Rogue (The Talisman Series) by Tam DeRudder Jackson
While this is a 6th book in the series, its my first read by this author. The story was action packed and very well written. The characters Baz and Delaney have almost instant chemistry and that makes the story really hard to put down. They draw you into their world and keep you wanting more. I am definitely a fan and eager to read all of the other books in this series.

Have you ever just wanted to reach through the page and shake some sense into a character? Well, I did. I wanted to shake some sense into both Abby and Nate. Once their relationship became more, they both should have realized that they had more than just friend-feelings for each other. I have to admit that I was completely concerned when Colin came back into town. But when Nate just took off and moved to Ocean City! OMG!!!!! Completely frustrated. This fun romp through friendship and a pregnancy is worth every minute you spend yelling at Nate just to tell Abby how he feels. The comedy, the realness of the characters, the supporting cast, the sisterhood, and so much more make this book worth every star and explicative yelled at a character! Looking forward to reading about Jane. Can’t wait for Jake to find his love.

This was a great 5 star read. I really enjoyed Pete and Rowena’s story. I work in a rural facility so it’s fun to read a book based on rural medicine. Pete wears many hats, when he is called out to help save a mom he jumps into action. While at the hospital after rescuing the woman and her child he see’s Rowena. Rowena is someone from Pete’s past. There is so much that goes on your head will be spinning. Rowena has secrets and hasn’t been able to stop thinking about Pete. Will her secrets ruin a possible relationship? Or can they have a HEA? All of the characters added a great element to the story. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was coming next. If you’re looking for a good series to read this is the one for you. I have read a couple of books from this author and she always blows my mind on the stories she writes. This book is part of the very addictive Talismen series. You can read this book as a stand alone but it could be a little hard to understand if you don’t read the whole series in order. I was so excited for this book so I started it right away. I could not put it down until the end. Now I can’t wait to see what is next in this series.
Baz never wanted to be a rogue but he had no choice. He is being forced to defend his ruler and he doesn’t want to. Baz finds out that his ruler has been lying to him so she can stay safe. He forms a plan to get out of that hell. Baz finds himself in a new world and then he takes the beautiful Delaney. He wants to get to know her but he knows it is very dangerous and so is she. Baz doesn’t understand what he feels but I don’t want to let it go. Will Baz and Delaney get the freedom they want or will they both end up in danger?

Newly obsessed reader of author Tam DeRudder Jackson. After reading the first book of this series (Talisman) I became a real big fan. I totally started reading more of her stories including the previous one in this series and the Balefire series. She is an amazing writer, this story was filled with wild action, exciting paranormal beings and a lot of passion between fated mates Baz and Delaney. Even with the odd betting and pitted against them they end up being a perfect pair for each other. And can I say the Morrigan is a real piece of work. A highly recommended read. And again the cover 😍🥵

Just One Time: A Small Town Best Friends To Lovers Romance (Beaumont Creek Book 1)
I absolutely adored this book, Abby and Nate. They had the knowledge only best friends would have. While with some it might have been weird, it worked for them.
I personally couldn’t imagine starting a family in my 40’s but know plenty of women including several in my family that have had a later in life baby.
There were so many moments that made me laugh, a few that made me cry and a few that made me pump my fist in celebration.
I definitely recommend you give it a try, hope you like it as much as I did.

This book was a best friends to lovers romance about a woman named Abby who just turned 40 and is desperate to start a family. He best friend Nate seems like the perfect place to looking for help, It could be a one time thing/hookup and if it doesn’t work then she could move on to more expensive, less convenient options. But Nate has feelings for Abby and of course she has no clue. Secrets, miscommunication and other things made this story all the more complicated and exciting to read. I really liked Abby and Nate and I enjoyed reading the ups and downs that were included in the pages of their story. I am looking forward to more by this author in the future! Happy Reading!

This is the first book I have read by the talented Aurora Wildey, and I wasn’t sure what to expect other than an original story plot. Original, seems too simple of a word but Undying Light is a unique plot that follows the perspectives of three different individuals. Terran is the only son of an old money family in his hometown with a secret “affliction” that only affects the males of his father’s family. Kaela is an extremely intelligent young woman that is 18 and about to finish college as a registered nurse. Seth is one of only six of his kind still in existence. Terran is determined to bring justice to those who escape true justice. Kaela is set on healing those that can’t afford it. Seth is determined to find his belongings that have been stolen again. In a flurry everything comes together, Terran and Kaela find each other in a lifesaving moment that triggered more events to unfold. Seth discovers the first new undying in more years than he can remember. What will happen to Kaela? Can they achieve their goals in one piece? What exactly is Kaela and what makes her existence so important? The world the author creates is truly otherworldly while still being routed in reality. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

I love this!! The world building, the suspense, the characters coming together. I don’t always like multiple POV but it was done wonderfully and worked perfect with this story. I will be anxiously awaiting to see what is next for this group.

