Game of Fear- A gripping psychological thriller with a shocking twist (Fearless Series) by Gledé Browne Kabongo is my first book by this author. The title peaked my interest as my favorite genre is psychological thriller. Her characters are fully developed and a bit mysterious. I feel as though I am apart of the story. This story kept me on the edge of my seat. It was such a roller coaster ride for my emotions. The story is about Abbie. Abbie had a goal to get into the Ivy League. But there is one problem, she did something bad and she is trying to keep it a secret. That proves to be hard since there was someone else knows her secret. Will Abbie get to the Ivy Leagues or will her secret come out?

5 Star Set it Free (Fallen Eagles MC Book 3) by T. Birmingham is a romantic suspense that I found myself lost in the pages and couldn’t stop reading till the end. I’ve been patiently waiting for this book and definitely wasn’t disappointed. I would highly recommend reading the first two books if you haven’t already just because it will give you a better idea of the MC. I’m a huge fan of this Author and love MC’s. This story is about Callum and Spring. She has big dreams but is a hot mess,he doesn’t do committed relationships that is until he meets Spring . He can’t seem to stay away from her. Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

This author has been one of my favorite authors for quite sometime. This wasn’t one of my favorites by her but, I thought this book was ok. This book can be very helpful for just about anyone. There’s a lot of useful information and processes that if understood and followed one can learn how to love themselves. The author has a few pages where she wants you to keep a journal and gives you assignments. This book isn’t just for the “ fat girls “ the book touches on a lot of different body images. It’s just a way to help you learn to love yourself.

Loved this book! It’s the story of a normal high school girl who made a mistake and has now got to try and keep it secret. It’s got love and mystery, and a plot that you’ll never see coming. It kept me guessing right to the very end. It had me gripped from the very first page and I couldn’t put it down until I devoured it all.

The Fat Girl’s Guide to Loving Your Body by K.L. Montgomery
5 ++++++++ STARS
I just don’t feel right rating this book using stars…It deserves so much more than a few stars. I started this book thinking ok it’s getting close to supper time, I’ll go ahead and start it then pick it back up later. Well that did not happen. Hubby got leftovers which he even had to warm up himself and I read this book in a little over 2 hours. I then sat and stared for another half hour until hubby asked if I was ok.
I can not even put into words how this touched me, like I mean straight in the heart, it’s like she crawled in my head and stayed there for the last 30-odd years taking every thought and feeling I’ve experienced. I’ve since bought one copy for one daughter and was telling another daughter that I was going to buy it for her and she ordered it while we spoke. Next up…Buy the paperback, I want to go back and follow every instruction given and start the journaling I’ve wanted to start for years and didn’t know where to begin, KL Montgomery has given me that direction.
I changed my lifestyle almost 5 years ago and have literally lived it since, just wanted to eat healthy and get rid of preservatives and such, the side effect of that was losing over 100 lbs and have kept it off within 10lbs or so. It still never occurred to me to love my body, you can change your physical lifestyle all day long but the feelings inside are habits that are hard to break and this guide has made me look at things in a whole different light.
I love this Author, she has written 2 of my favorite books ever and now I can say that that number has risen to 3..
Thank you for waking me up, making me smile, making me giggle a few times, making me cry, making me look at myself differently, and allowing me to get to know you.
So I gave this book 5 stars because that’s how we rate on our reviews but as I said, this book deserves so much more than stars!

Montgomery has become a favorite. This book was one I wasn’t expecting from her but boy am I ever glad she tackled. Like her other works, it feels like you are having a good conversation with a cup of coffee with a good friend. It flows well. It’s practical. And that doesn’t keep it from reaching up and giving the backside kicking you needed for the reminder of your worth. Hands down, this is a must read for readers of all shapes, sizes, ages, gender. Do yourself a favor. Read it. Read it again. And then do something with the invaluable advice your friend has given you.

