Flesh and Bone (Blood of Kaos Book 3) Nesa Miller is a great paranormal fantasy story that keeps you captivated with its action and drama, adventure and danger. I highly recommend reading the other two books in this series before this one, as you will have a better understanding of who the characters are and what makes them who they are now. Nesa weaves a tale that is magical and the world is easily imaginable with it’s paranormal and fantasy elements. The characters are interesting and fully developed beings and you can feel their pain and angst, loss and sadness, heartache and heartbreak, as we journey along with them. There is mystique and mystery, twists and turns, and bonds and love like no others.
The pages kept turning because I had to know what was coming and now I have to wait for the next book because the ending OMG…………..

Me and Cinderella (The Dirty Rooster Book 2) By Kelly Mooney is a contemporary romance story that captivating and quite emotional. Kelly has a way of drawing you in to her stories with her words and makes it so easy to get lost in the story and forget the world around you. I loved the characters, some of whom are in the first book, they are complex and have depth and makes it hard not to feel for them. The story is full of angst and heartbreak, sorrow and hurt but it is also full of wonder and love, strength and uncertainty, trust and there is also humorous banter which is much needed with this type of story and makes you laugh. He is from the wrong side of the tracks. His past continues to haunt him. He left behind the one person he loved. But he had to find himself, he had to not let his past define him. Now he is back to ensure his brothers future but by being back he is faced with so much from his past. He is the protector who will do anything for his family and the ones he loves.
Remy is the little rich girl who is so much more than her money suggests but she is ruled by an iron thumb when it comes to her parents. Even though it is her big day, she cannot help but think about the one man who stole her heart as a young girl.
The story is well written and well-paced and I highly recommend it.

Reset to One (Paranormal Talent Agency Book 2) by Heather Silvio is another wonder addition to this quirky paranormal romance story. They are unique and fun and original. They are quick reads but they pack a punch. It is a mystery and the characters intermingle from story to story. Heather has cleverly mastered this genre and has provided stories that you just don’t want to put down and always adds a little twist.
Evie has been around a long time and has trust issues but she has a soft spot for humans, especially the one who just popped into her life. When his best friend is arrested Evie decides to help catch a killer and bring to light the truth but the truth maybe just too much for him to handle.
I look forward to more great stories in this series.

The story Lies Come True (The Avery Hart Trilogy Book 1) by Emerald O’Brien is a book that I loved reading. It is a story that has mystery and suspense. There are times when reading I was on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. It is a book that hooked me in and didn’t let me go until I had read the final page. This police procedural takes you on a journey that you will not soon forget. I enjoyed reading about the characters of Avery Hart and Noah Cotter. Avery escaped death ten years ago. Was her attack then and a more recent one linked? Noah is a new inspector who is curious about the case and also attracted to Avery. What will Noah find in his search for the truth? Read this book to find out what happens. I enjoyed the description of the police investigation that takes place and felt like I was trying to solve a puzzle. There is intense dialogue. Avery is a character that is likeable and one you can relate to. She at times feels like an outcast and I could empathize and sympathize with what she goes through. Noah feels the need to protect Avery. There are additional characters that are introduced and some of them I really enjoyed reading about. Others I found myself questioning their motives and actions. Don’t miss out on a thrilling story that will have your heart pounding. I would recommend reading it. This is the first book in a trilogy and I look forward to reading the next one.

The story Heart of Stone ~ Book 1: Emery & Jackson (Heart of Stone Book 1 (Emery&Jackson)) by Chiquita Dennie is a book that I enjoyed reading. It drew me in from the beginning and I was hooked. I loved reading about the characters of Emery Stone and Jackson Pierce. Emery is a woman who feels the need to be in control. Her heart has been broken by a cheating ex-boyfriend. Relationships and commitment are no longer for her. Jackson is attracted to Emery from the start. She makes him feel different than others have. Now all he has to do is win over her heart and stop pushing him away. What does the future hold for Jackson and Emery? Will they find happiness or will obstacles come between them? Read this book to find out. I could feel deep emotions that both Jackson and Emery have. They are characters that I grew to care about and I found myself rooting for them to find happiness. There are steamy moments that will have you reaching for a cold glass of water. There are also several secondary characters that are wonderful to read about. I enjoyed the bonds that many of them and Emery have. This is a wonderful romance story that you don’t want to miss out on. I would recommend reading it.

