A Death on Fools Lane is a mystery by Jane Suen. Eve Sawyer is on winter vacation with her two friends at her Aunt’s house. Her fun is cut short when a dead body is found in the yard. Eve cannot resist when the victim’s mother pleads with her to help. This story was a nice little mystery. The plot is well-written with plenty of twists to keep you intrigued. The characters are great. I really enjoyed getting to know Eve. I would have loved it if it was a bit longer. This is an enjoyable mystery.

I knew this book was going to be a great one when the dedication says, “To everyone who starts listening to Christmas music before it’s socially acceptable.”! This book was just what I needed today as I plan out putting my Christmas tree up next week (October 1)!!
Holly Claus is responsible for gathing all the Cheer and bringing it back to the workshop each quarter so the work can proceed without interuption. She’s thrilled to travel the world doing “market research” while accomplishing this task. There are trips to Disneyworld where she rides the ride that plays the song that will be an earworm for awhile. It’s a trip to Finland that changes everything though. Seeing an ad for a festival in Oregon, USA has her intrigued and having to go and check it out.
Ash is a business owner in Emerald Falls, Oregon. He owns an inn attached to a restaurant and he’s very well known and respected around town. He works hard to keep his family’s legacy going. He’s super excited that Hallmark is going to come and check out the festival that he’s planning. This could be the break he’s looking for in acquiring more excursions for his business customers.
Holly finds herself in an inn with a quaint restaurant and the best hot chocolate she’s ever had away from home. The owner of that inn, Ash, is impressed that she’s impressed with his hot chocolate. Afterall, it’s a family recipe!
I just loved this story. It’s very uplifting and happy, and full of cheer!! I am really hoping that this isn’t the end of this story with Holly and Ash though…especially Ash!

This was a fantastic take on Christmas. I loved the roll of the Claus’s and elves and how it differed from the tales we grew up on. The romance was perfect and I found myself falling in love with the characters while they were falling in love with each other. The scenery was described beautifully. Emerald Hollow sounds like a fairy tail. I really hope there’s a sequel or a prequel. I have so many questions that need to be answered. If you love Christmas you’ll love this book.

Oh my stars, this is my favorite Christmas story so far. The timing for reading it was just right. I have a cold so I’m stuck on the couch with a warm blanket and hot tea. I got to add this fun rom-com which made my “poor-me” weekend so much more entertaining. My favorite part was reading about her adventures in gathering Cheer. The adventures in the Magic Kingdom now have that universal song playing in my head on repeat. LOL. I loved the whole story and the flow. I love most Christmas stories. They are just perfect. Ssh, don’t tell anyone but I love Christmas romance books better than Hallmark Christmas movies. lol. I love picturing the story in my head and this author put the perfect picture there. The chemistry among the characters was just right. An entertaining story for the fall.
This is the first book in the Emerald Hollow series, and it’s off to a great start! This was a fun and festive read which will be great to read closer to Christmas (this is one I can see myself re-reading regularly). The writing flowed nicely, and the storyline was sweet and magical. It felt cosy and made me want to find a small town to book a holiday in for the holidays. I loved Holly and Ash and rooted for them from the beginning, this only increased the more they interacted, and the chemistry grew – they’re so sweet you can’t help but love them. I look forward to the release of the next book, and in the meantime will definitely be reading this again!
This book is an emotional story that touches on a tough and sensitive subject. I really became invested in the story and I think it is because it was the typically female victim. This topic focus was the male main character and the author dealt with it in such a great way. It was believable and you were never led to feeling sorry for the character. I thought the whole book was really well written and all the characters were intertwined and interesting. This is only the second book that I have read by this author and I am excited to discover more.

This is such a fun and entertaining rom com that really brings home the festive feeling. This is my first Christmas story of the year and it has already got me feeling in the Christmas mood. I loved the characters to this book. They were so well suited and I was drawn to them immediately. I loved the fact that this book isn’t your typical Christmas story. It was refreshing to read something a little different and I think that made me like the book even more. This author isn’t overly familiar to me but this book was a great way to see what they have to offer. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Tears Into Gold is a fantasy fairy book designed for children from the ages of eight to eighteen years old. It is a fun, whimsical read full of magic, fantasy, dreams, and wishes. This is an entertaining book that reads much like a fairytale within a fairytale. The storyline centers around a young girl named Branka who is in love with someone she knows she can never truly have. The boy she loves is out of her social class and a relationship between them would be strictly forbidden. The one thing that Branka wishes for is to have freedom but that wish could come at a price. This was an interesting read that was far different from any other book that I have ever read. Clever, entertaining, and unique. I look forward to reading more books by this author.

