You’ve really got to love a forbidden romance novel this one had me completely hooked. The storyline flowed and kept my attention throughout i just couldn’t put it down. Webb and Lily’s romance isn’t a simple ride there’s many bumps along the way it certainly keeps you on the edge of your seat and eager to turn the pages. The main character’s are absolutely amazing and they really brought this story to live. I really enjoyed the banter between them and there chemistry was scorching hot. I highly recommend this novel definitely a must read!!
Victoria can’t believe what she just did. She got married to a man she’s only known about a month — in Vegas no less! But there is something about Brad. She fell in love with him right away and goes with her instinct. So she says I Do, quits her job and packs up her former life to move across the country to Florida. She knows Brad has a son and a mother and she is anxious to meet them both. She quickly realized that she jumped in without looking. Brad’s mother is a piece of work. She can’t seem to let Brad go. Is it just the pain of him some belonging to someone else? Or does go much deeper than that?
This was an interesting book. I have to admit, I didn’t know just what to expect. The “evil mother-in-law” has been done many times. But this book does it with a twist. I can’t really say too much without giving anything away, but the ending was surprising and yet satisfying too. The characters were very realistic. I could them being a family I read about in the newspaper.
A suspenseful, gripping story, I highly recommend this book.

Building Storm by Gwyn McNamee a Squall of a five-star read. This is the forth novel in the Hawke Family series and they are best when read in order, they each have such powerful and gripping story lines, I do think that Building Storm may just be the best, after I had read the previous novels and loved them and I feel that getting to know Storm and watch her story develop just made this one so much stronger and more compelling. I don’t want to say too much as I would hate to give spoilers as there are a few points that you will feel like the rugs been pulled from under you and you will just adore it!! I love how Gwyn McNamee brings the city of New Orleans to life in the pages almost like another character along with the buildings and the description they will blow you away, the passion and drama written between the pages are simply sublime, if you haven’t read this series then you need to go buy them all, it’s such a powerful series that you can’t miss.

Number 5 in this series and I am still hanging on every word this author writes! Yes they can be all read as a standalone but they are all equally as amazing so highly recommend them too. I love nothing more than a friends to lover’s story, I think friendship can be such a good base for a relationship sometimes and this story was just the most perfect example of that. Ms Stewart always manages to make me fall in love with her characters, they are always genuinely nice people and they feel like you are reading about your friends. I loved Olivia, she was so sweet and funny, and I can see why Brett was so enamoured with her! Brett, bless his heart, you could really tell how much Olivia meant to him, and in my opinion they were so perfect for each other. They had a really good chemistry that was genuine and not over the top, I was secretly rooting for them the whole way through. As with all of this authors books you can count on the secondary characters being brilliant and they were – they all add something to the story that make it so much more enjoyable to read. As always I cannot wait to read more from this author in the future – she is definitely one of my go to authors!

This isn’t the first book that I have read by this author so I knew I would be in for a good read and as I expected I wasn’t disappointed at all. Apart from the amazing characters and storyline I just adore this authors writing. Her books are so easy to read and she has a way of making her characters really feel like they are real. Her detailed writing captures my attention straight away and I never want to put her books down. I liked that the story wasn’t quite what I was expecting and that actually made it really interesting to read. Usually MC books have a naive female character that gets protected by the alpha male but the female lead in this could absolutely hold her own and had a different story to tell, she has issues in a completely different way. I really fell for Kit’s character and I thought that author did an amazing job with her story; I could feel everything that she did and that really poured off the pages to me as I read about her. Lee also was not what I was expecting and my heart broke for him quite a few times as he struggled with not only his own issues but trying to help Kit overcome hers too. This was a really touching and emotional read and one that I highly recommend- I am looking forward to reading book 2!

The Memory of Us by Lisa Sorbe was an engaging, emotional read that had me hooked form start to finish.
Not my first read by this author I was hooked right away. That opening was powerful and set the stage for this witty romance about second chances and starting over. My only complaint is that some of the vocab that Elena used in her head voice as a little, weird you could say. I had to look some up, only to find out it was something simple. I know you have to mix things up, but sometimes, using an odd word for, something simple like, fake, brakes the flow and just makes the sentence sound odd and choppy. Other than that, there was nothing else that broken me from this reading spell.
I fell right away for our MC’s, both Elena and Weston were written so well, and multi layered, that you would almost believe that this was a memoir about their journey rather than a fictional story. The, as I’ve said, raw emotions, the ups downs, the past present, and the growing pains of leaning what it is to be an adult, was real, connecting and at times hit close to home. This book is a must read, and I can’t stress enough how good, honest and just humbling this story is.
If you haven’t guessed I highly recommend this book, and it gets my golden stamp of approval. Now head on over on get it, it will touch your heart and melt your soul.

