The Protector: MAC: A Cover Six Security Novel by Lisa B. Kamps is is a book that is fast paced and high energy from start to finish. It can be read as a stand-alone although you should be aware that this does follow on from an earlier novella. This book is amazing. It has off the charts chemistry, edge of your seat action and swoon worthy romance. This author is one that really knows how to tell a story and to get you, as the author, fully engaged. As always this was a great book and clearly the start of a great series.

Lights, Camera, Action by Heather Silvio is the first book in the Paranormal Talent Agency series. This book is a fun, fast paced story that is easy to lose yourself in. For me I loved that this book was overly complicated. It was a great simple “who-dunnit” story. It felt like recently all I have read are books with complex stories so it was brilliantly refreshing to be able to pick this book up and lose myself for a few hours in these characters and the story. This is a new author to me and I very much enjoyed how she writes. I am looking forward to reading the rest of this series.
5-stars The Slip Series is a compilation of three scandalous novels. Each is connected to one another through the characters but can also be read as a standalone. They are scandalous, funny, exciting, and romantic. Each story is an easy and quick read. The storyline for each flows easily and I had a hard time putting it down. Such an excellent read!

Vantage Point is the 4th book in the Gray Ghost series by Amy McKinley. There is also a prequel to this series ‘Moments That Define Us’ that is most definitely worth reading if you are going to read this series, as it really does provide an insight into the lives of the Gray Ghost team as teenagers and why they have the close bond that they do. Each of the books in this series can be read as a stand-alone but as this is such a great series, I would recommend reading the whole series and also reading it in order as you do get an insight into characters from the other books. In Vantage Point we get the story of Hawk Ares. Hawk is the quietest member of the team. As a sniper he is usually found on roofs scoping out situations. When he overhears alarming arguments between his sexy new neighbour, (who he has nicknamed Red due to the colour of her hair) and a man he knows she’s in danger and needs the help of the Gray Ghost team. Hot headed red head, Stella Klein discovers that her life is in danger when her brother gets in over his head with gambling debts. Having turned down hot neighbour Hawk’s offer of help several times, she gives in and asks for help. Little did Hawk and the rest of the Gray Ghost team realise that those who are after Stella are a blast from their past who are out for revenge. Like the previous books in this series this is a romantic thriller. This book had me gripped from the very beginning right to the end. Amy McKinley has an amazing way of dragging you into the story and becoming really invested in the characters. This book, like the rest of the series is a must read in my opinion. As the Gray Ghost group is more than just the 4 members we have had books from so far, I’m hoping that there is still much more to come from this fantastic series.

Great book. This book is so sweet and sexy with a great story line. The characters are all fantastically loveable.
Preston is a grade A douchebag when it comes to the ladies. I figured when we first meet him he would be a player. I love that when he meet Summer and she continually denies him, he starts to realize he can love one woman. Summer is such a sweetheart, and I love the way she works hard for what she has. She is strong, especially in pushing away Preston who continuously lies to her.
Preston has life altering circumstances arise and Summer is thrown all of Preston’s truths at once, causing a devastating rift between the two. I recommend reading to see what happens between these two young lovers. The secondary characters of Jenny, Summer’s best friend as well as Eli and Chase, Preston’s best friends make for added drama and depth to the story.

A great read about love. Maelan is a warchief who loves his granddaughter Orlagh dearly despite her stubborness. When a travelling bard and his troupe come to their village, their simple lives are turned upside down. Desperate to escape a marriage, Orlagh follows her heart. But how far can you go for love? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that j just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Orlagh standing up for herself but also vulnerable underneath or Maelan struggled between love and duty as a devoted grandfather. Great cast of supporting characters like the funny Eogan or the wise and sweet Eolande or the mother figure of Yana. I loved the visual detail throughout the book like in the sense of nature like the sunrise in the dew by the stones for a sense of magic and wonder that takes your breath away. Or the little purple and blue flowers bright and bold and vibrant against the dark greens of the forest beautifully written. And also in the bright colours of the dresses of Yana and Temuirr with the spring and autumn reds and blues and oranges bright and beautiful. The switch of narratives between Maelan and Orlagh worked well to display both sides of events and was easy to follow. I loved the use of the Irish names and places and pronounciations was a lovely touch and added to the feel of the ancient world. This combined with the use of myths and stories made for a captivating read. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.