This was a cute yet frustrating story at times. I wanted to yell at Ethan and Olivia a few times and may have voiced my opinion outloud a few times.
I understand to a point why they both reacted the way they did to things that happened. They were just so right for one another from the moment they met and I wanted them to be happy.
The supporting character were great and I wouldn’t be upset if she decided to give them their own stories. Laura and Sophie both need to find their happiness.
This is the perfect book to read in a nice long hot bubble bath, trust me on this. This is not the first book I have read and enjoyed by Ms. Hanna and I don’t think it will be the last.

LIES-TRUTH-LOVE is a standalone Contemporary Romance that I had a hard time putting down once I started reading and finished in one afternoon. I absolutely loved reading this book and this author never ceases to amaze me with her creative characters and a dash of humor mixed with a little drama and secrets equals a epic story. This is Ethan and Olivia’s story. Both have been burned by past relationships so they are both a bit standoffish . Ethan comes ro her recuse while she is on a horrible date. These to hit it off so much he ageees to go to a wedding with her. The more time they spend together the closer they get. Ethan has something very important he needs to share with her but the timing is never right. What will happen when she discovers who he really is? Can she forgive him and move forward? I don’t want to accidentally give away anything so I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. It’s a pretty quick read and I’m ready for more from this Author.

This is a sweet romcom read set in the festive season. It has all the things you associated with Christmas right down to the chemistry and romance of 2 people who shouldn’t work but do. This has everything I love about a festive romance and i was more than content to curl up with a hot chocolate and lose myself in this magical story Holly Claus is always moving around trying to find enough cheer to power the north Pole. For some reason what she collects does last as long as when her father collected and she doesnt know why. She is always leaving to find a place with cheer. When she comes across a little place called Emerald Hallow she finds more cheer than she imagined and also something she didn’t expect to find. Ash is a business owner who fears his small town is losing people. Determined to change that and make Emerald Hallows and tourist attraction one more he enters the town into a competition for the best Christmas Faire. Little does he realise its not just tourists that he attracts to the town.
When Holly and Ash meet there is definately a spark and the chemistry builds between them. However Holly isn’t looking for romance and Ash doesn’t want to be with someone who has to leave. Is there a way for them both to get what they want? Could a Christmas magic help Holly keep the cheer in the North Pole and be with Ash?
When all the cheer causes problems in the North Pole causing Christmas itself to be at stake Holly knows she needs to get to the bottom of it.
This is a very sweet story filled with romance and holiday cheer. I loved the author’s writing and the characters were amazing and so likeable. This story had definately got me in a festive mood with all the talk of reindeer, elves, North Pole and delicious hot chocolate. It was a story I got lost in and was transported away to that magical time of year.
I didn’t love this book in the beginning. It was different overall and so different from the author’s other books. BUT, I’m so glad I stuck it out. It was so good in the latter half that I could hardly put it down. I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen and how it was going to end. This book starts with the murder of Cam’s mother. This throws him onto a new path in life, a life with pirates. The pirates are struggling, so Cam takes a job for some unsavory people. He never dreamed this would end in his death though. The story doesn’t end there. Cam comes back to life as a Revenant with fire powers. He goes to do a job and meets Annie. Annie is a young woman who is being treated horribly and forced to do unspeakable things. Will Cam be able to help Annie and rescue her from the life she is stuck in? You definitely will want to read this book to find out if they can save each other!

An enjoyable and engaging contemporary romance which kept me happily turning the pages. Olivia was on a date with another man when Ethan came to her rescue, and they have instant chemistry. Although he’s not Olivia’s usual type she falls for him, but soon discovers that she has fallen in love with someone she doesn’t really know. Knowing that Ethan lied to her, Olivia is unsure if she can forgive him, accept the truth and move on, after all she still loves him, or not. Both Olivia and Ethan are likeable and relatable characters, who both have had difficult relationships in the past. The chemistry between them sizzled off the page and I liked how their relationship developed throughout the story. The storyline flowed well and the plot had me hooked from start to finish. I was hoping that Olivia and Ethan would get their HEA, no spoilers but I recommend picking up this book to find out!

