Elemental Fae Academy (Elemental Fae Academy Book 1) by Lexi C. Foss & J.R. Thorn – Review by Anastasia Dodson

Elemental Fae Academy (Elemental Fae Academy, #1)Elemental Fae Academy by Lexi C. Foss
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book that i have read by these authors and i loved it. It is an Reverse Harem Romance which means by the end of the series the MC will end up with more than one man. I love RH so i knew as soon as i saw this, i needed to read it. And i was not disappointed! I finished this book in one setting because i couldn’t put it down. The main characters are fantastic and i was excited to see where their stories were headed. This book does have multiple POVs and that gave us more info on the men in this book and i loved that!
This story is about Claire whose world gets turned upside down when she discovers she is a halfling…. Meaning she is half Fae and half human. She had no idea there was this hidden part of her and she has to get her powers under control if she wants to keep the people around her and herself safe. She is put into a fae academy where she will hopefully learn how to control her ever growing powers.
There is a lot of mystery in this book, you don’t know what is going to happen next and it makes things exciting. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series and i would recommend this to anyone that likes RH Academy series!

  1. This is the second book in the Fisher Men series. Although it is part of a series, this can be read as a standalone, but I would give the first book a chance! 🙂 This story focuses on Rika and Connor. It is a fun and romantic read. I love how they “meet”. To be honest, I fell in love with these characters with the sneak peak that we got at the end of the first book! I think that Rebel Nicks O’Dey did a fantastic job with this book. I recommend this series and, particularly, this book.View all my reviews

The Traitor (An Underground Bad Boys Romance Book 2)
by India Kells

This book definitely turns up the heat. This book is just as awesome as the first one. Spencer moved to a small town and bought a garage to get away from his past. He fights his demons on a regular basis and sees himself as a traitor. There is a woman who gets in his head as soon as he lays eyes on her. Josie who married an abusive man and is trying to get a divorce is working herself to the bone to try to achieve her freedom. Gage comes into the picture to see his old friend and to get away and that’s when things really heat up and get more intriguing. This story has more than steamy moments, it has romance, intrigue, danger, and heartache. This is definitely a must read. I highly recommend this book.

This page turner truly is a gem and one that everyone should put on their “to read immediately” list. And then you need to put it on your “read it again” list. Wow! Just Wow! The Flood by Meghan O’Flynn was an excellent little story. Tension and suspense all the way through. Honestly. It was difficult to put this book down. Chapter after chapter new situations and revelations. Ever have a day when you know something is not right, but so many things are wrong you can’t pinpoint what’s wrong. Yeah, it’s like that. It’s a bumpy ride as we hang with Victoria while she figures out what is going on and what she can do about it.

I’m sure if we looked back on my reviews of this series I would have one or two exclaiming that particular book was my favorite but I’m pretty sure THIS was my favorite!
Truck Stopped is the 11th book in the Satan’s Devil MC series and the story between Truck and Allie. While I haven’t read all eleven books of the series, I’ve read many because I enjoy how lives from different installments are woven together. I think I loved this story because I was familiar with characters. This book was everything I have come to enjoy from Manda Mellett’s series, an engaging story with characters you can identify with. Though the books in the series don’t necessarily need to be read in order, this story gave me such a sense of familiarity. I am looking forward to see what Manda Mellett has in store for her readers next.

Not So Wrong (Love Grows Book 2) by Renee Regent was an excellent Romance. I had a lot of fun reading this novel. Spencer and Melanie were two extremely talented and creative individuals. Their musical abilities had me full of envy. I really enjoyed following these two as their story progressed. Regent did an amazing job on their development.

This is the first book I have read in this series and will say that it can be read as a standalone. I felt the author provides enough detail to prevent readers from getting confused if they haven’t read the first book in the series. I do plan on eventually reading book one since this one was addicting. I highly recommend it!

Collision (Shattered Hearts Book 3) by Nicole Banks – Review by Michelle King

Collision (Shattered Hearts, #3)Collision by Nicole Banks
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What an unbelievable ending to this fantastic series! This is book 3 in the Shattered Hearts series and you must read them in order. Each book takes you on an incredible journey through the lives of these people. This final book tore me apart more times than I can count but I came out in the end all put back together again! This author truly knows how to pull every possible emotion out of her readers.

This is ultimately Kris and Chase’s story but all of your favorite characters from the first two books come out to play. I was so involved in the lives of these people. I felt like I was right there with them through everything they were going through. I laughed with them, cried with them, wanted to be there to protect them and help them work through their issues. While I can’t go into details without giving anything away, I will say that this book definitely keeps you turning the pages and won’t let you put it down until the very end. If you try to put it down, it will just drive you crazy because you absolutely have to find out what happens next! There were so many times I wanted to call the author and yell at her! (It’s probably a good thing I don’t have her number!) LOL! I couldn’t quite understand how she could possibly do this to me! But every time I was ready to start screaming and throwing things, she pulled me back from the edge. Just when you think you have it all figured out, it all changes. This story is full of drama and suspense, and plenty of romance and sexual tension that is off the charts hot!

