MAGNUM

I want her with everything I am. It’s a need so deep that all I can do is push her away. But, that’s who I am–it’s what I do. Anyone who dares to get too close, I shove away–out of my reach. The damage of my past won’t let me move forward–won’t let me love her.

But now, she’s in danger, and I refuse to let anything happen to her. Come Hell or high water, I will protect her. Or die trying…

BRENDA

It was all about sex. At least, that’s what I told myself. I refused to let Magnum have my heart. But when the anniversary of my tragic past comes back to haunt me, it’s Magnum who’s there to save me–from my past and from the demons who torment me. Time heals all wounds, but this time, the pain just might be incurable. Can Magnum fix what was destroyed so long ago?

BEDLAM (A TWISTED HEARTS LOVE STORY BOOK 1) BY AUTUMN SAND – A REVIEW BY MELISSA AGENA

Bedlam (A Twisted Hearts Love Story, #1)Bedlam by Autumn Sand
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was one of the best stories I have read in such a long time! Bedlam is the first book in the Twisted Hearts Love Story Series by Autumn Sand. This story follows Anaya and the sudden landing of an exclusive job of redesigning the interior at the elusive club Pulse. She has no idea how she’s contracted it, except for the fact that the owner has asked for her specifically and only her. Then when she shows up to the meeting and meets the owner, she can’t seem to take her eyes off of him. Small problem though…Anaya has a boyfriend, Iggy. Iggy is the head of the mob. However, the owner of the club has eyes for her too and can’t seem to stay away from her either. There are so many twists and turns it’s not even funny. I’m warning you now though, there are some pretty rough and graphic scenes in terms of rape. But there is a happy ever after to this story! This book is definitely a page-turner. I loved every minute of it! You will not be disappointed! I cannot wait for the next book in the series, especially if it is as good as this one!

Rafferty (Default Distraction Book 2)Rafferty by A. S. Roberts
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Rafferty (Default Distraction Book 2) by A. S. Roberts is a beautiful second chance romance story and one that will keep you thinking about the book long after you have put it down. This is the second story in the series and I have been waiting with baited breath for it to come across my lap. A.S. has written another winner with her amazing characters and vibrant details that make the story pop off the page. Trust me you will want to read the first book in this series Brody as it is a series written about a rock band and each of its members. It’s the little things that A.S. does so well her characters ooze sexy and broody like no one. I mean who doesn’t love a Rockstar, who is sooooo sexy and steamy. Trust me ladies you do not want to miss this series.

Things We Lost (Loving Locksley Book 1)Things We Lost by Shae Banks
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Things We Lost (Loving Locksley Book 1) by Shae Banks is a sweet second chance romance story that is a little emotional. It is a little predictable with the time tested story of boy meets girl and falls in love then one disappears and breaks the others heart but reunite years later. But that doesn’t mean I didn’t like it, I did really enjoy the story. I liked the characters and Shaes depiction of them made them seem real and likeable.

The boy of Nat’s dreams left with no reason why, boy she thought would be with her for the rest of her life but of course he broke her heart. Now she has finally gotten her life back on track after a disastrous marriage gone terribly wrong she is now faced with the man who broke her heart once again.

I look forward to see what Shae has instore for us next.

Until Fools Find Gold (Providence Gold Book One) by Mary B Moore

Four Stars

I couldn’t let someone tell me when and how to live someone. Levi was overprotective and wrong for his interference. Luna is amazing for growing the way she did. She has been through so much pain and trauma. Her father was an awful man and he didn’t do right by his child. So much of this story made me sad but also happy. The outcome doesn’t always have to be good. It could leave you feeling heartbroken. The author pulled at your heart strings. Through most of the book you question the mindset. I liked how the author gave each character growth. They actually were involved throughout the whole study. I will have to check out more books from this author.