This is the 4th book in this series and it easily became one of my favorites. I have thoroughly enjoyed every book I have read by this author. This story is well written and engaging. Vixen’s past has come into her present by a phone call from a girl who needs help. Her past also involves a man she had feelings for and isn’t sure she can forgive him even though he says that he did what he did for her. He wanted her to have a good life and have to think about her past. There is a lot of emotion, danger, love, drama and so much more. I couldn’t put this book down until I knew what the outcome was going to be. I was on the edge of my seat for parts of the book. This is a must read. I highly recommend it.
This is book #4 in the series and while I didn’t feel too lost not having read the previous books I highly recommend that you do , you’re doing yourself , the author and the characters an injustice by not doing so 🥰📚
We start off by meeting Max and Rodriquez .These 2 share a special bond and they worked together in the police police force , they’re now enjoying their retirement. Max is a German Shepherd , clever and well trained as a sniffer and cadaver dog . Rodriquez was his handler . On their morning walk Max makes a shocking discovery…..
Cassie and friends head out to house sit for her aunt on Fools Lane in Briar Hills , what can happen , it’s a small town with a low crime rate but remember all is not as it seems ….especially when you get woken up to police knocking at your door🤫🧐🤨and then the grizzly discovery in the back yard 🫣
It would seem the man who died knew Cassie’s aunt and he has a sad story but they shared a special friendship , it really made me sad reading this and I just wanted justice for dear Mead and his mum 😢
Madison surprised me I’ll be honest , I didn’t see that one coming and there was more to follow , death has never been so sad for me ….
P.S. Max and Rodriquez also got the praise they deserve , thank you for your service 🐾🥰

Very relatable and realistic. Love that Bella has such a strong group of friends that help her get back on her feet after her husband drops his bombshell. Interesting ending, would have loved to explore that more. Looking forward to more of the novellas in this series as they are the perfect length to just escape for a little bit. First time reading this author but definitely not the last.

How beautiful is this cover art ? The dedication made me smile and have a gentle chuckle 📚🥰 while the acknowledgments had me in tears 🫣🥰
This is one of those reads you just want to share with everyone from your neighbour to the minister’s wife even the girls at Ladies league !
The characters are so easy to love especially granny and I laughed, I really did but I also cried and got angry . I struggle to get my head around people that hurt others to get their way and look I’m not perfect but geez let the sun shine on others . I just adore Granny she’s really the bees knees and she’s sharp , funny , witty and wise and I’d love to spend time with her 🥰 Mia is a gentle , kind and what you see is what you get and I’d love to have her as a friend and she deserves every ounce of happiness that comes her way . Mitch is more than meets the eye be patient with him …
There’s so much I want to say about this beautiful read but I’m struggling with the words , does that make sense !? It’s one of those you read , and then read again for it all to really sink in , an epic read filled with relatable and beautiful people 🥰📚
This is book two in The McIntire County series. Austin does a great job intricately weaving an exciting plot that keeps you on my your toes. The romantic suspense creates tension between the two main characters that also includes a lot of backstory. There’s intense suspense with family trauma to throw in the mix.