Hands down, this was what I was hoping for in the latest installment in this series. The storyline and characters continue to enthrall me as soon as I dive in to the pages. DuMond has done a fantastic job putting this story together. For the reader to fully enjoy the scope of this story, I recommend reading it in series order. Intense, full of intrigue, laced with romance, containing the right amount of it all. I couldn’t put it down and eagerly wait for the next book!

This is a series I have loved from the first book, I highly suggest reading them in order to help enrich your enjoyment of this series and to keep up with the characters. This is the third book and my favorite yet so far. This is a well written story that pulled me in right from the first word. The characters are dark but they are awesome and supportive of each other. They make the story feel real. This is a dark story about Evie who has four clients left and they all seem to want her love and one even wants her to take her life. This was emotional in parts which kept me turning pages. I highly recommend reading this to find out which client will come out on top.

BELOVED (21st Century Courtesan Book #3) By Pamela DuMond 5 out of 5 stars
The story BELOVED (21st Century Courtesan Book #3) by Pamela DuMond is the next exciting book in a series that I have loved since I read the first story. This book pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It is a story that has steamy scenes that make the temperature in the room rise. It is the story of Evie. She is a 21st Century Courtesan who helps broken billionaires heal. She is an intelligent, independent, and strong woman. She has a new boss, a stalker, a man who is stealing her heart, and a man who wants to take the next step in their relationship. What does the future hold for Evie? Will she give her heart of Wyatt Wolfe? What happens in her relationship with Dylan McAllister? What happens with her “Devoted Fan?” Read this book to find out. I feel that Evie is a woman whose emotions and feelings are complicated as well as torn. This is a story that had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading. The book has its dark, suspenseful moments and I found myself wondering about the motives of some of the characters. I would suggest reading these stories in order to have a full understanding of the events that happen. This is a series and story that I would highly recommend reading.

Here is a self-help guide that might actually work. Of course, you have to do the homework and just like with most things, this will work if you do.
I really liked the way Montgomery wrote this book. Like she’s talking to a friend. And don’t friends want their friends to be happy and healthy? This book makes me feel like Montgomery wants me to be happy. Happiness just may start with loving your own body! (Regardless of your current size!)
This book is easy to read and flows well, touching on many topics that affect a “fat girl” from hating body parts to media “expectations” to diets and fads. Many sections of this guide have “homework” or a journaling assignment. Can you read this book without doing the homework? Of course you can but if you truly want to love your body, do the work. That’s my ”Bopo Meditation”: Do the work.

The Fat Girl’s Guide to Loving Your Body by K.L. Montgomery 5 ++++++++ stars
I just finished reading this book and I have to say first off, BRAVO! Amazing read, and very eye opening and made me more self aware of things I think or say, as i have a 6 year old daughter who is watching and listening to everything. Now I read in here that the author would like to hear from someone on the skinny side of things and I’ll start this off with saying, my whole life (I’m 32) I have been tiny. I’ve had 3 kids and being pregnant was the only time in my life the scale ever went over 100lbs. To me, that was a hard pill to swallow seeing the number go up so much every appointment as it was not a normal thing for me to see. I knew it was normal and needed and I didn’t change anything I was doing as I wanted to do the best for the growing child in me but it took until my 2nd pregnancy to get over the shock and just guess how much I grew. My whole life i was labeled the skinny girl, told I needed to eat more , presumed to have an eating disorder etc and with that I can put myself in others shoes as, yes skinny people get bullied too. Not to the extremes I’ve read or heard about for those larger than me, but its all coming from the same malicious place. This book has kicked me into wanting to journal with my 6 year old as she, unlike me, puts on weight at a speed I’m not used to personally or compared to her older & younger brothers and that’s ok because its her body as we are all different.. She’s beautiful, bright and doesn’t know or care how she looks and that’s my goal to keep with her into loving herself as we’ve never said a negative thing to her, as I remember what it feels like to hear things . For years, I cried as I didn’t feel like a girl because I have little to no chest. I can go without a bra and no one would notice and I hated that, made me feel less than. Then when I started to accept the fact at age 15, my mom who was in the same boat genetically, got surgical breast lift procedures by Dr. Hyman in the New York City area and that started my plan for after I was done with having children that was a must do. She was happier, able to wear whatever she wanted and just seemed to be ‘whole’. I still get the urge to book an appointment just to see, but I have a Husband who tells me often he loves me for me and its starting to sink in that I’m perfect how I am.
For me, I feel genetics do play a part as the majority of my family is thin, I remember the story of my maternal grandmother she was newly pregnant with her 8th child and she was 98lbs, so that plays a role and who are we to judge something that many struggle with and have almost zero control over. You can’t change your genetic makeup but this book helps teach to embrace you for you and to love who you are. This feels like rambling now but I don’t care. No matter your body type, read this book, do the journals and love yourself for who you are because there’s only one you here.