This was such a wonderful read! I definitely had some preconceived ideas about what I thought this story would be about and I’m so glad I was wrong! It really was a fantastic book! I haven’t read anything by this author before but I absolutely cannot wait to read the next book in the series already! I like paranormal reads, I love romance stories and I love a bit of suspense in my books too so to have all three rolled into one I knew I was on to a winner! From the very beginning to last sentence I was hooked by this story. This authors writing was engaging and entertaining. I suppose there were parts of the story that were predictable but I didn’t care at all. I really liked the characters Catherine and Alex. Catherine was a bright and bubbly character that I couldn’t help but like straight away and I may have a little crush on Alex! The story is told form Catherine’s POV but I have to say I maybe would have liked to see a little bit from Alex too, just a few chapters thrown in here and there but saying that I still loved the story anyway! As I mentioned before I am really looking forward to the next books in the series and I absolutely recommend this book – it is a short, fun and entertaining read!!

I fell in love with Matt and Mikaela’s story in Love on a Limb. I was a little apprehensive when I heard there would be a part two. This book surpassed my expectations. Matt originally married Mikaela for convenience. She was to be his voice while he died of cancer. Unexpectedly falling in love with each other, Mikaela gave him something to fight for. This book is about his fight to stay alive and that you must believe in miracles, especially during the darkest days.
“Don’t let your happiness depend on the amount of time you have but on the quality of the love you give.”
This was a hard lesson for Matt to learn. He kept reliving his past mistakes and regretting a future that he would never see. He was missing everything in his present. Once he accepted his present, his fight became easier mentally. Everything is mind over matter. You need to have a good outlook if you want to survive.

The author didn’t sugarcoat anything in this book. She showed the reality of what someone goes through from the treatments to infections and setbacks, the feelings of guilt, despair and hopelessness to the victory of walking across the room unaided. For someone like me, who has luckily never experienced this, it showed me the harsh reality. My heart breaks for anyone going through this. There were several times that I had to stop reading because I couldn’t stop crying.
I truly believe that if you stand by each other, especially in bad times, and when love is on the line that you choose each other; then everything will work out fine. Thank you Ms. Lewis for sharing Matt and Mikaela’s ups and downs. It is truly an exceptional story which shows what love and faith can get you through.

This was my first book by this author and it’s also the first in this series…I loved it!! I had a really hard time putting it down when real life interrupted.
The beginning of this book had me holding my breath almost literally..Holy Moly what a start..I could tell there was a bit of history I didn’t have between Mac and TR and found out that there is a prequel and I can’t wait to read that one now as well. Mac was an ultimate leading man and I loved his alpha side, but I also loved the challenge that TR posed proving she wasn’t this weak little thing that let people walk all over her.
I loved that this book had everything from danger to suspense to little twists and turns placed perfectly. The storyline was awesome, smooth and easy to follow. I loved the other guys in Cover Six and hope this series includes every one of them. So look forward to reading the next, I fell in love with Daryl in this story.

This is a great addition to the paranormal genre. It was everything I expected it to be, cute, entertaining and just different enough that I didn’t feel as though I was reading a book I have read several times before. This being the first book of the series, did a great job setting me up for what I imagine will be a great joy ride. As a big fan of this genre I fully appreciate that writers are expanding the supernatural community and making themselves stand out, which I don’t think is too easy. Heather Silvio sucked me in from the beginning (pun intended) with the characters and sealed the deal with a gripping storyline. I can’t wait to see what spooky things happen next in Vegas.

Knights Who Won My Heart is the fourth book in the Knight series by Sonya Jesus. I have only read books one and four in this series, so I have gone against what I normally say about reading the whole series, so I have missed out on a lot. So, as I am going to do when I have the time, I am going to start the series again and read the whole lot. Since I have not read books two and three, I am going to say that I feel book four was written as well as book one and I did find that the story flowed nicely. Both the primary characters and the secondary characters are important to this book as they all seem to work as a team. If you are like me books sometimes take me on an emotional roller coaster and this book is definitely one of them. You will be so eager to turn the page to see what is happening next, but then that’s a sign of an awesome book. So, if you want a book that is both heart warming and heart breaking, a book that will take you on a journey then you really need to get a copy. But then what am I saying you really need to read the whole series as I do.