4.5 stars Chasing Cheer has all the Christmas feels and seriously can you ever have too much Christmas cheer, never is my opinion. However, our MC finds things strange and so the story begins. It is a Christmas tale with a twist. This Rom Con is fun and set in a sweet small town Emerald Hollow and had me laughing out loud. It is worthy of a Hallmark movie. It is easy to imagine the smells of Christmas pines, the eggnog, the roasting nuts, the joy of the people and the love of the season. Holly Claus collects cheers and one small town changes things for her so much that Christmas could be in jeopardy. Chasing Cheer is the perfect book to curl up with a hot chocolate if you in the colder months like me or sip a glass of wine enjoying the warm weather. Either way it is perfect for some much needed me time. To enjoy the fun, you will have to grab a copy. Enjoy!
You’ve got to love the names Jagger and Bowie! Legends that will live on when they themselves are long gone 😉
Anyhoo let me not loose focus …,
Alexis is good at what she does , she a tour manager for a promotions company and she runs bands with precision and when she’s offered a gig to run the comeback tour of her ex and his band I can feel her reservations , I can hear the war within , can she keep her feelings out of this and she’s sure she can because it’s been 5 years but hello when she lays on him she has her doubts I think , we’ll I would anyways , he’s yummy 🤤
Jordan is lead singer for idol Rev and as is the life of a rockstar the wheels fell off but they’re gearing up for a comeback tour and when their current tour manager steps down and is replaced I don’t think he was prepared for coming face to face with his past , yes he and Alexis had been sort for years but they’ve been kind to get and she’s more beautiful than he remembers …..
It can’t be easy having to spend so much time together and having memories and feelings of past to deal with , nostalgia can play tricks but I’m sure these 2 have grown in themselves to be able to battle what comes their way ….

Vixen is a fierce woman with a past which was filled with abuse, addiction, pain and suffering, but she managed to escape it, albeit she is still haunted by nightmares of her time being trafficked and used as a piece of property in a prostitution ring and she was fooled by the ringleader into thinking that he loved her and wanted to be with her, but it was all a lie until he could get what he wanted. While she was living in this hell, she made a friend, or as close to a friend you could in this torturous place, but she managed to keep in contact, sporadically though because she still had a long way to go before she could help those around her, but just as she is finally getting on her feet, this friend comes a calling and asks for her help to escape as well.
As things heat up and the other members of the MC are told what truly happened to her, she is devastated and is absolutely dreading having to return to that place and face her past, but thankfully she doesn’t have to, but in order for her friend to escape, the ladies have to call in help from the one person who she doesn’t want to see, the one person she trusted and he broke her heart, Ironside. When Ironside receives a call from the MC he helped in the past, he is shocked, but also his memories of the one he left behind return in full force, he has never forgotten her and he regrets leaving her like he did, but his job came first, so when this out of the blue call comes in, he expects that he is going to get his ass handed to him, but regardless, he will go and help again, even if it kills him.
As soon as Ironside arrives at the ranch, he is shocked at what he sees, the place is nothing like he expected and he definitely didn’t expect to see as many familiar faces as he does, but as soon as the introductions are made, they get down to business to rescue Vixen’s friends, but unfortunately, when one truth comes out, it is nearly enough to break apart any plans they may have made, emotions are high and words flung about, but hearts are also broken in the process, will there be enough bonds left for a rescue and removal of some human garbage, or will the past come storming in between all of these bonds and shatter them to pieces? This is another whirlwind of truths, lies, action and emotion as past and present collide to bring either hope or disaster, but to find which one wins out, you will have to read to the end.

M. Earl – Review by Roxsanne Lesieur.
Taz is a young woman who is great with numbers and organisation, she will go above and beyond to make sure that everything financially, runs smoothly and that is a lot of responsibility, but this is all hidden under a tough exterior of leather, spikes and rainbow hair, not to mention, she is part of an all female MC. However, she has a softer side when it comes to her son, he is young, but he has had some bad experiences in his short life, so when Taz’s ex comes back into the picture and hurts him, he has just poked the bear and this mama bear will do anything to protect her young, as will all of the MC sisters behind her. Taz has worked too hard escaping her past to be beaten by it again and she is nowhere near as beaten and broken as when she was with him, but he has no idea how she has changed, so when he starts messing with her and the others she lives with, she is determined to stop letting her past haunt her and embrace the wildness which is inside her
The troops are called in and the Intruders MC heed the call, as well as some handy ex military personnel who will also do whatever they can to help, especially Travis, their Enforcer, he has a soft spot for Taz and her son, but she is reluctant to get into another relationship and end up heartbroken again, but her son is happy around him and when her past comes calling, he answers with a fierce determination to protect them and this is where Taz realises that Enforcer might just be in this for the long haul, unlike in her devastating past. Meanwhile things escalate with her ex and the people supporting him and as the danger increases and all their protective instincts kick in, her ex has no idea what he has let himself in for.
This is yet another rip roaring and action packed MC romance where the suspense will keep you on edge throughout as one problem after another needs solving and sanity, relationships and bonds are tested to breaking point, but will they break, or will a silver lining shine out from within the storm and can this unlikely group of mismatched souls work together to solve yet another dangerous problem?