Wow! This fast paced, paranormal romance was everything I hoped it would be and unexpectedly more. The characters are rich and detailed. The storyline moves quickly and maintained my interest from first page to last. The universe created in these pages was one that I immediately became engrossed in and didn’t want to leave. Cannot wait to read more in the series and from this author! A must read!

A Terrible Beauty (Fallen Eagles MC Book 1) by T. Birmingham is a second chance romance that is not pretty and not your normal MC story, it is a story of a MC that is a family of veterans. It is a story of the horrors of war that has affected the lives of so many. It shows how vile some people can be.
Whilst no longer part of the war but still a victim, Kit is broken and is forced to finally face her past face to face. A past that has haunted her for years. A past that has destroyed lives.
It is a fast paced story that is hard to read some of the scenes but I thoroughly enjoyed it and I devoured it easily in one sitting. This story will leave you with a heartache but also a warm heart but beware there will be tears. The story is so powerful it had me engrossed to the very end. T. Birmingham is a great storyteller and her characters are easily enchanting with their quirks and all, and your emotions match theirs as we journey along this tough and sh*tty road with them.

So not what I thought it was going to be. But I am not disappointed at all! A Terrible Beauty is the first book in the Fallen Eagles MC Series by T. Birmingham. Typical MC series are men only clubs. This one has both men and women, which I was happily surprised. All of the club members are former military and some have even served together. Summer “Kit” was captured and held for 30 hours along with Hammond. What happened during that time was a horror no one wants to ever happen. That happened 10 years ago. They have kept that secret from mostly everyone. Kit was supposed to be with Hammond’s brother Leland or Lee. Hammond is married to Kit’s older sister Autumn. The secret between Kit and Hammond has damaged their relationships. As well as the love story between Kit and Lee redevelops throughout the book there is also a mystery that is going on. Someone is trying to sabotage the families of returning military men and women from war. Now that person is targeting Kit, Hammond and Casper. Casper was also with them during the capture. There are so many ups and downs as well as twists and turns. It was an emotional rollercoaster as well. I absolutely adored this book! I cannot wait for the next book in the series. It is no wonder that this author is an International Best Selling Author!

Alive (The Sundown Series) written by Courtney Konstantin. This is not my normal genre as I tend to creep myself out with this type of story. Charlie and Rafe are the two main characters and the story is told in alternating point of view depending on the scene. As the story progresses you gain more details and characters. Alive is a good story and I did enjoy it, I was eager to see how it would end and what would happen with all the characters, including “the suit”.

Surviving Jordan by Virginia Wine is book three of the Surviving Series. Due to content and language this book is suggested for readers 18+. It is suggested that you read the first two books first so you get the whole story.
From the moment Ben laid eyes on her, he’s known Jordan is the one he wants to be with. He just could never cross the line. Then Ben gets information that makes Jordan even more off limits than before. There is serious attraction between the two but Jordan can tell Ben is pulling away so to protect herself she does as well. Will these two find their way to each other or will Jordan always be forbidden to Ben?
What I enjoyed about this book is similar with the other books in the series. This book focuses on the main characters but the book also picked up the characters from previous books and ties them all in. It’s nice that they didn’t instantly just go to the background. I enjoyed reading the interactions between all the characters. There is so much tension and passion in this book it jumps off the page at you. It was a definite emotional rollercoaster but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I have read some of the writers before so I knew that I will have some good time ahead of me when I needed to have something short and sweet (and hot) to read during holidays! The stories are not connected so I can start wherever you want and obviously I started with the writers that I had fallen in love before – Tamara Ferguson and Allyson R. Abbott (and then went for Kris Jayne and Stephanie Queen and Jane Blythe and …). I love picking up collections time to time as it is a great way of being introduced to new writers! I will touch more upon Tamara Ferguson and Allyson R. Abbott’s stories in more detail though I do think that every one of the stories has something to give! A Kiss Under A Blue Christmas Moon by Tamara Ferguson was a sweet story that took us back to Crystal Rock, Wisconsin, where we meet Mia Michaels and Noah Erikson and we keep our fingers crossed for Christmas miracle! This couple had their chance for happiness torn away from them six years earlier when Noah left for the Air Force. Neither of them has been able to move on so join them in the magical small town where other miracles have happened! Foxxy Christmas by Allyson R Abbott is another one of her heartwarming Christmas stories providing us with a dash of suspense, revenge, drama and romance … and let’s not forget about destiny! What should happen will happen … or will it now? The story has quite a few triggers so be forewarned, if you feel through the story you get a raw emotional read that doesn’t leave anyone unmoved!