Comedy and Romance at its finest! The Slip Series Collection is written by Gwyn McNamee and let me tell you it’s fantastic! You can read all of these individually but I would read them in order because the main characters come from the previous books. Now, let’s start with the first one. Dick Slip. Yes, that’s the name of the first book and yes, that’s exactly what happens in this book. Rafe is a TV personality for a children’s show about bones and fossils. Andy is the new CEO of the network. During a televised charity basketball game Rafe had a “wardrobe malfunction.” However, when these two meet…sparks fly and hooking up was inevitable even though they fought it for a while seeing as though it was against company policy. Book 2 is Nip Slip. Yes, once again that’s the name and that’s exactly what happens. LOL! Apparently, wardrobe malfunctions runs in the family and this time it’s Rafe’s twin sister Riley. Riley is a fashion model who has been given her biggest chance of her career and right at the peak of it…oops! Tate is the editor of Haute magazine. He is also a former model and was front and center for Riley’s perfect moment. However, the designer that Riley was modeling for wasn’t very understanding. Tate saw that and wants to expose him and wants Riley to help with that. Not to mention he wants Riley too! Now, the third book in this collection is Beaver Blunder. Yep! You guessed it! It is totally what you are thinking! Miss Madeline is Riley’s best friend and on her way to court one day she slipped and fell and whoops there goes her skirt! Who’s there to save her? Tate’s best friend and lawyer, Owen. Madeline is a pistol all by herself and Owen is so intrigued by it! Can Owen beat a badass litigator? This series is full of laughter, steamy hot sex and tons of romance! I give it two thumbs up and would recommend it to EVERYONE!

Since discovering dystopian themed story lines, I have read several. Although I love the idea of seeing how the author sees a potential future world or society, I don’t always find that the story holds up to my hopes or expectations. Amanda Marin did not disappoint in how she described and painted the literary picture of a society after the “Expulsions”.
Neve Hall admires the work of the civil servants, but she respects and admires the Sufferers the most. These are the servants who are chosen to take on all of the pain, suffering, anxiety, or fears of the others. When Neve’s assigned Sufferer is suddenly retired, Neve unintentionally witnesses the exchange and is bothered by the things she is beginning to see around the Nation. Each person is anonymously assigned a sufferer so when Neve then accidentally learns that her new Sufferer is Micah Ward, the Sufferer who she has seen showing a level of compassion that is unusual even for the empathetic servants, she is torn between admitting that the anonymity has been compromised and wanting to have an opportunity to be close to Micah.
As Neve and Micah grow closer, Neve becomes desperate to change Micah’s inevitable fate, but at what cost? How far with Neve go to protect Micah and fight for love?
This book grabbed me from the beginning and kept the pages turning long after I should have turned out the lights.

Gotta say, the first thing that drew me to this book is that it sounded a lot like the Giver mixed with a splash of 1984. Second would be that the girl on the cover looks like Mila Kunis. I have always been extremely empathetic and the fact that in this world, there are empaths to deal with your pain for you is intriguing to say the least. The life of one such empath could ONLY be one of loneliness and pain so for our main character Neve to want to bring love to the life of the man who replaced her former Sufferer really hit me right in my easily activated little tear ducts. I am so excited that this is the first of a series. I hope it is a long one! Sidenote- I am hoping for a prequel novella, if not a complete novel. A world like this needs some introduction and I would love to hear more about the Nation beforehand.