This fast page turner was just what the doctor ordered. Cowboys and romance – yes please! Thoroughly enjoyed these two short stories from the authors and felt they were well written and paired together well. All in all I only found myself disappointed that each story wasn’t longer. Very enjoyable.

This paranormal fantasy wasn’t what I expected at all. Although I’m not I could tell you what I expected. Extremely well written, I jumped into this series blind not having read the previous installments yet found myself enthralled at the action that unfolded before me. I did not feel at a disadvantage for reading this as a stand-alone. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the rest of the series.

What a good book. From start to finish the characters jumped off the pages and into my heart. It was an emotion filled read that kept me turning pages as fast as I could read them. I loved Alabama and finding out how things would end up for her.
Stunning, breathtaking, and brilliant. Just a few, and I mean few, of the many words that flow through my mind as I am reading any of the Hart & Cole novels. Pandora’s Price is the third in the series and I would not, do not, please don’t read these books out of order. This is an intricate and in depth story of relationships and marriage, love and heartbreak. There is layers upon layers that just can’t be understood unless they are read in order, let alone enjoyed properly. I won’t go into detail on what this book delves into because I don’t want to spoil anything but it does continue from where we left off in book two with Darren and Luisa. Just when I thought the story couldn’t possibly get more intense I was wrong! I can’t wait to find out what will come next in book four! I have a feeling it will be phenomenal.

This story is right in my wheelhouse. Romance, best friends, best friend’s sexy brother, angst and self-discovery. From the first page to the last, I read the book in one sitting. At 99% I was worried that it would be a cliffhanger, but it’s all wrapped up quickly and satisfactorily.
The characters had depth and the family dynamics were equally disfunctional for both protagonists. It was a well balanced story told in dual POV.
I’m looking forward to reading the sisters story next. I am whole heartedly invested in these characters.

Taming the Troublemaker was a good 4 star read and is book 3 in the Hills of Texas series. I was pulled right in and didn’t want to stop until I was done.
This is Autry and Beth’s story. Autry is a cowboy who has a playboy reputation and doesn’t commit to anyone. That is, until he meets Beth. Beth is a school teacher who has gotten Autry’s attention.
Could she cause him to lose the agreement that he has made with his parents?
Beth isn’t the usual girl that Autry is attracted to. She has always had issues with her sisters always getting the boys, including her boyfriends. She has always had a little thing for Autry and when he starts to show interest things get very interesting. She doesn’t make it easy for him, I had some LOL moments.
Overall I really enjoyed this read. I really liked Beth and loved how she would banter with Autry. The secondary characters added a great element to the story as well. Kadie Scott does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. You will enjoy it, this can be read as a stand alone as well. 1-click and get started today.

Flesh and Bone (Blood of Kaos Series, Book III) by Nesa Miller was a dark, intense, outstanding read, that had me flipping the pages.
So I’ll be real with you, I didn’t know this was the third book when I picked it up, and I did feel like I miss something major. But, with the way this book is written, it pulled me in, and before I knew it, it didn’t matter that I miss that major event in the last book, instead I actually enjoy this book that much more, because of that missing piece.
The opening hooked me, dark, intense, and wow, like I’m still trying to piece my thoughts together. I don’t even what to give you a review because you really need to experience this book for yourself. It has everything that I love about dark epic fantasies. Drama, complexity, action, magic and pure utter epic battles. For those that have read the other books, you will not be disappointed in this instalment. If you’re like me, don’t be, and read the other books. Something in which I have to do myself, because I really need to read that last scene, in the last book, because, wow, like I can’t even right now.
Overall if you haven’t guessed this book gets my super high recommendation and my golden stamp of approval.

