Untrainable By Jamie Schlosser. The characters in this story completely stole my heart and ran off with it. From page one the author had me completely hooked on Theo and Hadley. They just have a connection that leaps off the pages and plays out in front of you. This author is quickly making it to the top of my must read authors because the stories are always written well with relatable characters. I crawl inside and never want to leave. I love a book that makes me laugh. I’m giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it. Can’t wait to see where this author takes readers next time!!!
This is the first book I have read from Susannah Nix and I was pleasantly surprised. Normally when we think of celebrity romance we think of something light and fun but this wasn’t it and I loved that!
I loved Alice! Miss Nix had a way of showing her strengths and weaknesses but even made her weaknesses seem like a strength. She did an amazing job on letting us in her head which was amazing because I felt like there was a subplot to this book (I don’t want to ruin it for you) and she did a masterful job showcasing it!
I also loved Griffin. We see a side of him as being a celebrity that we normally don’t in these types of romances. It’s the side that completely sucks that you’re in the lime light. Normally we see the glory, not the “annoyance” it can bring!
Beautiful story if your looking for something completely different!

The story Tapped (The Night Moves Book 3) by Tarrah Anders is a contemporary romance book. It is a story that I loved reading. One of the main reasons are the characters of Janae and Kai. These two have a past which left Kai with a broken heart. Now they find themselves back together at the same place of employment. They both still have feelings for each other. There is still an attraction and chemistry between them. Some might call it fate. These two have a second chance at romance. Motives are unclear when a very good friend of Kai’s comes to visit. Why is he there and what will the effects of his visit be? Will they be split apart, or will they find their HEA? Read this book to find out. I loved reading about the interactions/dialogue between Janae, Kai, and the other additional characters in the story. Janae and Kai work at an establishment where there they are made to feel like family. You can feel the protective nature and the comradery. This story does include steamy scenes that make the temperature in the room rise. I grew to care about Janae and Kai with each chapter that I read, and I wanted them to find happiness. This is a romance book that will pull you in from the very start and I didn’t want to put it down until I had finished the final chapter. A story you don’t want to miss out on reading.

Untrainable by Jamie Schlosser had me hooked from the moment I started reading it. There was something about Theo from the very beginning that made me fall for him, it may have been the fact he’s a Cubs fan. As I learned more about his life I felt like I needed mother him.
Hadley couldn’t have been a better fit for Theo for so many reasons. Her love of dogs or the underdog had me. She is a great person and it was obvious from the beginning.
My only complaint is the fact Ms. Schlosser called the Cubs home park Wrigley Park instead of Wrigley Field. I’m not sure how many readers would have caught that, but as a Cubs fan it bugged me. But other than me being me I loved it and I’m hoping to see another book featuring Theo, Hadley and Aiden.

The Memory Of Us by Lisa Sorbe had my emotions all over the place. Elena having to go to her hometown after bring gone for twelve years to bury her Mother stirred something in me. It brought back a lot of the feelings I had when I went back to buy my Daddy. I too moved far from my hometown and tried not to look back.
Weston was Elena’s best friend practically from birth but when she left Minnesota he was left there to move forward. Imagine her surprise when she sees him almost as soon as she gets in.
I laughed, cried, shook my head and muttered to myself while reading this. There are several layers to this story which get peeled back one at a time. I have had the pleasure of reading all of Ms. Sorbe’s books and she has become one of the authors I will look for. Can’t wait to see what she gives me next.

Awakening of a Soul Keeper: Prequel to The Soul Keeper Series written by Brienne Dubh. This is a quick short read. You get to know Theodora, Sam, Lyzander and Roman along with how they met. I have not read the other stories in the book so getting to know them as the stories progress will be interesting based off of this. I like Theodora she seemed like a strong character whether she was defending herself or just being herself (even if she had to be a mouthy). Lyzander I think will be interesting to get to know, he seems like the big bad alpha male (which is expected since he’s technically the king). I’m curious to see where the story goes and the way this ends definitely makes you want more.

This is my second book by this author and I enjoyed it as much as the first one. I enjoy the writing style and her characters always seem to grab me right from the start, this one had me thinking I had things figured out only to be totally wrong and sitting on the edge of my seat.
This one was a bit more emotional than the first one I read and had me a hot mess through most of the book. Two completely broken people who seem to have too many differences to make it work seem to find a way to fit perfectly. I loved how strong Perrin was and with her attitude and living life loving adventures and taking chances it made me want to be her friend and her loyalty to friends and family was awesome. Im impressed by how this author handled Emil and how she tackled his PTSD it was written beautifully and had my emotions all over the place. I loved the inner dialogues that were portrayed by these characters.
I absolutely loved this story and have already added this author to my one click list, I can’t recommend it enough and also can’t wait for more from this author. I also want to learn Bachata dancing, I googled it and love it!
I love how the author writes with creativeness and has the ability to make me feel as if I am part of the book. This is a story of second chances and starting over. Janae and Kai had a relationship when they were younger and now fate may give them a second chance. But when secrets are revealed will it hurt their relationship and turn them against each other? These two are well developed and strong. Will hearts mend or will they break all over again? I highly recommend this book.

