Flirty Dancing: A Spicy Romantic Comedy About the Afterlife (The Green Room Chronicles Book 3) by J.D. Frettier – Review by Kerry Baker

Flirty DancingFlirty Dancing by J.D. Frettier
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Flirty Dancing: A Spicy Romantic Comedy About the Afterlife by JD Frettier is the third book in the Green Room Chronicles. This book can be read as a stand-alone although it are introduced to the Green Room from book one.
As with the previous two books this story is highly entertaining. This time it is Kitty who ends up in this delightfully new version of purgatory and is left to navigate her way through this new world. Clearly there are antics and hilarity as she begins her whole new journey.
As usual the authors writing style did its job in grabbing my attention and holding on tight. I always find myself chuckling about something that happened in the book a couple of days later. They are light hearted and fun and are the perfect books to turn to when you need to unwind and switch off from “reality”. I am looking forward to seeing what might be next.

Flirty DancingFlirty Dancing by J.D. Frettier
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Flirty Dancing : A Spicy Romantic Comedy About the Afterlife (The Green Room Chronicles Book 3) by J.D Frettier is a paranormal fantasy that is original and quirky. With plenty of tongue in cheek laugher along the way ensuring it is a magical read. It is witty and funny, and oh so entertaining, just as the first two where. J.D. has certainly written something that is a brilliant concept and made it work so so well. It is as wonderful and clever as it is endearing and the women are just hysterical and had me laughing out loud from start to finish.

Kitty is in the prime of her life with two children and a wonderful husband but all her hope and dreams are no longer a reality. She is now an official member of the Green Room, where she meets the delightful ladies, Dee, Bonnie and Linda, that show her, her new way of life and the fun begins.

This is a fun and quirky look at the afterlife and one brilliant series.

Vantage Point (Gray Ghost #4)Vantage Point by Amy McKinley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Vantage Point by Amy McKinley a four-star read that will point you in the right direction. This is the forth novel in the Gray Ghost series and I have read them in order and enjoyed them as such as they each show a different side of the story. This time its Hawk who is the team member we focus on, and he has more sides in this story that a cube, he is quiet but has so many different ways about him. Each of the Gray Ghost men are amazing, but hawk just seems to be deeper than the others, Stella is a great woman and deserving of a great man.

Reset To One (Paranormal Talent Agency #2)
By Heather Silvio
Rated 4 stars

This is the second in the series and we follow Evie. She’s a vampire actress who we met in the last book. She works with Catherine on getting jobs. There she met Ryan…a human. They hit it off and the rest is history…or is it?

I enjoyed this story. I liked Evie in the first book so I was glad to see her get her own story. Not only that but we get to learn a bit about her and her past. The writing is nice and flows along. The mystery really kept me hooked. This easily kept me interested and before I knew it The story was over. This is my second book by this author and in this series. I see the next one is out…I wonder what’s going to happen in that one.

Devil's Backbone (Wild Beasts Series Book 5)Devil’s Backbone by T. Birmingham
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Devil’s Backbone is the fifth book in the Wild Beasts series by T. Birmingham. This story can be a stand alone story but it is recommended that you read the other books in order. This will give you more insight to the characters and give meaning to what is going on in this particular story. Devil’s Backbone is a paranormal fantasy romance with some mystery mixed into the fold. Tess and Ben are the main characters who are fated mates. Tess has been having some weird scents around here. It is as if she is smelling body parts that is showing up out of nowhere. In the meantime Ben is coming around as well. Ben needs to get Tess to look at him in a different way and not as a bad guy. Another thing about T. Birmingham I love is the way she lays roots that intervenes with the characters which makes me feel closer to Jess and Ben. Will Jess and Ben figure everything out or will it push them apart? Only the book will tell you. .

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this second chance story. The story is creative and well written. The characters made me feel as if I was right there with them. Natalie and Jason had a thing years ago. Then one night she ran into the one person she never expected, Jason. I enjoyed Jason’s determination to convince her to have coffee with him. You would think everything is good but not. They both have pasts and they both have secrets. Will it tear them apart once again? I highly recommend this book

This is my first book by this author, I enjoyed it from beginning to end. It is a well written story that pulled me in right from the beginning. The characters are connectable and true to life, they made me feel as if I was part of the story. Emery has been hurt in the past and has built up walls that she refuses to tear down. Jackson has finally met someone that he can’t be without but will he be able to get to her heart? I didn’t regret picking up this book, I highly recommend it.