The Fat Girl’s Guide to Loving Your Body by K.L. Montgomery a positive five-star read. I have enjoyed several of this authors works and always found them to be body positive but this just brought it to the next level, we get to hear the author tell us about their own story, and if like me you struggle with your weight, it just adds an extra voice to the one in your head, and to me that extra voice is a welcome one as its being nice for a change. I enjoyed the style of writing as its not your typical in this type, there is a lightness, freshness and something extra as well. I have read this from cover to cover and devoured it, but I am sure I will be dipping in and out as its filled with messages that you can take day by day as well as information, journals and story’s about how to love yourself no matter who you are or what your size.

What a great book to start off the New Year with. It is a message I want to take forward with me through the year, and the rest of my life. This topic is one that doesn’t just touch close to home, it smashes in the front door. The Fat Girl’s Guide to Loving Your Body by K.L Montgomery is a bit different from her other books- but still has her wit, humour and positive messages stamped all over it. This book is like sitting down and having a coffee and chat with a close friend. It lays everything out and doesn’t pull any punches- but in a really helpful and uplifting way. It gives inspiring advice, helpful hints, motivational quotes, and even a kick@ss playlist to go with your new attitude. So, if like me, you have struggled with body image issues, and loving the skin you’re in- then this is definitely the book you need to help adjust your mindset and give you the positive inspiration to move forward with a new perspective and respect for yourself. Thought provoking, real, and inspiring!

Montgomery – Review by Angela Hayes
Naomi is the second book in Mya O’Malley’s paranormal Maggie Trilogy so we have one more book to look forward to! We are back with Naomi and Bryce, her next door single dad and her fiancé. You absolutely have to start with book one! Neither of the books have a cliffhanger BUT it is a trilogy so do yourself a favour and read the in order! The story carries on from the end of the last book and the writer throws us on a rollercoaster from chapter 1! There are twists and turns and you will be sitting on the edge of your seat until you come to the end and close the book. You will feel with the characters, you will follow them into the darkness and into the light … I loved how Naomi was building her own strong relationship with Holly and how she becomes the mom Holly needs. I also loved how we still get to hear about Ryan and Maggie, that they did not get left behind when we finished with book one. I also loved how the writer gives us the story from two different persons’ point of view so at any given time you can truly feel like you are part of the story along with Naomi and Bryce so I can simply not wait how the trilogy will conclude!

This was most definitely my favorite book in this series! The characters (um…spirits…) in this book were so easy to feel a connection with. The story pulls you in and keeps you on the edge of your seat from the first page to the last. I truly felt emotionally involved in Lillie’s life, and the other characters as well. You finally understand Naomi’s need to help the spirits that keep invading her life. But is it worth the risk of losing everything? Naomi and Bryce both have made so many sacrifices in their relationship. Will this latest quest be what finally breaks them? Or can they survive by leaning on each other’s strengths? There are quite a few twists and turns in this book that I certainly did not see coming! If you love a good ghost story, then this one is for you!