That spot light looks so bright and beautiful. Until you get under it and you see all the blemishes and cracks. That’s what I see whenever I hear someone saying they want to live the dream. As a child those lights are mesmerizing. Even the people that are helping you get to that dream are not what they seem. The author wanted you to see the good and the ugly in this story. I found the characters to be a little shallow and not real. I liked Catherine she seemed genuine and decent. She was a little silly in the story. The author did a great job giving you a taste but withholding the rest. I liked the authors approach to the action part of the book. No one person turned into the savior. Overall a nice read. Wolf is book 3 in the Fairy Tale Series but it is my first book by this author and I am happy to say I enjoyed it. The main characters are Carson and Maggie. They’ve both had a rough couple of years and are just trying to heal the wounds that were left behind. Will they be able to help each other or will they make the wounds deeper? These two characters were awesome. They both love fiercely and that always makes for a better MCs. Even though this is the third book in the series it can be read as a stand-alone, but after reading this one I’d like to go back and read book 1&2 and see what backstory was given before this one. I am looking forward to reading more and I would recommend this to a friend.

THIS! Oh my God this book is everything I had hoped it would be and more! I must admit first that I am a bit of a fan girl of CNN, have been since I was a little girl because I’m weird like that according to my siblings, so I knew right away who Lynne Russell and instantly fangirled more. I had to have this book asap and I had to know what was on those pages! After all this woman was who I got my 8th grade Civics current events from for Pete’s sake and now she writes one of my favorite genres!!!?? YES please! And let me tell you this was just perfect! I was rolling with laughter at several different moments and yet there was just the right amount of drama, intrigue, mystery, and suspense as well!
P.J. Santini is one fierce female lead and I LOVED reading her. I am so, so, excited that we will be getting more books with her in the following this one. She really makes this book. Her character is also a TV reporter and I believe that Russell having the first hand experience just truly helped her to make P.J. so truly real and vibrant. She practically jumped out of my kindle at me with her personality and I loved it! For any juicy details other than the synopsis though you’re going to have to grab your own copy and devour it for yourself. I can’t dare to spoil this not one bit! Thank you so much for this amazing read Ms. Russell! I can’t wait for book #2!

If The Shoe Fits is a great addition to the Liberty Lawrence series. Libby begins her new position in the women’s fashion department in this novel. Her first day is disheartening but she is determined and sticks it out. The storyline was easy to follow, refreshing, and upbeat. Liberty’s character was wonderful as always and I cant help but be addicted to her. I love how she discovers problems and sets out to fix them or locate the villain. I also love her fashion sense. I am amazed how well she knows her brands and styles! This was such a wonderful read.

This has been the book I’ve been searching for lately, It has drama, humor, and the love I was searching for!
I loved Summer! She’s driven and has dreams she wants to make real but she’s a hopeless romantic which I loved. Preston’s family owns the hotel in which she’s working as a maid for the summer. He has a bad taste in relationships so he deals with the no strings attached kind but Summer has a way about her! She gives a good challenge that can throw his rules out the window!
I loved everything about this book. This book had me hooked because I love humor and romance and I can’t wait to see more in this series and from the author

Hazed (The Hazed Series Book 1) by Brittany Butler

Shock is too tamed of a word for how I feel right now. Hayze is bad the guy your parents tell you to stay away from. The boy that gets you hooked and then leaves you. But that’s just the surface of Hayze. Taylor sees that deep love and vulnerability inside him. Taylor makes him want to be and do better. I liked how Taylor still kept a flare of innocence about her. Yes she is breaking out of her shell but she is playing it smart. I’m not sure how she survived her father but I loved how she handled him. The author gives you a lot to think about in this story. How far is too far? Can you really trust someone after so many lies? When do you give up on them? I need to read book two asap because Hazye is low key a mad man.

This is the first book from this author I have read and I fell in love. This is a light and quick read that captivated me from the get go!
This was a great super fast read and I can’t wait for more. It was a mysterious who-done-it type of read where I was guessing the whole time until the end! I was in a massive book slump and this short read took me out of it! I’m so excited to experience the next book!