Insomnia…A perfect title for this book, because that’s what you will have after reading all the wonderfully scary short stories. Keep the lights on or read them in the daytime. It would be hard to choose a favorite, because I really enjoyed them all. I absolutely love a good scary book, and this definitely does not disappoint. So, grab this book and get yourself comfy and be prepared for some sleepless nights. Kelly Covic did an amazing job.

This is the third book in the Chase Care series and I liked it just as much as the previous books. It can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading this series from the start. There was a little bit of everything in this book, it has suspense, drama, romance and action. I want to say its my favorite of the series but they have all been good. I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys a suspenseful romance that has couple who gets snowed in and has a hard time ignoring the mutual attraction while trying to solve a mystery! I am looking forward to the next book in this series and I cant wait to read other books by this author as well. Happy Reading!

This is a great small town, best friends to lovers, steamy romance. Nat and Abby have been friends since they were seven. And now she wants to have a baby. It is a good quick read, funny, sweet yet with some family meddling. Fantastic side characters that I want to have more of their story especially her sister Jane.

Just One Time is a cute book about best friends set in a small town! The characters are lovely and the story is easy to follow however for me it was missing something. It followed the usual romance timelines and of course there was a miscommunication that leads to a fight but I needed something different from this!

An alternate universe where the Romanov girls survived? Sign me up. The author definitely did her due diligence in researching this topic and incorporated fact flawlessly with the fiction. In this story the 4 Romanov daughters have been successfully smuggled out from the Bolshevik’s and are in hiding in England. Olga is doing anything she can to keep the family together while they investigate the rumors that their mother is still alive. This was a very well written book that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

This historical fiction novel is a great read. Filled with great characters and amazing details that make you feel like you are part of the story. The author did an incredible job with the historical details and merging them to make a believable fictional story. As someone who has read many historical fiction novels I have to say this is definitely a win. Highly recommend!

Abby is turning 40 and everything in her is saying it’s time to have a baby. Her mom tries to set her up with an old widow which only makes Abby feel even worse. When she makes an agreement with her best friend to help bring a baby into this world, she can’t imagine anything going wrong. It would just be one time and then their friendship would resume. But how could it? They both realize they have deeper feelings, but Abby keeps pushing him away. There is plenty of steam in this book and the chemistry is palpable, but it is also hilarious! I don’t know how the author combined everything so well but I am looking forward to many more reads from her. I highly recommend picking this cute, sexy, and funny book up. It’s a magnificent start to The Beaumont Creek Series!

This was a really good book! I thought it was well researched and written as well. It was a very evocative read to me, and I found it very enthralling. It was hard for me to put down and hard to read in some spots. I enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would and I’m glad I took a chance on this one. I’ve read a few books by this author already, but this one has definitely raised the bar! It is an incredible story focused on a paranormal romance theme and plenty of action, tension, and steamy scenes throughout. Baz is a rogue that has pledged his loyalty to Morrigan, but he wishes things were different. Very different. He keeps making plans to escape this reality and time after time none of them come to fruition. Delaney is kidnapped by this rogue and her protector instincts kick in. Little does she know she is his fated mate. The crossroads they’re at must lead to a decision…but which will they choose? This book drew me in, and I loved every moment of it. I highly recommend picking this up and giving it a chance, especially if you enjoy paranormal romance!

Oh this was such a sweet story! Abby and Nate have been best friends since they were children. Always there for one another. And now that they’re getting older…will they be there for one another in a way that’s MORE than what they’re used too? This is one of those books that just grabbed my attention from the very start and the characters are amazing! If you love a good best friends to lovers, one night stand, second chances book, read this! I LOOOOOVE Nate so much. How he’s always there for Abby just melts my heart. There’s a lot of humor in this book too and those parts absolutely killed me 🤣🤣 and as much as I loved this book it also irked my soul. Still makes it a good book though in my opinion. I want to feel all the emotions when I’m reading. Highly suggest this!

First of all, I just got to say, WOW! Such great chemistry between Abby and Nate! It starts as having a friendship since they were 7 years old and have been by each other’s side since. Just recently had her 40th birthday, Abby quite envious of pregnant wives with their husbands and their happily ever afters. Abby, still single and with no kids, just wants her turn at her own happiness. After speaking with her sister, she mentions the idea to Nate and he surprisingly decides to help her out, to have her own baby. Any type of artificial treatments are quite costly and they decide to go ahead with this “procedure” the old fashion way. Boy, do they enjoy the experience. Situation does get complicated a bit along when she does get pregnant. If you’re already interested, just go for it and read this book! It is so worth the read and makes you look forward to more! I know I can’t wait for the next one in this series!

This was an enjoyable read that can be a good time for readers of all ages. We read it as a bedtime story for the tiny humans in one night. Both enjoyed it and kept asking for just one more chapter before bed until we finished the story.
The story starts with a bang that sucks you in from page one. Noah is a twelve year old child whose life is anything but super. Bullies at school, a dad with a low paying job, and a pandemic. A pandemic in which both people and animals are getting super powers. One his dad is sent out to work in. His summer turns into a wayward adventure with some new friends. Will Noah and friends solve the puzzle and uncover the truth to this pandemic before summer ends?
Looking for a book that can bring all ages together in enjoyment. Then this is absolutely the book for you! We cannot wait to continue on with this series.