FORTITUDE by Carrie Daley is a five star novel. I love historical fiction. I love how I can learn about different parts of our history while I still can enjoy a story of someone who might have actually existed. Claire decides that she needs a change and wants to follow her best friend to be a nurse for the Spanish American war. After arriving, she realizes she has been stationed at the black camp. Many people at the time do not want to work there or even be sent there because of the racial tensions. Claire, on the other hand, could care less. She enjoys helping people and could care less who it is she is helping. When she falls in love, she has many decisions to make. This story is heart wrenching and loveable.
Spar by Randi Perrin was a complex, engaging, contemporary romance that had me hooked.
My first read from this author, I didn’t know what I was getting into, but with the raving reviews and the intriguing synopsis I dove in, and I’m glad I gave this book a chance. Short but fast, Randi Perrin really knew how to stack this book with a complex plot, complex characters and not fall into the trap of filling in space just for the sake of filling space. I am impressed, and I will be checking out more from this author.
As this book is more on the novella side with 170 pages, I’m not going to give anything away. But I am going to tell you that this book, is worth your time, energy and money. The MC’s are, as I have said, complex. They felt realistic, solid and just, wow, sometimes there’s no other words. Strong, isn’t the word for our female lead. My heart aches for her, and when you read this book you will understand why she’s so strong and resilient.
Overall this book is, as I have said, a must read. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will fall into this story, it’s easy flow, and before you know it, you’ll have it finished and longing for more.
Reset to One by Heather Silvio is the second book in the Paranormal Talent Agency. This can be read as a standalone story but I think would be greater enjoyed in order. This book follows Evie, a 1920’s era vampire, who has been brought into a murder mystery. I love that she embraces her 1920’s look in the current day but with a current twist. This is a fun book that had me laughing and also intrigued by the mystery. This has Vegas and paranormal all in one, as if Vegas wasn’t crazy enough on it’s own. The characters are fun and interesting. I like that there are humans, vampires, and more in this series. Also, adding in the movie element adds another fun element. I look forward to more in this series.

Love on the Line is the second book in the Great Expectations Love Stories: The Graykens by Laurie L.C. Lewis. This books begins where the first book left off, so if you haven’t read Love on a Limb, you should definitely read that book first. Both books were really emotional reads for me. Love on the Line brings back Matt and Mikaela, learning to deal with Matt continued health issues and feelings of guilt as a survivor. This book had me bawling as the issues hit close to home for me. I really enjoyed the storyline and even my emotional upheaval. This book had me hooked from the very first page and I couldn’t put it down until I read the last. This is such a great series and I’m kind of hoping it continues.

This is the second book in this series but it is a definite stand alone. I was confused at the beginning trying to put them all with the characters of the last book. It didn’t fit. But as time went by I became engrossed in these new characters with Eli and I ended up loving the book. There was so much give and take throughout. It had high-highs and Low-lows. The story moved along at a brisk pace. When the MC’s finally get together I can’t help but think wildest dreams. Remy’s Wildest dream comes true…can you imagine? I am so so glad the author wrote how blown away Remy was when she was with Eli. That really made it more believable and enjoyable. There are many many lines that are so…so amazing. Eli is really the sweetest. One of my favorite lines is when Eli is speaking to Remy:
“I’ve always liked me better when I’m around you”
Who wouldn’t want someone to say that to them?
This is a great story! A second time author for me. I look forward to reading the next in the series.

Rafferty by A.S. Robert’s is the second book in the Default Distraction series. It took me a minute to remember all of the characters from the last book since it had been a while, but once I did it was like I was with a group of friends.
Rafferty and Lauren had an amazingly deep love at a very young age and knew they were it for each other. Things happen and several years later they reconnected. So much of both of their lives are different but one thing that hasn’t changed is the way they feel about one another no matter how much in denial one can be.
I loved Brody’s story which runs concurrently with this story but there was something intense with Raff and Lauren.
This could be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading the first book before getting to this one. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Flirty Dancing: A Spicy Romantic Comedy about the Afterlife is the 3rd book in the Green Room Chronicles series by JD Frettier. While it can be read as a stand alone book, they series complement each other and have overlapping characters. They are all short and easy to read, and are funny and entertaining. The series focuses on what happens in the afterlife, with this book specifically focused on Kitty. Kitty is a young mom, recently remarried to the love of her life.She is finally at a good place, owns her own business, when she dies on her stripper pole. She finds herself in the Green Room, purgatory, and is taken under the wing of the main characters from book 1 and 2, Bonnie, Dee and Linda, along with some new characters. With their help, she returns to earth to plan the birthday present of a lifetime to her husband Sam. I recommend this series to anyone who is not easily offended. It is hilariously entertaining.

