Having recently read another book in this series, I was pleased to be able to get my hands on this one so soon. This book is just as a good as the first one I read and I really enjoyed the two characters are the centre of the story. They were complicated and flawed and yet completely perfect for each other. Their connection and chemistry was obvious and I loved watching how their story played out. I thought the story was well written and interesting. The author knew how to move it forward at the right time and keep you interested from start to finish. I am pleased to see that this series has so many books to offer and I am looking forward to delving into them all.
I absolutely love the Porter and Midge series and I think this might be one of my favorites. In this installment, we get to hang out with Lora and CJ in the kitchen as they make treats for the doggies. I love the rhyming aspect of this story as well as the illustrations. But I think the thing I love the most is that at the end of the story there are recipes upon recipes for dog-safe treats for you and your littles to try. I love how interactive this book is. This is the 4th book in the Shadow Defense series. Even though this is part of a series they can be read as a standalone. However that being said I feel that once you read one you will want to read them all. This is a romance suspense read, filled with drama, angst danger, a race against time and sizzling chemistry. There are so many twists and turns in this story that you are left guessing what is going to happen, especially when the threat is something that could cause harm to the whole population with enemies in high places. When Oceanographer Alexis Hayes finds a dangerous algae that could potentially cause harm to everyone who comes into contact with it, she knows she has to nutralise the threat. However, there are people that don’t want her coming forward with what she has found. Now it is a race against time to get the sample to someone Alexis can trust, so she can find someone to help her. But this only brings her into the spot light of people who want to stop her at any costs. Now she needs protection and that falls to Seb. Together they need to find a way to stop this algae from causing global chaos while also protecting themselves from a threat they could never imagine possible.
This is a fast paced read, full of action, adventure, intrigue, and twists and turns which meant i couldn’t stop reading. I can’t wait to read more.
This is a good story but I am not a fan of the writing style. Every detail and thought is mentioned more than once which means it takes forever for the story to move along. This style makes me bored and I tend to skim but no worries I did not miss anything. I know this is fiction but I can not fathom a girl immediately bonding with another guy let alone going to his place in the middle of nowhere especially after almost being kidnapped.
Other than the above the characters are nice. Not sure about an MC running a ranch but that is a different avenue. This seems to be a small group that are unique. I liked both the main characters and even his MC family.
Overall for me this story has its ups and downs. This is exactly what I expected from this author due to previous books I have read. I did not love it but also did not hate it. This is a book in a large series and I have not read any other ones in this series. So maybe there are running storylines making this even out a lot of stuff.
The book stands out for its use of engaging rhymes and delightful illustrations. These elements not only make the recipes accessible but also keep young readers entertained. The visual appeal of the illustrations is likely to capture the imagination of children, making the process of baking even more enjoyable.

Soul Sacrifice is an absolutely delectable dystopian romance by Courtney Davis. I loved this book, as it was a truly unique premise that will absolutely hook you right in. Once you start reading this it really is difficult to put down. I read this book in just 2 days, absolutely absorbed in Lark and Ebony’s journey. This book is perfectly paced, and keeps you guessing at every turn. While this is definitely an 18+ read, i absolutely recommend it! I can’t wait to see what else Courtney has in store, loved this author!

I am so happy she wrote this. Loved Tessa & James’s story so much and also loved seeing how Patrick and Evelyn’s story had evolved. This story was so great!! Kept me reading until it was done.
Character development was fantastic (in both couples). It kept me on my toes guessing who Tessa’s stalker was and the way it was all connected was very interesting and well written! Highly recommend this duet to any reader!

This is book 4 in the series and it did not disappoint. It was just as good if not better than the first three books. This book can be read as a stand alone but I highly recommend reading the whole series. The characters are sprinkled throughout the other books, so you have an idea of who they are. Plus, you are able to get a deeper connection with the characters. If you choose to read this book first just know that you won’t be disappointed. You will be able to gain that connection because of how the book is written. I love a good second chance love story and I love to see growth of characters. This book has both of those things. These characters have been through some stuff in their lives and they are hesitant to move forward because of the past trauma. The growth allows them to believe again and fall for each other. The emotions that this book was able to pull out of me was shocking but felt cathartic at the same time. It was a quick read because I couldn’t put it down. I am just a huge fan of this series and the books keep getting better and better. I love reading the evolution of the characters in this book. Couldn’t put it down! First thing, it takes place in Canada! And I’m a Canadian girl 🇨🇦 and love rock and roll and hockey! 2 things I love and know well. Hunter was amazing at showing the character growth and development, making sure the story left no holes or questions left unanswered and giving us readers our Happy Ever After!!! This is the first book I have read of Hunter’s and I really loved her writing style and short chapters (I didn’t even realize how much I prefer short chapters until now). Tessa and James’ story had me hooked pretty quickly! This is book 2 in the London Detective Agency series and I cannot wait to get to know more characters better and dive into book 3!
Tessa has opened a new bakery and is expecting the norm as far as budgeting, hard work, and building a customer base. What she didn’t expect was for business to be so booming she got a stalker out of the deal. This leads her to James, a VERY hot private investigator. He’s so hot he has to continually remind his clients (and now himself, thanks to the appearance of Tessa) that he DOES NOT DATE CLIENTS. Historically, James stays busy but relaxed helping his clients solve their cases, but although his schedule is booked he cannot resist the pull Tessa has on him. Tessa has no need for such a rule to not date clients, but even if she did…the chemistry between the two of them keeps you reading.
Very well written, great story telling, wonderful character building, and it keeps you on the edge of your seat between the case and the chemistry between the MCs! Excellent read!