I highly recommend this book and this series. Just be prepared for intense emotional overload! You will fall in love with 90% these characters and feel and see everything through their eyes. You will absolutely hate the other 10%! At least I did! There are still some lingering questions in my mind that I’m going to have to let go of. I would recommend you grab a bunch of friends and start a book club and read this series together so you can discuss it as you go along! Trust me you’ll want someone to rant to! 5 stars. Excellent work! I’m looking forward to more from this author!

Five stars does not do justice to this book! I was on the edge of my seat from the very first page! Miss O’Flynn shows great detail and emotion as she spun a tale of fear and survival. The characters strive to survive while figuring out why they are together in the first place. The mixture of camaraderie and mistrust left me second guessing who to trust. Page after page, the mystery builds.
I highly recommend this book. Anyone who enjoys a mystery with a creepy feel should grab a copy of this book. Meghan O’Flynn is a masterful storyteller.

Let me start by saying, I am in denial this chapters series is over. Yes I know the characters will be in other books but it just won’t be the same as being in that clubhouse.
Ok, on to Truck. I was very apprehensive to start this as I knew i was going to be emotional and i wasn’t very prepared. And Allie, the girl we loved to hate all this time. She was so well written here. I cant say enough about this book, but I also can’t get my words to cooperate right now to give this review the proper respect it needs.
I will one day own all 11 books in paperback as this series will stay with me for life. Read this series.

Not So Wrong (Love Grows series, Book 2)Not So Wrong by Renee Regent
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Not So Wrong by Renee Regent is the second book in the Love Grows series.

This is Spencer and Melanie’s story and it was worth every minute I spent reading it. Though there were a few times I wanted to pop Spencer for being an idiot.

Melanie has the weight of her family resting on her shoulders. She has a Mom, sister, a niece and two nephews depending on her and she feels so torn about everything.

Spencer has a problem with looking bad in anyone’s eyes. He will do everything he can to be the hero. It seemed like that continued to blow up in his face.

I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

A Perfect Fit was a sweet hometown romance that just lifts your spirits. I wouldn’t say there was a ton on angst but just a light-hearted romance that feeds the soul with all the sweets!

I loved Dunk and Daisy. The way they got together was completely hilarious! I loved how Dunk was sent on the chase for his “Cinderella” and the chase his friends lead him on. My favorite thing was the second half of the story. I love how both Dunk and Daisy have some personal growth that needs to be done and the journey that it takes them on.

Zoe Lee is a brand new author for me and I will definitely read more from this author!

Truck Stopped: Satan’s Devils MC #11 by Manda Mellett
My rating 5 out of 5 stars

This is a wonderful final book to the Satan’s Devils MC series. I did not have the pleasure of reading the rest of the series but, I am 100% sure I will be going to read the rest of the series. The characters we meet in this book, have me super interested to read their stories. THis book can be read as a stand-alone but like I just mentioned it was so good that I would recommend reading the whole series.

Allie is a strong woman, the way she handles everything that life throws at her is amazing. Being a sweet butt she falls in love with then prospect, Truck. When Truck goes through a pretty physically and mentally damaging trauma, Allie takes on the roll of trying to be the one to pull him back to the club. The things he says to Allie throughout really hurt my heart but their romance ends up beautiful.

Truck, after his trauma, wants nothing to do with his old MC and doesn’t want to be around anybody. When Allie shows up he assumes it is just his President’s way of giving him some booty and hoping he will come back…. It works. He realizes he has stronger feelings for Allie than he originally thought.

When Allie is plagued with a life threatening condition, Truck becomes angry all the time and feels helpless to do anything for her. When they are separated from each other for a year my heart couldn’t handle it anymore and thought the worse would happen to them and their fresh relationship.

Again, this book is amazing, and I could go on and on about it but will just leave you with… READ IT!

Claimed (The Torzial Affair Book 3) by Via Mari – Review by Moriah Venable

CLAIMED (The Torzial Affair Book 3)CLAIMED by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Claimed is the third novel in the Torzial Affair series by Via Mari. This is my third novel by this author.

Jenny has gone through a lot and has come out on top but someone is still after her and its time to finally find out who is after her so she can finally live a peaceful life.

Her relationship with Brian has changed from sexually to them finally admitting their feelings to each other. Brian opening up his heart and showing Jenny the world she had always been curious about, but with danger lurking around every corner, who is really loyal to who?

This was another fast paced novel where I wasn’t sure what was going on and there was so many twists and turns and people in danger and mafia kidnappings, that I had to reread some parts.

This series surprised in some many ways and I am glad that I gave it a try.

Bound (The Torzial Affair Book 2)Bound by Via Mari

Bound is the second novel in the Torzial Affair series by Via Mari. This is my second novel by this author.

With the news of her ex-boyfriend killed, all evidence points to Jenny, who did not commit the crime. Someone is framing her and even making up evidence. Knowledge of Ty, her ex boyfriend, embezzle money in the company she has worked so far to build up, Jenny has to make some tough decisions including what her relationship is with Brian before it becomes too late. She has people after her on every side, and not sure who to trust. Anyone could be working against her.