Little Miss Eyes of Blue by Holly Tierney-Bedord is a prequel to the stand alone book called The Woman America Loves a Latte. Veloura’s parents are Paul and Marla and the story starts out with how they met and married. Paul’s family was not fond of her and never showed to the wedding. Paul wants to make it in the country music scene and fails until he writes a song about his daughter called “Little Miss Eyes of Blue” The family goes on vacation to celebrate and this is where Marla finds drugs and starts the downfall of this little family. Paul finds and falls in love with a younger woman, and disappears. Marla doesn’t raise her daughter well and has a trail of loser men around Veloura. She learns her father died and finally her mother gets help for her addiction but Veloura still finds herself judged for the mistakes of her parents. As her life can’t seem to get worse she learns that her mother died from an overdose. As the book comes to an end we see that Veloura also will make the same mistakes as he mother when it comes to her love life. The book was hard to read as the life that Veloura was handed was a rough one for a child. She was not given a life that would show her to be a decent person and didn’t bring anyone into her life to show her the right path. My heart broke for her and I wanted to get inside this book and smack her parents. I read the book The Woman who America loves Latte and I am glad that is how I read it. I enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend it!

The Woman who America loves Latte by Holly Tierney-Bedord is a FUN read to get lost in. Veloura hasn’t always had an easy live and has followed her into adulthood. She was settling so much less then she deserves. Almost accidently, Veloura lands a job that allows her to be a spokesperson for a coffee chain and allowing her to travel around the country. Her future could be so lively but her dark past seems to follow her no matter where she goes. Holly has given us an amazing story with amazing characters. Each character introduced whether big or small was complex and always made the story that much interesting. The book gives you drama, suspense, and intrigue that really draws you in which as A READER I find very important in any good book. I give this book 5 stars and so look forward to reading more from this amazing author!!
Drawing Bloodlines by Deborah Garland was simply phenomenal! This is the first book in her paranormal series, The Princeton Allegiant. This isn’t my first book by this author but it’s definitely my favorite!
I completely devoured this book, I read it in record speed as I was so captivated by the storyline that I couldn’t bring myself to stop! This storyline is intense, addicting, detailed, action-packed, aromatic, romantic and so perfectly steamy! I loved everything about it!
I can’t wait to read more from this author, and I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for their next paranormal read!

Taming the Troublemaker by Kadie Scott is a phenomenal romance read! It’s the third book in the Hills of Texas series, a series that can be read as a standalone, however, I would recommend reading them in order as each new book of the series is somehow better than the first!
Autry and Beth’s story is sweet, romantic, emotional and perfectly steamy! I loved everything about their story, and I loved the flow, there was always something going on that kept me highly entertained.
I can’t wait to read more from this author, and I would absolutely recommend this series to anyone looking for their next romance read!

Drawing Bloodlines is Book 1 in The Princeton Allegiant Series a new series by author Deborah Garland. This is my first read from this author and after experiencing this read, it most certainly will not be my last. I would love to read more from this author whether that’s other books or more from this series, I can’t wait to see where she takes it!
Its been a while since I read a vampire read, and boy this didn’t disappoint. It has elements of what you already have read or know about vampires, but it also has its own spin and take on the Vampire world. To me, this book was a mentally visual read! I loved the characters, the storyline and even the twists that are thrown at you along the way. This book was captivating, thrilling and entrancing from the beginning until the very end. I absolutely loved Alexander – he was everything and more, I could totally understand the impact he was having on Elizabeth as he made an impact on me. This book has elements of danger, action, romance, steaminess and pure passion. This was an excellent read from start to finish, it flowed effortlessly from chapter to chapter and from each being in dual POV’s. I loved that we got to experience what our main characters were really thinking and feeling, it made you understand them more and then, in turn, love them even more. I’m so glad I got to experience this read, and enjoy following Elizabeth & Alexander’s journey to what I hope will be the Happily Ever After they both deserve.
I can’t wait to see what else this author bring to this series, but until then do not miss this read!