Heels of Fortune (PJ Santini Series Book 2) by Lynne Russell – Review by Emma Morreale

Heels Of Fortune (PJ Santini Series Book 2)Heels Of Fortune by Lynne Russell
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

After reading the first book, I had decent expectations for the sequel. Lynne Russell didn’t disappoint and I was pretty well hooked from the first page. The plot was more evenly paced than the previous book and I didn’t feel like there were as many instances of “this was written for a male character and was switched at the last second” but there were a couple where I was thinking if the gratuitous description of PJ’s anatomy was entirely necessary. Tango was interesting but I just kept giggling at his name.

All in all, a definite improvement over the first book and I hope this series continues.

This is a second chance romance story that kept me interested from the very first page. I don’t want to put it down! Thomas and Emeline are the main characters and I adored them. They grew up as best friends but as they go older feelings started to change. Can they make things work as a couple or are they destined to be just friends??

REWIND by Rowan Shaw – Review by Madison Degraffenreid

Rewind by Rowan Shaw

5-Stars

Rewind was an interesting novel that focuses on the LGBT community. It was exceptionally written with an easy to follow storyline. It was very steamy and romantic. Florian and Enzo were the two main characters. Each had a unique and distinguishable personality. Out of the two, Enzo was my favorite. He did not let his disability hold him back and eagerly pursues his dreams. I loved how driven he was and he also seemed easier for me to relate to. This book was not something I usually read and I felt that it taught me different aspects of its setting, French sign language, and also how hostile the world can be toward others. This book did have several sex scenes and also had several hateful scenes as well. I really enjoyed this novel and I think others would as well.

The Reason Why is my first experience reading anything by Izzibella Beau and I have to say I am a bit disappointed that I have taken this long to get find her. I can’t wait to go back and read some of her other work. I had half expected this to be the typical love triangle book with the blurb but the teasers truly drew me in and I had to read it. I am glad I did, it had quite a few twists and turns that made it stand out among the crowd. I can’t wait to see what else she has in store and what is to come.

Bedlam (A Twisted Hearts Love Story Book 1) by Autumn Sand – Review by Robin Rankin

Bedlam (A Twisted Hearts Love Story, #1)Bedlam by Autumn Sand
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Bedlam: A Twisted Hearts Love Story by Autumn Sand is the first book in this series though each book is a standalone.

Anaya is unhappy with her life . Her longtime boyfriend is cheating and just doesn’t treat her the way she deserves. She realizes how unhappy and unfulfilled she is when she meets Tony.

Tony’s club needs a makeover and finds the perfect person Anaya. What he doesn’t realize is how fast she will get under his skin.

This book has everything including some possible triggers but the way they were written made me not cringe as much as I could have with that very uncomfortable subject.

I’m very weird when it comes to series, even if they can be read as standalones I still prefer to read them in order so this is actually the second book in this series I have read and so glad I picked this book.

Things We Lost (Loving Locksley Book 1)Things We Lost by Shae Banks
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Things We Lost is a good 4 star read and book one in the Loving Locksley series. Shae Banks pulled me right in with her writing and I couldn’t stop until I was done.

Nathalie gets a new job and goes out on the town with her friend to celebrate. While at the club she comes face-to-face with her first love and ex that left her 13 years ago. He want’s to catch up but Nathalie refuses and brushes him off.

Jason doesn’t give up easily and finally convinces Nathalie to meet up with him. There are some secrets revealed about why he made the choices he did. The connection is still there between them and they decide to try again. Can they finally get their HEA?

We get some steamy moments that may steam up your kindle. The secondary characters were great and I wouldn’t mind seeing more from some of them. Overall I really enjoyed Jason and Nathalie’s story, I had some LOL moments with their bantering. I look forward to reading more from this author and series. 1-click and get started today.