This is a sweet holiday story that will warm your heart. This is my first story by this author, it is well written and creative. The characters brought romance, humor, and drama to a story of starting over and leaving the past in the past. Amy was looking forward to the Christmas season until things didn’t go as planned. Amy is a character that you might dislike as she is into herself but she is a strong character that makes the story flow. I highly recommend reading this book.
This isn’t my usual go to genre but i must admit i did enjoy it i was pulled in right from the get go. The storyline keeps you on your toes with all the twists and turns along the way. It’s a fantastic fantasy novel and if like me it isn’t your usual read i recommend giving it ago it has a great paced story line with amazing character’s it has definitely opened my eyes to read more from this genre.
I’ve started this year off with a bang! Untrainable is one incredible Rom-Com! I read this book in one sitting as I got so wrapped up in the story that I didn’t want to stop! From the very beginning Theo held my heart, he was funny, sweet, caring and thoughtful, which made him the perfect book boyfriend.
I can’t even count the amount of times I caught myself giggling as I followed this storyline. It was highly enjoyable the whole way through. This was my first book by this author but it sure won’t be my last, I can’t wait to dive into my next book by this author!
I would absolutely recommend this rom-com to anyone looking for their next romance!

Player by Pamela DuMond a royal flush of a five-star read. This is the first novel in the 21st Century Courtesan series and my first from this author and I can’t wait to sink my teeth into book 2. I don’t know hat I loved most about this one, it was all so sublime. There was love and drama as well as a darkness that will thrill you. This is one of those reads that you will read the surface and then pick up the undercurrents and they will grip you so hard, sometimes that can get a little confusing for me, but this author has a way with words that just flows so well you can keep up with it all. I don’t know if it was Evie as a character that helped me kept me so hooked or just the storyline. This is one of the first reads for this year and I suspect it’s going to be one of the best.

His parents have worked hard all their life and he wants them to reap the benefits. Jake also doesn’t think he’s ever gonna settle down so he has a friend with benefits. This story is a sweet love story with a splash of redemption, healing, and humor. I enjoyed reading about Theo and Hadley. The characters have great chemistry and matched well! I love that this story is told from both characters point of view. I feel that I get a better grasp of the characters when the story is told from both point of view. I feel that Jamie Schlosser did a great job with writing about relationships that our characters have and how it affects our characters. This is what I really loved about this book, and I thought this made the whole story more than just a love story!

After seeing Hadley Holiday in a television show, Theo Legend can’t seem to get her out of his head or his dreams. Known as a bad boy and in need on money, he thinks of an idea to get both.
Hadley Holiday may not have won on The Final Showdown but she wants a career in show business and when she offered a job by Theo, she takes it.
Theo may not believe in love at first sight, but there is definitely something there between the two of them.
I always grab any book by this author and was not disappointed. I was hoping for a new book in The Good Guys series but this was a really cute novel set in reality television. Something I used to read when I was younger and gave me better insight how things happen behind the scene.
For anyone looking for a cute quick read, I recommend this novel. It’s the perfect book to start off the year with.

I have read many of this authors books, all of them The Satan’s Devils Tucson chapter and I love every one that I have read..I have become emotionally invested in all of these people but I have to say and this isn’t easy because each one is perfection…This one is my favorite as of right now. I don’t really know why but many aspects of this story had me so hooked and I sincerely did not want this book to end. Miss Mellett has absolutely positively outdone herself with this new Colorado chapter of the Satan’s Devils MC.
I’ll be honest I was worried about the change of location, the change of members, and most of all leaving behind those that I had grown to love but the way this was handled was perfectly brilliant in my opinion. Reading the different POV’s and never wondering or getting confused about what was going on made this transition for me very simple. Moira’s story was probably the most real story I’ve read in a long time…her thoughts, her fears everything was written and described in a way that would have any woman even nearing “that time” appreciating how real this story was and omg Hellfire..one of my favorite characters EVER..again with the real life stuff and just his character is unlike many other stories I’ve read.
Then..I haven’t even mentioned Pal and Jay who were the ones in the story I could relate to because they were the ones forced to make all the changes with location and learning all over again who you could and couldn’t trust.
I literally could probably write a 4 page review about this book, I have to stop because there are too many things I want to say. There is a lot going on in this book and it has me wanting the next like right now! I can’t wait for Demons story in Colorado and then Thankfully I get to go back to Tucson for Blades story…
LOVE LOVE LOVE this author, this series and knowing what is still to come.
(This can absolutely be read without reading the books before but i DO NOT recommend this…You would be missing out on so so much if you don’t read them all!)