As soon as I started reading this book I could not put it down. I found this story to be intriguing and riveting. I loved reading about Evie and Dylan. Evie is a high paid escort and a teacher, and I loved her character. There is definitely a lot of chemistry between her and Dylan. Dylan is a broken man and needs healing and Evie might be the only one who can heal him. What will happen between them? What will happen when someone starts stalking Evie? This book will take you on an emotional journey you won’t want to miss. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book.

Wish Upon a Bollywood Star is a book by Pamela Q Fernandes that plays like Bollywood movie. I grew up with Bollywood movies back in Soviet Union so I could simply close my eyes and picture it all in my head … the head moves and hand gestures and at times I could hear the music in the background! I had read Painting Kuwait Violet before and absolutely fell in love with Pamela’s writing – she is amazing with her words – they paint a picture and you get inside of a foreign culture without leaving your armchair. I have to say though that Painting Kuwait Violet left such a powerful impression on me that Wish Upon a Bollywood Star had to work hard! Wish Upon a Bollywood Star is the story of a Bollywood playboy Vir Seth and a PR assistant Soumya Ninan who he manages to anger to the extent that she goes for a revenge that seems to backfire or so you think … the writer gives us a whirlwind engagement that gets out of control and in the end it is no longer a game! Come along on the journey through Hindu traditions and Bollywood lights and see how the game ends!

Heart of A Hunk is an anthology put together by some amazing authors. I enjoyed almost every story. I like how you get to sample an authors work. From an anthology you can find new authors to enjoy. These books were well written and the authors presented something different. Not any story was the same. The men and women represented a rang of characteristics and emotional strengths and weaknesses. I also like the thought of reading shorter chapters and short stories. You get just the right amount of romance and not the lengthy filler pages. The story that stood out the most was Foxxy Christmas by Allyson R Abbott. It was full of sass and realness. I also liked A Demon’s Gift by Jocelyn Dex. I found that story to be entertaining and creative. All the stories had many good points and I will be checking out more of these authors works.

I’ve come to realize that I enjoy Virginia Wine’s writing style. I have fallen in love with her Surviving series, and let’s just say that Surviving Jordan was not a disappointment. I fell in love with this storyline and the way in which it flowed. The author does a great job of developing characters that the readers can relate to and fall in love with. I loved their trials and tribulations, and where it led them to. I can’t wait to see where else the author takes us to. This was definitely a 5 Star Review.

TAPPED is book 3 in the “Night Moves” series and can absolutely be read and enjoyed as a stand-alone.
A quick read that brings a lot to the table. The characters are uncomplicated and we have a good idea what their agenda is right from the beginning. There is humor (the explanation between “erotic dancer” and “stripper” had me chuckling) and awwww moments too. I like that this book is written with ZERO judgement and without the typical stereotypes that surround the industry.
There is a new character introduced that I want to know more about and I hope he gets his story told next. This is one of those series that could go on for a while because we are always “meeting” new friends and there is some building of their story as we go along. It is also fun to visit the characters we were introduced to in previous books.
This was an easy one-sitting read that I recommend.

WRITTEN IN THE STARS is book 2 in the “Fallen Eagle MC Series”. While I think it can be read as a stand-alone, there are a few threads carried from the first book so I think it would be a richer reading experience if you can read in order.
Like TERRIBLE BEAUTY this story is a romantic suspense that is full of great characters, well defined plot points and a style of writing that took me on the journey with Winter and Eagle (I’m not on a date with him, so can’t call him Davis). The story moves quickly and held my interest from start to finish.
Part of the story line in WRITTEN IN THE STARS can be tough to read but I think the author did a great job of keeping it real without glossing it over. I’ve read books with same subject matter that either made it so grizzly it seemed unrealistic or so shiny that it made it more romance than what it was.
This series has a good balance of suspense vs romance and I appreciate that everyone’s strength is highlighted regardless of gender “norms”.
This is absolutely a “one-click” author for me and I absolutely recommend this series.