Bedlam (A Twisted Hearts Love Story, #1)Bedlam by Autumn Sand
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Bedlam A Twisted Hearts Love Story is not the first book I’ve read by Autumn Sand and definitely will not be the last. This author drags you into the story and makes you feel what the characters feel. The characters were amazing and some of them were lovable. Some not so much. This was a dark read and not for the faint of heart but the author expressed that in the blurb.
This book sucks you in from the very first chapter. I was so happy to read some of it and so sad for some of it. I was surprised to see how everything came together and what the plans were. Anaya seemed like a very strong character but, was surprised to see some of the things she put up with in her relationship. I’m looking forward to reading more books by this author.

Drawing Bloodlines (The Princeton Allegiant Series Book 1) by Deborah Garland – Review by Maura Harper

Drawing BloodlinesDrawing Bloodlines by Deborah Garland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have read this author before in her “Darling Cove” series – I enjoy her writing style and the way she tells a tale. DRAWING BLOODLINES was a little bit of a departure from the “small town” feel of her previous series.

From the very first sentence to the very last period, this book turned its own pages. It’s a well balanced story that has a paranormal aspect, romance, amazing characters and terrific world building. The main characters are a great read and the secondary characters not only hold their own, but lend to great anticipation of reading their stories in the very near (crossing my fingers) future.

This book is one that I would recommend to paranormal and romance readers alike.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Loving Locksley is a new series by Shae Banks and Things We Lost is the title. This is my first book by Shae Banks and I have to admit that this story peaked my interest. I am slowly becoming a fan of contemporary romance novels and that is what this story is but it is also about second chances. Let me be real for a moment, if my ex-boyfriend would want back into my life I am not sure if i could be tempted to take him back. Well that is what Nathalie was challenged with Jason. Thirteen years prior Jason was everything to Nathalie and he one day left and did not turn back. Fast forward to present and Nathalie was out with friends and in comes Jason. She did not want anything to do with him. She was hurt and not wanting to get hurt again. Well as it goes Nathalie caves in and went out for coffee with Jason and one thing leads to another and BAM she is with him again. Will this time be different? Is there secrets that each person does not want to surface? Will this second chance work? Enjoy the story and find the answers to these questions plus more.

The Reason Why: Breathless SeriesThe Reason Why: Breathless Series by Izzibella Beau
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Reason Why by Izzibella Beau is a story that will stop you in your tracks and make you think and feel. It is a story of life having been upended, a story of growing up and a story of hard choices. It is not the first book I have read by this writer and I think she is a great YA writer that I would recommend to any of high schoolers and teenagers struggling with finding their way.
Alabama’s life has always been close to the edge thanks to her mother’s actions and it culminates with her mom ending up locked up so she gets sent to her mom’s best friend from high school who has 2 sons, Joshua and Hunter. You can only imagine how life might be with them … one of them becomes the best friend and the other one seems to be ignoring her … I believe many of us who are older than the target audience, can still remember the angst and pain and hope and the first love …
I promise that you will cry and laugh and it all feels real and you keep your fingers crossed and hope that everyone finds their happiness. And add to this music and you have a movie running in your mind’s eye. I wish you many pleasurable hours while following in Alabama, Hunter and Joshua’s footsteps!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow, for one thing, can we just appreciate the cover of this book! Something about appealing book covers just make the story even better already, but with that being said for this being my first read from this author I cannot wait to see what else she brings to this series.
I immediately loved our two main characters, Noah & Luna, you could tell from the start that they have a connection and I’m glad it wasn’t a drawn out romance, what they had was real and you could tell how deep and far their feelings go.
I read this book in one sitting and couldn’t put it down, it had romance, passion, action a bit of thriller threaded through the story. Also, with this story, was the emotional, raw and heart-wrenching moments from Luna’s past but even with the emotions that flow through the story, there were some brilliant parts of humour added in, in which at some points had me laughing out loud.
I’m so glad this book was written in dual POV’s as it really gave us an insight to Luna & Noah and what they were really thinking and feeling, to the point you felt apart of the story!

I’m so glad I read this book, I highly recommend it and cannot wait for the next one, do not miss this read!