I enjoyed the concept of an alternate history of the Romanovs if their English cousins came to aid them as they asked. The start of the novel is a little slow for my taste in a Historical Romance novel, but it did pick up the pace closer to the middle. I found pleasure in the added parts at the end of the chapter where the author connects the story present to the story past for Olga! The research portion of this Historical Romance was prevalent in the story and I appreciated the author’s authenticness. This story is told from the view of Olga and how she and her 3 sisters are rescued and rushed away to England. The Romanov sisters want to live normal lives but fear Bolsheviks discovering their hiding spot with their English families. Olga seems to be able to hold the fort down and keep her sisters in line until a person wants to slander their family’s reputation! She decides enough is enough and takes matters into her own hands! However, leaving the sanctuary of her hideaway and into the real world leaves her vulnerable to triggers of events that happened both in the past and present as she is trying to protect her family’s name! It doesn’t help matters when she meets the dashing Rob! Does she succeed? Will she allow Rob or Heathcliff to become too much of a distraction or want to unburden the truth to him? I hope you enjoy finding out as much as I did!

This is the 6th book of the Talisman series. Each book can be read as a stand alone but it is more understandable if you at least read the first book in the series. Each book is about a different warrior and talisman, making it easy to follow along. The author does a wonderful job creating these Celtic characters. Each with their own story and personality. What I like is how the author is able to tell a different love story within the same universe. It’s not all love at first sight. Sometimes they have to work for what is theirs which makes the story much more believable. I love this series and will be reading more.
The Morrigan put a curse on all the warriors. Find your talisman by your 28th birthday or you belong to her. In the first book, the warriors break the curse extending the time given to find your talisman. Baz Cormac thinks the curse being lifted is a myth. His 28th birthday came and he had a choice; death, go into hiding for the rest of his life or join Morgan’s army and become a rogue. Baz chose to fight for Morgan.
Years go by and Baz has given up finding his talisman completely. Until he meets a feisty woman who isn’t afraid to go head to toe with him.
Delaney has accepted her fate as a warrior spinster. Her 28th birthday came and went without finding her warrior. She starts dating a warrior who lost his talisman. When her boyfriend gets taken by Morgan, Delaney goes to his place to investigate when she is surprised by a rogue on the property. Years prior, her uncle became a rogue, dishonouring his family so they quickly disowned him. Since then, Delaney hates all rogues.

Flynn once a pro tennis player is now a successful author and motivational speaker who has always been on her own. The only thing she has really given up on was tennis. When tennis didn’t work out Flynn turned to write about her life. When she has a run-in with a smooth-talking playboy her life just might turn her life upside down. Chavez Delgado is a pro tennis player with reckless anger issues. Chavez is at the top of his game when he must put his family first and put down the racket. At a by-chance meeting, they run into each other in their therapist’s office and set something in motion that neither can explain. Something that neither of them could imagine. This is the second book I have read by this author and just like the first, she did not disappoint with this second book. I can’t wait to see what else this author releases.

An enjoyable book in one of my favourite genres. The plot was interesting and suspenseful which kept me reading on to find out whether Kaela puts her trust in the right person and working to survive the attempts on her life. The story is told from multiple points of view which gives a deeper look into each of the characters which I liked.
Each character has a distinct personality and it was interesting to see how they all bounced off each other (especially when you could see things from everyone’s perspective, it gave me a deeper appreciation for their reactions).
I’m interested in seeing where the rest of this series leads as it started off well.

This is another great book to add to this series, and yet another from this author. I am really enjoying this spin off series and the change of pace it brings. The characters are have a great chemistry, made even stronger by their history. I connected with them instantly and wanted to read more. The book was fast paced and action packed yet well thought through. I love the dynamics that the author brings to her books and this is just another example of why. I am already looking forward to the next book.

This is a highly entertaining story with one of my favourite main characters of all time. She is an absolute breath of fresh air because she is so real and relatable. I loved that she isn’t the typical heroine you get in a book but I think that just made the story so much better. The storyline of the book was great. It was perfectly written and really fit with Gwen’s character. This is still a pretty new author to me but this book is definitely one to make sure they are added to my one click list. I cannot wait to read more of this series.

I thoroughly enjoyed this take on the Romanov survival rumours. There are the expected moments of suspense and danger for Olga and her sisters given their identities, but there are also unexpected secrets which are revealed as the story progresses.
I related to Olga as an older sister myself, I was often in the role of protector to my younger sister. Though our situations are vastly different, having that in common helped me to connect to the story. I admired her strength in trying to do right by her family whilst at the same time protecting her remaining siblings.
I think the research, which clearly went into writing this book, only adds to the brilliance of this novel. The historical details, make the whole thing believable and easier to read.