Dying, Ebony hires Lark, a searcher, to find her soul sister so she can sacrifice herself so that her soul sister can live with a full soul and have a better life. What she wasn’t counting on was finding her soulmate. Now she has the difficult decision to either give up her life or fight for the other half of her soul so she can have the strength to heal herself and live a wonderful life with her soul mate.
It was an interesting concept where the more soul you have the higher your status is to the government and society. Half souls are basically poor, and no souls are the scum of the world. You either stay a halfling and endure the hardships of trying to survive on half rations from the government and what little pay you make from working or you find your soul sister/brother and fight to the death and have better paying jobs, full rations, finding your soulmate and starting a family.
The story flows well and keeps you interested. I enjoyed the characters and their relationships evolving into something more than just business. Overall, I enjoyed reading this book.

For Bistrita, he figured destiny would probably never find someone to pair him with let alone a Fated mate. Then make that even more irrational to place this sassy red head in my path. I truly enjoy these stories! To me, this one felt a little like a novella than a novel. Usually there are multiple mysteries happening that all kind of feed into each other in some way; this one is not like that at all. Don’t get me wrong, I am not complaining! It was quite nice to just have the one mystery to keep track of in my mind. I liked getting to know a new character that is very similar to Emma. I think she needed someone to give her a run for her money! I hope to see their return in any upcoming books!
A book about how pets are taken care of when the family goes on vacation. Oscar and Emmy are staying with Grandma while the family is away. The cats might be unsure of the new location but soon find their way with Grandma’s help. Oscar and Emmy not only visit grandma but also meet some animals they’ve never seen before during their visit. This book would be great for families to read before an short or extended trip. Love the illustration and story that I feel kids will relate to.
Absurd Said Bird is absolutely adorable! It had become a new favorite bedtime story in our household. The story is very simple for kids to follow while still holding their attention captive. The images are so cute. Definitely recommend!

Forever To Fall by Libby Kay is book number 5 in the Buckeye Falls series. I have loved every single one of them and this was no different. Honestly this may be my favorite so far. I’ve been a fan of Mallory’s for a while. She’s been great to Alice and a great sister. Until now she’s been a supporting cheater and it’s great to see her in the spotlight. I Highly recommend this book.

I loved this story. It has an easy to read format with a rhyming rhythm. The pictures are beautiful and easy to grab attention. I do believe my favorite part are the little treat recipes in the back. The author makes these such neat books. The story is always informative and entertaining. It always teaches with neat lessons after the story. Well, book 2 turned out to be just as exciting as book 2. Julia is still on quite the exciting adventure. Holy Moses, this girl isn’t catching a break any way that you shake the stick. I loved the drama and adventure. I was pulled in again right from the beginning and could not put it down. I found the characters to be quite engaging. What a wonderful mix of eclectic personalities. The concept was well developed. I can’t wait to read the next book.

This novel was everything I wanted; military, friends to lovers, and suspenseful. This was also very family oriented and I love a good book that is geared toward family. The main characters, Caleb and Harper, are both spunky and determined. Their personalities glow as they search for Will, Harper’s brother and Caleb’s best friend.
The only downside of this novel was I felt like there could have been more action. The plot was good, but it could have used a touch of surprise here and there. That is the only reason for 4 stars for me rather than 5. Otherwise it is a very quick read that will have you going “one more page” for hours on end.

Ian is a Shinree and cones from a family of warriors so it’s pretty much expected that he’s pulled into the ongoing war with the Langorians ….
Ian has a good heart but at times it felt like his goodness was being taken for granted and what’s a good story if there’s not a dash of romance 😍 all in all a magical welcome back into a world of fantasy 🍄

To me , it feels like Ian is seen as the saviour of the Shinree but at what cost ? He’s been beaten , tortured and broken , his people are free but still enslaved and oppressed and , people from all across are hungry for freedom and they’re looking to Ian , hoping he’s the one that’ll lead them but he’s needing to heal himself ….