Bedlam (A Twisted Hearts Love Story Book 1) by Autumn Sand – Review by Birna Bjornsdottir

Bedlam (A Twisted Hearts Love Story, #1)Bedlam by Autumn Sand
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I just finished reading Bedlam (Twisted Hearts Love Story #1), by Autumn Sand.

Anya is an amazing woman, through and through!

She knows what she wants, she is strong, she is smart and she’s a fighter.

Tony is a man of action – he is not shy to go after what he wants – no matter how hard it might be to get it.

Wow! Just WOW! I’m not one for a book that has too many plot twists or *too much* drama – I am very critical at books that have a bit of either.

But this book blew me out of the water – I mean, I devoured it and already got book number 2 in the series.

The chemistry that Anya and Tony have, leaps off the page without being cheap or unbelievable – it is *Oh so right* and it kind of made me jealous just reading about them – that’s how good the writing is!

The plot of this book is off the charts and I loved every minute of it – it has steamy moments, surprises, heartache, suspense and best of all, it has meat on it’s bones (something that I find is often lacking in many books).

I often find supporting characters easy to forget – but Bedlam gave me Tick, Manny and even Magnum – all characters that I could easily read books about.

Bravo Autumn Sand – Bravo! You have a new superfan!

Bedlam by Autumn Sand is part of her Twisted Hearts Love Story Series. This is a stand-alone book although the series as a whole is worth reading.
This book is extremely intense and hard to read in places. The author does a great job of highlighting this as the start and book d navigating her way through it however you should be aware of it before picking up this book.
The characters in this book are amazing. They work together in a way that is just impossible to explain. Their chemistry is undeniable. This book had me utterly enthralled all the way through. And although it was quite a difficult read it was well worth it. I would highly recommend you giving this book a go!

Wild Heart was a great read and a wonderful introduction to a new to me author also. I thought that the story was entertaining and engaging. There was romance, mystery and action all rolled into one story. I really enjoyed reading about Faith and Cole, they were both great characters, I particularly liked Faith – I thought that she was strong, independent and it was nice to find a female lead with these qualities! She wasn’t one to be fawning over man all the time! Both characters were relatable, the author made them feel very real – something I love in a book! I am a bit of a sucker for second chance romance stories and Wild Heart was definitely a wonderful example of this genre.
I would absolutely recommend this story and I will definitely be looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future!

This book takes you on an emotional rollercoaster that makes you unable to put this read down. The characters journey that we follow is engaging and relatable and real. I couldn’t stop turning the pages to find out more of their journey and where the story will go. Little Miss Eyes of Blue by Holly Tierney-Bedord
My rating 4 out of 5 stars

This book is the prequel to The Woman America Loves a Latte. This can be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading both, because there is so much story and information to get from both books. This book shared the story of Veloura’s life growing up and bless her heart she did have it rough.

Her mother is a piece of work and i have nothing good to say about her. I think her dad really did love and care for her, but I wish he would have fought a little more to see her or even have custody. I hate that she had to keep every little good thing that happened to her bottled up and somewhere safe she she would never forget those moments, because they were few and far between.

I kept hoping that Veloura’s school life would help, but the fact that her and her selfish mother moved so many times, it was hard for her to form lasting friendships. The terrible things she goes through in school at the hands of her classmates, and the fact that she still comes out as a smart, yet naive young woman, surprises me and makes me happy. This shows she can continue living the life she wants and she can find happiness no matter what crappy circumstances she was dealt.

Great book and I would definitely recommend reading both this book and The Woman America Loves A Latte.

Bedlam (A Twisted Hearts Love Story, #1)Bedlam by Autumn Sand
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Bedlam – A Twisted Hearts Love Story- by Autumn Sand.
The narrator and heroin of this story is Anaya and she clearly has money as is evident in the first chapter. This is typical of this type of story. She works for a top interior designer in New York. She has the top of the line everything where fashion and accessories are concerned. Automatically, you can see Anaya’s unhappiness with her relationship. Her boyfriends name is Ignacio. He’s never home and he messes around on her. He is the head of a crime family. He took over the title after his father died. His whole demeanor changed, with their relationship quickly following, when he took the “job”.