I have to start with the gorgeous cover of this book first and foremost. Sometimes the most simplestated covers are the ones that stand out the most. The contrast of the bright purple flower against the black background grabbed my attention, along with the title, and had me hooked into buying this book without even knowing what it was about. I am glad that I went in blind and was treated to a new and delicious new treat. Not only was T. Birmingham a new author, so I have a new author to add to my TBR list, but I also now have a new series to follow as this is the first book of the Fallen Eagles MC Series. There was so much packed into this short and well crafted second chance romance that it is hard to believe that it was just a mere 154 pages. I felt the gambit of emotions, from knee buckling sadness to giddy joy, and that is everything you could ever want in a romance novel. I can’t wait to see what will come next for this series and in the other novels available from T. Birmingham.

Man this author really knows how to throw you curveballs in stories. I’m still stunned over what I just read. Jordan and Ben have a complicated relationship and it just got even more so. Ok so being totally honest I was not sure about this book at all – it is completely out of my comfort zone for reading, I’m more of a romance kind of girl but I had seen a few friends say how good it was so I thought I would give it a go. I am so glad I gave it go, have I been converted to post-apocalyptic, zombie stories, probably not but I cannot fault the authors writing at all. The story was exciting, full of action and I found myself wanting to keep turning the pages to find out what was going to happen. At times it almost felt like I was reading about a movie, the authors descriptive language was great and the story rich in detail. I really felt like I was right there with Rafe and Charlie as they tried to survive. An exciting 4 star read that I would definitely recommend.

This romance was sweet and difficult to put down. Elena and West were precious childhood friends who went down different paths following the death of Elena’s father and brother before she graduated high school. Bottling up and coping with her emotions made her a different person. When she returns home to bury her mother many years later after not speaking to West, her childhood memories and emotions come barreling back. I was amazed at the playfulness West expressed with her and loved seeing the two reconnect. It made for a wonderful read.

A Christmas Wish is the second book in A Manhattan Dream series by Engy Neville. It is an interesting holiday romance. This is the first book of Ms. Neville’s that I have read, and as I love a good Christmas story, I was excited to jump in. I felt the story held quite a lot of promise- but didn’t quite achieve its true potential. The story itself is quite sweet and intriguing. But I had difficulty connecting to Amy, the main female character. She came across to me as fairly self-involve/self-centred, and frustrated me a lot. There were parts of the story that were overly detailed, and then other parts that may have been more relevant, which were not detailed enough. A lot of time was spent in Amy’s ‘head’- I felt there was too much ‘thinking’ and not enough ‘doing’. I would read another of Ms. Neville’s books to see what else she can do, and I will probably revisit this book again in the future to see if I still feel the same way, or if it just caught me on a ‘bad’ day.

Rising Star is a contemporary romance by Susannah Nix. It book grabbed my attention from the very first page and I couldn’t put it down until I finished. This is the second or third book I have read by Ms. Nix and she is now a permanent add to my TBR list. I love the fact that she brings issue in the mainstream into her stories. The romance between Alice and Griffin is slow build that is which is refreshing because not all relationships are instantaneous. If you are looking for a strong romance with deep issues discussed, this is a great read. I highly recommend this book and author.

Degrees of Power is the fourth book in the Prestian Series by Via Mari. This is a fantastic series, that I recommend you read in order, or you will not have the backstory to understand all the dynamics going on. This is the best installment of this series so far. Katarina and Chase’s story continues in Degrees of Power, and I love how Ms. Mari shows different aspects of making a relationship work in each book in this series. This final book in the series brings closer to some of the things left open in the previous books. Very entertaining story and I would highly recommend this series. You definitely won’t be disappointed.

Paladin’s Hell, Satan’s Devils MC: Colorado Chapter #1 by Manda Mellett. This is a book that I could not wait to read!!! While it is the first book in this series, I feel that you should read the books in the first Satan’s Devils series to get a better understanding of Paladin and Jayden. Paladin’s became Jayden’s hero when he was there to save her. While they both had feeling for each other, the age difference was just too big. When they have to leave Tucson and go to Colorado for safety, they may finally get the chance to be together. Their age isn’t an issue anymore and they will no longer be under the watchful eyes of all of the brothers. Will they be able to have their happy ever after or are other circumstances going to be in the happy path? I absolutely loved this book and I can not wait for more from this author!!!!!!

Player is the first book in the 21st Century Courtesan series by Pamela DuMond and my first book by this author. I will admit the blurb is what caught my eye and it didn’t disappoint. The book started a little slow but you need to understand where Evie’s life took a turn. By halfway, I couldn’t put this book down because things just took a turn and I wanted to know what was going to happen next. Evie and Dylan were so comfortable with one another that I can see why Evie didn’t want to go back to her life in Chicago. Now, I have so many questions that I need the next book ASAP!