Things We Lost (Loving Locksley Book 1)
By: Shae Banks
5 out of 5 stars

The story Things We Lost (Loving Locksley Book 1) by Shae Banks is a contemporary romance book. It is a story about second chances. It pulled me in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had finished the last page. I loved reading about Nathalie Johnson and Jason Locksley. They have a past. He had been her everything. He then broke her heart. When they meet again thirteen years later they are both different, changed, however the attraction/emotions still exist. Will a second chance lead them to happiness? Read this book to find out. I enjoyed the bantering that goes back and forth between Nathalie and Jason. They are characters that I couldn’t help but care for the more I read about them. There are romantic and steamy scenes that will have you reaching for a cold glass of water. My emotions went up and down the entire time I was reading the story as you read their interactions and dialogue. It is a story that I would highly recommend reading.

The story Drawing Bloodlines (The Princeton Allegiant Series Book 1) by Deborah Garland is a wonderful book that includes vampires and romance. I have always loved vampire stories and this one only made me love them more. It pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until I had finished the final page. There are moments when the suspense is high and I was wondering what was going to happen next. There is action, conflict, and danger. I loved reading about the characters of Alexander and Elizabeth. They are amazing to read about and I found myself caring about them with each chapter that I read. Their story is both interesting and intriguing. The story has some steamy moments that make the temperature in the room rise and others that will make you swoon. You can feel the romance, passion, and desire. There are other characters that are introduced that I enjoyed reading about and would love to learn more about them. This is a book I would recommend reading. It is the first story in a series and I look forward to the next one.

The story Abandoned by Love (Shattered Hearts Duet #1) by Aleya Michelle is a book that I once I finished I thought “Wow!” The story is powerful and the characters amazing. The story had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading. There are heartbreaking moments as well as ones that warmed my heart. I loved reading about the characters of Jaxon Mayer and Emily Saunders. As I read the story I couldn’t help but find myself caring about them. These two were sweethearts. They had a deep connection to each other. They were perfect together, soul mates. Then a tragic accident happens. Everything changes. Once I started this book I didn’t want to put it down until the final page. I found myself thinking about it even after I had finished reading. It is a book I would recommend reading. My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Gamble on a Cowboy was a fabulous read! I have read stories by Melissa Keir previously and I knew I loved her writing but I was also really looking forward to reading work by D’Ann Lindun – a new to me author! Well I think I can definitely add her to my new list of authors to love! I have a soft spot for western romance stories and both of these definitely hit the spot!! Both of these novella’s would have been equally as amazing as full length novels – I was impressed with how the authors managed to cram so much into their short stories, I wasn’t left wanting more, well I was only because they were brilliant reads and not because I felt like I was missing anything. I really liked all of the characters, I thought that they were all really likeable and I connected with them all.
I would absolutely recommend these two wonderful short, sweet romance reads, I don’t think you will be disappointed!

Oh my…I loved this story, and this author transported me right into the story and I could clearly picture everything in my mind. I sincerely want to go live and work on this ranch.

I loved the storyline and how that progressed and was handled, I literally read this book in one sitting because I could not put it down once I started. It flowed perfectly and made me smile on more than one occasion. It also hurt my heart in other occasions and I couldn’t imagine how Maggie was able to function as she had, especially when someone from her past walks in the room..Wolf, the main she believes is completely responsible for her sadness in life.

I loved Wolf and thought what he had been through in life was awful as well, even if for different reasons.

This story was so awesome and had a sort of perfect sweetness to it that never felt over the top. I was really sad when it was all over, and the ending was simply spot on. I also can not wait to read many more books by this author, I truly loved her style of writing.

Highly Recommend!

UGH!! This author!! When I finished this book and proceeded to pick my kindle up from where I threw it I could only imagine her sitting there when she finished this book with one of the most evil laughs thinking “Yes..this will do nicely” LOL Marie Skye always has a way of making every book I read by her a favorite. I love her no nonsense approach to writing and the way she never adds in any unneeded fluff, you know every word you read is important to the storyline in one way or the other.

For the record this author is among my favorites of all time and I will always read whatever she comes up with…Im just kind of hoping she comes up with the next book in this duet like maybe Today? OMG!!

I loved this story, I loved the writing and the uniqueness of the storyline and the time hops were done in a way that allowed me to never get confused, they actually always came right when I needed them. I read this in one sitting and since it has been awhile since I’ve read one of this authors books it made me want to jump back in to all of them and reread.

It goes without saying I can not wait for the next in this series and will be the first in line the second it is released.