Anaya grew up in foster care. Both her parents died of Drug Overdoses. She is attached to her boyfriend because hes been the only constant in her life. Anaya only has 1 close friend.

She receives a rare, life changing opportunity to redecorate the hottest club in the tri-state area. While attending her first meeting at this club, she meets a man that makes her hot. Its clear at this point that there will be sex and swearing in this story not suitable for younger eyes. It’s also clear some parts will be funny laugh out loud funny. The man is Tony Delaney. Her new boss. Insert twists here! From that point on, the story reeks of danger every page you turn. Foreshadowing galore. It’s really a great 5 star reads with unforeseen twists and non stop suspense!! 5 stars!!

A great read about money. Paul thinks he has landed the girl of his dreams when he marries Marla. But she is only interested in his money. When he quite a job at a candle factory to become a country music star, he hopes it will bring happiness and love back to their marriage. But all it does is cause further arguments from Marla. Will this save their marriage or make them drift apart?
A great read. Well developed plot. Well developed characters like Paul trying to follow his dream while still being a good father or Veloura as a sweet little kid but also wise. The only issue I would raise is that I felt Marla was too unfeeling and complained too much to be likeable as a character. A good use of a prequel to show how Veloura grew up into the person she is in the first novel.
I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with the candle factory and it’s sights and smells and sounds so vivid as if you were actually there. Or the park where he writes the song with the green grass and the birds and the squirrell for a sense of peace and quiet.
The switch of perspectives worked well to display both sides of the story and was easy to follow with names as chapter titles. I also liked the use of dates and times to show how time progressed and things changed between the characters. I also liked the use of letters in the novel excellent way of showing characters thoughts and feelings and also the feeling of miscommunication. Also loved the sense of foreboding throughout the novel that things may not work out well for the family, given what we know from the first novel which was wonderfully written Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

Another great story from Autumn Sand! She is amazing in how she tells both sides of a story. She give me preconceived notions about a character then when that character gets their story…I am in awe of what has made them how they are today. She breaks them down and build them back up. In the previous book he was Tick. In this book we get to know Dante…another side of him.

Tick..Tick..Tick! How I have come to like you. I like how you got your nickname. I like how you are a strong personality but don’t push all the time. I like how you are with Cyma.

Cyma! You are amazing! I am glad Tick showed up that night and met you. He has become so cute since meeting you. Don’t tell him I said that…he would probably have a coronary.

It’s great spending time with Anaya, Tony and the boys. They have such a great camaraderie between them. Wonderful characters and crazy good story!

My fav line in the story—

“No one is perfect and no one’s life is a fairy tale. We just hope to have those fairy tale moments from time to time. “

This is such a true statement! Whether you are a fictional character or not.

This is ah-mazing! I love this story!! And don’t get me started on the characters! They were all perfect (even the irritating ones). I was easily brought into this story and I basically read it in one day (much to my families discontent). Very hard to put down! Most times I am a “fan” of the male lead but this time it was easily a tie between the to MC.

Cole is one hot hottie with amazing blue eyes! Stuntman, father, rancher, and owns a winery who never forgot his first love. Now he only wants to get her back. An-tic-i-pa-tion! I don’t know whether to say how much I love it or hate it. But boy! It’s so good when things heat up I got tummy flutters. I just want to say Day-um that was one heck of a kiss!

Faith is the perfect character. She has had a rough past and has built a tough exterior with a witchy persona to survive. She has so much room for growth! Even though she is sassy she is soft on the inside…it’s just deep. Will Cole be able to dig deep enough?

I have not read the previous books and I had no problems with this one. It can easily be a stand alone. We do meet many of her friends who I assume were main characters in previous stories. This really pulled my interest into putting those on my TBR.