5 Stars Mr. Wimp (The Human Mating Site Book 1) by B.L. Wilde
Mr. Wimp is the first book in The Human Matting Site Series and is a RomCom Romance that I truly enjoyed reading. This is s short story that I literally read in less than a hour and was upset because I want more. This is a new author to me and I’m already a fan of their style of writing and relatable yet fully developed characters that definitely made the story pop. Bella finds herself single after finding out her husband Mr. Wimp had been cheating and now with the help of her friends she’s having fun . Bella loves to read Romance novels and wants tto live out her fantasies like in her romance novels. Bella is a fun character who is finding herself after not being her true self for years. Watch out world here comes Bella and she’s in the market for some and hot sex. This is part of a thirteen novellas series that has my full attention and I’m ready for more now. I high recommend reading this short story. Im looking forward to reading more from this Author.

When Holly Claus visits a small town in Oregon on one of her normal Cheer-collecting missions, she never imagines that everything she knew about holiday Cheer would be thrown out the sleigh. Holly has always been efficient in her work of traveling around the world, collecting Cheer to power the North Pole and its dream-making operations there. But she’s never been quite as good at collecting it as her father was, and she’ll do anything to figure out why- including blending in in a small town full of Cheer. Ash Hayes is working nonstop to build up his tourism business at The Emerald House in rural Oregon, even going so far as to enter the town in a Hallmark competition for Best Small Town Christmas Faire. Driven by a desire to make the town a desirable destination after his mom ran away from Emerald Hollow as a child, Ash feels like he has the future of the town riding on his shoulders. When Ash and Holly meet, sparks fly, but she isn’t looking for love, and he isn’t looking for someone who leaves. Little do they know, magic may intervene in their carefully laid plans. Holly’s arrival in town sets in motion a change in Holly’s Cheer magic that upends everything at the North Pole. If Holly doesn’t get to the bottom of what’s causing all the Cheer in Emerald Hollow, Christmas itself may be at stake. In this sweet small-town twist on the classic Christmas tale, experience holiday magic like never before.
Vixen is the fourth book in the Devil’s Handmaidens MC: Timber-Ghost, Montana Chapter series by D.M Earl. I keep coming back to this series because I am invested in the beautifully broken and flawed characters that Ms. Earl has lovingly crafted. I know each time I pick up one of Ms. Earl’s stories that she will rip open my chest, toy with my heart, then brand it, before sewing me up again. Each book takes me on another emotional roller-coaster ride that leaves me reeling in parts. The series follows the Devil’s Handmaidens and each instalment showcases one particular handmaiden/couple- and alongside them we have a recurring cast of characters that also play a part throughout the series. We get a real feel for the bonds and dynamics that have formed between these complex characters and that alone makes this series worth the read. But add in a MC romance, the romantic suspense kind- with plenty of deep emotion, vulnerability, depth, action, danger, possible triggers, darker themes, drama, chemistry, tension, intensity, tragedy, angst, second chances, taking a chance on love, and plenty of Ms. Earl’s signature touches, and this story becomes completely captivating. But be warned, this isn’t a light and fluffy read- if you are expecting nothing but hearts and rainbows, then this probably isn’t the book for you. It has dark themes and the story is quite raw and gritty in parts. Ms. Earl WILL toy with your emotions- and you will LOVE every minute of it and want to go back for more. One book won’t be enough. Glory’s story is next- can’t wait! Bring on Book #5! Happy Reading…
Mr Wimp is a fab Rom Com and an extremely quick read. It is packed full of sexy fun. It is a great start to a series but it only 40 pages. I flew through it and read it in one sitting which was less than an hour. I was sad to see it end because I was enjoying it so much and I want more. Who doesn’t love a good story where the MC loves to read and loves her hot and steamy books and wants to play out her fantasies? It is the story of Bella as she navigates the online dating world once again as her cheating, low life husband Mr. Wimp blames her for their woes when it is all his fault. Revenge is sweet. Throw in some amazing and loving friends, some hand holding, dancing, and lots of wine, flirting, some great and liberating sex, some alpha hot and sexy men and some witty banter that will have you laughing out loud then you have yourself a super spicy tale. I am sure there are lots of women out there that can relate to this story. There are 13 novellas so I can’t wait to get stuck into the next instalment of the Human Mating Site series and Bella’s search for Mr. Right