Recall: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 6) by Meghan O’Flynn. I seriously cannot get enough of this series. It’s so twisted and the suspense and mystery keeps me on my toes. This author knows suspense and knows how to keep readers coming back for more. While you can read these as stand-alone’s I highly recommended reading them all and honestly I love reading in order. The characters are complex and draw you into their world so completely I forgot I was reading at times finding myself just lost in the pages. Trying to read as fast as possible to see what happens and wishing I could read slower to make it last. I love a book that keeps me up late into the night and this one definitely did that and I led every minute of it. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I’m excited to see where the author takes readers next. Five stars all the way and highly recommended!

This is the third and final book of the series and i was looking forward to this book because i was looking forward to seeing how the author brought this series into conclusion. I thought this series was really good and i liked all of the characters. This is a second chance romance, so if thats what you like then this one is worth reading. I couldn’t put it down, i was intrigued from page 1 and i read this in one setting. I am looking forward to reading more by this author in the future and i would recommend this to a friend. Happy Reading!

Second Chance by Jane Suen is book three of the Flowers in December trilogy. Though this book is the final book of the trilogy, it can be read as a standalone. This book is an emotional story that pulls you in until you’ve finished it.
Mary Ann owns the local flower shop which keeps her plenty busy. She doesn’t have time for anything else. Connor is only in town for his mother’s funeral. Neither one has anything else on their minds when Connor wakes into the flower shop and thus into Mary Ann’s life. Mary Ann and Connor experience some misunderstandings and Connor realizes he never should have left. Can Connor and Mary Ann get past the hurt they’ve experienced?
This book is an emotional roller coaster but definitely a sweet romance. This was the first book I read in the trilogy but I definitely am going to read books one and two because this book was so good!

The Fat Girl’s Guide to Loving Your Body by K.L. Montgomery was an amazing read. It is full of life changing inspiration and is helpful to more than just one specific population. It has humor as well as some difficult moments for readers to work through. It is very helpful and also encourages journaling along with journal prompts. I have only done a few prompts but really wanted to finish reading the material. This is a book that readers well definitely look back to over and over again. I really felt Montgomery speak to me on a whole different level with this book. It is excellent and I highly recommend it.

The Fat Girl’s Guide to Loving Your Body by K.L. Montgomery is a must read. It was refreshing to read from an author who is so honest and truthful. She even begins by not apologizing for the amount of swearing that will take place in the book, which I loved. The layout of the book makes it easy for a reader to pick up with whatever topic they may need, or read it from cover to cover. The writing that goes along with the topics help to drive the points home for the reader. This is not a “get thin quick” guide, this book helps the reader learn these lessons and be able to work them into their everyday lives. Rome was not built in a day and this same mentality applies to a positive body image. I highly recommend this story to anyone that isn’t feeling themselves, whether a “fat girl” or not, because we could all use a little more positivity in our lives.

This book is a must have, and I don’t mean just for the ‘fat girl’ either, everyone, especially teen girls should get to experience the way this book shows you to love yourself. One of my favorite things about KL Montgomery is she often includes playlists with her novels in the fiction world but she did her too and I freaking loved it. I have been dying to get my hands on this book since the moment I saw it was being written. We all need to learn to embrace our inner fat self and see ourselves for more than what is our body type. This book shows you that you can make yourself over and your esteem can rise without killing the vibe, it can be fun and freeing to love who you are and that is very much a present thought throughout.
Now I have started this book but I have not completely finished it because it is set up like a journal as well as a book. It gives lots of writing ideas that will help you to dive deep into your thoughts and patterns to see where you need to spend the most time focusing. I think this book is going to be a journey for myself and I won’t rush through it. Instead I have it post-it notated to split it up and savor each moment. It also includes motivational and fabulous quotes for every single day of the year so I look forward to opening this book and reading the daily affirmation/quote. I am excited to share this with my daughter when she turns thirteen this summer as well. She too has a body that she will have to learn to love in a society that preaches we are unlovable. I can’t wait to see what this book will bring the both of us. While you savor this one you can grab many body positive romances to read from KL Montgomery too! Bonus! I can’t wait to see what else she has in store for us this year!