Turning The Tide is Book 5 in the Eastern Shore Swingers Series by Phoebe Alexander and this author has hit the jackpot with this series. Each book gets better and better. Once I saw this book, I knew I needed to read it ASAP! Turning the Tide was a little different from the others in the series. Some of it reminded me of Paisley and Calvin’s book with all the crazy action. This book has so much going on and I just kept reading and reading. There was never a dull page. Luke Cannon is a ENT doctor who happens to be married and pretty good friends with Cap. Luke’s marriage isn’t anything to write home about. His wife is verbally and emotionally abusive. I’m not sure why Luke had stayed with his wife after the last 10 years of torture she has put him through. He manages to stay faithful even though he was miserable. He finally gives in the Cap’s invitation to go to The Factory. He meets Connie the first night and cannot seem to get her out of his mind. There’s a lot of back and forth between Connie and Luke once she finds out he is married but he tries to let her understand his situation. This book has so much going on, it’s impossible to not LOVE IT!!! Your going to have to read the book to find out just how much action there is. Another amazing read! Well done Phoebe!! Cannot wait for more.
TAMING THE TROUBLEMAKER is the third book in The Hills of Texas series yet can be read as a stand-alone. I Think recurring characters from previous story’s are very well explained in this novel so you won’t feel lost.
The main characters are cute together. Their back and forth dialogue had me chuckling and the romance had me swooning.
This is one of those light romance stories to settle in with after a long day (that’s how i read it actually). It really is a charming story of redemption and honesty and new beginnings.
This is the type of story that I can picture being easily turned into a “made for TV movie” on one of those cable channels.
I recommend this book, this series and this author.

Tess had an absolutely horrible start to her life. Luckily, was able to escape all that. But she has been hiding ever since. Life is better for her this way. She has her books and her friends. That is all she needs. But they don’t really know the real her. She shows them what she wants them to see. Except for Ben. Her best friend, she feels for him like no other. But she can’t let herself feel more.
Ben feels lost. He has always been a protector. With his sister gone, he feels like he failed. Sure, he. Cares about Tess, but the quiet, shy girl doesn’t seem to feel the same. Should he go ahead and tell her once and for all how he really feels? When body parts are found in the around where Tess lives, Ben is sent to help and protect. This gives him new purpose. Can help find out who is behind this? Does he get a chance with Tess?
This is a good paranormal romance with plenty of action. It takes two people who each have their issues, and gives them a chance to become something greater. This is a great formula for an interesting read. But the story doesn’t stop there. There are horrible things happening all around and the culprit may be closer to home than anyone thinks. This part really makes this book so much better. The characters are great — Tess just may be my favorite so far. Plus it shows that they can grow from what they once thought of themselves.
This is a great story and I highly recommend this book and series to those who like creatures, romance, and action all in one book.

Holly Tierney-Bedord definitely has a way with words. The Woman America Loves a Latte is my fourth book by this author and she continues to show her writing style that’s engaging to read. This book is written in various POV’s but I found I was getting a bit lost sometimes and finding it not flowing as well as some of her other reads but I still really enjoyed reading this book and following Vee’s journey. This book has suspense, danger & mystery that captivates you. I really loved reading Vee’s journey especially after everything she has been through with her past and everything with her ex-fiancé, so after everything and then finally something good happens you hope that she will get the HEA she so rightly deserves. The characters emotions were real and while reading it, it made you feel more connected to them and their story.
This is another brilliant read from this author and I can’t wait to see what other stories this author can bring, I know I will not be disappointed and neither will you, don’t miss this book or this author work!

An Appointment by Lindsay Marie Miller is the fourth book in the Summer in anew York series. This book can be read as a stand-alone. This is a great story with characters that are so enjoyable to read about. I really liked Savannah and how she was portrayed. And I loved the chemistry between her and Preston. Each interaction between them seemed to bring something new. This book, as with every book o have read by this author is one I have enjoyed from start to finish. I love getting lost in her stories and can’t wait to read more.

Linked: Can Empathy Save the United Terrestrial Democracy? by Gaia Amman is a sci-fi, dystopian tale. Naira is the main character and she finds out she has some special abilities. The problem is she somehow ends up having to be a team with her enemy. Can this help her accomplish her goals of eliminating the President? This is a fantastic read that kept me reading and wanting more. I like that Amman used her biology background to help with building the story. This helped keep it grounded and not get too far out. This grounding also allowed the characters and story to be familiar on a grand scale. There are similarities that are the very clear as you are reading to current day societal issues and figures in society. The characters are kept in the gray. This is true to real life because often we are presented with gray areas not black and white. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to more in the future from this author.