Written in the Stars (Fallen Eagles MC Book 2) by T. Birmingham was an addicting read that will hook you from start to finish.
My First read by this author, I went in blind and man am I happy I did, well I have one regret, I regret not reading the first book. Though this can be read as a standalone, you can tell there are overlapping characters and things from that first book that would have helped me in this one in regards to character development and background. So don’t be like me and get that first book.
This book is more than a romance, it has a spine tingly murder mystery that plays quiet the roll, it’s actually the opening scene. Telling you right away that this book isn’t going to be light hearted. That alone pulled me in hard, and hooked me. I love me a good thriller and this book delivered. It not only gives you dark mystery, it gives you a serial killer to chase, as well as a growing love stories that somehow gets intertangled in it. This story has a little bit of everything, with rich, engaging writing and lush detail, you will get trapped in this stunningly real world that T. Birmingham has created.
Overall, and if you haven’t guessed, this book gets my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval.

Heart of a Hunk: A Limited-Edition Collection of Bad Boy, Billionaire and Hunky Romance Heroes by various authors is a hot collection of holiday romances that will melt your holly.
A solid collection of 24 stories, there is something for everyone. Two of the stories that I will be touching on are by authors that I have already had the pleasure of reading books by. Allyson R. Abbott and Tamara Ferguson. Being as these are all different stories you don’t need to read them in order, so start where you want and end were you want.
Foxxy Christmas by Allyson R. Abbott, was a different read for me, as I don’t normally venture too much into the escort type books. But being as I like Allyson’s other books, I fell right into her easy rhythm and found myself pulled into this raw emotional read. This read, will get you in the feels and if you are sensitive to assault, then I suggest maybe passing over this story as it does touch of some triggering scenarios. But the plot around revenge was intriguing, engaging and is what hooked me.
A Kiss Under A Blue Christmas Moon by Tamara Ferguson was a sweet romance that has all the heart meltyness of a hallmark movie. Like this author’s other works, I loved the characters and their interactions. I was rooting for these two from the start, and I didn’t want this story to end. A fast moving read, nothing was spared or compromised. This read was on par with Tamara’s other works.
Overall this collection is worth your time, and it is a limited time special edition so I highly suggest you take my high recommendation and my stamp of approval, and get your hand on this anthology before it’s gone.

Heart of a Hunk is a collection of books written by different authors. Two of the books I’m reviewing are Foxxy Christmas by Allyson R Abbott and A Kiss under a Blue Christmas Moon by Tamara Ferguson. I have read both authors before and have loved everything I have read by them.
Foxxy Christmas was great from the beginning. Foxxy was an escort / street walker or whatever her pimp decided to use her for. She made eye contact with a man one night while she was on a job and that was it. There was instant chemistry and he did what was needed to book her services for the following day. Foxxy is a very strong character. She didn’t give in easily but, she was finally convinced he was there to help her. Eddie is a very dangerous man who hands his hands into everything. Will Foxxy be able to pull off what she has planned or will it be a waste of time. Richard and Jerry ended up saving Foxxy’s life.
A Kiss under a Blue Christmas Moon took a few chapters to get me hooked. Mia and Noah met at school and instantly fell for each other. They finally got up the courage to speak to each other right before the summer. Only problem was, at the end of the summer Noah was leaving for the Air Force. Everything was going well during the summer until it didn’t. Mia had no idea why Noah never spoke to her again. Blackmail is an ugly thing that can ruin something wonderful. About 6 years later, what happens when they see each other again? Will the truth finally come out? This story was very addicting and I found myself reading so fast to find out how it ended.

The Cray Yates by Kimberly Packard is a fast short read that you will want to finish in one reading. This is not my first book by Kimberly Packard and will not be my last. This story was a major emotional story for me. There were high points and low points. The story is so realistic that I could see Callie being a close friend. This story gave me hope that there is some Christmas Magic left in the world. This is a special story with a young lady, Callie who lost her mother. Callie being the oldest sibling took upon the role of “Mother” to her younger siblings and she grew up fast. There are many things stacking up against the Yates family. Will Callie be able to get some Christmas Magic or will the circumstances be so great that things will fall apart? You will have to read this short story to find the answers.

The Way You Are by Sylvie Stewart is the fifth book in the Carolina Connections series. This book can be read as a stand-alone even though characters from the previous books do pop up here and there. For me this was the first book I have read in this series and I am now questioning why. This book is brilliant. It kept me thoroughly entertained throughout. I was laughing my way through at these characters. And I think part of that was because of how relatable I found them to be. Not only was it easy to imagine these characters and their troubles but it was easy to imagine yourself in their position, experiencing exactly what they were going through. The author really pulls you into the story and helps you to become a full part of it: I cannot recommend this book highly enough and I am going straight back to start again at book 1!View all my reviews

I literally had chills reading this book. The author has really written a very twisted spine chilling book that makes my mother-in-law look tame. I really found this author’s writing style to be refreshing and a step out of my comfort genre was really nice.
The characters are very relatable. I found myself drawn into the world and it felt as though I was Victoria. I really could relate with a mother-in-law who doesn’t like the wife, but this one really made me see just how fortunate I was. This book is very well written and all be it twisted with the plot it was a great read. I admit I don’t normally go for this type of book but I was very glad to have read it and gotten out of my normal genre. I would read more from this author in future.