Manda Mellett did again with Paladin’s Hell: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado’s Chapter). I loved her other series of Satan’s Devils series. This new edition Colorado’s Chapter is promising. Manda Mellett is an amazing author who kept me engaged in the story from the beginning to the end. Her characters are fully developed and believable. I have found that it is sometimes a letdown when an author starts a new series with characters from a previous series. Not in this case what so ever. The story is fresh and has many new trials and tribulations. I love Jayden and Paladin’s story and the fact that Hellfire and Moira is a couple that they are living with is even better. Will Jayden and Paladin learn from Hellfire and Moira or will their relationship fall apart? You will have to read about their story to find out all the details.

Player (21st Century Courtesan) by Pamela DuMond is a five star novel. I am a poker player and it was really fun to read a book that has poker as a part of the story. Also, hearing someone describe their view on other people’s tells was also great to read about. I loved how he analyzed her while he was working her up to have his way with her. Evie is a high end escort but not the kind that sleeps with her clients. She always makes sure to keep that separate, until she meets Dylan. He keeps her at arms length first but then realizes that neither of them can stay away from the other. Evie works to help men who are aging a difficult time to heal. After growing up with a rough life and something she feels guilty for, she knows she needs to help these men so that maybe she can heal herself as well. Review by @julie-lounello
The Memory Of Us is a brilliant second chance, Boy next door read that is captivating and incredible from the start. This is my first read from this author and after reading this book I can guarantee it will not be my last. This author has a created an amazing read with real and relatable characters and also a writing style that flows smoothly and a plot line that hooks you from the beginning.
This read is real, and raw and take you on an emotional rollercoaster. This read is filled with loss, heartache, love and second chances. Our main characters Elena & Weston are some of the most real characters I have read in a long time, their story that is told in this book is a rollercoaster but their connection is strong and they have amazing chemistry. I loved reading their journey in this read, they grew as characters as well and seeing their story unfold in this incredible story, was something nobody should miss reading.
This is a read everyone should take the time to enjoy and not miss out on! It will give you a new author to look out and most importantly new characters to following and enjoy.

The Memory of Us by Lisa Sorbe was a great read for me. The two main characters are Elena Everhart and Weston Brooks. They have literally been the best of friends since they were babies. They did everything fun together growing up and also got into trouble together. Elena Was destined to move away. She had big plans for her future. Meanwhile Weston wanted her to stay forever. Elena had been through a lot of heartache and loss in her 17 years of life and just needed to get away. Leaving Weston and going to Phoenix for college and to start her life broke both Elena’s and Weston’s hearts. She kept in contact with her only living relative, her mom and even had her come to Phoenix to visit every so often. When Elena gets word her mom has passed away, her past comes rushing back. She returns home to deal with cleaning out the house and putting it on the market and runs right into Weston on the first day. Weston and Elena still have strong feelings for each other so many years later but Elena tries everything to keep her heart locked up. Luckily for her, Weston doesn’t give up easy and is there every step of the way to help her with everything and then there is the time capsule….I feel like that was the turning point in the book. I thought the book was well written and kept the readers entertained. When A couple is meant to be together there’s nothing such as distance, years or career choices that can keep them apart. Fate is fate!

Paladin’s Hell is the first book in Manda Mellett’s Satan’s Devils Colorado Chapter series. We’re introduced to the Colorado Chapter through Paladin, a young man transferring from the Arizona Chapter, which is the focus of Mellett’s Satan’s Devils MC books. Since his involvement in rescuing her as a teenager, Paladin has been close to Jayden and acted as her protector. When faced with new threats, he agrees to accompany her to a different state where, they hope, she will be safer. I picked this book more-or-less at random, without any particular interest in motorcycle clubs. Honestly, I really enjoyed it. I was gripped, constantly mulling over the characters and their situations whenever I didn’t have the book in front of me. There’s strong friendship and brotherhood, love and trust, but also betrayal, hatred and misunderstanding. It’s a very human story. For all of the scantily clad club girls and eager hangarounds, the romance and sex are far from idealistic. The two main female characters are both rape survivors, worried about enjoying what has been used to hurt them. We see an ageing couple, coming to terms with changes in their own and each other’s bodies. We see a young couple, fumbling as they figure out what they like and don’t like. It’s not glamorous, but it is romantic. As a newcomer to the Colorado Chapter, we are introduced to the characters and set up through Paladin. I haven’t read any of Mellett’s books about the Arizona Chapter, and didn’t have any problems following the story. Now that I’ve enjoyed Paladin’s Hell, though, I’m eager to read some of them! For me, this is a five star book. I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did, but it’s a really good book. At times violent, and discussing rape and sexual abuse, it’s not always a cheery read but it’s empowering and, ultimately, positive. Definitely worth a read!