Mr Wimp is the first instalment in a new thirteen-part series, The Human Mating Site, by B.L. Wilde. I really wasn’t sure of what to expect from the title and was a little worried that I wouldn’t like it. But after reading it, the title definitely makes sense now, and I am glad I took the chance on it, because this ‘taste’ of what’s to come holds plenty of promise for the rest of the series. Bella has been blindsided by a cheating husband- now twelve years of marriage is down the drain. She’s ‘back on the market’ but feels quite lost. Bella is set on a journey of re-discovery- to find the ‘woman’ she was before, but somehow lost in her years of marriage. So things could get a little messy, angsty, spicy, and fun- as we follow Bella on her ‘adventures’ in the dating game. This first instalment is a short, novella-length story that lays the groundwork for the series. A new instalment is set to release every month as we follow Bella along on The Human Mating Game. Looking forward to seeing where we go from here. Mr. Smooth is next (Book #2)… Happy Reading…

This series opener is wonderful, funny, heartbreaking, and imaginative. The series starts with Bella’s husband ending their 7 year marriage, 12 year relationship without much explanation. Through her friends, who are hilarious and endearing, Bella discovers the worst news possible. Instead of just growing apart like she had originally thought, there is someone new.
Despite this heartbreak, Bella reclaims her life. She starts to realize that she lost parts of herself to her husband. Bella is rediscovering what it means to be her. And loving the new old her.
After months of shedding the old her and shaking off the heartbreak, Bella has decided to quote Stella “get her groove back”. Now we get to meet the men that might put the ooooh in her groove. 😉
Can’t wait for the next one. I am here for the series.

L. Schneider – Review by Nina Maes
Strength. Power. Family. The incredible D.M. Earl of course does it again as always. This time Vixen a road captain/tail gunner of the Devil’s Handmaidens painful history is brought to light. Told through multiple perspectives as this series is known for, we are taken on Vixen and Ironside’s journey. Mira (Vixen) had a terrible upbringing in the foster system of Las Vegas, and eighteen the new adult was homeless and without a family when Juice found her. In her own words she was a naïve eighteen-year-old looking for a job and a home and Juice used that to his advantage. Taking her in telling her everything she wanted to hear before getting what he wanted and taking so much more. Lucas (Ironside) three years deep undercover into Juice’s human trafficking operation and working to take it down when he meets Mira. When the time came, he did what he thought was the right thing, he ghosted her giving her the chance to have a clean slate and start a new life with no reminders of the pain of her past. Only it’s now roughly four years later and they are somewhat forced to confront their own feelings for each other. Vixen receives a call from Poodles, a girl from her days with Juice, she is pregnant again and wants to keep the baby, she needs help getting out. While afraid Vixen knowns she is not alone so after taking it to Tink, Glory and Shadow a plan is made. Even if it’s a trap Vixen must help, they all do. Will Mira and Lucas get out of their heads and let their hearts have all they have desired? Can they get Poodles out in time, safely? Unlike the previous books in this serious I loved the different twist that Vixen faced in this book. The previous books the female leads past came hunting them down, forcing them to open the door to the painful past they escaped. Mira chooses to open that door, risking it being a trap, risking the painful memories to control her emotions. Both Mira and Lucas are incredibly relatable and complex. They approach their feelings, fears, and truths the way anyone would. The growth the characters take throughout the story leaves you speechless as you lay victim to the pain, love, and understanding that they endure and overcome. As always, it’s also so amazing getting glimpses of the previous books’ characters’ growth over time with each new obstacle that they face. I especially loved seeing the Devil’s Handmaidens women through new eyes, Lucas knows them only by their MC names, learning Tink’s name and seeing Shadow and Panther being “soft” was truly a treat to read. I can’t wait for book 5, Glory, November 16, 2023. Finally, we get to learn more about the fierce VP.