Heart of Stone: Book #1: Emery & Jackson is the first book in the Heart of Stone Series by Chiquita Dennie. Ms. Dennie is a ‘new-to-me’ author, so I was looking forward to reading her story and seeing what it was like. It is a contemporary romance that had drama, funny moments, chemistry, and passion. Emery caught her (ex) boyfriend in bed with her best friend. Double betrayal! She’s very hurt. But she also wants to put it all behind her, as she has a ‘secret’ that she needs to deal with. She’s definitely not interested in relationships- no-strings hook-ups will suit her just fine. But, will a persuasive, sexy, wealthy, alpha-type male be able to change her stone cold opinion, get her to let down her defences, and to take a chance on love again? You really need to read this book to discover all the sexy details for yourself. Good character development, interesting characters with quirky personalities. I loved Granny! Jackson is alpha-male swooniness!! Emery is all woman, and is perfect for Jackson. Minor issue- some of the sex scenes were a little awkward for me, the descriptive words seemed a little old fashioned, or out of place. (eg: …”her juices bury(?) my c**k as we slowly rock back and forth….”). Maybe it’s just me? Looking forward to seeing what’s in store for Jordan & Damon in Book #2.

Vantage Point is the fourth book in the Gray Ghosts series by Amy McKinley. It is Hawk Ares and Stella Klein’s story- and is a fantastic, adrenaline fueled, action packed romantic suspense. It has drama, violence, gunfights, showdowns, grudge matches, hidden agendas, suspense, mystery, twists, intrigue, danger, gripping situations, thrills, and plenty of emotion. I was on the edge of my seat the whole way through, devouring the pages to discover what was happening, holding my breath, and being catapulted from one intense moment right into another. I won’t go into detail, because I really don’t want to spoil it for you. I recommend going in ‘blind’ and getting swept up by all the excitement. I was hooked from the beginning- caught up in all the action, thrills and danger- right there with the character’s experiencing everything alongside them. I adore this series, everything about it- Ms. McKinley out does herself every time, with each new release even better than the one before it. This could be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading the rest of the series to get all the backstories, character information, and other pertinent details. As well as the other books being fantastic stories in their own rights! You can’t go wrong with Ms. McKinley at the wheel! Can’t wait to read the next book!!!!

Broken Pieces is the debut novel by Judith B. Pinkard. It is a somewhat harrowing biography- and was thought-provoking, heartbreaking, and entirely memorable. There were parts that were quite emotional- my heart broke for her. The authors account covers her life’s journey- from her miraculous beginnings, through her unsettled childhood, dysfunctional family environment, abandonment, insecurities, turmoil, pain, mental illness, hope, faith, second chances, choices, and much more.
“Choices. Life is all about choices. Some are other people’s, and some yours, but a choice is always involved. The wrong choice can change the course of your life forever. Like tornadoes, the wrong choice may occur unexpectedly and be devastating.”
I wasn’t sure if I would ‘like’ this book when I picked it up, I thought it would be far too sad and depressing- and don’t get me wrong, there are parts of the story that ARE very sad, and quite depressing- but it was the thread of faith and hope that really ‘lifts’ this story- giving it a redeeming and inspirational quality.

The quotes at the beginning of each chapter helped to set the tone for the chapter, and added to the overall storyline. There were gory details, heart-stopping and quite shocking moments- but these moments helped to set the scene and the ‘miracle’ that happened amongst the devastation. The photos at the end certainly cemented the whole story.

Things We Lost is the first book in the Loving Locksley Series by Shae Banks. This is my first book by Ms. Banks, so I really didn’t know what to expect when I started the story. The book had shown up on my recommended book feed, and I thought the synopsis sounded interesting, so I one-clicked and jumped in. This is a contemporary/second chance romance- and is a quick and easy read. Nathalie Johnson is on a ‘girls-night-out’ with her friend, when she encounters the man who left without so much as a backward glance and a broken heart 13 years ago- Jason Locksley. Much has happened in that time, but it still stings a little and she’s still wary of him. There are unresolved issues between them. But he’s nothing but persistent and manages to convince her to have coffee with him anyway. But persistence and determination win out and as you have probably guessed by now, he gets his second chance. But do they really have a chance of making things work after all this time? Will some misunderstandings tear them apart again? This was a sweet story. Ms. Banks used a tried and tested formula for her story, and wrote quite well- I just found it to be a little predictable- and it didn’t really WOW me like I was hoping for. I am looking forward to exploring some of Ms. Banks other works to see what else she can do.
