in the exact same gruesome way and the police name her the number one suspect. Hannah didn’t kill her boyfriend, or any of the other people. The problem is, she knows who did, and unless she does something about it, they will keep killing.
Ms O’Flynn is a very talented writer. This book was full of passion, emotions and strong details. Most defiantly an 18+ for the strong language and violence but a fantastic book none the less. If you love James Patterson, or books similar, you will love this book.

Conviction: An Ash Park Novel, Volume 2 by Meghan O’Flynn
4 out of 5 Stars
This book is intense. If there was ever a white-knuckled thriller, this book would be in the running. I could not turn the pages fast enough on this book. Shannon Taylor is the main character for this book and lord have mercy is she a powerhouse. Being a District Attorney for her city means that she has to be tough as nails and when she has to deal with the lowest of the low, she is as tough as they come, except when it evidence shows that she may have put a young mother in jail for a murder that she didn’t commit. That will crack the edges of even the hardest hearts.
Shannon knows the girls is hiding something but she won’t say what, or who it is and Shannon herself becomes the victim/target of warnings and targeted messages. Shannon has to race against the clock to protect herself and to right the wrong she has done by putting the right person behind bars, she just isn’t sure if she will be put into the ground first.
Ms O’Flynn is a very talented writer. This book was full of passion, emotions and strong details. Most defiantly an 18+ for the strong language and violence but a fantastic book none the less. If you love James Patterson, or books similar, you will love this book.
Repressed: An Ash Park Novel, Volume 3 by Meghan O’Flynn
4 out of 5 Stars
This third book in this series is beyond amazing. Curtis Morrison has had a rough life, but right now, life is good for him. Newly married, a Detective at Ash Park Police and a baby girl. But all of that comes crashing to a halt when his wife and daughter go missing and his life goes into a tail spin.
Someone from his past is coming back to get him, and they are making his live h*ll. He has spent the better half of his adult life trying to get away from the life he left, but someone does not want him to forget. Someone wants him to remember and they want to make him remember in a way that will hurt him the worst, and time is running out.
Ms O’Flynn is a very talented writer. This book was full of passion, secondary emotions and strong details. I loved every second of this book. Most definitely an 18+ for the strong language and violence but a fantastic book nonetheless. If you love James Patterson, or books similar, you will love this book.

Overall this series is incredible! I love a good thriller and this one fills that for me.

This box set by Meghan is fulled with some good stories. I enjoyed Famished the most. You really get to understand the characters. The last book wasn’t my favorite just because it was hard to understand the characters thinking. The stories have a lot of ups and downs. The mysterious deaths and the addictions have you ready to pull your hair out. I say they’re worth the time. There are moments that will have you scratching your head but Meghan is an amazing writer. You really feel the words that she writes. The characters emotions spilled out on the pages so that you feel them. You definitely won’t be disappointed.

I did now know what to expect but the book had a little bit of everything. There was steam, romance, and the supernatural. IF you are into suspense and intrigue along with murder then this is the series for you. I have read all three and the author has a very descriptive unique writing style. The author has a very vivid writing style that the reader is sucked right into the unique world that is being drawn out.

I felt like I was right there with the detectives as they investigate the crimes in the three books. I found that the very vivid way in which the author writes really brings the characters to life. Even though each book is a different crime that is investigated the series just has a natural flow. You come across a lot of series that just seem disjointed but this series is the exception. There is
really is a nice natural flow to it that just keeps the reader interested and anxious for the next in the series. If you like crime books and like to get into the mind of the criminal and the detectives trying to solve the case then this is the series for you. I highly recommend it and the author.

The author’s very vivid imagination brings the characters to life in the writing. I felt as though I was there right alongside the characters as the drama was unfolding.

I found the concept of a mulitverse quite original and thought that the author did a good job of laying out all the factions.I didn’t have a problem following the story through the various parts of the multiverse and thought that it was very well organised and presented. This is not my usual genre but sometimes I really just love a good sci-fi read. This book is so complex with many different characters and worlds intermingling, but it all works, and comes together nicely while still being able to follow along easily. The storyline was gripping and very fun to get into, and I love a book that makes me feel as if I am living in the same time, or space etc. The action, suspense and adventure kept me enthralled waiting to see what would happen next to each individual character. I really enjoyed the beginning that had a layout of all the different worlds, the characters we would meet from those different worlds and how they were connected to the other characters. It helped me put a lot together in my own mind. I was impressed with how easy it was to follow along with each journey because at the start of a new story, the world in which we were being transported to was announced. I would definitely recommend giving this book a read, I don’t think you would be disappointed in the slightest.

The Ash Park Series Box Set (Books 1-3): Famished, Conviction, and RepressedThe Ash Park Series Box Set (Books 1-3): Famished, Conviction, and Repressed by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I give The Ash Park Series Box Set (Books 1-3): Famished, Conviction, and Repressed by Meghan O’Flynn, 4 stars.