This falls into the genre of clean romance with characters that are slightly older (in their mid to late 30’s). This is a genre space that is missing good stories. Mary Ann and Connor had a solid base plot, with Mary Ann having recently bought a small business in a smaller community and Connor returning to his hometown after a life event left him re-evaluating what was important to him. Connor’s life event thrust him into Mary Ann’s life path. With all of that in mind, this book should have been something I enjoyed, unfortunately, it just fell flat. The book never developed into something where I was able to become emotionally attached to the characters. It had a lot great pieces that I wish would have been developed into a much deeper story. On the plus side this was a fairly short book that had an inspirational feel to it: staying true to yourself, listening to your inner self, appreciate those in your life and be sure to tell them. Those are things that we all should do every day.

Kermode (Legends Series Book 2) By Maggie Adams 4 Stars A fantasy shifter romance with likeable main characters Piper and Noah, and a host of secondary characters that you get to know as well. Although this is book two in Adams, Legends series, it works well as a standalone read (although I enjoyed this book so much I have now read book one as well). The story focuses around Piper, who has been having strange dreams, of fur, claws and magic and even finds herself waking up naked in a field one morning. Noah, who’s job is to get rid of the rouge shifters that have appeared in their small town of Grafton then enters Piper’s bakery and instantly falls in love, ‘imprinting’ on her. This is the start of a lovely romance and a great read. I liked how Piper and Noah’s relationship developed throughout the story. Noah soon realises the new power he has been feeling actually comes from his soulmate Piper, however she doesn’t know it herself. This was a book full of romance, mystery, suspense and humour, it really had it all and it kept me turning the pages well into the night.

I have read the two previous books in this Trilogy and, as I had said before in a review for Naomi (book 2) I absolutely think you should read them all and in order. That being said-this was by far my favorite of the 3 books. I could actually gush over this book. I LOVE Naomi and all of the wonderful characters in this book. I am such a fan of Mya O’Malley’s I will undoubtedly read anything she writes. This story will lead you through such a thrilling plot of past, present and future visions and the lives of ghosts Naomi comes in contact with. Sometimes I have to be in the right “mood” for paranormal ghost mysteries, however Mya ALWAYS nails it!

The Fat Girls Guide to Loving Your Body b K.L. Montgomery is one of those books that you experience rather than read. It is such a relatable and engaging book and it is something that I think everyone needs to read. I was familiar with K.L. Montgomery through her romcom work and knew that her writing style was right up my street: I’m not normally one of self-help, love yourself type books however this one completely struck a cord. I don’t know if it is because of how matter of fact I found her to be or if I just happened to be in the right mindset for it but I connected with this book in a way I haven’t don’t for a long time. I might not share all the exact same struggles as Krista but you can easily see your own life reflected in what she was saying. This book really made me look at things in a different light and want to be more positive. I cannot recommend this book highly enough and it has already made my must read list for 2020 – it will take some doing to beat this one I think!!!

The Fat Girl’s Guide To Loving Your Body is a must read for anyone who is carrying a few extra pounds (or a lot of extra pounds) and who is unhappy with their body. As an obese, probably morbidly obese lady (yeah, I hate that term too) so much in this book spoke volumes to me. I was a chubby teen who went on my first diet at 18. I slimmed down to 8 stone for my wedding, only to go up to 16 stone later. K.L. Montgomery is an author that I love. She doesn’t write about stick insect, Barbie doll heroines in her books. She writes about curvy ladies, ladies with bigger butts and no thigh gaps and I love her for this. In this book she writes about how we should love our bodies no matter what shape and size they are. I also love one of the mantras she used several times – you do not have to be pretty. I loved reading her own experiences with weight issues and it really helps to know that I’m not alone, there are so many others like me out there. The assignments that she sets are very thought provoking and really make you think hard about your own thoughts and perceptions. I really loved reading this book and think that many people would get a lot from reading this.