LOVED IT!!

The Woman America Loves a Latte by Holly Tierney-Bedford – Review by Sarah Oakes

The Woman America Loves a LatteThe Woman America Loves a Latte by Holly Tierney-Bedord
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A great read about reinvention. Veloura is a young woman from a troubled past and an angry ex fiancé. When her friend gtes her a chance at a job for a coffee shop, she umps at the chance. Claiming to be Vienna Merriweather, she gets the job without any clue to what the role is. Going for it, she finds herself on a wonderful adventure of new opportunities. But when the past rears its head, it threatens this new life. Can you ever escape your past?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Veloura ambitious but not believing in herself or Suzie as a fun friend but also kind and loving. Great acst of supporting characters like the supportive boss Dwight or the over helpful Tommy or the kind Caprice. A great villainous figure in Thunder as vindictive but his petty complaints and strange plans made him across a little melodramatic which could be toned down to make a great character,
I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with the interview in the large room with the desk and Velouras black tap shoes and colourful clothes contrasting with the pale room perfectly and a realistic and funny depiction of an interview. Or the TV show later on with its bright lights full of life and people and excitement. Or the landscape around her with its rolling hills and wide roads with the little red coffee cup car for a sense of adventure wonderfully written.
I also liked the use of dates and times in chapter titles for the sense of a fast paced novel.
Veloura’s reminiscences about her mother were written well and emotive and didn’t dsitarct from the narrative of the present. The switch of perspectives worked well to display the different points of view and was easy to follow with names in chapter titles to make it clear who had the narrative. However, it felt like there were too many of these to keep track of. Perhaps if this was reduced to ust four like Thunder, Vee, Eugene and perhaps Suzie this would keep the reader engaged. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

Devil’s Backbone (Wild Beasts Series Book 5)
By T. Birmingham

Devil’s Backbone is the fifth book in the Wild Beasts series by T. Birmingham. Ok so far this has been an awesome series, but on saying that I don’t think this book is as good as what the others have been. Probably needed a little more interaction with the characters of the book. However, I did like the main characters in this book. So, this book centres around Ben and Tess.
Ben:
Is the strong one that sees it as his thing to keep everyone together. But what is going on that he now starts to feel rather unsettled? There are missing people and their cases are popping up constantly.
Tess:
Has been hiding from other people for as long as she can remember, these people were meant to be the ones that loved her. So, because of the life she has led she turns to books for comfort.
As with the other books in this series there is a lot action, but like I mentioned before with more interaction between the characters, I feel the storyline would have been better. However, you would be crazy if you miss this series.

The story Flirty Dancing: A Spicy Romantic Comedy About the Afterlife (The Green Room Chronicles Book 3) by JD Frettier is a book that I loved reading. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. She has found herself in The Green Room. It is here that she has new experiences and finds friendship. She also has a wish, to reconnect with the love of her life. Will Kitty succeed? Read this book to find out. Kitty is a character that I found myself rooting for. I enjoyed that some of the characters from the previous stories also make an appearance. Don’t miss out on a book that had me trying not to fall off the couch laughing and also had moments that warmed my heart. Highly recommended reading.

The story Reset to One (Paranormal Talent Agency Book 2) by Heather Silvio is a book that I loved reading. It has romance, the paranormal, and mystery. It was a fun story to read. I loved reading about the characters of Evie Jones and Ryan Walter. He is insistent that his best friend is being framed for murder. She has agreed to help him investigate. The appearance of her ex-husband is an unexpected complication. Will Ryan and Evie solve the murders? There is an attraction that is growing between Evie and Ryan. What does the future hold for them? Read this book to find out. This story is suspenseful and had me wondering what was going to happen next. It has characters that are brought forward from the first book. Evie and Ryan are characters that I found myself rooting for and wanted them to succeed in their investigation. I also couldn’t help but want them to find happiness. I enjoyed how the book combines both the paranormal and human world. Don’t miss out on a story that you won’t be able to put down until you finish the last page. Highly recommended.

By Laurie Lewis

Love on The Line by Laurie Lewis is somewhat the conclusion of Matt and Mikaela’s story, I say somewhat because I feel there could be more written about these two wonderful characters. Now if you read Love on a Limb and cried your way through the book, then you need to go grab the tissues again, as you are going to go on another roller coaster of emotions. Love on the Line continues just wonderful from Love on a Limb, although I did go read the last chapter of Love on a Limb just to give me a memory boost before I started this wonderful story. You will also remember from book one that Matt saw no need to marry for love. Did he change his mind on love? If want a new author, check out Laurie and then you might as well get Love on a Limb and Love on the Line and read two of the most beautiful books, that will make you laugh, cry and maybe a little mad at times.