I like the covers on all the books in the series but this feels a little different , like the magic is possessing Ian and after reading , even more so 💥
This is the end of the trilogy and be sure to have read the other books otherwise you’ll feel totally lost , I’ll be honest I was exhausted as I binge read but that in no way reflects on the book ❣️📚 what I would recommend is take a breather in between each one that way you will take more in and do the series justice 🥰
The fate of an entire race lays at Ian’s feet and sacrifices have to be made and again it seems like it all falls on Ian . Everything comes together and there’s action , love , drama and quite a bit of action , so a few boxes have been ticked

I love these books! I’ve read every Titan book that’s been released so far and none of them have disappointed me. Forbiddenly Yours is no different. Actually Forbiddenly Yours combines two of my guilty pleasures in these types of books. Passion and Forbidden Fruit(Professor/Student relationship. Nicole and Callum both ended up on a retreat in Costa Rica. Nicole being the daughter/niece of Titans in California and Manhattan. Callum a Titan in Chicago. But nothing could go wrong right. They and strangers during their trip, not knowing the details about the other, besides they both come from wealth. So what happens when after a night of passion turns into their worst nightmare. She’s his student, he’s her professor, which would make any relations between them forbidden. Will they be able to resist one another? Or will they cross the line? I’m sure you can guess the second answer, but jumping in and reading makes it all the more worthwhile. These books may be part of a series, but they are very much standalone novels as well. Though I’ll warn you once you read one you are going to want to read them all!! And they are totally worth it. Just you wait and see, after you take the leap on this one.

I have read a few books from this author and she always blows my mind. This is the fourth book of the very addictive Predator series. You can read this book as a stand alone but there are some previous characters in the story as well. I was hooked on this book right from the start. I could not put this book down until the end. It only took me a few hours to devour this story. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Noah moves to a small town in the middle of nowhere in hopes of getting lost in the crowd, knowing that someday his past will surface.
Noah is attempting small town life as a handyman. When he crosses paths with Bijou, Noah realizes that there might still be room in his life for more than just his son. Bijou also fights the idea that she can move on with her life even after 6 without her husband. As Noah and Bijou rediscover love, they slowly rediscover themselves. Despite a few hiccups along the way, their love blossoms.
This was a heart-wrenching but warming addition to this series.

I loved the sneak peek into how things like music videos are made and the real goss behind the scenes of the music and video industries. Jennie Chen has been active in purpose bred dogs since 2001 earning over 75 titles in conformation, competitive obedience, rally, herding, lure coursing, weight pull, drafting, water rescue, packing, and animal assisted therapy. Her first AKC Champion was a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, Ch Dixieland Blazing Maximus, CGC, HIT, SS, SWET, WETT, HIC, WETX, WTXX, WPD, DD, WWDS, RN, CD, THDA, VGS, 2017 GSMDCA Ambassador of the Breed, “Mouse.” Mouse was the first Greater Swiss Mountain Dog to earn any Water Rescue titles, and he was spokesdog for the Keep Austin Dog Friendly trend for many years appearing in magazines, news clips, and serving the community as an animal assisted therapy dog. Keep Austin Dog Friendly was nominated for a Webby Award in 2016.
In addition to Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs, she also owns a pride of Lowchen or The Little Lion Dogs. In 2019, she piloted her Lowchen, GCHS Musicbox Got Your Six at Roman Reign “Target” to #1 All-Systems, #1 OH for 2019 and 2020. Target went on to win the Breed at the AKC National Championship in 2019, Westminster in 2020, and Best in Specialty Show in 2021.
Jennie has served on various board and committee positions in the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Club of America, the Lowchen Club of America, as well as regional Newfoundland and Bernese Mountain Dog Clubs. She is a GSMDCA draft judge and weight pull judge.
Giselle Nevada
Originally from the Philippines, Giselle came to the US to attend Wellesley College where she studied Economics. After graduation, she worked in managing risk/compliance teams, specializing in machine learning and more recently, risk policy.
Giselle has owned several mastiffs over the past 20 years, some from reputable breeders and others she rescued as adults. Her experience with rescuing and fostering mastiffs led her to become interested in socialization as a way of preventing future issues. She enjoys working with her dogs and has trained them in various canine sports such as carting, conformation, agility, rally, trick dog, nose work, and more. Her puppy, Porter, is an example of the success of early socialization, having earned multiple performance dog titles and even starred in a movie directed by Marian Yeager called “Match Me If You Can.”
Giselle is an active member of various dog clubs such as the Scentwork ATX Club, Capitol Dog Training Club of Austin, and the Mastiff Club of America. She has lived in Austin for over two decades, and her passion for dogs and socialization continues to inspire her work.