Alive is the third book in the Sundown Series. It can be read as a standalone. There are main parts of the story that wrap up by the end, but the overall story is left open.
I’m not a huge fan of zombie apocalypse type stories, but this one was very well done. It was not over-the-top in gore and unnecessary violence. Action, adventure, and a smidge of romance made for an entertaining read. There were a few times I was so into the intense moments in the story I am surprised my grip on the Kindle didn’t crack it, lol.

Alive by Courtney Konstantin is the third book in the Sundown Series. This can be read as a standalone. Rafe Duncan and Charlie Brewer are the main characters and work in a secret government facility. There is a virus and when humans become exposed become flesh eating zombies. Rafe and Charlie are fighting to survive against the zombies as well as mercenaries who are after them. This is the first book I have read in the series and was blown away. I was taken into a strange existence and kept in suspene the whole book. The descriptions and characters are great. I really enjoyed the entire book and will be grabbing the first two books in the series. If you like a book with suspense, drama, and a great story you will enjoy this book.

Awakening Of A Soul Keeper: Prequel To The Soul Keeper Series by Brienne Dubh 5 out of 5 stars
This fast high action, fast paced, paranormal, fantasy romance novel will change how you want to read about vampires in the future. This book is the prequel to the series so you learn a lot about the characters and you are prepared to dive into the Soul Keeper Series if you have not already read or have started that series.
This book, while shorter, does an amazing job of building foundations of each characters and histories of each. I, myself, have not read the Soul Keeper series, however, I am happy that I started with this book. Theodora, our main female character, is strong, willful and full of fire. Lizander is hard, impassive and not at all what you think he should be by the end of the book as he grows to be someone completely unexpected. Theodora is the keeper of a vampire’s soul. Lizander is that Vampire. The interaction between the two of them is both hilarious and tense, expected yet unexpected. I HIGHLY recommend this book for lovers of paranormal, romance, and scifi fantasy.

Santa’s Little Helper is the first book I’ve read by Shaan Ranae. The cover image drew me in and I wanted to read it before I even know what it was about. It was a quick but cute romantic comedy that was entertaining and I read it in one sitting. Jake is the big wig, owner/boss of a department store his dad started. He is taking over and trying to make his dad proud and be a success, but he needs a Santa, and fast. He decides to fill in for the first shift, and cant take his eyes off the sexy elf. She almost makes it worth it for him to deal with bratty kids for a day. This is the start of a funny but cute relationship between Jake and the fiery redhead elf. Highly recommend the book. 5 star review.

It novel is short but hot, Jake, who is second generation of his family’s department store, finds himself in the unusual predicament of having to fill in for Santa one afternoon. He isn’t exactly what you call kid friendly. However, with a little help from Santa’s little helper, both Jake is able to pull off the perfect santa, but isn’t the last of his worries. I don’t want to give away too much, as this book is less than 100 pages, but it has all the markings of a great Hallmark movie and will give you some series warm and fuzzies, plus, and in some hot steamy romance scenes and you have the perfect holiday read!

I give PLAYER (21st Century Courtesan Book 1) by Pamela Dumond, 4 stars.
Evie is an escort that gets paid lots of money to help men with their problems. But it wasn’t always this way. She needed money fast so she did what she had to take care of her mom and sister. This is the story of when things finally turned for her. It all started with Dylan. A man who wanted a girl on his arm for the high stakes poker tournament. But what he needed was much more than that. He was broken and empath Evie was just the girl to help him. She had to at least try, didn’t she? Was he also going to steal her heart in the process?
This was quite an interesting book. I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect since this author is new to me. It was incredible. As soon as I started it, I could not put it down. Evie is such an intriguing main character. An empathic escort is something that I never even heard of in a book and this was refreshing to me. Some story angles have been done man times, but this on definitely breaks the mold. The story grips you from the start. There is heartache — deep rooted grief and heartache. But there is also fun and laughter. And hot and heavy scenes too. I cannot wait to see what the next book has in store. Evie is a new favorite character of mine.
If you like romances on the edgy side, with a bit of darkness thrown in, this book is for you.