This set introduces us to a new dark Crime Suspense series. While they are all about Ash Park and involve the police department, each one has different main characters. This makes it interesting because we learn more about each one of these people. Some of them seem to be one thing, but there is so much more to them. It reminds you not to judge a book by the cover. The people are well done too. Each one is struggling with demons of the past, but they are all unique in their own way.

Then there are the stories themselves. Again, they revolve around the same community, and involve murders, but the motives and way of killing are different in each book. They are very dark and psychological, but interesting too. I wasn’t quite sure what was going on until the end. Some of them are a bit graphic and involve things that may be hard to stomach, so if you don’t like your criminal suspense to have a horror edge, this series may not be for you. However, if this is your style of reading, I highly recommend reading this series.

This box set includes the first 3 books in the wonderfully dark and twisted Ash Park series and what a collection of books it is! I really enjoyed all three of the books in this set; they were all exciting, dark and gripping reads! I am certainly looking forward to the next books to come!
I loved Meghan O’Flynn’s writing style; she had me on the edge of my seat on more than one occasion!
The three books in this box set are Famished, Conviction and Repressed.

Famished

This was such an intriguing read, a little out of my usual comfort zone but I found myself captivated about what was going on and trying to guess what was going to happen. I really have to applaud the author for her eerie writing, the hairs stood up on my arms a few times whilst I was reading. Not being my usual kind of read mean that I hadn’t quite guessed the ending but I don’t think I would have anyway – the ending was brilliant and totally unexpected. The author did a great job of keeping everything hidden until the right time. It did take me a little bit of time to get used to who was speaking during the story as it is written from different ones however it is well worth staying with it.

Conviction
The story was well written and full of excitement and action. I love that the storyline is both complex but easy to follow and the characters are compelling and captivating. I liked Shannon I thought she was a very strong female lead.

Repressed
Wow, what a read! I think I am still trying to process most of the book – I’m definitely glad I read it in the day!! It was dark, gritty and whilst I don’t condone the things that happen in the story it is after all a story, and one that was very well written. The book honestly left me on the edge of my seat on more than one occasion and I did have to put it down a few times to gather my thoughts! The characters were complex, Morrison and Petrosky worked well together.
I thought that the story was well paced and it was extremely well written. It’s definitely not for the faint-hearted but the author has done an amazing job with telling such a twisted story that absolutely captivated me from beginning to end. The action never stops and I couldn’t turn the pages quick enough so I could see what was going to happen.

A fantastic box set and one that I highly recommend!

Kermode (Legends Series Book 2) by Maggie Adams

4-Stars

Kermode (Legends Series Book 2) by Maggie Adams was an exciting fantasy romance. This book is the second in its series but can be read as a standalone. It has an addictive storyline that quickly pulls readers in. Noah is a Grizzly bear shifter and senses a magical shift that threatens his odd ball family and leader Jonas. Piper is running her grandparent’s bakery and has been having strange dreams.

I really enjoyed this book and could not put it down. The characters were realistic and creative. There was a variety of magical beings in this book that all played into the storyline. It was a great read that I finished in one sitting.

Journeys Through SpaceTime (Journeys Through Book 1) by James Talisman – Review by Shannon Fowler

Journeys Through SpaceTimeJourneys Through SpaceTime by James Talisman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the debut novel for Talisman, making it the first I have read by this author. Journeys Through is a new sci-fi/fantasy series. Talisman does a great job of creating not only one fantasy world but several within a universe!

Those many different Verses, are shown to us in the first chapter. We jump right into the adventure of this story…this world. There is a great battle coming. Good v. Evil. The ultimate battle and every being must be ready. With many different characters and worlds being introduced it is easy to become lost, but Talisman has a way of bringing the reader right where he wants them.

If you are a fan of fantasy, sci-fi or adventure, then this is the book for you!

The Ash Park Series Boxed Set (Books 1-3) by Meghan O’Flynn – Review by Amanda Taylor

The Ash Park Series Box Set (Books 1-3): Famished, Conviction, and RepressedThe Ash Park Series Box Set (Books 1-3): Famished, Conviction, and Repressed by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Ash Park Series Box Set (Books 1-3): Famished, Conviction, and Repressed by Meghan O’Flynn is a thrilling series. These books were so addicting that I couldn’t put it down until I knew what was happening next. They are dark stories that bring you mystery, suspense and danger throughout the whole series and they aren’t for the faint of heart. I was on a roller coaster ride with my emotions reading each book. In each book you meet characters and story lines that are written amazing, you get lost in the pages. These books can be read as standalones, but I recommend reading them in order as some of the characters are in each of the books.