Pandora’s Price is the third book in the Hart & Cole series by Sacha T.Y. Fortune. Pandora’s Price is also the last part of Darren and Luisa’s story. I have to say that this is so well written that the book just seems to flow nicely. There are parts of this book where it seems so much is happening that I found it a little over whelming but that may have been just me at that moment. You really need to read the first two books, the background on the main characters I feel is important. This is an awesome series and its one of them series where the storylines just seem to get better. Can’t wait to see what happens in the series next.

Abandoned by Love: Book 1 in the Shattered Hearts Duet by Aleya Michelle – Review by Heather Lovelace

Abandoned by Love (Shattered Hearts Duet, #1)Abandoned by Love by Aleya Michelle
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A very solid and engaging romance from start to finish. Sometimes good romance still lends itself to the predictable paces found in many stories. This book did indeed have some expected moments occur as anticipated. But that didn’t detract from the storyline. In some ways it only enhanced the credibility of this story. This emotionally charged tale left me wanting me and anxiously awaiting the next book in the series. Strong characters, solid plot, romance – I truly enjoyed this book.

LOVE on the LINE, A Great Expectations Love Story: The Graykens, Book 2 by Laurie Lewis
5 stars

What a beautiful sequel to Love on a Limb! I was so emotionally invested in Matt and Mikaela, and was so happy to see this book.
I couldn’t get enough of this book, and everyone involved in this story. Despite the subject matter, which hits close to home, it was such a great story. You feel every emotion, every situation, and that shows what a great gift this author has. After I finished this book, I had to take a break before writing this review as I just had to get my thoughts together to do this story justice, but that’s impossible.
Must read, highly recommend.

Me and Cinderella (The Dirty Rooster Book 2) by Kelly Mooney – Review by Liz Vrchota

Me and Cinderella (The Dirty Rooster #2)Me and Cinderella by Kelly Mooney
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Yay! I was so excited with how well this book turned out! I must confess I really was nervous going into it. I wasn’t a huge fan of the first one in the Dirty Rooster series but I was completely drawn into it enough that I had to come back to see how things would evolve and if they would grow because I could see where it could. Yes it did!! I truly enjoyed this story. Kelly Mooney managed to take a fresh twist to the modern day Cinderfella story idea and I couldn’t get enough. From the moment I first began reading about Eli and Remi I knew they would be one of my favorite couples of the year that I have read. I can’t wait to find out what will come next in the Dirty Rooster series!

Flirty Dancing: A Spicy Romantic Comedy About the Afterlife (The Green Room Chronicles Book 3) by J.D. Frettier – Review by Liz Vrchota

Flirty DancingFlirty Dancing by J.D. Frettier
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Flirty Dancing is the latest installment in the Green Room Chronicles from JD Frettier and I loved every single second of it! Being the third novella in the series I knew a bit of what to expect and still was taken by surprise several moments along Kitty’s journey. In Flirty Dancing we are once again following a sad soul that has landed in the Green Room, or a hilarious purgatory, and this one Is Kitty Eatin’s tale. Kitty just seemed to have the life she wanted when she found herself her and now she really wants to find a way to be there for her family even though she is no longer alive. Will the gals and the specialists in the Green Room be able to help Kitty out? You will definitely want to see what happens, and if you haven’t checked out the rest of the novels make sure you do while we wait and see what will come next in Green Room Chronicles from JD Frettier.

Seraphina’s Revolution (The Seraphina Series Book 4) by Sheena Hutchinson – Review by Michelle Austin

Seraphina's Revolution (Seraphina #4)Seraphina’s Revolution by Sheena Hutchinson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Seraphina’s Revolution was a great 5 star read and book 4 in the Seraphina series.
I was excited to read how the last book in the series was going to play out and I wasn’t disappointed.

Seraphina has some amazing powers in this book. Things get a little darker as well. Nate is there as a support for Seraphina, sort of an anchor for her. But will he always be there? What will happen when war starts?

There is so much more to this book that I really can’t give much more, without ruining it for the reader. We have on the edge of your seat action and a heck of an ending that will leave you in shambles. The secondary characters added a great element to the story as well. This series really needs to be read in order so that you can follow the story from the beginning. This is a must read series that follows and grows with Seraphina. 1-click and get started right away.