This novel was really fast paced with trying to find evidence to clear up Jenny’s name in the murder and to find out who really did it, but things weren’t looking so good for her. Her feelings for Brian are becoming stronger and wonders if she cares for her in the same way that she does for him.

I can’t believe I finished this a few hours and I am on the seat of seat to find out how this ends.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Shattered is the first novel in the Torzial Affair by Via Mari. This is my first novel by this author.

While attending her best friend’s wedding, Jenny Torzial attracts the attention of Brian Carrington. They sneak off for more privacy and when a kiss leads to possibly more, Jenny kicks him in the groin and runs out the room, confusing Brian. He tries to think nothing of it, but he wants to know more about her.

With the possibility of mafia, tracking her because of her association, Brian could be way in over his head.

This story really surprised me. I thought I knew how it was going to go but I was so wrong. Jenny is a strong character who is trying to make a name for herself and make her father proud but there are things about her past that she is start healing and turns to alcohol to face her demons.

Brian has a hard life and is unable to trust people but shows he has a caring side when he meets Jenny.

I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Collision (Shattered Hearts Book 3) by Nicole Banks – Review by Angela Hayes

Collision (Shattered Hearts, #3)Collision by Nicole Banks
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Collision is the third and final book in the Shattered Hearts Series by Nicole Banks. This story has been a while in the making, and I am so happy to say that it was definitely worth the wait. Even though I loved the other two books, Ms. Banks saved the best till last with this one, as this is my favourite of the series.
It’s a fantastic second chances story with emotion, obstacles, danger, suspense, chemistry, drama, angst, family, and romance. I waited so long to finally get my hands on this book, so I was really excited to get to finally dive in. The story held my attention from beginning to end, and I was so immersed in it all that I read it in one sitting. “Collision” has been quite a bittersweet experience, because on one hand I have been wanting to read this story for a while now and then finally got to dive into it and found it was everything I could have hoped for and more- but then in the back of my mind I know it’s also the final book in the series and that’s a little bit sad.
Chase and Kris got together eight years ago and spent an unforgettable night together- before he up and left, and he hasn’t been back, till now. Kris hasn’t heard from him in eight years and was quite hurt when he left the way he did. Now he’s back and wants to pick up where they left off. How will that work out for him? Then add the danger elements with all the suspenseful details, some emotion, and this story becomes really hard to put down.
So worth the wait!

Thank you, Ms. Banks!

Wow! What a book! What an epic and brilliant introduction to this amazing author. I have been utterly captivated and entranced by this read! I was utterly taken back by this book on how gripped I was as it isn’t my usual genre but boy was I on the edge of my seat with anticipation wondering what dark and twisted things were to come! Even with how dark this read was it was thrilling from the start and had my nerves on end. It’s also a book that you can’t help but try and connect the dots between the characters and the storyline. Through this book, you felt like you were living out the story of the main character, as though you were fighting all that was against you.

For how much of a psychological thriller read this was it should be a bad thing to say how gripping and brilliant this book was but until you read it and get as captivated as I did you will just have to take my word for how good it really was! I can’t wait to read more from Meghan O’Flynn and what else she has to offer for me to delve into!

The FloodThe Flood by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Flood by Meghan O’Flynn. Let me start by saying Meghan O’Flynn is one of my very favorite authors. This book just goes right in there with her other amazing reads. Once you start this you can’t put it down because you have to know what happens next. Its Louisiana and an unprecedented storm is occurring. Victoria Larson and her husband Chad are sitting on the roof of their home watching their beloved city turn into a lake with another massive storm heading their way. They’ve had no food or water for 3 days and don’t see any way in site of getting any until Wendy shows up in a boat and whisks them away to a water proof bunker. Once they get there Victoria goes on high alert because there is a lock on the outside of the door and the food boxes are empty. What is going on? How are all these people going to survive if there is no food. She’s also getting the weird vibe that everyone knows Wendy from before the flood. Are they all in a big plot together against her or is her mind just going crazy from lack of nutrition. This book poses the all important questions “what lengths would you go to in order to survive?” This book is a emotional roller coaster and I honestly didn’t know what was going to happen from one chapter to the next. Its a great book!

It is a story that grabbed my attention from the beginning, and I didn’t want to put it down until I had finished the final page. I loved the storyline and also the characters. There is the main character who gets taken to the Fae Realm and finds out about a whole world that she never knew existed. She also finds herself strongly attracted to Titus and a Royal Fae. Will she be able to learn to control the powers that she has unlocked with the help of her mentors? Read this book to find out. This story was entertaining and enjoyable to read. There are characters that I grew to really like and then ones that have their own agenda and are not welcoming. There are also characters that I found myself questioning what they really are up to. This is a story that progresses at a good pace. There are also scenes that are romantic. This is the first book in a series, and I can’t wait to read the next one.
